HERE WeGo Maps & Navigation for Negative User Reviews

Used to be great appThis used to be a fantastic app. I’ve been using it for many years, travelling a lot and created Collections for all these places I travelled for the next time I travel to the same destinations, but also to refresh my memories. And then I ‘Be updated the App, what a mistake - it went completely into opposite direction, worse of all: my all Collections are lost. #%]<€\%. I recommended the app to so many people, now I will be apologizing to them. What a mess have you done? Did anyone review the proposed design before you made the changes, GUI went from great and simple to horrible. So disappointed....Version: 4.2.100

Ads!?Cummon REALLY?? Deleted!.Version: 2.0.27

Do not update the app!I love this application but since the last update it has become a hassle to use it, the route is very wrong I found myself several times at a false address, collections lost please do not update it.Version: 4.2.200

What have you done? The new version removes functionality. Portrait only view. No just drive function. No choice of data displayed. Multiple route options seem to have gone with only one fixed route. The waypoint option may help but it’s adding to a previously simple task. Looking for a new app..Version: 4.0.32

Inaccurate speed limitI have been using this app for several years and love it. Suddenly the speed limits are inaccurate and kept showing 50 instead of the correct speed limit. I have deleted and downloaded the app again but had the same problem so sadly, I have to say goodbye..Version: 4.3.200

Something so simple is missingThe update looks good, some real improvements. So I hop in the car, put in the destination, put my phone into its holder and why the heck is my map sideways? Take the phone out of the holder, rotate the the phone to landscape both ways, nothing. Seriously, no landscape display? That’s a huge deal breaker since I always use landscape for navigation so the charging cable isn’t jammed into the dash and my phone is kept low to the dash and not obscuring my view out the windshield. Definitely hope this was just an oversight and it’ll be in a subsequent update..Version: 4.0.32

Useless app DO NOT DOWNLOAD ITThis is the worst app ever, I put In an address and it takes me a complete opposite way…. Deleting it right away so it can save me on stress and chucking my damn phone out of the window… use.Version: 4.9.100

Here I Go*Update* OK I have discovered that this new version thinks the whole of London is a toll road, which my settings are set to ‘avoid’. I turned this setting off and it is behaving more normally, ie it is not sending me all round the North and South Circular to get across London, and it is also giving me a choice of routes. I guess the new version can’t tell the difference between the ULEZ and the Congestion Charge Zone. Anyway, I’m leaving my review at 1* until I have tried it again. I still don’t understand why they changed it so radically without any warning, deleting all maps, all saved places, etc. Like many other reviewers I’ve used this app for years and while it wasn’t perfect it was great and, er, worked. But, like many other reviewers, I now find it basically broken. One example: today I was driving from North to South across London. The app was set to ‘Fastest’ route, and it wanted me to head North, and drive all the way round the North and South Circular, then North again, a journey time of 1hr 40mins. It gave me no alternatives (unlike the old version used to) so I went into settings and changed it to ‘Shortest Distance’ and it gave me a route lasting 40mins. So ‘Fastest’ adds an extra hour? There are many other problems, as per other reviews so I won’t repeat them, but the upshot is I need to find another app. Here I Go, it was nice knowing you.Version: 4.2.200

Offline modeBring back offline mode. Offline mode was a great feature. Searching for restaurants, gas stations and other destinations are easy, fast and effective. Have recommended app to numerous friends and family. It has helped me over the years traveling when my phone has no service. Other wise 5 star.. now it doesnt differentiate itself from the competition..Version: 4.1.390

Offline gps yes pleaseI like a lot of the features, especially, the fact it can be used offline. It would be nice if the app was updated to include support for the iPad, so it could make use of the larger screen real estate..Version: 4.8.200

Looks like a good app BUTKeeps crushing after adding more than 10 stops to navigation. Does not keep or remember the planned navigations. Doesn’t have a function to create optimised route from your added places which pretty much makes the app not very helpful..Version: 4.12.000

