Peak - Brain Training for Positive User Reviews

Fun and effectiveThis app is the best I've found for brain training. The free 'version' I've found to be enough on its own if you want a quick and relatively effortless way to train your brain. The rankings, daily challenges and 'streaks' of days are motivating, and the analyses at the end of each workout is informative feedback. Would definitely recommend!!.Version: 3.11

Good variety of gamesSomething for everyone in this set..Version: 4.21

Great App but facing problemsThe app itself is a great platform to train the brain. With a number of cool and simple games each designed to target and strengthen ones abilities. I am using the free version of the app which may be the reason behind my problem. But I am unable to progress the 'Scorer' objectives. I can seem to score above the threshold and colour one progression box. However when I come to one of the games at a later time, the progression for that objective has been reset, hence I am unable to progress my training. Though a good app I continually use, this problem is limiting my experience..Version: 5.12

Life long member and do not regret it!I purchased a life long family plan (great value) with Peak about 10 years ago and whilst I have had breaks from it, I love the fact that it challenges my thinking in numerous ways. Recently, having had a long break, I deleted all my scores because not having played it for a couple of year, I was unable to play at my previous levels. My scores, currently exceed my previous scores (I kept copies of them). It is also reassuring to know that despite the aging process, I my brain is still active and learning. Would not have know that, but for Peak. Thanx Peak..Version: 5.32.0

Challenging, fun and great supportA great all round Brain Training App. You don't feel like you are actually doing any training as it's fun. Does get quite challenging, but as it should and you soon find out your strengths and weaknesses. The support team are great if you have any queries, such as game queries or technicals issues. I found it so beneficial I upgraded after two weeks. So much better for you than chasing candy around a screen (no offense!). It really is fun and you see results almost instantaneously. Highly recommend..Version: 4.7

Love the app but I hate bugsQuick review. I’ve been playing this at the pro level for a few months now and I enjoy seeing the progress and I feel like it helps me expand my mind and improve the skills that it focuses on which improves how I do my work and interact with others. I enjoy it enough to have it be one of the first things I do on a daily basis. It’s actually like a required step in my day. Which brings me to the star reduction. Today I logged on and I had been somewhere in the 90’s for my playing streak. Yesterday, I played it as I always do. Today I opened it and my streak said 0 days. I thought it was an error and would reset after I did the daily workout (because I’ve opened it before and observed that the interface behaved “differently”, I just assumed that this was a one off thing). But after I did my workout, it updated the day count to one. That is a big that seriously frustrates me. All of the other issues I have with these games have been covered by other reviewers except for the fact that if you name a game Word Fresh Zen and push some of the craziest letter combinations as words, then you had better include the word ZEN as a real word. Thanks..Version: 5.24.0

Good but...We should at least get a month trial on peak pro other wise it could be trash and a waste of money. Seriously just one month would be great! Oh and why do we need s subscription to do the trial it’s just dumb! One month free trial no sub and every thing is unlocked for one month everything even the add ons please if you do this no one will be wondering what is in the pro and add ons so give us a trial!.Version: 4.26.1

It’s not a bad appI’ve been using it on and off for a few years. I think it has somewhat helped me with my memory and fast thinking but recently I’ve found that there have been some bugs. Sometimes the app won’t have volume even though it says it’s on and my phone has volume up. As I like having the background noise, this is rather irritating. Also, a few times when I tried to replay a game and watch the ad, it just brings me back to the score screen instead of actually letting me play it. All in all, I’ve seen a lot of comments bashing Peak but it’s actually a pretty good and fun way of keeping track of little things that need improving..Version: 4.34

A nightly routinePeak games are a nightly routine and I find them challenging and fun- I’ll do a 3-6 game workout every night. Sometimes I get games I find enjoyable and other times I get ones I find frustrating especially when I’m tired- but they are all a challenge. There’s always time for my favourite game should it not show up in the workout😉and I sometimes cant stop playing trying to get that high score! Exercise for the brain has never been so good!.Version: 4.20

Pretty well created appI was trying Neuronation app before I met this one. They structured it and designed very well. I am looking forward to the next day to better my memory and focus. I usually am very forgettable and lose focus too quickly. I give it a 4.5 stars since today was my first day and I liked it. I like the stats where I can see my progress and I will check it over time to see how I improve. I want to build my memory muscles and focus muscles. I think I found the app that will do that for me. What I like, is that it is backed up by universities and science. So I feel good that I have proven exercises to help me train these areas of my brain. I personally can’t wait to see the changes it will make in my daily life after whole of playing this and bettering my brain muscles. I would recommend this app. I really like how they organized it. They built in this streak for you to keep track. Also I like how they have a few levels from “novice” all the way to “legend”. The games feel very professional and I feel good that I will feel the benefits of these exercises in my daily life. I just really liked it how they have all my stats and progress organized..Version: 5.29.0

Like playing when I’m waiting.I like I can play game when I’m not connected to wifi, it’s entertaining. It enables me to work out my mind.Version: 5.33.4

Sort of excellent?!🤨I thoroughly enjoy most of the games on here and the challenges they present, but my one major gripe is that many of these games require visualisation i.e. use of the minds eye and if this is something you find hard (or even impossible) to do no amount of training improves it. This can be detrimental to the point where at times certain games fill me with an (almost) uncontrollable rage and desire to smash the phone in. Some understanding of this visualisation issue in these games would be welcome....Version: 5.17

Games are so addicting good for you! It's important to exercise your brain in many different ways! I can tell the days I don't do my workouts before work. When I don't, It's seems like I'm not as focused or awake and tend be more groggy. Also, (as embarrassing as it is) I've always struggled with words due to my dyslexia, and this has helped me get over the "pressures" of finding/spelling words. Turns out I'm actually quite good at them (better than my husband and it drives him crazy!) I guess I've lived my whole life telling myself I'm not good with words, so I wasn't. But now Peak helped me see that's not entirely true. Some/most games are so much fun too! To spend one on one interactive time together, my husband and I will pull out my phone and take turns playing games to challenge each other. I only wish we could select a "guest" button when he is playing so he doesn't effect my mental progression charts. I only bought into it because I got it on cyber Monday for $.99 a month. Worth the $.99 but I would never have signed up for $3!.Version: 4.7

ObsessedI’m playing this every single day. In fact 100 days in a row. But it’s not without bugs. Im currently on 701 brain score and it’s not recognising I’ve achieved Brainiac Level 4. I’ve been working hard to achieve it. I’ve even uninstalled and reinstalled the app. There are a tonne of games that I can’t rank up on until this works. I love the variety of games. Although I hate the coordination games. It’s too hard to get the required achievements. If you want to progress at higher levels you have to spend some serious time working on individual games. Just doing the workout each day is not enough..Version: 4.35

PeakI think this app is really great because i am developing in the language area where i am quite behind in, although i haven’t skipped a day playing and it keeps saying that my streak is 0 or 1 or -1 streak!.Version: 5.6.2

Amazing app!!! Highly recommendI’ve been using Peak since last year and it helps me a ton when I start the day and begin work. A great refresher and it gets my brain going, I’m ever so grateful, thank you. Even though I’m on the free version, you get a daily quiz and even though their wide variety of games might be limited - the games I have access to helps significantly. Thanks again, wonderful app. Also, even if you can’t afford the full version, it is worth your time using the free version..Version: 5.11.3

Pumping mindI have tried lots of brain training apps. Some I have paid to upgrade and others I have stopped using immediately. PEAK is a great app and I have paid for a lifetime subscription. The first notable difference is that the games are actually enjoyable. Perhaps not the primary concern for neurohealth but it is a nice bonus. The personalised training and high level feedback adds motivation and a sense of achievement. The activities themselves are designed to use all parts of the brain and even my weakest area has improved. As a free app, PEAK is comprehensive and enjoyable with impressive results. I used this for free for months before upgrading..Version: 4.11

New to Peak but loving itI’m very new to Peak but I am enjoying it very much so far! I saw this pop up on an Instagram advertisement and thought I’d give it a go as I love a good challenge. I currently have the Pro version unlike some other users but it is doing the job for what I need right now. Quick, fun brain-teasing games that don’t take up too much of my time; daily reminders can be set for you to do your ‘workout’ and it tells you how well you are progressing constantly in various different ways. I especially like seeing how well I am doing on the games in comparison to other Peak users at my level and seeing how I progress each time. Fantastic app - big thumbs up from me!.Version: 4.36

