Mocast for Positive User Reviews

Great interfaceThis app does away with a bunch of the unnecessary UI conventions of other podcast apps. The author clearly had the same peeves with those apps as I did -- and I thank him for it!.Version: 1.0

Original and colourfulThis is a nice new podcast app which I find very original and colourful. The premise is that it tries to simplify the "process" of listening to podcasts. I say "process" because if you're someone who listens to a lot of podcasts you probably use a powerful app like the excellent Pocket Casts. But the problem is that one gets so caught up sorting through downloads, new episodes, endless notifications etc that it begins to feel like a massive process after a while. Plus power apps have different playlists and settings which can further complicate things. And I find that they often hide older episodes unless you tap the "more" button to see older ones. Even then they often don't show you all if them in one go. Most podcasts apps also lack search so you can't search for a particular person, topic or theme across various podcasts. You have to go through them manually or know exactly which episode you're looking for. Mocast on the other hand tries to do the opposite: it tries to simplify finding and listening to podcasts and create playlists. There aren't endless settings to manage and you can easily see all podcast episodes available, making it easy to always find something to listen to. And search means that you can search for all podcasts whose shoe notes mention the term you're looking for. Eg if you search for OS X Yosemite all podcasts which have that as a topic in the show description will be listed. Great for when a new iPhone comes out or at WWDC time or if there is a particular person you enjoy hearing. I find this approach unique. And it's a wonderfully colourful app. It loads the artwork behind the podcast, iOS 7 frosted glass style, which makes for gorgeously colourful playlists. As much as I love and respect Pocket Casts as the best power podcasts app which I've used for a long time, I've switched to Mocast in order to simplify my podcast listening and place the emphasis on the joy of listening. Where it should be..Version: 1.0

Renewing my interest in podcastsLove the way mocast works. I love that I can build my own queue of current and back logged episodes and that they stream. It's renewing my interest in all of the great content out there. Looking forward to seeing it improve (the dev seems active in the uservoice forum)..Version: 1.0

Best podcast app I've used so farAn innovative take on a stale genre - this app does things a little differently than most podcast apps, and it definitely works well. Unique and useful controls, a solid organization system, and a beautiful UI that takes full advantage of iOS' graphical chops..Version: 1.0

Design is great and the new version fixes all my gripesLoved the first version of this app. It works how I wanted a podcast app to work. Looks really good. There were just a few issues here and there and iPhone 6 related issues. These all seem to be fixed. So I'm sooo very glad I stuck with it. The developer personally emailed me to work on issues so I knee the support was there and it was only a matter of time until things were perfect and they now are. Good work team Krueger..Version: 1.1

Excellent Podcast AppMocast satisfies most of my podcast manager requirements: Uncluttered controls, easy access to old episodes, and it's lovely to look at. This is an excellent 1.0 release, and I'm looking forward to its development!.Version: 1.0

Finally, My Podcast appI'm willing to fight through the abundant glitches in this first release, because the concept is so brilliant and logical. I really hope the developer builds it out from here. It's just a wonderful idea for a podcast app..Version: 1.0
