UpdateEvery time it ask for an update it defaults to one medication and you cannot view the other content. You have to delete the app and redownload the app. Its pretty annoying..Version: 1.80.0

Neee an update with the new iOSThis app has been my go to app so far along with Lexicomp. A major flaw with this app is that they haven’t updated the app with the new iOS and the new iPhone X compatibility. It is really annoying to be stuck at the older app. The developers need to update the app and make it more compatible and viewer friendly. I have a paid version for this app and I believe I am not asking for too much..Version: 1.79.3

Disappointing updateAs a 2nd year pharmacy student this app was great for me, especially if I came across an unknown drug on placement, I could quickly find it without having to leaf through the BNF. Then it crashed, I reinstalled it and it asks for a seemingly unobtainable password and has a message about the products no longer being available for purchase outside of the US and Canada. Thoroughly disappointed, used to be a 5 star app that I used all the time, hope it changes back in the future..Version: 1.52.0

Does not work; won't save password!This app used to work fine and just require you to re-enter your mobile facility password infrequently but apparently an update has created a bug where it is CONSTANTLY requiring me to reenter the password. It is massively annoying when I am trying to work. I consider this bug to have rendered this app virtually nonfunctional. They need to fix ASAP before everyone deletes it. Update issuesThis is still my go-to app from a content perspective, but now every time it updates, the app is stuck on the previous drug I had searched for. Garbage.I have an institutional license and password to use this app. However, I am required to enter the password every time I open the app. In addition if the app requires me to update every time I turn it on in order to use it, which takes no less than 20 minutes every time (sometimes several times per day). Does not work with “dark screen” iPhone updateThis app does not work with the new iPhone update. The brightness of my iPhone hurts my eyes so I chose the dark settings with the new iPhone update and literally all of the words on neofax are black. You can’t even read them at all. The only way that you can read what is under the title is by clicking a black row to see which medication it is. So this is really not helpful when I need to see a quick medication dose at work.Version: 1.80.4

Wifi requirement update is pointlessI am very displeased with the wifi requirement basically to operate the app! It really defeats the purpose of having an app on the go when you may not have wifi/internet connection at all, even though the prompt says you should be able to access old content. Ripped off, disappointed!!!No Ryan it is not that we "seemingly don't understand," we understand exactly what has happened. I think it is you who seemingly does not understand. We have been using this app for years. Now we were asked to "update" our app, to then lose the app and now have to subscribe to it. That is very disappointing!! We can rate and review as we choose. Disappointing as customers for years now we now have to pay for "essentials" and yearly as well! As a student I do not have a subscription yet and do not want to pay for "essentials." Used to be great, will never work now.The content of this app is fantastic, concise, and well organized. Three years ago I would have rated it 5/5 stars without hesitation. This app helped me immensely through nursing school and in my first months of work as a nurse it was a life-saver as my facility did not have internet and I passed a lot of medications. Now; however, it will almost never function and on the very rare occasion that it does it takes at least five minutes on my part to get it functioning, at which point I might as well have researched the internet. I never use this app now. I got on today in hopes it might work and spent the past five minutes trying to update the app or re-enter my password. Keeps requesting passwordThis review will echo many before it, but it doesn't seem that the message is getting through to the developers. I work for an institution that gives us a password to use with this app. I enter this password and gain access, but then every few days I am again asked for my password. The purpose of this app is quick reference. I should only have to enter a password once. Because I don't memorize this password or have the time to enter it each time even if I did remember it, the app is unusable. This means my institution is paying for something that they are not getting. This problem has been present for over a year. This tells me that customer service at Micromedex is lacking. It's too bad too because this was a great app when it worked. I now go elsewhere for drug information, recommend others do the same, and have passed this information on to the administration at my institution..Version: 1.70.0

Doesn’t workThe only thing you can really do on here is search for drugs. You can search for them but you can’t click on them. None of the links work they just highlight then nothing happens. It gives the option to search by class but then there are no drugs listed under any of the classes. Plus no interaction checker! This app is worthless. It literally only gives names of drugs. Please update the softwareThis app would be a five-star app if they would update the version compatible to the latest iOS or at least compatible to iPhone 5... I have to go through typing in the password every time I open the app, and I don't even know why it has to update for 15mins every time I open the app, because nothing seems changed after that "update". It OK if was not for their expiration crapThe only reason I have to use this is because I don't have access to the lexicomp app through work anymore... Finally how to get around with updatesThank to some of the users here. The way to get rid of that annoying updates and wifi required for using this app is to uninstall and then reinstall. It will ask you to enter the password again but now I can finally use this app again!.Version: 1.76.0

