✓ Controls ruin this gameI was looking forward to this one for ages. Pre-ordered the game and downloaded it as soon as it was available. The game itself looks great but I really can’t attest to the gameplay because I simply can’t get past the touch controls. This has to be the most unpleasant driving experience I have ever had in a mobile driving game. Please allow for a variety of steering input styles and not just touch buttons for right and left. ✓ Such a bad game for a newbieThis is a terrible game for me. The cars are so hard to control. If you play with a controller it doesn’t care how hard or soft you push the trigger it just go all the way and the cars are so drifty. That’s why I say so hard to control. ✓ How is this 7 bucksFor the 6 or 7 bucks this cost me, I was expecting a lot more then this. Maybe the campaign is great, but the car handles like garbage, there’s no tilt to steer feature which is a must on phone racing games, and the graphics are ridiculous for the price. I understand that’s the aesthetic you guys were going for, but if I’m paying this much for a game, at least make the car handle well if you gonna put seemingly no effort into the graphics. This shouldn’t cost what it does, and I’m probably either going to delete the app, or keep it on my phone and forget it’s even there. A refund would be nice. I’m not saying this is the worst game, hence my 3 star rating, but it’s not worth the price. Offer a free version with ads or something..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Lazy portThis is not a good port. The controls are unpredictable and also can’t be remapped either in touch mode or on the controller. There are occasional crashes in the menus. Phone calls or FaceTime interrupt the game but don’t allow you to pause, and your stage timer will continue to run. I have hopes that this will be improved but I would recommend waiting for updates before buying..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Its bad.First off, i’ve played plenty of rallying games, including wrc and dirt rally 2, as well as rallying games on mobile, i’ve also played beam.ng and assetto corsa. I know what I’m talking about. It’s bad. The controls are bad, you can’t even customize them. The cars feel heavy and slide everywhere. They don't obey the laws of physics at all and are extremely hard to control. They take waaaayy too long to fall back to the ground after a jump. Counter-steer does not behave like it does in real life, so drifting properly and doing hairpins is practically impossible. Everything looks and behaves like it was drawn up and made in 1 week. THERE ARE NO PACE NOTES?!!! How can you make a rally game and not have pace notes???? This app should be free if it is going to be the complete joke that it is. It’s built like a free app, and I paid, what was it, $4.99 for a pre-order? And its supposed to go up in price?? Are you for real???? This game is a complete scam under the facade of a good car/rally enthusiast game with all of the famous cars. I too was awestruck by the music, scenery, and looks of the cars. Do not be mistaken, this game does NOT obey Earth’s physics. As of right now, it’s atrocious. I’m not sure if I can refund it, but if I can, I will. Maybe it will get better. Who knows? ✓ Great concept! But do not buyIn its current state, this game is NOT EVEN REMOTELY close to worth $8. It’s buggy, poorly optimized, the controls are insufferable, and stuttering makes driving impossible at times. Now this game is beautiful at a glance. I have a good few hours on it by now and these are my takeaways: 1. World building is awesome! The tracks are never boring, there’s great scenery and good variety. The different times of day also enhance the atmosphere of the game to a great extent! That’s why I feel that this is a great concept game. 2. The variety of cars and classes is also super cool, there’s all sorts of vehicles and there’s multiple paint jobs to unlock and use. Additionally, the cars act differently and you can tell easily when a car has more power than another and if it handles in a certain way. Great attention to detail in that regard. 3. Now for the not-so-great. The controls in their current state are HORRIBLE. I cannot emphasize enough that left/right buttons are NOT adequate for an $8 mobile game claiming to show you the “art of rally”. Tilt steering or even a slider would improve the immersion (actually, the playability) of this game greatly. 4. The game is also quite lag-prone and your phone my well burn your hands. Admittedly, the most recent update has cooled off my iPhone 12 quite a lot and I appreciate the performance updates and that the developer definitely cares about the UX at this point. Hopefully it stays that way. Still an issue is the consistent stuttering in the game, which may be a hardware limitation on my 12, but still is annoying, I lose control of the car and crash because it locks up for a second. Please fix. 5. This is small, but please fix the UI in the menus. It’s artsy, but not easy to use or read. The developer is clearly knowledgeable about rally racing! But it’s hard to read what you say when I get a little box with a scroll bar. Again, little thing, but I want to appreciate your work easily! Conclusion: DO NOT buy this game until the controls are fixed, it is NOT worth the high price until that happens, and honestly will never be worth that price. If you like car games, this one will be great WHEN THE STEERING IS FIXED..Version: 1.0.4
✓ Too hard to playThere’s full throttle or no throttle. Nothing in between which makes it so hard to control. The handbrake is awkward and after 5 mins of playing I felt like I was crippled. ✓ Great game but…It’s an amazing game that has a great balance of simplicity but also difficulty the one thing that really takes away from the game it’s the amount of crashes, it crashes very often, usually at the beginning or middle of stages, i haven’t been able to play a free roam game without it crashing when i get it. ✓ Great game major flaws.To be honest I have been excited for this game for a while now. Preordered and got it. Game is beautiful. All the tracks, maps and cars. Hope there’s more in the future. Tho it is very frustrating when the game still doesn’t feel very optimized. My IPhone 15 Pro Max runs very hot. Only this game. I play Call of Duty mobile max settings. Devil May cry.. many power hungry and graphic intensive games. And for whatever reason this beautiful yet simple art style is cooking my phone. In an era of these super powerful phones with extreme performance I feel this should be a piece of cake. Hope to see 120 frames in the future..Version: 1.0.3