Frustrating - updateI’ve had the app for a few weeks and I enjoy the brain training games. I have a current iPad Pro and don’t understand why the app won’t rotate to use in landscape mode while propped up with my keyboard. That’s frustrating but now it has stopped working at all. I open the app and less than 30 seconds later it shuts down. This just started happening. On top of it, I’d rather pay up front for the app instead of a subscription but I understand it’s a way to bring in revenue instead of giving stuff away for free. But even if I wanted to sign up for the pro version (which I would consider after evaluating the app a bit longer), I can’t. The app won’t stay open long enough. 2 stars for the good games when it worked. Update - deleted app for a few weeks. Reloaded and now it’s working correctly. 1 less star for needing subscription to play more games. Would rather pay upfront for app and not an ongoing subscription..Version: 5.11.3

Great games but disappointing serviceI initially played these on recommendation from a friend as the free games. I loved it and so did my kids. The ads were annoying but it was super expensive to buy per month though. In the end I bought the app on the lifetime subscription as the App Store info says supports up to 5 users. There was no info that this would cost more or any way to upgrade when I bought it. After I purchased it the kids couldn’t use it and I was told I needed to buy another subscription. I wrote to app developers who confirmed the fee but otherwise didn’t reply! As a result I have asked for a refund and deleted the app out of principal. So disappointing! No good for families!.Version: 4.7

Challenging yet funYou get 5 free games a day and you get to replay to improve. Of course you have to watch ads in between if you play for free. It gets harder as you get better, but it motivates you to keep beating yourself!.Version: 5.2

Suddenly Set BackPeak is great and it definitely exercises my brain and keeps it sharper than it otherwise would. But I recently UPGRADED to Pro and all of my STATS went DOWN. I imagine this is because with the availability of all the other games, now there are suddenly a lot of zeros being taken into consideration from the games I have yet to play, but it was honestly incredibly DISHEARTENING when I looked at my progress and my stats had all dropped by at least 20%. All of my hard work and progress suddenly felt erased or disappeared, and though I know it's still there in my head, seeing my chart shrink in a major way is certainly not motivating, especially for someone who just shelled out the MONEY to be able to get even better. Maybe that's not something that occurred to anyone during programming, but it would be very nice if there were a DIFFERENT WAY of introducing unplayed games to the overall scores..Version: 4.22

Not much differentThis is a good game, but just like all of the others it gives you only four games to play a day, and if you want more you will have to pay. I think that personally for me it will just be easier to print out work sheets and complete them in hard copy..Version: 4.39

Wow can’t believe the bad w re viewsI’ve been with these guys for years I don’t pay I get six games a day and option to swap two. Yes sometimes that’s frustrating but I’m not paying. Does everyone in this world just expect everything to be free and dropped in their laps. I tried luminosity at first and they were the worst money grab. An honestly after a year .... without being hassled just can’t access certain games without being pro ... I’m now ready to sign up because I can’t find apps with the same kind of games without a mad amount of ads.Version: 5.6.1

Lots of fun little gamesThis app is great for anyone who likes little games to pass the time. It’s designed to help you work on different parts of your brain development. I got the pro version on one of their discount deals which is the only way I would have payed for it. The app allows you to compare your brain map to others. The downsides are that is doesn’t explain how the brain map works. Is it better to have a larger spread map or a smaller spread. I would be interested in knowing more about the science that they use to come up with these statistics. The other down side is that the professions section of the brain mapping is very limited. I work in the mental health field and there isn’t even a broad category for my profession so I cannot compare my brain map to my colleges. Despite that the games themselves are fun and there are a lot of games which will make it less likely that I will get bored with the app. If you want to go pro then wait until there is a large discount offer. The app is quite pricey otherwise..Version: 4.9

Have loved this app for years!Peak has been my go to “de-stresser” and mental floss for years now. Games load fast and you have goals, awards and badges to work towards which I find motivating. Even now that I’ve topped out in all of my favourite games, I’m constantly trying to nudge my overall brain score up. Reliable and with excellent depth. Thank you.Version: 5.33.4

PeakVery entertaining and a good brain workout..Version: 4.13.1

Missing crucial featuresWhile the overall aspects are ok but for a brain training app, it is just some where between 3 and 4 stars. The user performance record looks neat but it is no where near detailed enough. What we want is not just one chart that sum just the recent results or some scoring numbers. We come here to train so we need more than that. We want to know exactly where we did it wrong and how we could have done it right not just for the most recent performances but for the entirety of the tracking records. We want to know how far we have gone, what problems have been tackled and what was forgotten. This is especially essential for linguistic games when we learn much faster and more with feedback. It puzzles me as to why such thing is not addressed. For example the ‘babbled bots’ or the ‘grow’ game, where you have to use the given letters to create a word. For 20 tries, i keep staying at the same score level. I only improve later on when i start looking for a dictionary. Which makes me wonders why didn’t i get to see that in the app itself? I tried this app and the Elevate app. Elevate appeared to do a much better job at organizing their feedbacks and it helps me learn more..Version: 5.10

Increased advertising has spoilt this training appI’ve used this app for brain training almost daily for over 2years, the free version being more than adequate for my needs and not bothered by not being offered a balanced range of games so that I can improve my skills in all areas. While it is appreciated that ads are necessary to pay for these apps, especially those giving free access, I’d learned to live with a 30second video being introduced before 2 more free games were unlocked but the last update has introduced ads after each game. This is so infuriating that I’ve reluctantly decided to let it go and stop using the app - the ads really deter you from continuing. I can’t be asked to sit doing nothing between games! Sorry PEAK team...a step too far!.Version: 4.31.1

EnjoyI play this game every morning and it motivates me to continue learning new things throughout the day..Version: 4.19

Cognitive trainingI have been using this app for my morning cognitive training for the last 3 years. It is a game changer, I have noticed the difference in my ability to solve problems and other little changes in the way I think..Version: 5.31.1

Très captivantJ’adore ces petits jeux qui sont très variés et intéressants. Un petit 5 minutes par jour fais une différence et on voit des améliorations..Version: 4.29

Great variety! This app has such a great variety of games for different purposes and the calming games are a great addition although they could use a bit more work to make as good as the rest of the app 👍🏻👍🏻 even though it's a subscription so quite expensive I am really enjoying the pro app!.Version: 3.16.1

Good but annoying after updateI use this app every day, and I love the idea of training my brain and seeing areas of strength and where I need to improve. I bought the paid version and overall it’s been worth it. Since the last update, there’s been glitches which I hope get corrected soon. The most annoying is when you complete a workout but get stuck in it and there’s no way to exit back to the home screen without turning the device on and off. Very frustrating. Please fix..Version: 4.36

Enhances essential skills and VERY FUN!!Peak is probably the best app I have ever encountered in the sense that you’re phone isn’t killing your brain cells but actually strengthening them. Peak creates personalized “daily workouts” customized for your brain. These workouts consist of a variety of games that not only make your brain healthier and stronger but are also very enjoyable and fun. You can also do a series of workouts designed for you (even one with the games you need to improve on). With the Pro Package, if you don’t feel like following a guideline, you can choose any of the many games they have to do on their own. Each game is designed to build upon a certain area of your brain. For example, there are games that focus on emotion, memory, coordination, etc. Some of the games are designed specifically do encourage positivity within you. There are also a few games for relaxation or fun without a time limit or a score. I highly recommend this app if you enjoy apps that don’t kill your brain cells, but are also extremely fun..Version: 4.21

This app is awesome!I had it for a long time and didn't play on it and recently decided to play on it and my scores dramatically improved!.Version: 4.4

Addictive, fun, helpful, and worth it, albeit at discount 1-time rateI love Peak! I got it at a lifetime one time payment for about half price. The games are really fun and help keep your mind active and challenged through otherwise dull moments in life. I paid 6 extra for a new memory master class developed and it’s phenomenal. Overall, I’m very self conscious about my focus and memory and those two things have improved immensely since I’ve started using Peak..Version: 5.17.1

Buying in a deal is definitely worth itI bought the lifetime deal which had been reduced by 60% so it was better value. There are a large range of games and adequate tips to help you enough so that you can be independent while not completely struggling. The ranks and badges etc. really help with motivation and there are clear ways to track your progress and see what area (through the various workouts) you need to focus on. I recommend it! 🙌🏾 However, I think there should be a separate reminder element of the app that reminds you to not only start a workout but FINISH it. This is because I had a 282 day streak that because of various things I was doing that day I forgot I hadn’t finished a workout by ONE game and it was lost 😭.Version: 4.35

Extremely grateful to Peak- my anchorI don’t know what was going on with my brain, but suddenly I could not follow new instructions, accurately recall basic personal information about myself, or accurately use measurements / math. My mind was spiraling into a cognitive funk that impacted my daily life and livliehood. At the suggestion of a neurologist, I started daily training with Peak daily over four months ago. Daily training with Peak has been an anchor line that I have used to climb out of from the depths of a punky brain and climb back to normalcy. It grounds me, it works on many aspects of my brain. While no one can pinpoint why my brain dove into that funk potential culprits were spousal grief, long COVID, small town gossip, and financial stress. No matter why, I NEVER want to go there again. It horrible to not have your brain work. I love thinking. I feel that my daily Peak training has helped me return to normal brain function and build resilient neurological pathways to prevent future cognitive decline..Version: 5.34.0

