✓ Custom Board BugBe patient when adding custom words. If the green arrow lights up, that means the app has the pronunciation. If not, you have to touch the red circle and add your own. It may also take a couple seconds (like 10-20) after the pronunciation is established because it’s looking for a picture to add to the word. If you press next and it doesn’t go right away, I’ve found that this is the case. Also, some of the pronunciations are actually definitions. So I went back and changed them..Version: 32.6

✓ Key feature I do not likeHaven’t explored deeply or made in-app purchases yet but I probably will not use the app because the letters move every time I choose one. Rather than just staying where they are which would mean I could select the spots ahead of time where the next letter is, they move location which means recalibration of my expectation of where the next letter will be. ✓ 100% recommendedI have been using this for my girls spellings for 2 years now. Both my 8 and 5 year old love it for learning their weekly spelling and most weeks get all their spelling correct. Such a fun way of learning and teaching them keyboard skills at the same time. Lots of colours and different games and so easy to edit to include the spellings they need to learn for the week! My girls actually want to play it to learn their spellings. Have recommended to anyone who wants to learn spellings and not use the boring government guided way of learning!.Version: 32.6

But I was I didn't wanna just jump in and get every other app that statue at the beginning of the ABC. What's nice about this is your tunes so I know what level you're at and work on from there. So I got my son this app, I uploaded "his" spelling words and he studied by himself while having fun with it. ✓ Fun, but UI can sometimes be confusingOverall, I think the app is very much worth downloading. Pros: - The mini-games are simple and a lot of fun. - You can make your own deck (called a 'board') - You get a surprising number of mini-games to play when you build your own deck - Kids love being able to add pictures to go with the words. - The UI is highly customizable - No coins are required - No monthly fee in the base app Cons: - The UI is inconsistent and sometimes confusing on an iPhone (it is better on an iPad). The app really needs to follow Apple iOS design guidelines. - The help matches Bitsboard, which is a different game and doesn't completely match Spelling Bee. - Players do not get much of a visual reward when they get something right, just a green checkmark. How about something that would excite a kid instead of a teacher? :) For example, some fireworks or a cheering animal. --.Version: 32.6
