She loves trying to write her name and hearing it. My son has dyslexia...I have been searching for something like this that can be personalized to help him. Can't wait to use it in my classroom too! ✓ Great improvements!I truly loved this app before and now with the updated version allowing for further customizing with letters, words and numbers it really is a valuable learning tool. It's helps children trace their letters , shapes and numbers, but it also lets them hear it as well. ✓ Love it!We have children with special needs and we love this app. One of my kids has trouble with his preschool homework- tracing letters, numbers and shapes. He has occupational therapy issues and a short attention span. However since he has used this app it's holding his attention and he's able to do it! ✓ Teacher/MomThe one thing that would make this app even better is for it to be required by the player to rewrite the item (letter/number/etc) a second time on the same page, correctly by self without the directional help and having to get it correct before being able to go on. Otherwise, this is one of the most thorough "learning to write" apps I've seen. I've been looking for an app that will help my older students learn to make their letters and numbers correctly and this is the perfect choice. I also like that I can customize the learning so much..Version: 2.1

✓ Can't get through the parental gate!This is fundamentally a great app that allows for lots of customization. Unfortunately, the parental gate doesn't work for me and tech support has not been helpful at all. I'm stuck unable to customize it for individual students, which reduces its usefulness. ✓ LoveI love this app! I am a Kindergarten teacher and use it daily in my classroom. I love being able to add in your own words and also the student names. I had a little girl who was still struggling with her name this far into the year so I decided to give this a try. After one day, and I'm not kidding, she was able to not only spell but she was able to write her name as well! Can't say enough good things!!!.Version: 1.0
✓ Excellent app to learn the alphabetI use this app with my middle school students who are learning English as a Second Language. So the English alphabet is new for them. This app allows them to practice the alphabet and see and hear words that begin with each letter. I am concerned that the Phonics section misrepresents some of the letter sounds. For example, the sound for the letter "O" sounds more like one of the sounds that the letter "A" makes. I was hoping the Phonics section would better represent the letters that have 2 different sounds, but maybe with an update. Overall, a great app to own..Version: 2.0

✓ Good for learning to write letters and numbersNice app. I got this for my 2.5 yr old and she likes it. She can recognize all the letters and numbers be coz of another game we got her. But she is learning to write them with this app. It does not have any bugs I that I have encountered. Would be more attractive if there were some animations. Also, in the section where they show what a letter stands for (e.g. J for jaguar), tracing should show mini versions of the symbol. It is confusing when they are tracing random apples and pineapples and hay stacks, but the letter stands for something totally different (e.g. J for jaguar)..Version: 2.1
✓ Great writing app!My boys love the tracing icons. My first grader hates writing. I programmed his spelling words in last week and using a stylus he went through them in record time. It makes writing fun. I also appreciate that you can change the writing paths. It took a couple minutes to figure out, but was worth the effort on a couple letters..Version: 1.0
✓ Great for many agesThe original APP is good, this one is even better. Numbers through 99, letter sound in addition to letter name, customizable lists - I see name writing in our future! My students are going to love recording their voices to go along with their names. The tracing lines can even be customized in settings. My one concern is the reinforcement picture that pops up with the lower case phonics is an upper case letter - maybe those pics could be changed out to reinforce the lower case? It uses these numbers: 1, 4, and 9. I feel like it one should be the straight line, it should be the open four, and the nine's line shouldn't curve. ✓ Great appI really enjoy all of the alligator apps. This is a great app, although, at times the grammar is wrong in the sentences they say after you trace the letter. For example: when you correctly trace an A it says ' yes you are correct you wrote a A' . As we all know it should be " you wrote AN a" this happens throughout the whole app. It is great if your child does not echo a lot. If they do, this might cause a problem. ✓ Great app- works well for students with autism!Little Writer PRO is an en excellent pre-handwriting tool. This app teaches proper formation techniques for upper and lower case letters and numbers and shapes. It also provides exercises for users to trace individual letters to create simple words and offers corresponding sounds with the letters. Little Writer provides a starting point in the form of a picture and prompts the user to trace the letter, number, etc. following a pattern of other pictures. If the formation is incorrect or does not stay within guidelines, it will prompt the user to start over. When tracing is completed correctly, the app will provide positive verbal reinforcement. Little Writer is completely customizable and allows the user to select the order (random or sequential) or change the formation pattern of letters and numbers, and choose the difficulty level. This app serves as a great tool for motivation and keeps students engaged with its fun pictures and backgrounds. The music and sounds alone are a lot of fun!.Version: 1.0
✓ Helping 3 Year with Alphabet and Early Writing SkillsOverall, this app seems to be helping 3yo learn her ABC’s and seems to promote early writing skills as she learns the shapes of the letters. We’re just doing the alphabet right now, but I’ve looked at the app’s other features (numbers, phonics sounds, and more) and I think she’ll benefit from those too once we get there. The app keeps her preoccupied whenever I have to make her lunch, go to the bathroom, etc. I love that the app lets you make custom recordings to replace the default ones. She gets so excited when she hears her own voice telling her the names of letters or my voice saying “GREAT JOB!!” whenever she finishes lol. My only slight frustrations are that it’s not always user friendly. Specifically, I wish there was a “skip” button that could be pressed instead of swiping to skip to a new letter. Sometimes when 3yo is trying to drag her finger to trace, the app interprets it as a swiping motion and switches to a new letter. When that happens, her progress on the previous letter is lost so she has to start over to finish or just move on without getting the satisfaction of completion. It’s possible to toggle swiping off in the settings, but if swiping is disabled there is (so far as I can tell) no way to skip to a new letter. That’s frustrating because sometimes she gets stuck on a tricky letter and will then just give up since there’s no way to continue without finishing the letter..Version: 3.0

It's a little tough for my younger one though cuz she has to start over if she picks her finger up. ✓ Great app but could use some adjustmentsI downloaded the pro version which I like, but I wish it would come with a standard font manuscript that is used in schools. As a teacher I have found it useful to be able to use this in centers and have each student have their own name to practice writing using correct letter formation. I also like the other customization features like selecting the dot order for specific letters and numbers. I had to change some of the stroke orders to accommodate what is being taught in class, but the "letter shadow" doesn't quite match. Overall it is a great app, just wished it had the Manuscript font..Version: 2.1
