✓ Just wants your personal informationIt does not work unless you give up your privacy. Update: I do appreciate if developers respond, so thanks for that. Rechecked: there is no way to use the app without registering and there is no option to log in with Apple (and even if that was an option, it would push users to defend their privacy rather than the app respecting it). Update 2: Ah, so it’s user error...? :-) Well, no. This app starts with a dialog to either sign in or register, no way to use the app without registering. So that’s that. Yes, old iPad, but why would I need to pay hundreds of dollars for a new one to... well... scroll text...? In terms of other apps, there are indeed some that just work, like TeleprompterPAD. ✓ Works and is freeI had trouble using the on screen keyboard while making a script. The text will disappear under the keyboard as I type, instead of staying above the keyboard where I can see it. ✓ The problem with a “lite” versionThe problem with having a lite version of the app is how much restriction you have placed on to it. I understand that you want to make money on your investment, but how am I supposed to check the recording of video functions without spending the money to upgrade first? This is one of the key elements that most people would be looking for and there is no way to try it before you purchase? At least let people make one video first, or use one script to record or even set a time limit to each video or perhaps a watermark but I won’t be purchasing this as I can’t check the functionality that I would be buying it for. ✓ Import/edit failsThis looked good, exactly what I need as an actor/presenter for home auditions. Sadly, this app does not support the import of text in bold/italics. When a script has directions and lines to be delivered to camera, they need to be differentiated and easily identifiable for a smooth and fluid read. So when Word and PDF docs with bold and italics are imported to this app and it changes the whole document to the same typeface, the app becomes useless. It takes long enough to go through it all selecting and editing line by line, but when this app jumps to the bottom of the document after each change, it becomes far too infuriating to bother with. The actual teleprompter element may work very well. I never got to the point of actually being able to use it thanks to these major issues in getting a script ready to roll..Hardcastle414Version: 2.1.4

The actual settings are great though - you’re able to change the font size, opacity, speed, positioning on screen… but yeah. ✓ Joe Allan - Creator of the app is the 1⭐️ review reasonI used the app 2x and really enjoyed the final product it put out Simple - easy - clean Then I tried the paid version because the user interface made me believe I could easily upload a video to add captions Poor app Dev led to me think the wrong thought - I could not do this with their video app So I burnt $30 (can’t remember the full amount) and quickly wrote it off as a lost payment cause i wasn’t not going to go through the effort of getting in contact with someone who could help The app didn’t give me a feel they had a 24/7 help team But to my amazement I get an email from “Joe Allen - Creator of Teleprompter” within a day of cancelling and asking me right off the bat why I did it I explained He emailed back within a minute asking another question I answer He writes back within a minute again… I reply He writes back again! Ok pal, I’m happy I can help you get this app right…. But since your here and have been so keen take up my time with making your app better I would like to get my money back from the year payment I made “You can see on the time stamp that I canceled my subscription within 10 minutes of paying you for a years use” I hit send and reply with that … Crickets… 2 days later Still crickets… 3 days later I follow up just incase Joe accidentally missed my email Crickets… I still haven’t heard back from Joe A paying customer apparently isn’t of importance to him and his app once they have sent the yearly payment.TPTallPaulVersion: 3.9.19
