✓ Simple yet powerful.I’ve been using this app for years. I originally got it because it was one of the few apps that didn’t require any integration with my bank account. Over the last four or so years, this app has unquestionably played a pivotal role in helping me pay off over $25,000 in credit card debt. I’m now debt free and still using it to track my spending. ✓ Fantastic app for daily trackingGreat app, haven’t found any others that work on a daily spend budget and I can sync it so my wife is up to date too. Requires manual entry for each purchase as it does not connect to your bank but many apps that connect to banks use unsafe ways of doing it. ✓ Favorite budgeting app for over a yearI spent a long time looking for an app that was right for me, mainly something that tracked all my spending in one budget in a simple and intuitive way. Daily Budget was the only app that worked for me. It’s become essential for me to keep track of my spending and make sure I’m saving as much as I need to each month. There are also helpful graphs that I like to use to see how my spending has changed. Recent updates have also made the app run way smoother. Coming from apps like Mint that connect to your bank accounts, I wasn’t sure if Daily Budget would work for me since I’d have to input transactions. I quickly got used doing it, and I think it makes the app even more useful because whenever I make a purchase I see how my budget is affected. If you’re looking for a simple, intuitive budgeting app to generally track your spending, I cannot recommend Daily Budget enough..Version: 4.2.1

It gives you a bottom line number for how much you have available to spend every day, after adjusting for normal monthly expenses and how much you want to save. ✓ Quick, easy, pretty daily budgeting.I've been looking for an app like this for a while, but too many daily budgeting apps are too complicated to bother using every day, or too ugly to want to look at. This app is clean, simple and very useable. You tell it how much you've got available and how long you want that to last for and it tells you how much you can spend each day. If you underspend one day, the remaining funds are added to the next day. If you're saving for something, you can have it automatically allocate funds to that each day. This is a budgeting method that worked well for me in the days of the 'Daily Money' Palm Pilot app and it's working again for me now. Thanks for a great app and keep up the good work..Version: 2.2.1

✓ Great app features and policy, but find interface lackingI really want to like this app. The iCloud syncing, iPad version, privacy-respecting data handling, CSV export, and other financial management features are all great. The app also has a visually appealing GUI. It has a lot to recommend it in my opinion. However, I find the GUI and financial graphing styles lacklustre and ultimately unhelpful in building a clear visual intuition of my finances. I feel like I have to squint at the bar charts to understand their meaning, and the home page “stacked bricks” aren’t very visually intuitive, at least to me. I value getting an “at a glance” visual overview of my accounts, and this app’s current approach leaves me feeling like I can’t get that intuition very well from its’ charts. As alternate examples, I like the curve line from “Budget Burndown”, or the “Buddy” budgeting app’s per-icon pie graphs. I also like “Subtotal”’s use of a magnitude-over-time graph for showing balances over time. In general, a greater use of pie charts, magnitude curves over time, and similar graphs that give a sense of visual proportion (e.g spending vs. max allocated budget) would go a long way towards improving my experience. This is my first ever App Store review and I’m doing it because I’ve used this app religiously for 3 years, it’s the only budgeting solution I’ve ever found that works for me, the creators of the app listen to feedback and implement it, customer service is great—the one time I had problems I got quick responses, good help, and was given an upgrade to the pro version for free for the hassle. As far as I understand it’s kind of a one man (or at least small) production behind this app, but whoever’s running the show is doing a great job. Can take a bit of figuring out to get the app to work for you the way you want it to based on your specific circumstances, but experiment, hop on the subreddit and ask questions, or reach out otherwise to the creators and you’ll figure it out. It would be better if there could be more details and if the chart remain in the horizontal format. UPDATE: Would love to see a way to group big spending expenses together. ✓ Greatapp for keeping track of your moneyI’ve been using this app to manage my spending as I work and travel on my gap year and it has really helped me make the most of my money. It’s really simple to use, and nice to look at too (both things that make me less likely to not bother noting down an expense 😜). The more complex features like spreading out big payments over time are really useful too. One thing I would say is that it’s not always 100% intuitive how to some of the less core features (such as adding recurring expenses, that took me a while to figure out). The savings feature doesn’t seem to work for irregular incomes which is a shame. Also I’d like if there were some way to spread daily surplus over the future rather than just outing it all on to the next day. Would definitely recommend.Version: 5.0.1

✓ I really like this app, but...This app is great at helping me stay within my budget as it is easy to use and having a daily “allowance” with an forecast of where I will be 1 and 2 days later really helps me know exactly what I have to spend and what it will take to get back on track if I spend more than your allowance on any given day. I love that! What would make it even better would be if you were able to keep track of your exact recurring expenses in the app - for example, I added to my recurring expenses an average monthly amount for babysitting so I am less likely to get surprises in my daily allowance, but this amount does vary from month to month and it would be helpful if I could keep track of my babysitting expenses somehow in the app without the app deducting it twice from my budget. Right now I do that in a separate excel spreadsheet and that gets cumbersome and time consuming. One more thing that would make this app even better is if you had the option to add a transaction in the “transactions” tab. When I go through my credit card statement to make sure I have added everything into my app, it is really annoying and very time consuming to have to get out of the transaction tab, go into the main page, add the transaction, get out of the main page, go back into the transaction tab, then scroll down to where I left off. After several times doing this, I don’t want to continue keeping my budget up because it is such a pain! It would be so great if I could just add the transaction in the transaction tab, then continue where I left off..Version: 3.4.4

Love the simplicity of it! There is something about having a bottom line number of how much we can spend (and a commitment to not spend more than that amount)...this app is making us think about our money in a totally different way. This app is not for someone who wants to micromanage their money (in theory you could with the app if you set it up that way though), but is definitely for you if you want an easy way to know how much you do or don’t have to spend.
