✓ Great InformationI’ve learned so much from this site that I wouldn’t have ever known. A veterinarian clinic told me that my kitty would have to have an expensive test for Feline Leukemia before she could be vaccinated for it. This site says that if she does or doesn’t have it that the vaccination wouldn’t hurt her either way. Saved me a lot of money!! Also, that they get it from other kitties and she’s strictly an indoor cat and isn’t exposed to other cats. On that recommendation, I’ll not be giving her the vaccination anymore..Version: 2.5.3

✓ Valuable service, app has some technical quirksI’ve used the paid consultations several times and have found them very useful, even if the answer is simply “you do (or don’t) need to see a vet in person soon because ...”. One really annoying technical issue: on an iPhone, when I am typing in the chat with a vet, I cannot see the text box - it is covered up by the keyboard. So I can’t see what I’m typing and end up with a lot of typos that are a pain to fix because as soon as you click in the text box, the keyboard comes up and you can’t see the text anymore. Another small glitch: sometimes links don’t work. When I tap on them, nothing happens. Other times they work fine. I agree with another review that said it would be great if you could search for vets with specific specialties (e.g. ophthalmology) and write more detailed reviews for vets..Version: 2.5.58

✓ Great vet and very responsive!Our cat has feline asthma. My wife and I have been considering administering an inhaler. I requested a phone consultation through PetCoach. Not wanting to bother anyone on a Sunday, I did not call right away. Then, I got an email from a vet asking if I was available to talk! I replied, “Okay!” and sent a video of my cat having an attack. The vet listened carefully to my cat’s history and took me through the treatment options. She was better than my local vet! I now have a good plan for how to treat my cat. This is a great service. ✓ Excellent resourceI really appreciate the knowledge gained from this app. Thr are a couple of UI oversights that are annoying, such as not being able to move backwards in your page history so you must retype your keyword search after reading every article. Nevertheless the content has filled many gaps in my knowledge of animal care and enabled me reduce veterinary expenses by resolving minor issues at home and teaching me how to identify & monitor for signs of trouble in due time to schedule appts and receive adequate veterinary support as necessary. ✓ Awesome service!!I’ve been looking for a cheap/fast ask a vet service for awhile and I finally found one!! It cost $8 to get an answer within 30 minutes. The answer was detailed and easy to understand. You can also do the free option and get an answer within a day. They also offer a more advanced option for $30 with follow up and other things. ✓ Like the idea!I’ve used this app a lot lately! Most of the time I get helpful or insightful answers. Sometimes someone answers with something super textbook or seems to gloss over the particular details I added in. I usually use the free 24 hour question so I don’t really have complaints there. Just like IRL sometimes you get a vet who you like and sometimes you aren’t quite satisfied. I’ve yet to pay for a consult but certainly would consider it. I do wish there was a way to search vets on the platform and see their question history to seek out one that seems like they might be a good fit for whatever the situation is. My main issue with the app itself is that I hardly can get it to work for some reason. My software and app are up to date, but if I’m browsing others questions and click to read full answer, it sits loading. Same thing when I try to view my own profiles question history or tap on notification that I have a response. This freezing up happens every time I use the app far as I can tell. So I use it to ask Qs and have to go to browser when I get notice there’s been a response. App could use some work but, the concept is super appreciated and I appreciate those vets and techs who take the time to thoughtfully answer!.Version: 2.5.56

✓ Wow❣️I 'liked' them on Facebook and was given a free diagnosis (actually free ideas, because only a vet in person can diagnose). They helped with great ideas, where my in person Vet, didn't do or offer to do even the simplest of solutions and that cost me $90 for nothing other then taking his temperature and says everything seems fine. GRRR. So yes, I would definitely recommend this app and the service it provides. August 1st Update... We took Monty to another vet. Monty was very ill, they told us. We had to euthanize him. ✓ Good for the PriceThe first Doctors response was a little ridiculous. She gave me only THE WORST OF THE WORST possible outcomes and acted as though my dog was going to die if I didn’t get him to a vet. I studied vet sciences and was a veterinarian technician for a few years. I already KNEW that this was NOT the case but I just needed a little extra guidance on a medication my dog ingested. I made it aware that this vet needed to describe the normal possibilities WITH the bad and also GOOD signs that the dog’s body is handling the situation. I then re-entered my question and added that I’d like good and bad signs. Another vet responded faster (within 15 min) and she gave an absolutely calming answer. She still made me aware of the bad but made sure I knew good signs and gave me very good guidance. I gave her a thumbs up! So I’d recommend this but sometimes they do NOT contact in 30 min (the first vet did NOT) but they don’t make you pay if they don’t answer. I will be using it again as long as my first vet doesn’t respond to me again.Version: 2.5.2
