AmazingFound this app to be unbelievably accurate. There is room for improvement with the interface as I find it hard to get back to the search results if I want to check out other possible matches - I end up having to send the image again..Version: 3.0.1

Really goodUsually fairly accurate.Version: 3.15.11

So easy to useWorks.Version: 3.12.0

Great app, easy to useFound the app very easy to use and it’s identifies all plants that I upload. It would be cool to add a feature that I can mark the location (use the gps coordinates of the photo) of the plant that I found and uploaded so I can map all the plants on a map to view each location or if I want to find it again..Version: 3.0.5

A good app.A good app that works for me identifying plants over 90% of the time. I’ve found it invaluable both in the garden identifying plants and weeds that I wasn’t sure about. Also good when out and about, or if no signal taking photos to identify plants later.Version: 3.5.2

Amazingly accurate.Works with amazing accuracy, and works fast also. A very useful app..Version: 3.8.1

Best for Plant IdentificationUnless I don’t know where to look this app doesn’t offer care instructions but so far it’s extremely good at identifying plants - much, much better than the paid apps I’ve tried. It’s crowd-sources so I guess there’s a chance of something being misidentified but I’ve found it to be an extremely helpful app..Version: 3.16.2

PlantNetLoving this app !!!!.Version: 3.8.1

Remarkable appWe just moved to a new home and with it came all kinds of mature plants. With established landscaping created by someone else, it’s hard to tell what’s a weed and what’s a plant/flower. This stopped us from pulling so many things we thought might be weeds to give them a chance. Sure enough, they’d flower into exactly what this app indicated. 5 stars every day of the week!!!.Version: 3.6.2

Awesome compared to the others out thereJust as good as the better apps I've tried but no ads and no annoying reminders to upgrade. The other one I used for a while would ask you to upgrade all the time. As many as twice just in the process to identify one plant. This app is nearly identical in features. Very helpful in native woodland plant identification which I expected an app to have a harder time with..Version: 3.9.18

Perfect!Everything you could want in a free app. Rarely gets it wrong..Version: 3.16.1

PlantNetEvery spring I have to relearn species names and finding this app excellent for herbaceous, trees, grasses and ferns getting me to correct pages In floras to start. So far after only a few dozen the most probable match is usually correct. Where not it’s down to my photos, but excellent that can upload multiple images of leaf, flower, bark etc to refine the probabilities. Look forwards to version including lichen and fungii!.Version: 3.4.5

Best plant app out thereBest Plant-Identifier app on the app store, both paid and otherwise! Suggests multiple plant IDs instead of forcing an incorrect one, allows you to identify both the flowers of the plant and leaves- very thorough. It would be awesome if you guys expanded the app to allow people to comment on other people’s pictures, to help them identify their plants. And maybe allow for users to “album” plant pictures and create wish lists of sorts? Definitely has the potential to become *the* plant app. Incredible application. Surprisingly accurate as well..Version: 3.0.4

Fantastic app - only one thing missingAmazing app that is easy to use and very good at IDing plants. It’d be even better if you could follow the accounts of friends to see what plants they’re identifying and share your finds with them!.Version: 3.6.2

Excellent AppHelping me label herbs I have but forgot what they are. Now I feel safe eating them after identifying.Version: 3.6.2

Very educational and fun to use! This is great for a plant lover to use for practical reasons, or just for enjoyment. Sometimes you go to a nursery, and you see a plant you like, but there is no tab on the plant to identify it. Or you take a walk and see something that you would like to add to your garden. This app is very helpful, and identifying plants properly is the first step to being able to research and take care of them. One of my favorite apps!.Version: 3.0.5

Love this appBeen looking for hours to find the name of a plant. After giving up saw ad for plant apps, forgot to check apps. My hours of search was just a couple clicks away!.Version: 3.0.5

Good but not intuitive. The app works well so far and has given me accurate identifications. My only gripe is that it is not (to me) very intuitive and even after several uses I am still not using it quickly and easily..Version: 3.6.2

A pleasure to have and use.To have such a wealth of knowledge right at my fingertips and be able to contribute to the data base is a real privilege..Version: 3.8.1

Great app, just a few minor things I can’t doI have no problem adding plants, at which point the app will try and identify them. The part that I struggle with, is if you don’t confirm the response at that time, it seems to not offer the identification option later. If I could figure out how to get the identification tool back up again, that’d make this a 5* app..Version: 3.9.18

Best. Plant. App. Ever! It’s fantastic! Unlike others I’ve used in the past (and I’ve used 6 plant apps so far). This one does NOT have “pay to unlock features” and doesn’t demand for you to sign up. You can use old pictures of plants you’ve taken in the past or use your camera there and then. It has categories so if you’re interested in a particular flower you click flower icon if it leaves then click leaf icon. It helped me and a neighbour of mine when we were clearing the garden PlantNet app has an information centre to tell if it’s a weed or a plant. So we knew what plants to keep and what to get rid of no arguments. It also helped me when I went to plant nursery’s. In pots and small they can be misleading. Good thing about the app other people have posted pictures of the same plant but in their own yard so you can see what it going to be once planted. It had saved me few times from buying an invasive plant that I knew it would of grown out of I control once planted..Version: 3.2.6

FantasticHave downloaded other apps but this is by far the best.Version: 3.0.5

ImpressiveThis app far exceeds my expectations. It’s helped me to identify many plants, shrubs and trees in the garden of my new home. Highly recommended!.Version: 3.16.1

Love the way this helps me connect with natureI’m really enjoying using the app simply for wellbeing and potential foraging. Obviously one must take great care with the latter and never take an app as gospel. Special consideration must be taken because it seems that this is a large database of images potentially identified by non-experts like me and false identifications could be proliferated. For example I would never use this for identifying wild mushrooms for eating. Happy to be corrected if I’m wrong!.Version: 3.16.1

Thumbs up for PlantNetReally enjoying being able to identify plants in my garden or ones I admire when out and about. It’s good to see the variety of similar plants..Version: 3.9.18