Fix Drug Class searchBeen using this app for years. One of the more useful features has been to search by drug or by drug class. With recent updates the drug class search is gone. Fix this please..Version: 1.80.3

Lexi Is A Better OptionIf you search a drug, suspend the application, then reload it at a later time and do a search for a new drug it will load in information from the previous session despite it not matching the same drug. I was informed to fix this I must delete the app and then reinstall but I’ve already had to do that once before to fix an issue with it constantly asking me to enter my password each time. I really don’t prefer micromedex already for drug info but I find this issue to be rather unsafe..Version: 1.80.0

Continuous updates and wifi requirement renders app uselessEvery time the app is opened it attempts to update the content regardless of previously been open seconds prior. This updating takes approx 30-60 seconds. It also requires the user to be connected to wifi. If no wifi connection is available the app does not even open. This app used to be an excellent resource. But with these barriers to access the resource has made this app useless.Version: 1.76.0

ShamefulThe previous version was one of the easiest and most comprehensive medical apps to use. Now it is one of the most complicated with this update and a requirement to sign up. I used to rave about the previous product; I will not use the current app as it is. I would have been willing to pay a onetime fee for its use but I will not pay a subscription. Refuse to subscribe & teach a lesson re:GREEDI refuse to subscribe based on principle, not cost. The person at Truven that proposed and those that approved this new revenue stream have managed to destroy your customer satisfaction. I wanted an app that didn't require any sort of internet access (ever after the initial download) - if I did, I would have just used Google to get the drug info. I am a nurse and a healthcare IT clinical consultant that USED to recommend Micromedex to all my clients; all of which are hospitals, health systems, and university medical centers. Congratulations, I have already found your replacement. I hope everyone teaches Truven a lesson about greed. Truven is forcing everyone into a subscription fee for their apps. So I am discontinuing use of all of their apps. I will NEVER recommend a Truven app to my clients again. They pay health institution rates which are much higher than $2.99/yr, but Truven did such a horrible job of implementing the new fee structure for individuals, that I no longer trust their customer service skills. I would hate for one of my clients to experience something similar for their institution fees..Version: 1.57.0

Unrelenting updatesApp is very frustrating because you can never actually use it when you need to. The moment it opens it forces an update, which can take forever on poor internet connections. I end up having to google most of my drug questions because I don’t have time to wait. Updates should be done in the background or regularly through the App Store. Needs rethinkingAre used to love to use this with my medical students and residents because it had no commercial sponsorship unlike the other products such as epocrates. Password issuesI used to love this app (and other Micromedex apps) but now it is requiring I enter the password every single time I open the app. And the passwords aren’t self set and are always a weird combo of letters and numbers that I won’t possibly be able to memorize. Useless with new updateThe most recent version updates the entire content every time you open the app. This takes at least a minute or two and makes the app useless for my work. If you do not have wifi, it will not open at all, although it tells you in a pop-up that you can open without updating. There is no mechanism to do this, only a "retry" button for the update. Possible error caused by retained cacheIf the App is not closed, the cache is not cleared even when an update is imported. This results in prior drug info displaying even when selecting a new drug in the search. If not careful in noting that the new search info did not pull up, this can lead to dosing or other errors. The App should clear its cache with each new search or update to prevent errors..Version: 1.80.1

Useless!!I rarely ever write review but this new app is such a piece of junk that I felt compelled to. Not sure why they felt the need to change a great clinical tool to a wasted space on my phone. This was not just an update. This was the destruction of something useful and the replacement of said useful tool with total crap. Stop being greedy Truven. When will this program get fixed?It went from asking me for my password every time I launched it to only once a week, and now with the latest updated version it not only crashes half of the time it is back to asking for my ("once a year" as it says in program) entering of my password almost every time I boot it up. What good is the program for on the job use, if we have to run back to our offices, turn on the computer just so we can log onto the network to get the password that most institutions don't want you to write down after they spent money on it? Disaster of an update. Apparent FIX.Like the others have stated, the app wants to update at each launch and requires Wi-Fi to run. The work-around is to uninstall it or put up with it until fixed. There is e-pocrates. *Update* In all fairness, there appears to be a fix for the constant updating at each launch. After uninstalling, I found that rather than blowing it off, that reinstalling the app and reentering the password fixed the problem, at least so far. Check the expiration date of the content. It may have expired too. I have increased the rating to three stars..Version: 1.76.0