Costs too much for what u getBasically just wish the free one let you do it for longer and more games in one session. I get that it’s supposed to make you buy it but I won’t as I don’t have enough experience wth it to want more.Version: 4.7

Cannot find a fault as of yetI was worried that this was going to be too intense to the point of getting bored with the app itself, however, although the games are simple and for the most part quite easy, they are engaging and surprisingly fun. I'm not certain of the science backing it but you do see progression in certain games and areas of the brain training. Being able to track your progression is also a great feature, and gives you more motivation to persevere. Finally, you play a limited amount of games daily, each day being a different type of game which keeps it interesting, coupled with the daily limitation ensures your enthusiasm to try out your next day game..Version: 4.10

If you don’t download this you are cursedIf you haven’t downloaded this game then you have been cursed with an unforgivable, horrible curse that won’t be lifted until you download it. Maybe Voldemort cursed you? This game is really good as when you first log in you can use a family account and play family members. My dad and stepdad both have it and they like it too. Some of the workouts have three activities while the other has eight. You never know. Before you start they show you the games and amount of them in your workout. They also have instructions. When you play the game the game chooses your best and worst games and put them in a separate workout. They also have Christmas games..Version: 4.30

Hold on to your brain, your most precious assetCalling all seniors! PEAK brain games have been an important part of my daily routine for nearly three years. If I feel tired after a spell of concentrated effort on the day’s assignment, I have a rest then resume, refreshed. Being in my ninth decade I don’t always have the same energy as time goes by but always try to improve on my game scores. I am without family and really appreciate all the positive feedback and support from my Peakster ‘family’ in the day’s summary. If you are aware of normal everyday happenings, I recommend you take up the challenges of the interesting games and recover and expand your dormant brain. Keeping alert rubs off on everything you do in maintaining your independence, gaining confidence and staying focused on the task in hand. In short - greater enjoyment of life. Give it a go and keep it up, even on your less good days. You will surprise yourself! Eileen.Version: 5.17

Brain GymWorth the wait for the techies to get the bugs out which stopped me moving to the next game. I am retraining my brain after a traumatic injury and have seen improvement from regular practice of 'brain gym' exercises. This app will allow me to track the improvements.Version: 0.9

My all time favourite but needs more updatingI’ve been playing Peak for years now. I love it. There is plenty of room for improvement though. 1- some games are never updated. Perfect example is Word Pairs. I’ve been getting the same words for years, it’s like they never ever updated it and it gets boring to see the same word combinations over and over. The problem is that you after a while you learn the combinations and it defeats the whole purpose of improving your skills since you know what to expect and look for it. Many games suffer from this 2- Sound FX is terrible. In many games I have to turn down the volume really low because the high pitched tones make it unbearable to sustain concentration. 3- finally, it seems as though once you’ve reached your cognitive/concentration limit, some game start becoming boring. Eg. Tap Trap, you do better and better until at one point the thing moves so fast that it’s humanly impossible to progress, (like Tetris in the past) then you just lose interest in the game because you know you will never get better. There needs to be a way to design the games in a way they can scale properly to keep interest. Anyway, I hope this is constructive enough. Many games need a lot of tweaks to perfect them. I love the app and I’m a lifetime subscriber.Version: 5.33.9

Issues with current pro versionPeak is great app but this latest version seems to forget which workout you are doing, for example, you start the “Problem solving” workout, you complete the first two games ok but when you try to complete the third game it returns you to a different workout. There is no chance of completing the workout that was originally started! Would be really good if this “bug” could be solved! Previous versions did not have this problem! The games are great, the issue is the workouts,.Version: 4.16

It’s greatIt’s worth the money but doesn’t give u the option to actually pay $4.99 a mo only $47.99 a year.Version: 5.8

PEAK-A-BOOM!This app is tied with Words With Friends in my opinion, both being two of the greatest apps of all time, & my personal faves...My only complaints are that I wish there were some sort of listings of Record Scores for each game, as well as some way to see the highest overall peak brain scores. The addition of those would really get my competitive fire burning hot...I also wish you could upload a pic to your profile, as that option kinda seems like it would be a given, and yet it's not. It would also be nice if new games were added a bit more frequently because each time one has been added, my excitement goes through the roof and I get motivated to hit legendary status as quick as possible. These are less "complaints" and more just the wants of a spoiled Brain Train Loving Brat... KUDOS to the creators, and Thnxx so much! The days I'm able to include some peak into my schedule are, more often than not, better days overall than the days I'm unable to fit a workout into. Keep up the good work!.Version: 5.6.1

Didn’t know I needed thisI didn’t know I needed to train my brain until I trained my brain. LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS APP.Version: 5.3

Review! My main concern is that when I first started using PEAK I got on well & was pleased with myself! Now, however, several of the games are just too hard & I wish I could go back to the beginning! Also the scoring seems to leave a lot to be desired, in my humble opinion! When I’ve done well on a game the line on screen goes down & visa versa. I can’t think of the names of individual games now but some are virtually impossible to achieve a good score & it’s maddening! Having said all that I do still enjoy it & am very glad I’ve got it for life! Jenny Speed spotting is ridiculously difficult these days & is getting right on my nerves! I used to be able to achieve a score of 90, these days impossible. It used to be that when I had 3 of a colour lined up & hit on the little ‘whatever’ it took the 3 out but oh no, not these days, it might take 1 or 2, never the 3! So frustrating, Doing more harm than good these days!.Version: 5.24.0

Truly helpsIt helped me increase focus and memory and I know better what my weaknesses are. Worth buying.Version: 4.17

Amazing but few problemsThis app is honestly amazing! I mean, with all it’s games, it’s a great app. But, there are a few problems. To begin with, whenever I want to play one of the games, but I have to watch an ad to play it, I watch the ad, but then everything glitches out! For example, I can’t click on anything and nothing would work, so I have to refresh the app, which is quite annoying because I wasted my time watching an ad to get no reward. And yes, this happened multiple times, each time I tried to watch something to play a game. However, it works on the daily workout section, but other than that, it glitches out on the other sections. To add on, why do we have to be a member to look at our stats. Yes, we can look at how we increased or decreased in the last month or week, but to look it our stats for 3 months, 6 months, and a life time? I don’t think it’s necessary for us to be a member to look at our progress. I get that we have to be a member to get better games for our brain, but just for our stats? It makes no sense to me to be honest. This is an overall great app with a few problems..Version: 4.32

Good Content, Premium CostMost of the content is excellent, but in addition to paying for a premium subscription to access most of that content, there are also a number of premium “one of fees” to unlock the highest quality content. Probably worth it if you are set on improving your mind and memory, but be prepared to pay a quite hefty price (yearly cost is equiv. of a AAA game before any “one offs”).Version: 5.19.0

Thank you very much for Chinese languageThank you.Version: 5.27.0

I Love This appAs I went past the many apps downloadable in the app store, I came across Peak! I looked at what it was and figured that it helps brain development. I downloaded the app only to try it out. It was so addicting and fun even without pro! After 3-4 weeks I thought I should get pro. This is when it got exciting! There was a black Friday sale so I got pro. I had a blast. I had gotten lots of brain development and is a very good app. Please continue to make more games in Peak. To the Peak Developers!.Version: 5.5

More a game app than a brain app.If you are really serious about improving your brain’s abilities, than this is not really the app. The games are great, lot of variety, good fun, great design and layout, well presented and very addictive. The stats about your improvements are a bit wonky and you can’t take them very serious. I am sure your reaction speed might increase and maybe a few other things. You have to relatively spend a lot of time for a bit of improvement, i am sure it can be done in a more efficient way. If you want more fun relative to improvement, this is the game for you..Version: 5.0.1

AddictiveReally enjoying this app. Quite addictive and enjoyable watching improvements..Version: 5.19.0

Great gameGame is fun to play. Can replay any free version game as long as you watch an ad. No problems. After a year finally paid for full pro version. It works great. I do play this game way to much but the challenge is exciting..Version: 4.28.4

Part of life now 😀I started with Peak mainly as a pastime that doesn’t involve physical effort and would allow me to rest but not get bored. I quickly realised that at 55, I really need to be doing these kind of games. I have used Peak for quite a few months now and it continues to keep me engaged. I’ve also improved a lot on most of the games. Even the games I initially didn’t like (because I struggled with them) I am now doing much better in and don’t groan when I see them in daily workouts! I have found that Peak has made me quite competitive and I strive to increase my PBS. I like the statistics as they show my progress compared to others of my age; this also motivates me. It is well worth the subscription fee and has kept me occupied for a lot of hours whilst improving my brain capacity..Version: 5.29.0