Loving this App for all its information!Thank you for this App! I’ve always wanted to identify so many plants when I have traveled or been in nature. There are many local trees I didn’t know the name of and I can now take the time to identify them! I tried another App before using this one, and I am very pleased with how simple and easy it is to use this along with the extra knowledge I learn. Thank you for creating this splendid piece of information that’s easy to use! Angela in VA.Version: 3.14.5

Love the app BUT…For some reason the camera isn’t working. I’ve closed it out & I’ve power cycled my phone. I keep getting error message that an error occurred while loading flora. There’s an option to change flora but when you tap on it, nothing happens, all I can do is tap on back. PLEASE FIX!! My internet connection is strong so idk what else could be the problem. When app works, it’s great!!.Version: 3.10.6

First rate - at last!At long last an app that actually works with a high degree of accuracy. Tested by walking with 4 expert botanists who were all very impressed with the flexibility and speed of this app. Now everyone can have a good chance of not just identifying wildflowers but also to learn the key features and natural history of each species. Don’t go out without it! I don’t! 😀😀.Version: 3.7.4

Just what I neededWorked perfectly first time, to identify a fairly rare tree for our area, that self planted in our garden, had been trying to find what it was for a couple of days without success, this did it instantly! Great, very impressive. 👍.Version: 3.0.4

ÉvaluationJ’adore cette application. Toujours juste, souvent même sans beaucoup de précisions fournies. Rapide. Très très utile. Merci!.Version: 3.16.2

It’s a great app!I’m not usually one for apps but I thoroughly enjoy using PlantNet. It’s very helpful and provides a considerable shortcut in identifying plants. I’m an enthusiastic lifelong gardener and my love of gardening is enhanced by having this app at my fingertips. Hearty thanks to the folks at PlantNet..Version: 3.2.6

Saved my sanityI’ve been losing my mind trying to ID a mystery weed that popped up next to one of my balcony plants. Books & googling only got me to the subfamily level, and this app generated the correct suggestion within under a second. I freaking love you..Version: 3.16.1

Great appVery easy to use and informative. Not always great on eucalyptus but otherwise very reliable..Version: 3.9.18

Absolutely best appI don’t understand why people are complaining. There’s no ads, it has an awesome feed for your area, it gives you a percentage of accuracy and you can share with your community! Not only that it gives you links so you can research further. I was able to find so so many wild edibles on my property!! From walnut and mulberry trees, to lambs quarters and black raspberries and dames rocket and wild grapes!!! This is absolutely the best free app on the market!!!.Version: 3.16.1

Looks usefulInitial observations are that this App will be useful. Correctly identified an Australian rainforest native from single flower and a potentially invasive environmental weed from single pic of leaves w/ fruits. Seems to have problem with my location - thinks I’m in New Caledonia. At least that’s the nearest Flora Category offered. Perhaps it doesn’t yet have significant database of Australian native plant reports..Version: 3.14.3

Best Plant Identification AppI recently downloaded the PlantNet app and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed! As someone who's not very knowledgeable about plants, this app has been a game-changer for me. It's incredibly easy to use - all you have to do is take a picture of the plant, select the type of organ and the app does the rest. I love the fact that the app provides accurate results quickly, along with a variety of images. Overall, PlantNet is an exceptional app for identifying plants and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about the flora around them..Version: 3.14.5

Formidable!Excellente application! J’ai même pu identifier une plante à prenant une photo d’une photo ! Avec cette application, nous participons à fournir des données sur la biodiversité, et cela me réjouit. Merci!.Version: 3.0.2

Great app!Love this app! It’s easy to use, FREE and is terrific to identify those plants and flowers you just can’t think what they’re called..Version: 3.0.4

First use worked wellI am enthusiastic this app will continue to work well. Two plants we brought home from the store had identification included with the plant. After using this app we were able to validate the app was correctly identifying the flowing plant. Now we are going outside to identify some native plants in the Mt. Baker, Washington area. Review update pending results.Version: 3.9.18

So goodFree, accurate identification.Version: 3.16.2

Life changingThis app is so awesome! I used to have to take photos and then upload to google image search (a time consuming process) and now this FREE app does everything instantly! So happy to have discovered this app! Recommending to all my friends :).Version: 3.16.2

Great App just needs refinementThis app is great for identifying plants but I can’t always choose photos from my library..Version: 3.7.4

ThanksAt last an opportunity to thank everyone who took the time and made the effort to produce this wonderful means of finding the names of plants and sharing them with anyone who takes an interest. I am sure that the more people realise not just the beauty and detail of plants , but their essential role in keeping our planet’s ecosystem in balance and functional, the better off we will all be. Thanks again. JD.Version: 3.16.1

Appli PlantnetCette appli est vraiment super! Merci!.Version: 3.16.2

So helpful, love itUnlike most other apps like this in the app store, this is completely free. no in app purchases, not even any ads! i love how with non-native plants, if there is no native match, the search engine will suggest plants from other parts of the world, and that has really come in handy. it is also great in that with any picture, you can choose what part of the plant is in the picture/what you’d like to identify, and along with the closest match, it also gives other possibilities and relatives. great app, all i ask is that you don’t sell out and start making this cost money!.Version: 3.0.1

5 stars for accuracy and no issuesI have had no issues with PlantNet with ads, requests, privacy issues, etc. Several competing apps have crazy issues with ads everywhere including long, unskippable video ads. This PlantNet app has proven to be the most accurate app while also being the least annoying..Version: 3.9.18

Brilliant and freeLove that this app is free when others make you pay. Great for plant lovers.Version: 3.8.1

Plant identificationA very valuable app for the beginner horticulturalist.Version: 3.16.2

PlantNetPlantNet is a great app! I use it all the time. It’s really helped me to learn more plants. I like that you can use photos you’ve already taken so you can identify plants in your own time, away from the plant..Version: 3.6.2

