✓ The VERY BEST!!!I’ve tried them all and this is THE VERY BEST mobile App anywhere. In fact, aside from the small form factor, it’s as good or better than the top desktop clients. Yes, there are a few things to nitpick about, but they aren’t worth mentioning. The main challenge is that the learning curve is more than the average user will want to commit to in order to really maximize from what Preside offers. I suppose that’s ok because it is for serious email users, or those who care about great software. If you want the best without compromising your privacy by having your email and other credentials stored on and routed through the developer’s server, get Preside now..Version: 2.6.2
✓ Solid, reliableI was never as opposed to iOS mail as some others— seemed fine to me, even great, for my needs. Except that the ML became so pushy— often electing to break rather than give up on what it had decided I want to see on open: a a blank screen if had deleted the whole thread in a vain attempt to end the game, or else an actually incessant replication of a prominent aspect of my email habits from recent days (in spite of my attemtps to escape them, for example it would follow threads into the trash to fire them up on open), and in general constantly seeking to give me what I no longer wanted. I tried several remedies, including re-installs, log out and ins, & other various ostensibly efficacious reset actions, all to no avail— and eventually found Preside. Haven’t looked back. Glad it all happened, I feel like I can stick with this one. I know this is like a grudge letter to ios mail— but it’s intended more as a background to why the frankness of Preside appeals to me so much. Very good client..Version: 2.8.7

✓ Pro iOS E-Mail App with Top Notch SupportA few years ago, I came to realize that my system for archiving emails, a collection of nested folders that had grown to over 150, was unmanageable. It was taking me 20 to 30 seconds to file each email. After reviewing alternative strategies, I landed on tagging and archiving. This works great for exchange email accounts on the desktop (using categories). However, almost all iOS apps I tried included folders as a feature (but not categories/tags) until I found Preside. Preside handles the simple tagging function well, but takes it to the next level. You can create simple automation with one click that both adds a specific named tag on an email and archives it. I can process dozens and dozens of emails I want in no time flat. I’ve enjoyed the app so much, I decided a year ago to purchase a premium subscription. I renewed for a second year. You get most of the productivity features without the premium subscription, but this is an app I’m wiling to pay for the subscription just to support the developers. ✓ Great Email Client for Managing Multiple Accounts/FoldersPreside rivals my desktop email client with functionality. While it may take some time getting used to using and setting up the settings you need/want, it is definitely worth doing. They also have great support and helped with a minor bug I encountered. ✓ Best email client!I only use email for personal use now (since retiring), but I do have 3 accounts and value organization and personalization in a mail app. I’ve tried several since deciding the native iOS app is too simple and vanilla, including Spark, Gmail, Newton, Outlook, etc. Preside’s flexibility to make it function as I wish is incredible for a free (and ad-free!) app. The menus are intuitive and help articles are clear in case a function needs explaining. ✓ Will do what YOU want with your email. Good subscription ethics. What’s not to like.This is the ONLY email app on the AppStore that allows me to truly tailor it to my needs and desired workflow. Over the years, and I’ve been doing this since the start of smart phones, I’ve tried them all and all the other apps, despite their high ratings on the store, somehow hamstrung me into some sort of kludge that stopped me doing what I really wanted. I simply can’t believe I didn’t spot Preside before, if I had it would have saved so much time and frustration. Complete configurability is it’s forte. Of course there is a learning curve and it will take a little time to understand and configure the options, but I’m sure that if you persist (for me it was about 3 hours fiddling around) and get to know it, you will have your email doing exactly what you want. Well done; fantastic, great, just as apps should be - all substance and function, with no unnecessary concern with the fluff, or imposing a fashionable minimal interface on me or their own social media profile. And, they have the integrity to not force a ridiculously high subscription on me either just to carry on using it after a couple of weeks. What Preside may lack in 'prettiness' is more than made up in sheer power and flexibility. ✓ A comprehensive, complete appI finally gave up on Apple Mail's search capabilities. Time and time again, Apple Mail would return no results for emails I *knew* existed in my archive. Preside gives me the ability to *completely* sync my accounts, store all of my messages locally, and search everything. As of that weren't enough, it is incredibly customizable. Smart folders, button placement, gestures, fine control over list and message view, even colors. It's a weird looking app, but it more than makes up for it in functionality. It allows you to actually incorporate email into your work flow. It’s a little involved to get setup exactly as you like it but well worth the time. ✓ How do use this for years ever since it first came out can’t live without itThe name is absolutely perfect. This program presides over all of my files/folders. As an accountant I have many