CREATE
Choose and connect parts together to build rocket ships. You can choose from a variety of rocket engines, fuel tanks, and other gizmos. You can even build rovers with powered wheels. You are only limited by your imagination.
EXPLORE
Blast off from any planet you want. You can fly through the intense atmosphere of Venus, or you can take advantage of the low gravity of Mercury. Whip around the sun and launch yourself out to the far reaches of the solar system.
CHALLENGES
Several challenges are built into the game so you can see who can go the fastest, fly the farthest, orbit with the least amount of fuel, land on the moon, and so much more.
ROCKET SCIENCE
Kepler wrote the equations 400 years ago, and SimpleRockets uses those equations to model extremely realistic orbital physics. Players will learn about rocket science and astrodynamics while they are having a blast exploring the solar system. ✓ Build your vehicle out of here!Update: This new update is immense. Satellites and multiple rockets make for fun sessions.. ------- I often check the top 100 paid-apps to see if there is anything noteworthy or interesting in store. I instantly dismissed 'simple rockets' as a children's game on the premise of the logo and continued to look, but nothing was of interest and for some reason I felt compelled to have a look at simple rockets. I'm very glad I did. As soon as I saw the concept and screenshots I was clicking 'pay'! I loved 'bad piggies' and anyone else who does will enjoy this too. The gameplay in itself is highly addictive. I take great pleasure in trying to create the perfect craft, manipulating the positions of fuel tanks, choosing the engines and choosing the sequence of actions I'd like it to perform. Many a time it simply crashes thanks to my negligence! Spinning and crashing into earth is unfortunately a common sight for me, but it's the moment you first reach orbit in your very own craft that makes it all the worthwhile. In addition to the fun mechanics, i'm thoroughly impressed with the scale and accuracy of the solar system in-game. The distances are huge! It seems to be infinite too as I found on 'map view' scrolling into inter-terrestrial space. Get this game. Make sure you read the instructions and let your creativity and imagination shine. ✓ Awesome Game! Needs More Updates Though.I love this game! I'm addicted to it! The only thing that frustrates me is that you can't attach one piece to two pieces at a time. A piece can only be connected to one, making my aircrafts break in mid-air from the lack of pieces attached together. Other than that, cool game :D ..Version: 1.6.10