Engaging gamesI personally paid the one time fee, albeit, I got it on sale, but worth it nonetheless. Having only a monthly subscription option would have dissuaded me from ever buying into it, just like all the other brain game apps out there. A competitive price in my opinion, would have it priced under the same class as new console games. Games keep you engaged and focused, achieving its intentions. The ability to compare yourself with others in different age groups and categories help asses your skill levels, and appoint your priorities. I presume the crowd I’m measured to is small, as I don’t feel I should be scoring this high..Version: 5.32.1

Why do I need to pay money?I need this app so I can keep learning while in quarantine. But I can only play 3 games every 24 hours. Unless I pay $4 a month. This feels like a scam! Free video games don’t have you pay $10 if you want to play more than one level a day. Why is a game that is supposed to help you train your brain any different? I can understand why you want to make payment-exclusive games, but you need to make the free games, well, free! (Edit:) The developer responded to my review and said nothing helpful. I just want to have the free games have unlimited replays and the dev didn’t even acknowledge it! This is a bad app with a bad staff. (Second edit:) So the developer responded again. Feels nice to get attention. So I finally figured out why unlimited replays are behind a paywall. They are really boring. I mean the games are fun, but it’s just like schoolwork. A little is fun, but a lot is boring. Happy to just wait for like 3 games a day and spend the rest of my time doing something else..Version: 5.15.2

Enjoyable and encourages rounded developmentI’ve been using Peak for over a year. I enjoyed the free version but got fed up with not being to choose which games to play, so I paid for the full version at Xmas. There are limits on how far you can progress without achieving certain goals, such as completing a workout everyday (but there are lots to choose from) or achieving set goals within the games. These provide good challenges and make me play the games properly, rather than just frittering time away distractedly. Having achieved a high level in some games but more or less ignoring others, I’m now having to achieve an overall Peak brain score to be able to progress in all games. This annoyed me a bit - it’s another obstruction on progressing to higher levels and on my choice of what to play- but it’s meant I’ve engaged better with the games I don’t like or find challenging. As a brain training app this is great- I’m exercising a broader range of skills than before. I questioned the validity of some of the game categories initially but my weaker categories overlap with identified weaknesses in reality. I’ve recommended Peak to lots of friends. Really enjoyable and the structure forces me to move beyond what I enjoy and can do easily..Version: 4.11

Excellente Brain/Game appI’ve been using the paid version for a year, and I find I still thoroughly enjoy it. It is well designed, and the large range of games makes it entertaining, even after a year. There are always some games we’re better at doing than others, but I feel even the ones I struggle with ( Languages, English being not my first language) I sometime manage to get much better score, and it is very rewarding and a great incitation to keep trying. I used for a while Lumosity, and that app became rather quickly boring at time, partly because it was very difficult to see any improvement in the games I either didn’t like, or was struggling to do well. Well done, Peak, I’ll keep my yearly subscription!.Version: 5.8

I guess everyone is a geniusWell everyone in my age group is a genius according to my brain map. The main thing that bothers me with this app is the opaque way you are scored in each category. My overall percentile is 61 percent, in language I’m at 85 memory I’m at 80. But in every other category well. 99 percent of the population is better at problem solving than I am I guess. No matter how much my scores improve in these categories, the percentile never moves which is irksome to say the least. What else bothers me? I absolutely hate the vibration when I get an incorrect answer, it totally throws me off track. I also despise a few games, happy river, is just really stupid and jump control could easily cause carpal tunnel syndrome. Despite these grievances, all in all, it seems to be a more productive distraction than say, candy crush, and some games are really enjoyable. Pixel logic is my absolute favorite. I’m still uncertain as to whether ones mental faculties are actually expanded by playing these games. I’m fairly certain the juries still out on that one..Version: 4.18.1

It’s pretty goodYup.Version: 4.3

Very goodIt is such a good it really helps me it is awesome ✨💎💕👍🌈👏😍🦊.Version: 5.11.3

AmazingReally beautiful and easy to use. Highly recommend!!.Version: 4.4

👍❤️😍🤩✨This app is so good! I was looking for a brain training app that was free and you could sign up for free. I found it. I do not pay the full price and I don’t get the full version but the quality this app has given me just how it is without paying is amazing. The one problem is that I wanted to use the message app to challenge my friend. Once I had done the mini game it said to take a selfie to finish it off. So I did, but I could not see a send or ok button. I soon found out it was behind all the other message apps down the bottom. So please fix this. Otherwise this is a brilliant app!!.Version: 4.7

Random thoughtsI paid the money for unlimited games and it is so worth it! Love that I can pick and choose games easily using the Games. I’d really love to be able to go back and review a game when I am having difficulty...is there a way to show an instant replay? Sometimes I simply don’t understand why I was marked wrong and would like to see it. (Example...spin cycle) Some of the games that are supposedly for memory are not, they really call for staring at the screen until it disappears and recreating what your retina shows you. This is not really memory. (Examples...Perilous Path, Memory Sweep, Bounce, Tracker). And finally, some games would benefit from some randomizing. In Connect Em Up it would be nice to play second sometimes. And in Flight Path, it would be nice to have the bonus color on the upper left hand sometimes, rather than always on the right..Version: 5.22.2

Wait till promo pricing before buying full versionGreat once ads are out of way, I purchased at 40% discount so not bad overall.Version: 5.12

FunI can train my brain and also have fun :).Version: 4.25

Has potentialI, like many others, am not prepared to pay for the pro version at this stage of trying out the app. It has a good format and the games are fun, but only a couple of minutes? It doesn't even give you the full cycle of training areas selected in a training session. It needs to offer more on the free version...so that I might get suitably attached to the app where i am prepared to part with my money..Version: 4.7

Good but needs new gamesI purchased this on one of the special deals they occasionally do some time ago. On the positive side, it’s enjoyable and challenging and it’s always a good feeling when you get see that you’re in the ‘X’ percentile of your age range in smartness! However, although there are over 40 games, I honestly can’t remember a new one being added for a long time now. There are also some games, that don’t add to your score , and are pushed as optional purchases, that are regularly appear in your day games list. It’s always the same type of memory game and it bores me senseless, though I’d probably have more time for it if it added to my score..Version: 5.20.0

Awesome, but one suggestion ...Awesome functionality and design - I have been using for a few years now and have seen improvements in my maths and mental agility in particular! The game ‘happy river’ is absolutely the worst though, it is not enjoyable or beneficial - if the mechanics and design of the game were less clunky maybe it would at least not be irritating to play! Still 5 starts despite this minor thing however. I would also love to see a kind of ‘zen mode’ for games, where we could play the games without the time limits and in a way that doesn’t affect the peak brain score. I especially find the maths games beneficial and unique but would love to play and practice them for longer than a minute at a time, and in a way that doesn’t affect my peak score when I do a little poorly!.Version: 5.18.1

StatisticsLOVE the games and the type of training they give my brain, BUT my statistics as an individual seem to be 'up a creek' I cannot figure out why my husband can get much lower scores than me can leap forward in Overall Brain Score points while I go up one, down one, up one, down one, or stay stationary, even though I am getting Highest Scores in my personal stats. Crazy!! Have questioned Peak people about this and all they came back with was stats about COMPARISONs with everyone else who plays. I am only interested in comparing my own stats from day to day, to see if I am getting better, and higher Brain Scores. I totally enjoy the games, but find the Personal Stats FRUSTRATING!! I have even updated to a new ipad - NO BETTER!!.Version: 4.33

Fix the video ads on iPhone pleaseW should start by saying I use the free version of this app. This app is alright to kind of keep on top of your mental but sometimes I do pretty poorly the first go around and I’d like to redo a game of the day. The have an option for that in the free version of you watch a video. That’s the only time I’ve seen them push ads on you besides telling you to upgrade every time you play the game. I’m fine with that. What I’m not fine with is watching the ad and not being able to exit out of the ad after it’s finished. I can’t even download the app they are advertising from the ad screen. It just gets stuck and doesn’t let you redo the mini game even if you restart :/ Other than that it’s a fun little way to fill some extra time on your hands and it’s not that addicting. Also, some of the mini game instructions can be vague. TL:DR Free version doesn’t let you redo games even after watch the ad and instructions for some games could be more clear.Version: 4.35

Brilliant responseI wrote a negative review and also communicated directly with Peak. Communication fantastic kept me informed PLUS problems rectified- thank you from a happy player.Version: 5.11.2