Very useful and informativeThere are a few plants I’ve found while riding my horse in the wilderness that no other app was able to identify. PlantNet was able to ID them! I only wish there was a way to save the info I’ve found without having to look up the plant again. Maybe there is and I have not yet found it….Version: 3.9.18

ReviewEasy access to information, good size data base , maps are helpful too.Version: 3.3.27

Brilliant Plant identifierMy late wife was a keen gardener and I was her Plant hole digger- dig here, dig there I used to dig everywhere! Sadly when she passed away I was then charged with the upkeep of her lovely garden. The problem was as her digger I never really knew what type of plant I was planting!! Until I discovered this truly amazing app- What a truly amazing help! Hats off to you and my gratitude in being able to care for my late wife’s Legacy. Thank you, thank you again and again.Version: 3.9.18

IdentifyingFantastic app.Version: 3.8.1

Good appI use this app together with another app. This helps me narrow down or confirm this app’s identification. PlantNet seems to be right most of the time, which cannot be said for some other apps... I wish, however, that the app makers would amend a feature: under the information section that comes in the plant’s description, the “Uses” section would be more accurate and scientifically based. It is not valid to state that a plant is a “weed”, particularly if it is native to an area, possibly experiencing decline in numbers due to habitat destruction, and essential for ecosystem function. Even if a plant is successful and aggressive (sometimes obnoxiously so), it is not a weed if it is native..Version: 3.0.5

Very helpfulHelpful for identifying weeds growing in my new garden - soil brought several invasive species along with it!.Version: 3.0.2

Thistle BullApp very informative.Version: 3.0.5

Nice little app so farOnly been using it a few days and I’m impressed so far. It would be 5* but the one plant I need to identify it hasn’t yet! However, picture or real life photo it’s generally able to tell you what it is or suggest a possible. I think it is great potential and I’m happy to get to know it..Version: 3.9.18

RefreshingIt is awesome to find an app free (as of today) of marketing and other nuisances with monetizing modern practices that -most of is I suppose- I so personally dislike. OK, leaving that statement behind. This site (both in the app and the web) offers a no brainer method to learn about plants (in all their splendor here, there, and everywhere) and share your local biodiversity with others which -it is earlier for me to assure but I trust is the goal- as sharing their photos and expertise help me to become more comfortable with learning about my local plant biology. I also need to thank modern smart phone cameras for allowing a user friendly way into making the transition from picture to app fluent without much steps (obviously this is not a feature of the app but of the smart phone) between snapping the picture and uploading it to my account. Keep it commercial free..Version: 3.9.18

Best plant identifier app so farI’ve tried many apps to identify plants. So far this one takes first place. The interface is easy to use. What i love the most is that it gives you various suggestions with percentages of how likely it is to be said plant. It also shows you many pictures of the plant shared by the community so you can scroll and compare. I love this app. The only suggestion I can add is to allow us to create a group of the plants we own..Version: 3.5.2

Such a great resourceEasy to use, very reliable information.Version: 3.17.5

RecommendedGreat app !!!!! Free + works very well!.Version: 3.5.2

Great for Plant IDThe only reason I selected “4” for the rating is due to the fact that the payable app (not same maker) and app is almost $40 per year! It will tell you what you need to use or do to your plant to revive it! I so wish the free version on this maker would be able to achieve the same thing and still keep it free. That would be majorly awesome! But I do love the app it does identify plants and I’ve been missing with Bondi so it really helps. Thank you so much..Version: 3.16.2

AppMerci pour votre excellent site très pratique; continuez votre beau travail 👍..Version: 3.16.2

Very awesomFree and easy to use.Version: 3.0.5

Identified everything so farHave used other apps to identify flowers and weeds etc and have been poor, I was sceptical about this app which was recommended in a forum. So far it has identified everything g I throw at it and all within a few seconds. Brilliant app.Version: 3.0.5

Plant NetThis plant identifier application is a great scientific project internationally that contributes to science, agricultural pursuits, library services employment opportunities, as well as, supporting government departments internationally to control invasive or poisonous species that can be toxic to farm animals , citizens or pets. This global science project involves a depth of vision not readily transparent to the user. I am very impressed with your project. As well new medicinal medications or genetic plant engineering may flourish. Nice work!.Version: 3.16.1

Perfect for my flower garden!I’m have a large flower garden and random things pop up all the time! Partly due to my mother planting perennials she found on sale (for next year) or those things that reseeded from who knows where! This app is perfect! I can see what flowers bloom at a certain time of year, what things do great (and not so great) in my space. It does a great job of identifying what I have. This app is going to do my flower garden planning for me! 🌺🌼🌸🌻.Version: 3.6.2

Excellent! It does not force you to accept a poor ID. It allows you to choose from several options so you can match all features..Version: 3.0.1

PlantNetDuring covid-19 sheltering and shutdowns, my plant love has rekindled ever brighter on my neighborhood walks. Of all the 4 plant apps i downloaded to help me identify the abundance of flaura here, PlantNet is my #1 go to. It makes me happy and is extremely user friendly to navigate. So much so, i want to interview these awesome developers to learn from their mastery and see if maybe there is a way to work with them develop an ocean app that keeps percolating for me. It involved coral reef restoration - art, sci, tech, international community involvement. I'm not an avid app user, yet this app inspires and delivers. I am an artist working with ecology; so grateful for PlantNet. Thanks for creating this wonderful world of fun and discovery to keep me engaged with beautiful aliveness during the pandemic..Version: 3.0.5

Plant identification appI love this app, it helps me figure out what pops up in my Vege patch. Also good at fetes to know what you are buying!.Version: 3.11.2

Fast & AccurateThis app is an absolute ‘must’ for hobby gardeners. It has helped solve many a mystery and resolve several disputes! My love of gardening has been deepened along with my knowledge of how to grow and maintain a beautiful and healthy garden. I cannot recommend it highly enough. If you are attempting to plant anything, this app is essential. A huge ‘Thanks You’ to its developers AND its community contributors..Version: 3.0.4

