✓ Would be 5 stars if it stopped laggingThe audio continues playing but the video freezes. Also I bought a pass and thought I could download for that time period (and lose the download after that time period) but actually you can’t. So I spent $200 just before going on holiday thinking I would download when I had internet and watch when I didn’t. ✓ Offline not working, making this app pointless.I downloaded a whole course. And when I watch it, I found it ate up a lot of my celular data. After turning the celular data off for this app, I can no longer watch the lessons. What’s the point of downloading for offline watching when you need to watch it with celular data turned on and unable to control how much data this App use? ✓ BuggyIt forgets context you’ve paid for. Yesterday it showed both my courses. Today the one I haven’t started is gone! You can’t go back and rewatch. There seems to be a bug that hitting play on a previous segment results in a bit of spinning and a black screen. It does this almost all the time. If it does play it will only be from where you left off... not where you want to rewatch. ✓ Great videos, but app has problemsThe lessons and everything about the company is great. However, for the last few days I haven’t been able to use the app properly. The skip back controls don’t show any more, nor the progress bar. The video stops and starts (because of the terrible Australian internet), but the play becomes so interrupted, that it becomes unwatchable. ✓ Great, but that Apple TV app is 💩💩💩💩💩Creative Live is phenomenal. So many courses, so many topics, and then they went and added yoga! Happy camper here, with only one exception, and that’s a big one. Why only 3 stars, when I’m so incredible happy with the quality and breadth of the content offered? Well, the Apple TV app is phenomenally bad. You can’t access your favorites (I have the All Access pass), you can’t search for classes, and there are only a fraction of available classes displayed in each category, without fail the one class you want to watch is not pictured. Sure, I can AirPlay, but the purpose of having an Apple TV app is not having to do that. ✓ Needs improvementThe app is a good way to watch your classes you’ve bought, however there are some big flaws, which need fixing. If you’ve bought multiple classes, the home/landing screen only shows you 3, if there are others you have to go to a different screen and you can only do that if you have an active data connection. Even if you have downloaded content from the classes. There also seems to be some limit or bug regarding how many lessons you can download. I’ve downloaded a lot of my classes and although they show as being able to be played offline. Many of them don’t without an active data connection. I’ve also had the app crash and it delete all my previously deleted lessons. During playback if you have already watched a lesson in full and want to rewatch it, it may play the particular lesson you select, but when finished it will jump to the next I played lesson and skip any that have already been completed, pretty frustrating. I think the store side also misses opportunities, they could introduce a section for the regular sales it has on, so you can see what’s on offer at any time. You don’t appear to be able to access the class materials via the app, so any PDF’s still have to be accessed through the website. On the plus side the quality of the videos is good. ✓ I like the idea but...Ok so i like the one free class a day thing. It works perfectly for what i want to do. Except one thing. I wish that the free class everyday continued in the course i last focused on the day before. Because id rather be able to finish a basics course, over the span of a week before moving on to the more advanced course. Because some of us want to learn, but dont have the money to pay for every course we want to learn. Seriously one class a day for free is actually perfect. ✓ Caution with App purchasesLove Creative Live courses. I recently purchased a course using the app. I normally do this on their website but did it within the app this time. Well, I was billed twice. Once by Apple and a second time by Creative Live despite ordering this only one time. Apple refuses to address this and I am waiting for Creative Live to respond. ✓ Great lessons, but video playback is poorI love CreativeLive and just bought the creator pass so I can learn to my heart’s extent. I would love to give a 5 star and would but playback on my new iPad Pro is not reliable. Videos look bad and pause. Have gigabit internet and even sitting right next to router video is not good. ✓ Offline videos don’t play and don’t delete!Buggy app! When you download videos that you have purchased to watch offline, there is a 99% that they will not play back. You can’t play that video unless you delete it and stream it. Downloading it again results in the same problem. Worse, there is a bug that stops videos from being really deleted from the device and so it keeps on building up and up in storage until you have to delete the app completely. Then start all over. ✓ Great content, horrible watching experienceThe content and availability of courses is great, it’s my second year with a full pass, but watching the videos on the app is a disaster on anything but a perfect fast connection. The video freezes or you just get a black screen, if it buffers it often jumps back even by minutes so you have to watch that part again (don’t try to skip forward because it will buffer again!) or just gets stuck buffering. Downloading the lessons