Very enjoyable appThere’s a whole raft of brain training games and puzzles to enjoy in this app, I have been playing it for a few years now for fun, a “workout” (enjoyable skive) most days. It can be quite addictive trying to beat your high scores and your overall score which the app then rates against other players in your age group. They do keep developing it and it’s worth buying the full version IMHO. As you approach your peak which might take a few years if you’re me you end up on higher levels of difficulty which can be quite tough and my only criticism is that I can’t seem to go back and start from scratch. I love this app !.Version: 5.18

Love the game but...I really enjoy this game and play every day. I have the pro version and read and understood what I was doing when I paid for the year. The only thing I have found that is a little irksome to me is the babble bots game. At the end of the game there is a list of words that show up that could have been made with the available letters. However, when you click on the definition look up button for the definition of a particular unknown word there is no definition available. It appears that this particular game just makes up words that are not actually words. I have a large vocabulary so am naturally inquisitive when I run across a word that I don’t know. To have nonsense words as part of this game is quite disappointing. I have also looked up these words on my own and have found no definition for them. Please update this game to make actual words. Thanks..Version: 4.35

Amazing brain-training appUPDATE: The bug is fixed and the app runs smoothly now!! Thank you developers for taking our complaints into consideration. I’ll still prefer if you reduce the number of ads in the app and unlock just a few more games for free, but those are relatively minor issues. Original review: I used to love this app for its high-quality content. The games are fun, engaging and helpful, and I looked forward to playing everyday. Even though the in-app purchases and constant ads were annoying, I could bear them because it was still worth it. But now... when I open the app, the “loading” spinning circle just goes on and on and I can’t do anything. I’ve tried refreshing, closing the app and going back again, etc. but nothing works. It’s literally just loading forever. I’ve noticed the other reviews also mention this and really hope it gets fixed, because the games are incredible. If it doesn’t, though, I’ll have no choice but to delete, since there’s no point having a useless app on my phone..Version: 5.11.2

LOVEI love this app, I’ve been playing it on and off for about a year and feel really good about my progress. It’s easy to do in the morning as a warm-up or before bed to give you a productive feel to stretch your mind. My very few concerns come from lots of experience and are very minor in comparison to how wonderful the app is. I do pay for the full access and I don’t regret it for a moment. I wish there were more emotion and coordination games in comparison to the other sections. I also really struggle with the Jump Control game as the way your fingers need to be placed is awkward and it actually hurts my arm to try to play it. It also is nearly impossible to complete the Perfect Jump reward as the game often has the ball go automatically where I have no control over and hit a bumper. Thanks for all your work on the app! It’s wonderful!.Version: 4.35

Love this appI have been playing peak for bout a year and have been on the pro plan for bout 9 months I love the games and workouts I love being able to track my progress I enjoy the variety of games and find I push myself to beat my previous scores and find the layout and features easy to navigate and use my only suggestion to improve it would be I would like to be able to see the improvements I’ve made over time to be able to be seen on the brain map in the same way You can compare your Brain map to ages or professions I think that Would be a great feature as it makes a better visual impact than the graph lines other Than that thank you for my daily brain workouts peak keep up the good work.Version: 5.0

Great morning brain workout!Every morning when I wake up I jumped straight on my phone and go through Instagram and Facebook like it’s my morning paper, just to wake my self up. Now instead of stimulating my brain with pointless social media, I’m now stimulating my cognitive function and beginning my day right with Peak! Fantastic app and I recommend it for everyone!! Only takes 10-15mins of you day to really give your brain a good workout!.Version: 4.23.1

Stellar app, questionable gamesThis app is thoroughly beneficial and most of the games are useful. However, there are some which are simply crap. - Word pairs, half the time the words do not correspond to one another or I come across some which simply do not make sense in the context - Word path, what is that? You have to make certain words but can't deselect letters once they're on the board! Half the words aren't even proper words and you fail the game totally instead of getting a partial score. - Some games like flight path or castle block are just too long winded. If you don't know where to begin with castle block then hints should be given after a while. Just puts me off from playing them. - Why are there only 2 Coordinator games? Seems daft that my brain score is apparently so accurate yet this is based on 2 coordination games versus 6 of the others. Not so comprehensively precise then...? Overall this is a good app - but it is flawed because of its own limits or improvements that shouldn't even exist. Makes it still only second to Elevate..Version: 4.8.1

A good appI have been using Peak for at least two years maybe even three and it has been great for me to wake up in the morning and complete the session. Until now I have found nothing wrong, the only problem I have is the adverts. Peak used to be advert free which was very good as all the other apps I had were full of ads but now I have to watch a 30sec ad before each game and if I want to restart a game. I can’t get peak pro as I’m not made of money and all I want is for there to be no ads (I’m not too bothered about getting all the games) Also, I don’t have much time in the morning to play Peak so the adverts are taking up more time then I have. Apart from that I love Peak!.Version: 5.6.2

Would be 5 if I didn’t keep losing my streakThis morning I lost my streak again even though yesterday I made sure it saved to the cloud. This is so annoying and my only recurring problem with Peak. Apart from this I love the app. It’s one of the more consistent apps I go on. There are some games I try to avoid because of how hard they are to me personally but I’ve had this app for around 2 years, paid for it last year and over the last couple months I’ve made sure to squeeze out my pounds and I can see the benefits, especially in my reaction time (mental agility). As someone who is a bit clumsy things drop a lot around me. Now, I can catch them mid-drop and that’s so satisfying. I also paid for the sports cognitive training and I have seen effects in the way I survey the floor when playing basketball. A great app! But please give me back my 9 day streak😭.Version: 4.33

Season greetings, and thank you very much.I have done my 300 days of training, and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. Good variety, stimulating, with virtual incentives and encouraging messages, the game is a pleasure, as well as a useful tool to sharpen your brain. There are minor problems, sometime it freezes, or two letters counted as a whole word in Zen when you trying to continue building it to 5 letters...well, nobody is perfect. I have one suggestion to make: once a new game is played , say, 10 times, or 20 times if you prefer, it should automatically start counting to one’s score. It does not seem right that I have already achieved a legend status in Zen, but the game still does not affect my score. It sort if works as a disincentive, forcing me to choose shorter words at the moment, so there will be some room for improvement, when the game starts affecting my score. Merry Christmas and a happy New Year to you all..Version: 5.6.2

Word-A-like violent wordsI really like peak but recently I’ve noticed the words in word-a-like are getting increasingly more violent. Every time I play - knife, guns, blood, die, hurt, stab, cut, shoot appear. I could not find a way to contact the developer except on here. I think the algorithm needs changing. I live in an area that has seen knife crime rise and the news is constantly showing gun violence in America. I really don’t want to train my brain and see these words and the words associated with them. Please change this. There are millions of words, we don’t need the ones above in the games..Version: 5.33.0

Great WorkoutI’m off in my school holidays at the moment and doing this workout every morning wakes my brain up and it really gets me thinking!.Version: 4.25

Great for strengthening memory and coordination! After having ptsd for quite some time it’s incurred some memory loss issues and coordination, peak has been awesome with combatting my problem areas and helping me keep on top of this daily! I love it so much and it’s definitely worth buying the subscription to see your progress over the year!.Version: 4.33

A thank you to the developer(s)As part of my therapy I was introduced to ‘Lumosity’ to help with speech & such after suffering a stroke at 33 years old a year ago. I decided on my own to check out similar apps and literally tried all of them that I could find. Peak is the only one I kept & I’ve used it for about 6 months or so almost on a daily basis. I have therapy twice a week but since using this extraordinary app I can tell a very big difference in not only my speech, but the choice of my words, my ability to recall events, remembering how to do every day tasks... & thanks to these improvements in my life I feel that I’ve sort of gained back part of the confidence that I lost with the stroke. So with tears in my eyes as I type this (lol) THANK YOU, whoever you are for having the idea that an app might be able to improve someone’s life. Because it did. Mine..Version: 5.19.0

Wow just wow 🤩I don’t even know where to start! Peak is an amazing app that encourages u to train ur brain in a quick and easy way. The game are really enjoyable and i love keeping my streak by completing my workout every day. As well as ur daily workout, peak comes with many other workouts that are really easy but at the same time make a big difference. Not a while ago I got peak pro and i have to say it’s made the experience even better; it gives you more games and other things like that. If you are looking for an easy app that makes a big difference I would definitely recommend downloading peak trust me u won’t regret it 😉 Thank you for reading my review 🙏☺️.Version: 5.19.0

PeakI figure if I am going to play games anyways— I may as well play games that will make me feel smarter 😉 I love the variety and the fact that it starts out east and gets harder as your skills increase.Version: 5.31.1