The best plant identification app, bar noneRun by an educational foundation as a service to humankind, so no obnoxious ads or paywalls. Absolutely amazing, it’s gotten me addicted to identifying and learning about plants around me. Much love.Version: 3.6.2

Very impressedI have tried a couple plant identification apps, including free trials from expensive apps. I had been trying to identify small plants from the sprinkling of wild flower seeds I had tossed last year. Most came back unknown from other apps, but this one identified very obscure plants. I am really impressed. I also love that it gives a percentage of what it might be and allows you to confirm if you know what it is. I will be enjoying this app for a long time!.Version: 3.16.2

Really useful appI’m enjoying this app. It doesn’t always find a certain match but very often appears to be correct and has greatly helped my identification. I have used it successfully for both garden and wild flowers..Version: 3.0.5

Great AppThis app has been exactly what I need. My only quibble is that when I try to sign up, the button to “sign up” is covered by the keyboard that pops up to fill in your name, email, etc. and there’s no option for making the keyboard go away. I’m a bit frustrated that I can’t sign up and contribute - what am I doing wrong?.Version: 3.6.2

FutureReliable now and getting better quickly. Flexible, friendly and collegiate. Much more accurate than the "paid” app i use as alternative. Plantsnap.Version: 3.14.5

So helpful for plant ID!I think this app is wonderful! It takes a picture and immediately gets the identification, complete with scientific classification. Use this app almost daily to see exactly what this beautiful nature is named and have been learning so much! I use it both outside and inside on my houseplants! And I feel it gets better and better as I’ve used it!.Version: 3.0.1

Easy to useI love this app. It’s so easy to use and generally very accurate.Version: 3.16.2

Il borradoAwesome app.Version: 3.2.6

The Most AccurateI’ve used this Aop for 18 months now. I have used 3 or 4 others, but this seems the most accurate one and it’s quick..Version: 3.14.5

ThiFast, accurate and user friendly.Version: 3.8.1

Good appIt’s not accurate every time and maybe my photo isn’t perfect every time.Version: 3.9.18

Très précisRésultat rapide.Version: 3.16.1

Awesome AppI’m a total novice so I can’t follow all the Family/ Genus stuff. It’s over my head. But the app lends itself to basic use too by listing the common names. My favorite part though is when you search a plant, the options offer pics of the flower, leaves, bark, etc.. There’s even a Wikipedia tab so you can read about the plant which can help in identification. Because it’s user driven, there’s good and bad. The good: TONS of submitted photos. The bad: Not all the submitted pics will be of the advertised plant (just means someone made a poor identification and “contributed” it to the database). This can fool you into thinking it’s something it’s not. It’s also up to the user network to “validate” everyone’s observations. Sadly there’s no flora-genius overseeing the thousands of contributions to determine the accuracy. That’s just wishful thinking. You’re relying on someone plant-savvy to stumble across your contribution and choose to validate you. Overall a kickass app. And it’s free! I’m learning slowly, but learning a lot..Version: 3.0.5

Great app!Seems to work very well..Version: 3.16.2

App is very goodNon of the other apps that I was looking at were free we tried one and it was inaccurate, and totally different than the pictures now I now know that I have artichokes in my garden plus I can see what other people have. It’s like a plant Facebook; and I can see plants that grow on different country’s/states around the world. Love this app, it’s especially good for new gardeners! And plant lovers that’s why I gave it a 5/5 review.Version: 3.4.5

Great SiteI can always find the plant I’m looking for….Version: 3.17.5

Best plant identifier appI am so happy I found this app because I have used many other plant identification apps and each one always has in-app purchases to allow the app to full effect… this app has it all and it’s free. There is sooo much information, you can take pictures from camera and import them from your photo album to identify thousands of plants and also contribute by adding your knowledge as-well :) thanks for making this !.Version: 3.8.1

Great app!!I love this app so much. My husband and I were always wondering what the different plants were that we saw on our walks. This app is the answer!.Version: 3.14.5

Instant, reliable and informative results for free! This is the only free plant identifying app that worked and in one day I’ve gone from not knowing what anything is in my new garden to having a decent idea of what most of it is and that’s in April before lots of it has even bloomed. I’m completely addicted!.Version: 3.4.5

Easy and quite accurateI find this app does a good job of identifying plants and is enjoyable to use..Version: 3.9.18

Great Potential, needs polishingI have been looking for a free plant identification repository and found PlantNet. So far, I find that it works but with the absence of a live help system, makes it difficult to work out how to use it. The lack of orientation change to match a screen is really annoying. I means that for instance using it on an iPad in landscape mode is impossible and one simply gives up. I’m sure with a bit of effort this could be easily fixed. Thanks for putting up Australian and New Zealand collections. You do listen {but not to everything.} I now give you a 4/5 rating. Just one thing to fix and you will deserve 5/5..Version: 3.16.2

Great tool for plant identificationHas been more accurate than other plant identification apps I have used. It would benefit from more Australian native plants..Version: 3.7.4

PlantNetThe app is excellent!!.Version: 3.15.13

Seems to fail on iPad ProKeeps reporting “An internal error occured”. Works well on iphone though. Just realised its because my iPad does not have an internet connection built-in, only wifi. My apologies and uprate to five stars..Version: 3.0.1

Very accurateThis app is very accurate at identifying plants. The ability to add multiple photos of a plant increase it’s accuracy, and having no ads is great 👍🏻.Version: 3.9.18

CategoriesWhile I understand categorising by the plants origin, often this is unknown and difficult to guess. I suggest an alternative where is it categorised by broad socially recognisable groups e.g. cacti, conifers, vegetables, fruit etc. this would be much more useful for the everyday user, just trying to identify his cactus... Further, instead of categorising prior to the images, use the recognition software to find all possible results, then using a 21 questions style algorithm (with a don’t know option for those without green fingers) to narrow down the results. Amazing idea, just needs increased usability..Version: 1.0.8