would be great: you know you have poor connection coming up, you download the next three or four lessons so you can keep on watching. Easy…if it didn’t choose randomly in which order to download the lessons! Never the one you’re on first, so guess what? Less bandwidth because you’re downloading the third lesson down and the one you’re watching starts freezing or buffering! Frustrating to say the least. Guys, there are places outside big cities in the world, and they can have slower connection. Think of that! And for Heaven’s sake, why do I need a connection to watch downloaded content? ✓ Good, but not excellentCreativelive’s website is clean and simple to navigate. It’s great. The app, on the other hand, is kind of infuriating when I can’t get it to work. If I’m able to download 14GB of video to my phone, wouldn’t it make sense that it should be accessible without data or WiFi? Yet, I’m prompted to log in, so the massive amount of data is just sitting locked up in my phone, as useless as the website is when I have no internet access. Another drawback is that within 3-6 minutes into a course video, a dialog box pop up box asks me if I want to share the link to social media. I have yet found out how to turn this off or prevent it from popping up. If I can figure out work arounds for these issues or if CL updates to fix them, I’ll give it 5 Stars. ✓ Works OK… Sometimes.The app crashes a lot more than I would like, and it spontaneously logs me out for no reason two or three times a week. Not sure why this is happening, but it’s really annoying to have to keep entering my email address and password — quadruply annoying because it doesn’t pull from my iPhone’s password autofill database. Come on guys, you can do better than this. Also, one more bit of feedback: it would be nice if it had a 15 second back button instead of 30 seconds, or a setting that would allow users to choose between the two. ✓ Downloads fail or disappear regularlyExtremely frustrating to think a download has synced but go out on a walk and half the downloads won’t play. Then when back on WiFi, trying to work out what has worked and what hasn’t is a nightmare. The played ticks disappear randomly. Sometimes when re downloading the previous downloads disappear which means you can’t rely on anything to cue you on what has played and what has worked, and what has failed and hasn’t been watched. ✓ Where are the captions/subtitles?None of the video produced here have captions support. Very disappointed! Update: Even though I have captions/subtitles on already on my iOS device... the videos produced here remains the same...no captions. Update 2: I downloaded the app once again to test a free video called “Mock-up Your Designs to Impress Clients” and I made sure the caption settings (iOS 12) was still on. Unfortunately, the captioning situation remains unchanged. I would suggest that embedding the subtitles directly on the video rather than relying on Apple software. ✓ Why haven’t you fixed the continuous crashing?I value learning and I love the courses offered. However, this app often malfunctions by not showing any video. In my research about this, it seems like crashes have been going on for a long time but nothing has been done about it. This comes across as either your not caring about your service to us or that you have incompetent developers. I’m siding with there being a lax attitude about this issue because all other apps on my phone work smoothly. I rate the content a 5 but the app’s functionality a zero. I realize that the app is free but in a way, we pay for it thru our payment of the courses that we purchase. I’m sure that if there was an ongoing glitch with your receiving our payments, you’d quickly find a way to remedy the issue. Well, our end of the interaction went well as you get our payments. ✓ No longer works.I was all set to buy a pass for this but it no longer works on my iPhone. I had an email login, which I can still use on the website, but the app will no longer allow me to type in an address. It offers Facebook and Google login, which I don’t use, and the box is there for email sign in, but I can’t actually type in it. I’ve been on both the website and the page here in the AppStore, and none of the menus I have followed offer me the option to submit this issue. If it’s here somewhere, it’s not designed to be readily accessible. ✓ Misrepresentative SalesI have only today downloaded this application and so have not really had a chance to explore the available content. I was however taken in by a dubious sales trick and wish to address my review to that. After signing up, I was presented by a screen offering me one of a handful of courses for free. I could not get past this screen without declining the offer permanently. I decided to choose one and give it a go - it was going to be free after all, right? When I made the purchase I found out I was wrong (or that the developers had creatively lied) and I had been charged almost £7. £7 is not much for a course that you choose, and I am perfectly happy paying for something of I value. ✓ Decent content but app problemsThe content seems decent from what I've watched, but on my iphone6 I can only stream/watch the 'live' videos. If I choose one that isn't 'live' I get to watch the first few seconds and then the video stops but the audio keeps on going, and the video doesn't ever pick up again. The 'live' videos stream well enough, sometimes the video quality lowers to keep going on my fairly slow internet but they do keep on playing, unlike the videos that aren't 'live'.