More games please!I really love the app thought I wish we could have more coordination games. 2 is not enough. Also hoping we can have an option to pick the skills we want to focus on..Version: 4.10

PEAK rewardsAs a person who just turned 70 I find PEAK helps to keep me mentally challenged. The games are designed so that they are both fun and mentally stimulating too. We all need to keep our brains focused and sharp..Version: 5.31.0

A.W.E.S.O.M.E.I love this app and over the last few days after I bought pro, I noticed it has actually boosted my learning. Because I am doing soon a huge test that will affect my schooling, my parents are expecting me to be quite smart. I know they spend probably thousands each term, but now, I can see the difference ever since I got this wonderful app. I don’t know how u do it. I mean, all the games don’t seem to be educational... but still, it has boosted my education so thank you soooooooooooö much. However, I do have my concerns. When I was using the free version of peak, i went into the games section but all of the games were locked, due to pro. Later, I convinced my parents to buy a lifetime subscription. Luckily, it was Black Friday so I got a GREAT discount. But still, I know how harsh the games supply for free subscription is so please give all the free people more games to play. Honestly, I still think this app is the best app on the App Store for every year, so thanksśśšš.Version: 5.5

Peak-ishThe best brain-training app currently available on the App Store. These are an almost addictive series of games that are both fun to play and easy to understand. The interface is smooth and user-friendly, while the statistics and performance analysis is also great. My only problem is that I cannot access the Pro content, despite having purchased it (and received a confirmation email from Apple, and being able to view the subscription on the “my subscriptions section of the App Store). I have tried restarting the app and my device, re-downloading the Peak app, and have also attempted to resubscribe to the 1 year Pro plan, but none of these have worked. I have messaged PeakLabs several times to ask for support, but at the time of writing, have yet had no reply. A fantastic app but...is there anyone there please?.Version: 4.3

IrritatedI’m not going to lie, the game is super fun to tease your brain and allows you to do something actually more productive than scrolling fake news. But the customer service is a little crooked, I subscribed for a monthly subscription then I got this error saying only one Peak account can be associated with one Apple ID/ credit card method, well I did subscribe for a different account before so it makes sense (though it bugs me a little that they should have warned the customer before they charged them and alerted only afterwards) I logged in the other account to check and the Pro version wasn’t there either so I had to contact them. In the response they said they hung both accounts in idle because they didn’t know which one to officially put into the system, when my email came they put the Pro version into the old account (it bugs me for a second time because even though they solved my problem, they should had asked me which account I would like to make as a primary). I want the new account to be my primary so I ask them maybe, just maybe if they can change it, I would totally understand if they cannot, I just want an answer. Now I’m really irritated that my email went unanswered for days (the other email was answered within hours, so they possibly had to have read this one too). I did not demand to have my account changed. I just ask if they could do it, why do they have to avoid giving an answer?.Version: 4.15

Great! This is a great way to enhance your knowledge, coordination and mental agility. They way they designed the brain training into fun games makes this even better. The brain maps are easy to read and ts great to be able to compare you brain map against other averages which they have a wide variety of..Version: 3.10

Not so SureOne of the games definitely showed incorrect conclusions about my answers. Also, when I tapped three stars to rate this game, it switched it to five! Definitely something wrong there..Version: 5.32.1

A M A Z I N GPeak has improved my speed, my problem solving skills, my memory skills, my language skills and many, many, MANY other things. It has workouts which are great if you want to let Peak chose mini games for you, depending on the category,eg: coffee break (three mini games),endurance (eight mini games), a few six or seven on others. You can also chose what kind of mini games in other workouts: problem solving, memory, mental agility, coordination, etc. If your in the mood for something calming, Peak offers puzzles, a little game called Laze (which is basically your avatar exploring a imaginative world), and Deep Listening (you can guess what it is by the name). When your finished, you can go ahead and check your brain score and see how you’ve improved and what you need to work on. You can also compare your brain score to an average of a certain age, 80 yr old, 60 yr old, 15 yr old, your choice! My favourite thing about Peak is that they say comments about you in such a way that they sound like a real person. I’ve loved Peak and I hope you enjoy the experience of it too!.Version: 4.31.1

Well worth the timeThis app is great for keeping the grey matter functioning nicely, and just 15 mins or so a day on a regular basis is all you really need to get some value from this. Both my partner and I use this and find it helps to improve our mental agility in areas where we have weaknesses, which in my case is related to working quickly with numbers and problem solving. To get the most from this app, you really need to subscribe to the Pro option, but if you’ve not used it before and want to give it a try first before committing to ££, then the free version will give you a good idea of what you can get out of this type of brain training..Version: 4.28.4

Good appI’m a premium member and I can say it is a fun, insightful and interesting app. I don’t know how much it is you actually improving your cognition and how much of it is memorizing the games, but it seems to be working. I’ve noticed that I’m more focused and mentally aware in my day to day life. As always, I feel the need of new games, especially for areas where there are only 2-3 games as it can get really repetitive, not to mention the inaccuracy in the final score. Some games, especially castle block and slider, sometimes feel like they have no correct solution with the given pieces. Perhaps I am just too dumb... either way, a hint feature would be nice to get me on the correct path..Version: 4.18

Was good but .......Have been playing for four years no issues apart from playing against “those that can afford to” not realistic. Now I am unable to play on either iPhone or iPad keep getting a white box with black circle going round and round and round....... deleted both turned both machines off nothing - lights are on no one home 😢.Version: 5.11.1

Punished for Ranking Up?This game has been a pleasure for me for few years now. There’s many fun games that keep me entertained on my journeys or when I’m at home. As I’ve started to maintain daily streaks and aimed to increase my rank on all games I noticed some annoying trends. The problem solving games are (mostly) ridiculously hard to rank up in! “Earth Defense”is heavily dependant on RNG; those meteors sometimes guarantee an end to any hopes of a perfect game. The “Save The World 2” badge is a nice idea but it’s mostly luck than skill. “Tap Trap” is a game that punishes you for ranking up. As you get to the higher ranks, it’s impossible to play a single game without an incorrect tap. Hence, you can never reach the highest rank in this game when you’re required to play perfect games (at those high ranks). 50 games without hitting an incorrect card at Grand Master is truly unrealistic! This app is great overall, my main criticism is tweaking those games which punish player progression. It should not feel impossible or be incredibly unlikely for a player to progress in game regardless of their skill level..Version: 5.30.0

Some games are great, but the data is thoroughly dilutedTo put it simply: the best games in Peak are some of the most dynamic, brain-stretching and FUN games I’ve played in any brain trainer. Low-Pop, Pixel Logic, Tunnel Trance, Rush Back and Rush Back+ are some of my favorites. On the other hand, some of the games make little to no sense for their category and are limited by whichever hand you get with the game’s procedural generation whenever you launch. I’m talking about games like Happy River which rely thoroughly on RNG to generate a landscape where your luck can completely change the opportunities you have to score higher or lower, which have 0 business dictating the average score for something like “Emotion”. Games like Word-A-Like ask for very specific word combinations (which you’ll memorize with repetition anyhow) and yet that game affects your “Language” category. With Peak, you’re definitely giving your brain a workout, but take your recorded peak score with a grain of salt!.Version: 4.7

Thank you Peak!Wow... I’m so glad I found this app. I was in a bad car accident a year and a half ago and my brain got seriously smashed up. As a result my memory (mostly short term) and math skills disappeared. I’ve been using Peak for about 2 months and I see significant changes in my memory abilities. Just a few weeks ago I was still telling any new person I talked to that I might lose my train of thought and I always felt self-conscious about my memory skills because it was so apparent when you spoke with me that they still hadn’t recovered. And just yesterday I realized that I haven’t had to excuse my poor memory to anyone lately, and in fact I go days where I don’t remember it’s an issue (not because my memory is bad but because it’s no longer such a problem!). And because of this app I actually learned that my math skills disappeared. I always just thought my mind was being lazy but when I saw it first hand how hard it was for me to do simple math on this app I saw the problem. It was really troubling and embarrassing when I realized - I used to be good at math - but I’ve been slowly getting better. So essentially this app has been my brain rehab! And I couldn’t be more happy about my progress! Thank you!!!.Version: 4.32

On est vieux mais ça fait rienMon mari et moi jouons à Peak à tous les jours en fin d,après midi. On se pratique à ne pas vieillir trop vite. On adore ce jeu et nous l'avons proposé à plusieurs personnes..Version: 5.32.1

