✗ Terrible, poorly designed clunky export functionI have been using Construction Cost Estimator for 4 years which is the precursor to this app. I have bid on approximately $22M of work with it. They have stopped supporting it and I got a new computer so was told to purchase contractor tools to export my old proposals into. There is no mass export function, so I am stuck loading hundreds of proposals in one at a time and there are so many bugs and glitches. Every time I click back into one application it prompts me into Contractor tools so I quit the application and it still remotely opens contractor tools even though I am just trying to use construction cost estimator. I uninstalled contractor tools from my computer. Now while I am trying to use construction cost estimator I am getting prompted that functions cannot be completed because contractor tools is not installed on my computer. I have never lost faith in a product so quickly..Kvdimgj18hxVersion: 4.3

✗ Says free 30 days, but I was charged immediatelyI used a previous version of this app a few years ago and liked it, but it didn't yet have all the features I needed so I quit. Recently looked into it again and it looks like it's improved quite a bit, which makes sense because I remember the developer being reponsive and helpful. I installed the new version, which clearly says "The first 30 days are free," and I subscribed to the Pro plan for the features I need, with the understanding that I would have 30 days to test it out. I haven't even finished setting it up, and haven't yet had a chance to test it out, before I was charged full price. Maybe this is a problem with Apple rather than the developer. Anyway, the developer should make it clear in the description that the first 30 days are not free, except maybe for the basic version if the user does not subscribe. As is, it seems misleading. I don't really want to pay $50 for a trial, especially when it's supposed to be free. It's a lot of work to set up and test out, only to be disappointed and have wasted my time. I also subscribed to the Craftsman cost books, which I understand is separate from the Apple app store and not part of a free trial. This is generally a good feature, but less useful that it was before. Before I could buy a cost book once, instead of subscribing to all of them monthly, and could also view the book in PDF form. This was more useful as there are detailed instructions and caveats within the books, which do not show up in the ContractorTools app now. I'll probably just request a refund for the app, cancel my subscriptions, and go back to what I was doing before, without this app..Chiang Mai SausageVersion: 2.8.2