Please Update Functionality for CollectionsApp should be rated 5*. But first PLEASE fix a critical glitch after the new APP update: When I enter a destination, I expect to see first the names of my collections or saved places/Favorites to show up before I see other suggestions from the Internet. This is clearly the advantage of saving collections and places. With the new app, One is UNABLE to even see the names of saved collections. I only see Internet suggested names or addresses that match what I entered. Moreover, when I click on a saved Favorite destination, I do not have the option to navigate there. Positive News: Thank you for fixing the sorting of Collections by Distance; it is working well now!.Version: 4.1.350

Please give us the old app backThis new updated version is absolutely awful. It takes all of the great features of the original app and throws them in the bin. There is no longer the “drive” option which displayed the map and speeds etc without having to have a route programmed. The map now shows as a top down display rather than a view out in front. The audio turns the music in my motorcycle headset down permanently to where it is inaudible and the voice giving me directions now seems to be in surround sound so half of the directions are spoken into my left ear and half in my right. Very off putting. This was my favourite navigation app but I will now have to look for another as this new updated version is complete garbage..Version: 4.2.100

Terrible offline map functionalityMap cursor gets lost continuously, just doesn’t work, even if the necessary maps are downloaded properly. Voice also doesn’t work, even though it is turned on. Deleting the app..Version: 4.9.100

Was very goodLatest update just killed this. GPS speed and speed limits now do not show unless you have a destination entered making it Useless! Deleting and going back to old Garmin until I can find a suitable replacement or the developers bring back the removed functionality..Version: 4.2.300

Showing "Looking for GPS Signal" ConstantlyThe app constantly shows the message "looking for GPS signal" after 20-30 minutes of the use of the "Drive" feature (navigation). After seeing the message, it means the app is basically dead. Nothing I could do about it but to shut down the app forcefully, reopen and navigate again. No matter how long I waited, the GPS loss message just wouldn't disappear and the navigation wouldn't come back either. Please fix it. Thanks..Version: 2.0.43

Was the best offline navigation app…Recently the developers of Here We Go released an “update” for the app, claiming it would make the app easier to use. I immediately fell for this claim only to realize moments later many other people had a negative experience with this update. Everything about the app’s setup has changed, and my previous download of all of New York’s streets (allowing me to use the map offline) has completely disappeared. You guys did everything right, and I planned to use your app for years, until now! Please release a new ‘update’ switching back to what you had before, or tell me what to download to retrieve the previous version. Otherwise I will be looking for something different..Version: 4.1.350

Continues to crashThe best feature by far is he ability to download regions and be able to use while offline. However that is the only redeeming quality about this terribly constructed app. It constantly tries to take me down roads that are either closed, one way the wrong way, dirt or private farm roads, or roads barely wide enough for a motorcycle. Even though I hate the Googles, there is something to be said about their superior products. My wife finally convinced me to come over to the google maps app while we were in Germany last week. We put the two Navs to the test and it wasn’t even close. One question though, why doesn’t The Apple Maps work in Europe?.Version: 2.0.30

New Update is a failureI used this app for more than two years and I loved it and shared it with all my friends and family. Now i updated the app to newest update and for the first time in my life I’m writing a preview that is so painful to me to write. This was the best offline navigation app i ever used in my life… I wish the new update never got released .😩😣.Version: 4.9.200

Bring back old versionI used to use this app a lot until the “refresh “ about two years ago but what a massive backward step the new version is. - the drive mode was deleted. This was great for when navigation guidance was not needed but speed alerts were very useful - the maps used to be regularly updated, like every month or two. I don’t think I have received a single update for New South Wales in 2 years! - The offline search mode is very limited. Have to go online. Might as well use Google Maps, which is a superior product anyway. - Downloading additional maps is an awful experience compared to the previous version. Extremely slow, and the app has to be kept open and aware the whole time. Continuous screen tapping required. It is so sad a once invaluable app has been destroyed by a “throw the baby out with the bath water” downgrade..Version: 4.9.200