FantasticGreat games , great daily workout for the brain.Version: 5.30.0

Memory Improved DrasticallyThis is as honest a review as you’re going to get. I was very annoyed with Peak at first because there was an issue with me subscribing and I ended up getting charged twice. I was eventually able to get a refund on one of the charges and ended up with a lifetime subscription so I said whatever, might as well make good use of it since I paid for it. I’m actually kind of glad that I got the subscription because I’ve noticed that where I used to have memory problems, my memory has gotten significantly better. I also find that I am able to verbalize more eloquently than before and that my math skills have improved as well and I can be more focused on tasks than I used to. I feel that this game is definitely worth subscribing to in order to avoid the ads which I see a lot of people are complaining about. It’s the exercise your brain needs and it’s not a task that you hate doing. The games make it easy to commit to playing them every single day and providing a workout for your brain. I would definitely recommend getting the app..Version: 5.27.0

Only game I playI enjoyed the daily workouts so much that I upgraded to pro so I can have access to my favorites. I play it every day and I can feel myself getting better and sharper. Language games are my fav, wish there were more. Definitely worth it..Version: 4.34

Looks great but needs a few key additions.I have 4 kids and I was very attracted to this app for all the training possibilities for my kids, but they are small, and although the app is from 4+ there is no way to select a game without having to enter each one and selecting how to play, it would be great to categorize the games by age as well. Another important feature and a big reason why I’m not planning on buying until there is flexibility on this account is that there is no way to create another profile or user under the same account, even with the family plan, and for somebody with small kids is practically useless since they don’t have a separate device, let alone email address with a valid peak account. This game has great workouts, but I really think that with these changes it could be amazing for aiding in developing skills on the whole family. Hope you consider them at least! Thanks!.Version: 4.26

Best app for TBI’s and brain injuriesAs a disabled Navy Vet, this app has helped me so much! It makes my rehabilitation so much fun, I forget I’m actually relearning to use my brain! You all have not only helped me with my rehab, you’ve helped boost my confidence! I only wish there were some study material or practice games that help with the math that I’ve forgotten. It would also help a lot if you listed why answers were incorrect. Other than that, I’m not sure you realize how many military vets this app helps! I tell everyone in my group about your app! Plus, I can share my results with my doctor to show how much I’ve improved! I LOVE THIS APP! If you do read this, I hope you take my suggestions into consideration. I also hope you know what an amazing app you created for people like me! Thank you!.Version: 5.17.1

Best app of its kind that I’ve come acrossI downloaded two or three of the highest ranking brain-training apps for a week or two because I feel as though my attention span hasn’t been the best lately, and Peak is the only one that’s still on my phone. I genuinely look forward to the snappy, engaging workouts each day, and they’ve become an enjoyable part of my daily routine. What sets this app apart from competitors is that it allows non-paying users to track their progress in much more detail, by showing you % improvements in each sector each day, as well as letting you compare your brain map to different age groups. Love that! I will say though, that the type of games I receive each day is quite skewed. I NEVER get any Emotion games, and Coordination and Problem-Solving ones are also few and far in between. If this were to be fixed, I’d definitely amend this review to add another star. All in all, I’ll be recommending this to my friends and family..Version: 4.35

Great app! This app is the best thing I have ever downloaded to my device! I use it every day and it really does help improve the way I think.( My grades have improved ever since I have started using this app). The only thing I I think could use improvement would be the ads you run on the app. After watching an ad so I could play an extra game for free the app froze and would not let me play the game. This was frustrating, but as this seems to be a new addition to the app I completely understand. It would be nice to fix this glitch as soon as possible so that I can continue using your awesome app! Also, if possible it would be nice if you could add to your extensive inventory of games for the free version of the app. The games on the free version get boring after a while... Overall thank you so much more making this app! I will continue using it and recommending it to everyone for as long as I live!😊.Version: 4.31

Ok but…Far too many ads. I seemed to spend more time waiting for the ads to finish than actually playing the games. Such a shame. Anyway, I’ve had enough so I am deleting this app now..Version: 5.31.1

Love the app, however there’s a big problemEdit: Feb 18th. They fixed it and it’s working now it took about 48hrs to get it handled and that’s pretty good. Thank you. Last year I used the app a lot and it was a great experience. A few weeks ago I had to get a new phone (my old one simple died) and some of my apps were not backed up. Fine, I re downloaded Peak and went into the monthly Pro option ($4.99) and paid. I only paid by month as unfortunately some times I can’t be on my phone due to my work so I don’t pay for the year one. My card was charged. But the Pro option is still not available for me even after 3 days. It’s a bummer really. I already wrote an email with the instructions etc and haven’t been able to get it to work and didn’t receive any response back except an automated email (from the App manufacturing) and I also wrote to iTunes. And .... NADA. I would like for this to be fixed as I could be using the app, I paid for it and still can access to Pro..Version: 5.8

Great fun while your brain gets sharperNearly completed my streak to 300. The games are varied and range in skill level. I still can’t get my head around some of them where others suit my speed of thought and fingers. My score has risen progressively in all categories some much better than others. I have one complaint: I have the app on both my iPhone and iPad and mostly use the pad. However although my score is the same on both my individual games don’t seem to update between the two. So I can no longer is my iPhone to play. Is there something that can be done so the progress is reflected between the two!.Version: 5.16.1

Brilliant - My FavouriteThis has to be the most well-designed brain training app. I have used apps such as Lumosity and Memorado but they just don’t compare in terms of usability and looks. The progress tracking is detailed and let’s you see progress for every game, not just the category. (Although pro features make progress tracking a lot better, they are still pretty good for a free app) The summary after you finish playing a game is probably my favourite feature. It allows you to quickly check your progress and how it compares to others who have played that game. I love all of the achievements that you are awarded after you beat a high score or complete a game a certain amount of times. They are fun and actually quite motivating! All in all, if your looking for the best brain training app with a variety of interesting games as well as sleek and beautiful design, you’re in the right spot..Version: 4.19.2

Very challenging…After trying and paying for other brain sites, and tired of the fees that I did think were warranted I found this site. The games were more than comparable and instead of sucking your money out of you with no relief year after year, this app offers a lifetime purchase. I immediately took advantage of the offer. This is a premium brain game site for stimulating you and pushing you to use your brain in many different ways. You can replay games as many times as you like while trying to up your score or play others. There’s a huge selection to choose from so you never get bored, and so many ways to stimulate your - focus, verbally, visually, and more. I highly recommend this game. Invest in the lifetime for a cost effective and money well spent app..Version: 5.29.0

Limited but funIt’s probably better that I don’t upgrade to pro (monthly subscription) as I wouldn’t know when to stop playing ever. It’s good to have some limited time on brain exercises after breakfast..Version: 4.23.1

Really good I recommendI saw this on an ad and I just wanted to try it out. It is really good and there are things that can be improved that I didn’t think could even be improved. An example is emotions. I’m at student that struggles with concentration with certain thing so I made one of the goals to help my attention, and it works. It’s really good because the exercises that they get you to do seem like games. One of the things that should be improved though is that we should be able to play other games when we want and not have to pay for it. The thing that confuses me about that is that we have to pay to stay longer on the app. But it is extremely good if you want to improve yourself.Version: 4.37

It's so gooooood😁!!I love the app, I can play games which are not just entertaining but study you to show you your skills and how good you can be at them! It was surprising to also find out I can compare my "brainmap" to ages and even professions, plus where and what I could improve in and at😂 I don't pay for the full version but it is still excellent 😁.Version: 4.8.1

Great app, a few bugsJust upgraded to pro but now the instructions screen for the games isn’t working properly, would give 5 stars if this didn’t happen.Version: 4.9

AMAZING😄😄😄🥳😄😄😄I love this game! It has helped me improve on my focus and many other things. I really do like this game and I think it is great to train your brain in the summer before you go back to school so you can remember more. There is only 1 thing that I wish Peak would not do, that is make a limit on how many training games you can play a day and how many times you can play them. I wish they wouldn’t do that because I want to keep playing Peak, not only once a day but more than that, you have to pay money to get to play more training games as more than once. Other than that it’s AMAZING 😄. There is one suggestion that I would like to make and that is that you can play Peak more than once a day and that you can play a certain game over again without paying. Peak has helped me with many things. Thank you, Lily😄.Version: 4.36

WOW GET THIS APP RIGHT NOW 🤩This app is super fun. I enjoy the daily workouts! It’s really good for training my brain and other things. The only thing I’d change is the fact you can’t do it over and over again. So, I can only have one workout per day, as I don’t have pro, which is a sort of thing like premium. I’d only like one thing to be changed as I said earlier. CONSTANT WORKOUTS!! Other than that, super good game and I highly recommended it. Thanks for reading!!.Version: 5.3

Yip, good!Tried a few of these brain games.. this seems like the best.Version: 4.15