So easy to identify compared to google :O)I used to spend hours searching for “small white wild flower uk” etc - this app narrows it down to a couple of minutes. I LOVE it. So far it’s been very accurate too. Amazing find. Keep up the good work guys and thanks for making life sooo much easier..Version: 3.5.2

One of the best AppsPl@ntnet is a well run site. The team behind the mobile App are particularly helpful and responsive. There appears to be a considerable cohort of botanists, academics, horticulturists and enthusiasts who provide feedback to those who post. It is as far as I can tell unusual in that the app. can aggregate up to four observations to enable it to suggest an ID. The ‘Groups’ are a very useful feature in providing feedback to areas of interest of members. There are some perverse incentives for plants to be identified to species level when the images don’t show all the features that might be required and this may explain why some of the ‘library’ of images contains plants that don’t always appear to belong. The access to the image library is however invaluable. The easy links to Wikipedia and other resources is convenient..Version: 3.15.11

Free (so far) & EfficientHave tried a few of these plant identification apps over the past 6 or so years. Honestly I feel like they all use very similar photo recognition software, if not the exact same. So they all do a pretty swell job (including this app) at locating the correct plant species via a user uploaded photo. However, this app is free and takes donations to stay afloat, rather than subscriptions. This fact alone causes me to like this app way more than the rest. I like being given the option to support this app, when it is financially feasible for me and my budget. I think this method will bring grow the community within the app, and strengthen the membership as a whole. The one suggestion I have is to maybe clean up the interface. It’s a little clunky, and awkward. Not too user friendly in all aspects, although it is in a few. In some areas there are more options to choose from where there needs to be less, and in other areas there are less options to choose from where there needs to be more. There should be more regions to choose from when saving your identified plant photo & information. Otherwise it’s a solid app, and I am happy with my download... thank you! Cheers!.Version: 3.6.2

The best friend in my pocketI have had this app for nearly a year now, as I had been getting more interested in flowers anyway as a big birdwatcher, butterfly enthusiast and interested in photography and other areas of nature such as dragon and damselflies before but on my exercise walks whilst working from home due to the pandemic and through lockdowns I became a lot more interested in flowers and took many more pictures of them. But I only knew a few famous or obvious species and ones I’d picked up from word of mouth or noticing on social media etc. So a social media associate suggested I download this app and it was one of the best things I did as it’s boosted my flower knowledge immensely to not just recognise certain species but start to build associations and know what sorts of families flowers will be. The app is efficient, quick and easy to upload photos and bring up ideas of the species of or the family the flower is in. The percentage gage gives you a good guide as to how likely which helps you assess whether you can have this down to species level or if it’s one to have down to family level. The alternate names feature which came this year is also so useful as I so often see other common names for what I’ve put in and have heard of them so it’s a good way to gauge what the flower may be known as in your community. I look forward to enjoying this app much more in future and am forever thankful for the knowledge it’s given me so far..Version: 3.6.2

Awesome, got my plant right immediately!I am hoping this we’ll become very handy in identifying the many plants that grow around my new home. One question- it says you can edit your location, but I cannot how to figure out how to do that, the current location for my picture I took shows where I live, and I do not feel comfortable with that. If I write my general area instead, will that new information remove the GPS location that shows automatically, or is there another step I have to do? Thanks for the great app!.Version: 3.17.5

The AI is great, other details...It’s amazing to watch the ID happen moments after uploading one pic. Other details of the app are not great. I kept trying to add a pic from my camera roll and then supplement w a newly taken photo of the same specimen. Not possible, plus renders the first set of pics unsubmittable. Also adding pics from camera roll causes them to be duplicated in the roll. Annoying. Barebones explanations generally. Not at all clear what the stars mean..Version: 3.0.5

ExcellentI really enjoy using this app because it’s help me learn about so much about the flowers and plants in my local area that I had not necessarily noticed before.I highly recommend it for any plant enthusiast or botanist..Version: 3.4.5

Love this!Best plant identifier app I have used and I have tried them all! I only wish there was a section for fungi/mushrooms but I realize those are kind of tricky. This app has been so amazingly useful for our garden (yes we have made a garden in central Arizona, small and took two years to sort of figure it out lol) and yard and desert flora and Fauna..Version: 3.12.0

A whole new world.Brilliant ! Lockdown has turned me into A ‘gardener’. I’m really enjoying it and this app shows me what I have and how to research due care. Nearly threw out 4 pots as the early leaves made me WRONGLY think it was just weeds. They are not. Excellent app.Version: 3.9.18

It’s not perfect but it’s the best!I think the community needs to contribute more so it gets better but this is definitely an unique app about plants that can be amazingly accurate and you can also contribute.Version: 3.0.1

Awesome appPhotos and information are on point, app works so well and fast .. Definitely learning a lot in such a small space of time instead of trying to guess any species or mistaking them for another that’s similar. 100% recommended! It’s free👌🏽.Version: 3.4.5

AppWould be more interesting if members could message each other to confirm information or put in comments..Version: 3.0.5

Easy to useI’ve downloaded several identification apps, but for me this is the most user friendly. I can now check on the woodland flowers and plants very easily and record their names in my photos info. It seems quite accurate and rates % accuracy. It only takes a few seconds..Version: 3.9.18

Very Useful. Terrific !Simple and Easy to use. Seems very accurate from my experience. Very useful..Version: 3.9.18

Accurate plant identificationLove this app! Has yet to fail in identifying any plant. Very easy to use. I recommend it to all my friends and they too are amazed by it..Version: 3.2.6

High RegardsI was looking for a truly free app. I installed several, but they all wanted my credit card for their “free” trial. PlantNet is truly free. Thank you. However, PlantNet offers several really attractive options to me, the % rankings and the ability to confirm others’ submissions in particular, hence training the machine learning. But beyond what I personally like, it’s convenient, intuitive, and good for identifying plants- which is why I got it in the first place. No problems with stability, even though I’m running on an older operating system..Version: 3.9.18

