✓ “Sync” is still laughably slow, drops out…After 5 “Pro” versions of this app, why does it still take more than an hour for the app to download and display 1000 titles in my collection? The app mostly works well for collecting, but the “synchronise” feature is just absolutely ridiculous at this point. I just paid for the latest version and it’s just as slow and ponderous as ever. Why is it so slow to synchronise data to my phone? What is being synchronized to my phone in the first place? Why are we synchronising? Why can’t the titles and their images just be downloaded/displayed dynamically from server, like any web service? We have high speed mobile internet. Why does this app even need to “sync” data to local storage on phone, at all? Because of large cover images? Why do I even need to see such large images on my tiny phone screen? To make matters worse, the sync action often times out and requires multiple attempts to complete. And it cannot run in the background - the My Movies app has to be open and active in foreground, for it to continue. So you can’t use your phone for anything else until it finishes. If you’re going to keep charging 20 bucks every so often for new “pro” editions, you need to get rid of this ancient “sync” design and make the app work with a more modern, faster architecture..HibernaculumVersion: 5.08

✓ Not as good as the previous versionOn the previous version, I never had any issues with showing the images of the cover of the movie I’ve added. With this version this Is the only main issue I have! Customer support seems a little slower as well. I’m pretty disappointed. ✓ Best movie collection app but now with prn!This app needs to be 17+ now because it now introduces prnography to your collections. This app can easily be turned on by your child or yourself to allow prn titles and pictures to feed their addiction. Why go this unethical route? Quite disappointed to see this from a great app. I’ve been a fan for a long time and have upgraded every time happily but now kinda regret it. Don’t get me wrong, best app out there for recording movies collections but the mistake companies do is think they need to include prn to make something better. Also, This doesn’t have to do with my rating but I find the price increase in upgrading at half price is quite steep to upgrade again. So full price will be $30? Starting to lose me. The good: everything else. Great interface, easy adding, ability to contribute, able to add multiple copies now, good support, reporting, trailers attached. My requests to improve: contributing is not very user friendly with how to do it, being able to link your movie to the app like being able to go directly to iTunes or Plex or Vude, remove prn or make it incredibly hard to access, I don’t want to even tempt myself. ✓ Surprise Subscription Model Incoming…I’ve purchased every Pro Version and they synced nicely between my devices. It was the go-to movie cataloging app for our family(we have separately purchased for our multiple collections). But now not only did I have to purchase the new version for my iPad, I have to repurchase AND pay yearly in the future for my iPhone as well? No updated Mac Version? Will it sync with the multiple versions I have now? What happens when it’s time to update again? The object is to keep track of my collection when I visit my Friendly Local Independent Record Store so that I don't purchase the same movie twice(four times actually). I’d like to still be able to keep track the movies I’m cataloging, but I’m not sure that it’s worth a surprise $60 a year..K'ShantiVersion: 5.11