MIND BLOWING!!!!!I think what really pushes people away from this app is the subscription which do very depending if there’s a sell going on. I upgraded to pro and am now paying 1.37 a month and don’t mind that price. There are issues here and there (LIKE EVERY APP) because nothing in this world is perfect. But I gotta give it to the developers. These games work. You’re giving your brain a daily workout which will help you throughout your day and your future. I think it’s worth the monthly subscription for me. Because I can’t remember the last time my brain got a workout like this. And you instantly feel the difference after playing and that’s MIND BLOWING! I feel if people give the game a chance, pay for the subscription, if it’s worth it for you (If money does play a roll I would wait for some sell), keep writing reviews to help the developer fix the few issues the app DOES HAVE, maybe the developer will listen to the fan base and make the right improvements and the app will become even better than it already is. All I’m saying is that the Human brain is a STATE OF THE ART WEAPON. Why not keep it sharp and active in all areas. Help the app grow. I know I will..Version: 4.9

Great except...So I love just about everything about this app. It's fun and I feel like I really am training my brain. However, my only complaint about this app (so far) is that it does not have enough information. For example, on the game called Grow you're supposed to create as many words as possible out of just a few letters, the bigger the better. One of my groups of letters was "mas" so immediately the biggest word I could think of was Massachusetts. Awesome for points right? No. The game kept telling me it wasn't a word, so I wasted time spelling it differently thinking I might be spelling it wrong, which caused me to get a low score. I spelled it correctly. I checked. It's frustrating because I cant replay the game (without paying) and I really do want to know my progress. This issue occurred with more than just this word. How can I learn when the game might not be as knowledgeable about certain things as I am?.Version: 4.4

Must say, a “have for everyone”app ♥️Being someone who who works in human, behavioural science and in cognitive behavioural therapy (H-CBT), I believe I’m more than qualified to say that this app really would flavour this world if everyone had it on their mobile and practised it once a day for 15 minutes also top. That’s win this world would be such a better world with much more wise people acting with wisdom rather then the old model..Version: 4.9

Generally good but there are some clunky mistakesIn general the program is good and has great activities for brain training and for me I use it to get my brain in gear for a days work. However there are some areas that need to be resolved. The controls for the river crossing activity are terrible and in no way intuitive. Moreover many of the “opposite meaning” words in the cloud activity are by no means opposite for example certainly is not the opposite of probably sure they are related but have different meaning, however they are not opposites. The opposite of probably is improbably etc. Finally if they are going to include a hand eye co-ordination section for the brain training 2 activities are not sufficient..Version: 4.28.4

Love itI enjoy these brain training apps but was reluctant to spend the money on the full version. I tried the free version of Peak for a while after testing a few of the other offerings and when a deal for the full version came up I grabbed it. I haven’t regretted the expenditure once. I love the bite sized tailored game sets and the ability to go back and try and master the more challenging games. And on stressful days, I like playing the ones I’m good at. Games are never boring and there’s plenty of variety..Version: 4.35

Entertaining....butI bought this recently and it's very entertaining. I particularly enjoy the word games, and having done well on wordfresh, a highly diverting game, decided to self challenge by imposing redtrictions to words of a minimum if four letters. It was then I started to notice more that things seemed a little amiss. Very legitimate words ( not including the words that I understand are censored) are not accepted. While words that perhaps should be censored ( if there is going to be censorship ) are accepted, some racial slurs for example are okay but ’lede’ as in ’bury the lede’ is not okay. gods are accepted, satan is not. I will not write out the racial slurs and profanities I tried. I have slowed right down to try words like ’lede’ - normal, acceptable and command use words. It was not accepted. I’m more than happy to play a PG tool for teasing my mind into activity. But I would like dome consistency! If ts not a slur, profane or ’adult ’ can we have the words in the dictionary included please?.Version: 4.30

Fantastic NeuroplasticGreat games that are challenging, unique, fresh and seemingly always more being made. I like how it lets you know how you measure to others at the rank you are at, shows your progress yearly, monthly, weekly, daily and how you have measured during the game session if you replay, which creates a personal challenge to beat your previous scores, increasing the targeted brain/neuro skill. A major bonus is that there are some games developed by doctoral level researchers that help further develop data, that give you access to their published literature and research articles, to learn even more. This app has a free trial, and you will want to continue. Caveat is that it is pretty much unplayable once you have to watch horrible game ads every time you do something; the ones that last forever and you can’t exit out of, probably with some sort of king or person standing in the rain which a pointing arrow that nearly drives someone insane..Version: 5.22

ScoringI really enjoy PEAK but I despair at the inflexible method of achieving legend status. I know my scores are very high, but my overall peak brain score has not, and will not, raise enough to match the criteria. This was not the case in the earlier days, the achievement of legend status was mainly by high scoring in the actual game which is far more appealing. Secondly, the inconsistency of some games is very frustrating. For example with turtle traffic (and the replica Christmas game) one of the criteria for a higher level score is to get two consecutive high scores in a row, however, in some games there are several ‘orbs’ which score high bonus points, whilst in others there are very few, thus making it more about luck than skill. Frustrating. Rant over because I do like PEAK!.Version: 5.6.2

Can't progress at some gamesI've bought pro months ago before achievements were a thing and now it's just impossible to progress to higher level with some games because the basic achievements are really hard to obtain at higher levels of game play. Also I can't progress with Pixel Logic... Even though I end up in 100th percentile I still don't have good enough score to go from Master to higher rank. I've even wrote an email to the support, the guy promised me they would take a look into it but nothing has changed apart from new updates which make it even worse. I'll go back to 5 stars when some of these issues are solved. Also some achievements aren't just calculating at all (e.g. smileys) and for example last level of castle block scorer is literally unachievable since it requires you to score 35k but the maximum sum from all the rounds is 33k. It's like the guys do not even test the game after releasing it. After a long time of playing this game you just notice how some games are acting really weird with the achievements and that it's just not thoroughly thought through..Version: 4.3

Best brain app that I tried, but now I’ve PeakedI got really into doing the workouts and I built up a good streak and score. But I got a bit addicted to a few games and kept playing until I reached new achievements, then it kept building and one of them I even reached the point where I couldn’t get any more. A lot of them I think are less to do with the skills and more to do with chance and just getting to know the game rather than applying the problem solving skills or similar. Good way to keep busy but I’ve burnt myself out now!.Version: 5.13.1

Love thisWow love this! I have memory problems and want to reduce the chances of it getting worse in old age.Version: 4.11

Brain PowerFun, easy to use and you can find those neurons wiring together, a lot cheaper than other brain training apps in the market. Only down side it still seems to have a few bugs. Crashes now and then or sound cuts out, hopefully these will be addressed in coming updates.Version: 0.6

Don't listen to 2 year old Reviews! This is the best all brain-functions trainerThis thing has stuff that really trains me in measurable ways I can improve , in fun format games (not boring training), and they are obviously tailored to different parts of the brain's functions: like motor coordination, brain agility, speech processing, mental association, finding stuff faster, and a ton more. Ignore all those terrible reviews from 2 YEARS ago... why are those even showing up first when they are for an old version of Peak ?? Price is fair, i.i.r.c. its like $3-5/ month, a zillion times better than Netflix. And I get training I need in my 30's to keep me from mental decline!! (You guys should put my Review up first, so that everyone knows how good this app is)..Version: 5.4

Great gameGreat games to pass the time and offers some good challenges and variety. Well designed and thought out. The free version is fairly limited and to get the full experience you’ll need the subscription which is pricy, although the app does offer deals once in a while. I recently got a discounted annual subscription and am enjoying playing without the restrictions of the free version. Main gripe would be that the ranking up process within each game is a hit and miss affair; some of the achievements are either very difficult to achieve (e.g. some required scores on Pixel Logic and Castle Block are incredibly high and achieving perfect accuracy games in True View is very difficult) or just plain tedious to achieve (e.g. playing 50 perfect games of Face to Face at the same level is very dull) meaning you can get stuck on the same level of a game for weeks on end. Overall though it’s a professional, polished and enjoyable brain training game worth the 5 stars..Version: 4.10

Great gamesAs some reviews have complained, it IS sometimes difficult to advance in the games, but I tend to think that is my slowness or lack of aptitude that’s the problem. (I’ve been stuck at novice on Perilous Path for ever, but it doesn’t surprise me with my visual memory) and it must be hard for the developers to keep on coming up with new incentives. I think they do pretty well and after all, it is the fact that you are training your brain with challenging and mostly well thought through games that is important. It is not purely for fun. That is just a bonus. My main complaint is inconsistency in the word games as to what is a proper noun and doesn’t count when sometimes proper nouns DO count, the names of countries, religions, even people. Dan is ok, Dave probably isn’t. Jew is ok. Roman isn’t. Also colloquialisms, slang and new words are applied inconsistently. A bit of an update on the dictionary is needed and some set rules..Version: 5.30.0