Needs a re-review facility!Used the App now for a week or so, and, on the whole, it has worked well. A few misses, but most things I’ve pointed it at have been found… However, it has one flaw in my opinion… If you navigate away from the identification page without saving there does not appear to be a way of navigating back! So you need to take a new photo to start the ball rolling again! That’s OK if you haven’t moved away - but if you have, your stuffed! It would be really handy to be able to re-select a shot already taken to get back to the ID pages! Apart from that; it’s not bad!.Version: 3.6.2

Looks very good with a lot of choiceVery good a Seems very good with the identification from a picture our daughter had taken asked us about. Easy to use and large range of pictures to compare.Version: 3.0.5

Best gardening tool ever! What I love about this app is - that it is Free. But because of this - you get more user interaction. This very accurate app lets you upload image and choose how to identify - whether from flower or leaf and more. It the shows a list of possibilities with other user submitted images to compare. Users and yourself verify images. I’m quite the gardener myself - but not always up on all the names. This is a great tool to add to any gardeners toolbox.Version: 3.0.5

AmazingSo fun for me and my kids. We wander around trails and try to discover the plantlife around us..Version: 3.0.2

MerveilleuxC’est un app fantastique pour reconnaître les plantes et arbres qui nous entourent.Version: 3.16.1

PlantNetVery very useful app. We often see plants that we don’t recognise when out walking and it’s really nice to be able to put a name to them by just taking a photo. Highly recommend this app..Version: 3.3.25

So useful and very user friendlyLove everything about this app, whenever I see a beautiful plant on my path I can look up what it is to plan for my future garden..Version: 3.9.18

ExcellentJ’aime beaucoup, très pratique.Version: 3.16.1

Such a great app!I use it all the time to identify trees, leaves and flowers and it always identifies correctly. A wonderful free database to access and contribute too :) Easy to use as well!.Version: 3.9.18

Useful and easy to use! This app really helps figure out what’s actually growing in my natural garden. It’s fun and super easy to use. Would recommend!.Version: 3.0.1

Great app for recognition of plantsThe app works quickly- loading the photo from my own library- provides the most likely plant- with names and further photos to confirm identification.Version: 3.3.27

Plants 🌱Great app 👍.Version: 3.0.4

Great app and it’s free!My new garden is huge and after looking through books and asking friends this app has been the fastest, most efficient way to find out what plants I have..Version: 3.9.18

This App has never let me down.I’ve had six or eight plant ID apps and this is still my favourite. It has never let me down whether it’s something that the wind or birds have dropped into my garden, or the flowers in a lovingly created bouquet for my darling. What might have ended up discarded as a weed has found its place in a salad or stir fry. What some might have eaten has been confirmed as a poisonous plant somewhat similar to an edible. Knowing the scientific and common names of particular flowers has allowed me to attach social meaning to a gift of love. It’s a pleasure to be able to share information from, and with, so many others around the world too..Version: 3.12.0

My Fav App, ButThis is really the only app I use for Plant ID. I like the community effort that goes into the data, especially different photo inputs from people because it helps me compare and see slight differences for comparison. It’s the app I recommend to other plant enthusiasts. I prefer it because I like the layout, it’s usability, and it’s accessibility. Other apps are behind a paywall or require sign up with personal information; I never get far enough to use them - I delete those almost as soon as they are installed. One thing I dislike about this app is that while more information for the plants are available by clicking on the plant name after you ID your photo(s) is that there is no way to highlight the text to copy/paste OR share the findings with another. I have to manually look up the plant again in a search engine using the common name and then find the Wiki article again. I can’t memorize the scientific names, or type them all out when sharing on the go in a busy day..Version: 3.3.25

Love the appIt has been very useful in our garden because the previous owner planted a lot of non-Europe plants & and it’s been so useful in identifying them I’ve also shared it amongst all my friends and family I definitely recommend it.Version: 3.6.2

Rob DelaceyThank you very helpful app..Version: 3.9.18

AccurateReally useful app that doesn’t spam you with unwanted content and reliably gives good quality information.Version: 3.10.6

Natures yellowpagesFantastic app gives wiki link only thing a lot of plants have herbal medicinal value would be ideal if it linked to that too but still take a pic and it finds it for you .. also would be good if it stated if it was poisonous or not being a green tea maker and drinker all in all it’s ideal for beginners and don’t learn the Latin names unless your going to become a salesman learn local names people know it by .. most of all give it to the kids on a walk let them explore and learn how nature works better than stuck in school all day.Version: 3.5.2

BrilliantSimple to use. Gives a few different options to compare your photos to. Definitely recommend..Version: 3.6.2

Love itThis app is just wonderful Walking around and spotting plants that I have never seen before has allowed me to instantly find out what they are…. Superb thank you.Version: 3.16.1

Great, accessible appReally handy to have. I pretty much tell everyone about it..Version: 3.6.2

Works very wellCertainally deserves a donation.Version: 3.16.2

WowI love this app.Version: 3.16.1

Shocked by how well it workedI went into this app skeptical and I was completely shocked to find the first picture I uploaded showed me exactly what it was. This app is a perfect 5/5 for me, bravo to the developers. I hope it stays free and they can make money with ads or something *update* - just adding a quick update to my review because I’ve used it a few more times and I wish I could give this app more than five stars, it is absolutely amazing. It has worked for me 100% of the time, and is an invaluable tool..Version: 3.16.2

What the www is all aboutIncredible tool for plant ID. Not only does it tell you what the plant is, but allows you to drill down to learn detail. Once identified there is a row of icons that allow you to hyperlink into say the Wikipedia entry for it. Even better, the icon immediately to the left of the Wiki link is an ‘I’ link which allows deeper ‘drilling’ to include .edu articles on the species and thus articles on medicinal uses; herbal remedies; poison warnings; even recipes. This is what the web is really for y’all!.Version: 3.9.18

Amazing AppI use this a lot around the yard. Top notch identifier..Version: 3.16.1

