Version 37.005 July 2021Has your cycle been affected by COVID-19 infection or vaccination? Tracking your period volume, pain symptoms, and cycle length in Clue can help you to understand if and how you’ve been affected.
We’ve seen plenty of anecdotal evidence flying around social media about how a COVID-19 infection or vaccination can disrupt the menstrual cycle – whether it’s heavy periods, late periods, or even periods returning after menopause. These claims are yet to be verified by scientific research, but expert Kathryn B. H. Clancy, PhD at University of Illinois, says that any changes shouldn’t last longer than a cycle or two.
As the science evolves, we will continue to update our website (www.helloclue.com) with evidence-based research about any possible link between COVID-19 and the cycle.
This update includes bug fixes and behind-the-scenes work to keep your tracking as accurate and seamless as possible. If you're enjoying using Clue, feel free to leave us a rating and review!

We regularly update our content to answer all of your most-asked questions, from period blood color to understanding skin changes throughout the cycle.
