The elemental suits are artfully referenced in the Minor Arcana. The characters and plot of each fairy tale subtly convey the traditional meaning of the RWS cards.

Each card depicts a different fairy tale with themes related to the Rider Waite tradition. When you click on the full text for that card, you get the full fairy tale story that it's from along with the origin and historical background, as well as nicely descriptive means for interpreting the image depicted. I love the format of The Fool's Dog tarot apps.