Super accurateI’ve tried a few plant ID apps before, and they were all so bad that i assumed the technology just wasn’t there yet. Today I was taking a walk at a marsh, and I ran into another aspiring botanist/birder, and after half an hour of conversation she recommended this app to me. I’ve identified 3 plants so far, it works incredibly well, and the interface is so nice. thank you marsh lady!!.Version: 3.5.2

Amazing! Its great for identifying plants, although i do have one suggestion. Can it actually tell us something about the plant? Because now it just tells us what the plant is. I dont know if these berries are poisonous! Please have like a little bio of a plant, like you did with the name you could make it a vote?.Version: 3.16.1

WoWTrès utile pour en savoir + sur la nature qui nous entoure, où que vous soyez. J’adore.Version: 3.16.2

Professional use as a Horticulture SupplierThis app is the only one I used when I was working in a commercial greenhouse. I’d have customers bring up plants to purchase and want to know their names. I have pretty extensive knowledge but there would always be a plant that I couldn’t remember or something new that I couldn’t identify. This app has given me correct answers when most others wouldn’t. The option to select what part of the plant the image is from is awesome for nature hikes as well. In early spring there aren’t always leaves on some trees in my area but it would narrow down the options. Thanks to the app developers for creating something so useful and intuitive..Version: 3.14.5

Works brilliantly! In Australia and it has found every plant I put in.I’ve only just started using the app and it has so far been 100% correct with every plant I have put in. Wow!! I can’t seem to set my home location as Canberra and it keeps defaulting to New Caledonia - whole i wished I lived there I don’t - is it possible to set a home location like Australia? If so that would be awesome. Totally recommend PlantNet - it’s amazing!.Version: 3.0.4

PlantNetI love this app. As a keen gardener I often wonder what unfamiliar plants are and delight in being able to take a photo, wherever I am, and have the plant identified . Sometimes there are things in my own garden which have lost their labels and I can still learn what they are!.Version: 3.2.6

Helps put a lot with identificationGreat and easy to use!.Version: 3.8.1

Very accurateThis app has been so helpful when out and about and I see a plant I like but don’t know for sure what it is. Have recommended to so many friends..Version: 3.9.18

Cool and useful!It works..Version: 3.16.2

Great App for IdentificationThis is a wonderful app for all types of flowers and foliage both for wildflowers and flowerbeds. For walking in the woods or just around the neighborhood, this is easy to use and filled with the information you’re looking for. Two years later I’m still very happy using this app for identifying plants, I’ve tried a few other apps and was absolutely amazed at how unsure and inaccurate they were at identifying the simplest of plants. There were also no other pictures from others to compare to or even anything other than one choice of what they thought it might be. Example: I took a picture of my 50+ yo variegated snake plant and got this with no picture. “Unsure 6% odds it may be a cactus.” No thanks , I’ll stick with what works, this app is GREAT!.Version: 3.13.2

Easy & accurateAll you do is take a photo or use one you have and then you will be sent photos to match it. I tried it with a few plants which I knew to test it and the results were accurate so I have confidence with it..Version: 3.6.2

HandyJust getting used to the app but it is pretty good indeed. It can get you in the ballpark pretty quickly so you can do more research to make sure the plant is what the app states it is. It will work well with my herb books..Version: 3.6.2

Like better for two reasonsI like this plant id app better so far than any other because it’s two fo two on plant id that I tried so far and it’s also the only one that doesn’t FORCE me to sign into their deal before trying it. I very much appreciate that. For these two reasons I’ll upgrade. 👍.Version: 3.7.4

Best App Ever!!!Highly accurate information and interactive as well. Positively identified plant life can be submitted to help others identify as well- to a degree anyway. This is the only app I went out of the way to see if there was a premium for, not because the app is bad but contrary, I wanted to see if it had even COOLER functions. I don’t think there is a premium. Which means all this is free and accessible for all. (As far as I can tell) So before you mistake an edible herb for a poisonous ☠️ herb, check this out..Version: 3.9.18

Possibly one of the best apps for the budding gardener or botanistReally love this app, the fact that it is pretty accurate with the results, it’s easy to use and free. So can’t complain here..Version: 3.13.2

Best Plant Identifier I have usedAwesome app. I was referred to this app by a friend and I love it. I have now got several of my friends and acquaintances to download this app and they are astonished on how accurate it is..Version: 3.8.1

Solid appI’ve always been in love with the natural world and this app has opened a whole new door to it for me. It’s only the 2nd app like this I’ve tried but Plantnet has exceeded my expectations. Only a couple small deviations I’ve found so far that if worked out could help take away one of the ?’s when trying to identify a plant and improve the over all quality When I search a identical picture of a plant from my LG phone and IPad I get two different results. For example, I had 5 results on the LG and 11 on the iPad. I believe the lesser number of results is always the same to the larger but why two different results? Also little more detail about the environment where they originated, uses, lifespan, are they threatened or endangered and a short summary how to care for would be amazing! It’s a great app though. Well done Plantnet! Can’t wait to continue growing my collection and discovering more of this near secret world of botany around us all..Version: 3.0.5

Extremely helpfulThis App is so easy to use and very helpful in identifying plants - ecxellent!.Version: 3.16.2

Fantastic with a grain of saltThe app is really a wonderful resource and is fairly accurate. The problem is the human error factor. It compiles positive identifications that people upload-but people sometimes don't look close enough and log a false positive- so a bunch of photos are associated with an Inaccurate id in perpetuity. Generally the app has the correct ID within its top five, and perhaps a double check online by users would make it perfectly accurate.... I do not hold my breath. The simple fact that it is free, gives it a pass, and with a little bit of diligence on our parts, it could be the greatest resource out there. Overall 5 stars, with a grain of salt as the idiom goes-lol..Version: 3.6.2

BrilliantJust downloaded this app and find that it is so easy to use and amazingly accurate and it is free. A big thank you to the developers for sharing this..Version: 3.8.1

Swift field recognitionSuper fast way to identify plants in the field. It is worth taking the time to read the descriptions though in case it needs fine tuning and occasionally the user-uploaded photos don’t appear to match the id so watch out for that. Otherwise, great!.Version: 3.16.1