clients many folders, sub folders, categories. Trying to locate them on an iPad or iPhone takes far too much time. With Preside I just type in the first few letters of the folder and up it will pop. From this program, I can forward my emails, resend them, copy them, access them. I use Preside every day many MANY times. I tell all of my clients and friends and family about this wonderful program. I’ve gotten (& paid for) and used every email client that the App Store has (that’s updated regularly and works on iOS 11). Nothing compares to Preside. No, it’s not “cute” out of the box but if your email is serious to you, this is the serious app you need to manage it. ✓ Solid Email App, Could Be GreatFor years, I've wanted an email app that would download my entire email archive to my iPad and index it all. I had given up on that dream, and then I heard about Preside. That feature works *exactly* as I hoped it would, and its search easily beats every other email app I've tried. (I have over 70,000 emails in my twelve-year archive for the non-profit I work for, all in a plain vanilla IMAP account.) There are a few, small features lacking in this app (robust keyboard shortcuts, better handling of attachments, and automation—either via Shortcuts or a URL scheme), and if those were to be added, it would be a great email app. It's easy to feel overwhelmed by the app on first launch, but all you need to do is take a little bit of time to explore the various settings. They also have a support page on their site that walks you through the options, and I found that very helpful. It took me a few weeks to get the app set up the way I wanted it to be. ✓ Expand & Collapse FoldersAs you can expand & collapse folders in the tree view this makes finding and moving emails to and from folders a doddle which Outlook for iPhone does not do which is just plain daft. When you first install this app it can take some considerable time to load all your emails and folders and learn which email addresses (probably) associate with shiva sub folders. This is brilliant as when you come to move emails that you have read and dealt with the App seems to know which folders you want to move emails to in about 90% of times. So it worth the one off wait at the outset while the App indexes all of your folders. Great free App, I would be happy to pay for an upgrade that changes the look and feel of the App to mirror Outlook but retain the better functionality that the App has over Outlook!.Version: 2.4.12
✓ Wish I knew about this years agoI’m a heavy user of Outlook categories and my mobile mail app has always been a poor experience. The Outlook app doesn’t work with our Exchange server and I just assumed I’d never be properly productive on mobile. Once I started using this, I was waiting for something to not work and it never happened. Everything works. Everything is smooth and with some customisation, everything was exactly as I wanted it. I can’t remember what / if I paid for this but it’s worth it! One note of caution for newbies is that the first few days is a steep learning curve. There are loads of settings and it takes some time to make everything work the way you want it to, which is good to have that level of customisation. It’s not an idiot-proof out of the box experience but with a tiny amount of patience and curiosity you’ll get there..Version: 2.3.14

The after sales service is absolutely superb too. Rich replies promptly to any issues, which are very few. Also listens and welcomes any additional feature requests. I would give this app a SIX STAR if that was available. What can I say, except that I have used this app now for over 4 years or more, and is absolutely a superb app. I have many folders and sub folders on my PC, using Microsoft office exchange in outlook. This is where I save many important emails, but for a long time could not find an app that could offer the same functionality that this app offers. The native iPhone app is useless and does not offer any business functionality that I need. The closest may have been the blackberry phone, and that was a long time ago, with no real alternative option since!! You can access saved emails in folders, sub folders, expand, collapse, and create new folder, and sub folders and save, copy, delete and most of the things you can do with outlook!! WOW!! This is the only app that allows you to easily drag & drop emails between different folders & the only app that has collapsing email folders for multiple email accounts. There are so many features in this app I strongly recommend it for anyone who likes to keep their email very organised from their phone or ipad. It does take a little bit of time for the initial sync, unlike other email apps, there are also a few glitches I experienced though the set up, however I emailed support & they came back to me with an hour or so & the problems were resolved. You can really dial it in to do what you want and how you want. As an email power user (for business, not because I want to be). For me, I have found a feature over the years that is hard to live without and I can’t wait for Preside to consider it: - Delayed Outgoing Messages My previous email app allowed me to customize a 5,10,15 second delay just in case I change my mind about an email I just sent...I can cancel it and it pulls back into my drafts folder to edit. ✓ Worth every pennyI spent hours using Preside. It is perfect tool to manipulate your emails. Machine learning takes away guessing of where you had put your previous emails from same person before. It recognizes context. It is fully customizable. Most importantly, it has a team of dedicated people like Rich who responds very quickly to any tech support or feature request.