Excellent for plant I.D.sVery useful both for garden & hiking!.Version: 3.16.2

Really well made appIt seems plant identification apps are a growing trend and so is the average $30 a year subscription fees that are cropping up. This app however is a free and extremely helpful database of plants full of information, and links to resources. Ten times more informational than other apps while functioning just as well. If you want to learn about the plants you’re identifying this is the perfect app..Version: 3.0.5

Incredibly Significant!👍🤩🤯😱This is one of the most accurate apps I have ever had in my life! I’ve been discovering what the weird wildflowers in my yard were and it’s all thanks to this app. Now, I know so much about flowers and plants and what they are! I love gardening and flowers so this app is majorly helping me. If anyone is an outdoor guy like me, this is THE APP!!! The best part is is that it’s FREE!!!!!!!!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩 Thank you for inventing such a nice app that’s helpful! I’m showing this to my family so they can experience the greatness of this app!.Version: 3.0.5

App works great, how can I get the rainbow icon?I downloaded this app because the most recent reviews stated the camera icon is a rainbow color. How do I unlock the rainbow camera?? Mine is only green, I was so excited for the rainbow one!!! In all seriousness, this app has been great! It has correctly identified all of the many plants I have in my garden (which I started off with, to test the app) as well as the unknown plants I have surrounding my yard. I also loves that it tells you if a plant is poisonous or not- super helpful for us with animals that’ll eat anything!.Version: 3.14.5

Best plant ID toolI use this so regularly. I have my phone with me all the time. I assist neighbour’s frequently. I am a botanical artist so it is important that I identify plants I am painting 😊 thank you 🙏.Version: 3.8.1

Melbones1Great identification app.Version: 3.8.1

PlantNet appI’ve tried several plant matching apps — PlantNet is far an above the most accurate. Matching by flower is pretty easy, and PlantNet gets an A+. But it is terrific at leaves also! It is super easy to use, and the Confirm process is great — you really see clearly the plant you are trying to match against the PlantNet suggestion — so your own eyes can confirm a match. I love it!.Version: 3.8.1

This rulesThis app is so good n fun, wholesome and educational!! It’s well laid out and has great linking assess to other sources etc.Version: 3.8.1

IntéressantC’est bien mais parfois les résultats sont douteux. Pas convaincu que toutes les photos associées à la plante ont été identifiées correctement..Version: 3.16.1

So great in Canada!Works every time! I take a picture of the flower and then confirm by a picture of the leafs. I’m in Canada and I can say it works very well here..Version: 3.0.2

Great appVery useful Amazing App! - thanks to so many great users contributing information.Version: 3.16.2

Flower IDEasy to use, contributes to scientific knowledge of range. Excellent app.Version: 3.16.1

So usefulI love how easy this app is to use. It’s very helpful and I use it often in my garden. Right now I’m about to find out what a particular plant is so I can determine if it is toxic to cats. My kitten was chewing on it...Version: 3.3.25

Plant recognitionI downloaded this app earlier this year and have found it useful both in the countryside and in a garden setting in parks and formal gardens. I would highly recommend it..Version: 3.8.1

I love this app.This app is simply wonderful!.Version: 3.16.2

PlantNetExcellent. Gives species without getting into varieties and trade names.Version: 3.16.1

Great plant appThis app is great. I have a very good knowledge of plants but like everyone sometimes I come across a plant I am unsure of. This app has not got the identification wrong at all. Great app for experienced people to jog your memory or if your just starting out a great app to learn your plants. 👍.Version: 3.0.5

Best Plant Identifier with no adsHow refreshing is this app that does an amazing job of identifying plants without annoying ads popping up. The plant database is very extensive and much easier to find information about plant species than the RHS website. Well done developers of PlantNet 5 Stars..Version: 3.9.18

Very good for common trees, particularly European.Very good and quick on common trees but quite poor for Australian natives, especially rarer species. A quick check for whether a leaf is edible for my goats in a semi suburban West Australian setting. As such very useful..Version: 3.13.2

Amazingly accurate!Am thoroughly enjoying learning about all my varied plants. What a clever accurate website!.Version: 3.3.27

PlantNetReally useful app. Seems to correctly identify the plant more often than not..Version: 3.9.18

Crashing fixedThis was a good app. It now crashes on opening following the recent update. Updated a second time to deal with the crashing issues.Version: 3.15.13

Accuracy in identifying a plantThis Ap had been more accurate than others I have used.Version: 3.8.1

Awesome 👍I love this app. It is a great app! I highly recommend this app for plant identification. But there are a few cons... I don’t love how you are not allowed to say you don’t know what category it is in. When the option is there?! But it is a great app. I also don’t like that even if you get a clear picture it says unidentifiable. I get you can get everything but say sorry the app does not know. If I could I would give this a 4 and a half. Overall great app.Version: 3.2.6

Very Handy AppIt’s accurate as I did every time Quite handy , I would recon it !.Version: 3.9.18

Plant net app reviewPretty good , am finding it quite useful at identifying garden plants whose name I had forgotten! Just discovered some plants I never knew names of before so impressed already and only been using it for a few minutes!.Version: 3.5.2

Plant netI love this app. I know nothing about plants and often wonder what they are called and this makes it really easy. It’s nice to be able to use it out and about on a walk, and then pretend that you have amazing botanical knowledge🤣.Version: 3.6.2

Plant netI find this app excellent for plant identification. It is a gem! I would reccomend it to any one interested in bat any ..Version: 3.2.6

WillIncredible app, no in app purchases, all in the name of ecological science! Really makes you aware of the incredible bio diversity that surrounds you and makes up our country side and often completely overlooked! Gave me the confidence to go foraging which I’ve always dreamt of doing safely!.Version: 3.14.5

Great appThe identifying function is great, it would be good if there was a feature where you could see a map and all the identified plants are on it, so you can go and visit particular plants when your walking..Version: 3.6.2