NOT Offline Map ANYMORE !!!When I couldn't find my address offline mode, so.... The best thing about the old version of the app was the strong offline mode search address. Could I downgraded to old version??.Version: 4.1.370

Removed the best feature in the latest updateRemoved the drive mode!?!?!?! I rarely need the navigation active as do the same long trips daily but used this app as it would still show the traffic, map, posted speed and gps speed on the screen without having to set a destination. Will now be looking elsewhere..Version: 4.2.100

Utterly inaccurate! The first thing I tried after opening the app was to set Home location. This app failed instantly. App shows my Home location almost 3km away with directions and minutes to get to where I actually am. The address is wrong, even the postal code is wrong! Precise location settings are ON. There is no excuse for this other than the app’s failure as Google maps knows exactly where I am. Uninstalled..Version: 4.7.000

Great app just needs to work better with CarPlayEdit May 2020: So apple CarPlay is fixed but the fancy update has taken away the option to search by postcode and no longer gives you a choice of routes. Been using this app for years. Have used it home and abroad with no issues. The downloaded maps are brilliant and update regularly. Have recently got a new car with apple CarPlay and was disappointed that the arrow is centred in the screen. Meaning any right turns are hidden by turn by turn instructions. If this was resolved then would bump up to 5 stars..Version: 4.0.32

No more BluetoothThe app used to work with Bluetooth which was great when in the car or listing to directions with headphones while walking and listing to music. Now I cannot hear it over the radio. Please bring it back!.Version: 4.2.500

Old version was betterAwful update. Crashes multiple times during 2hours trip and I’m on iPhone 11 Pro Max with tons of memory space available. The offline getting direction takes a while too unlike the older version. It’s garbage gps app now..Version: 4.2.200

Voice instructions does not workThe new updated version is no good, as the voice does not work. So quite dangerous to use the app for directions if you are driving alone because you have to take your eyes off the road to check where you are going. I will be deleting this app and will look for an alternative. I had no issues with the previous version, it worked a treat. Why change something that is not broken?.Version: 4.8.200

Good but not goodOn the phone the app works, but the reason for I hate this app is on the CarPlay the map keeps on north up display instead of following. There is no option in the CarPlay to change it..Version: 4.6.200

Needs some workInterface is easy enough. Looks a lot like Waze. Gives wrong locations and directions that are impossible. There is no where in the app to report things like this to help improve. For example as a test I asked for directions to home. It wanted me to take the Bypass that runs by my home, but there is one entrance and one exit as it loops around my town. It wanted me to exit from the bypass onto a road… off of an overpass. I didn’t take the bypass knowing that it was wrong, but I don’t know that I would trust the app to take me anywhere because of something as simple as this.Version: 4.9.200

Great offline maps with a major flaw. The place you're most likely to want to use maps is in your car, but Here doesn't seem to support Carplay. This seems like a pretty major oversight. The other oddity is that rideshare search never actually seems to return results even when both Uber and Lyft are available. Other than that, this is a very usable offline map program with offline navigation, easy searching, integrated public transportation, and none of the creepy big-brotherness associated with Google products..Version: 2.0.46

Not readyI would call it beta version. And it’s far from ready. Saved places are a mess. Sorting doesn’t work. It’s not easy to pick a place. Impossible to add a place to the route unless it’s gas station or a toilet, REALLY!!! How to navigate to any contact from the phone? O right, it’s impossible. Plus, in the previous version there were 3 routes to choose from. Now it’s one, and it’s hideous. Try to drive from Long Island to DC for example. The only route is through Manhattan. Really? No other option? I can’t believe that such product can be on the market when google maps or waze or even apple maps are present. NAILED IT!!!.Version: 4.0.31

Option for turn directions only neededI like the and I mainly use it as my alternative when I do not have coverage on my primary navigation app. The only reason this is not my primary app is because if the voice guidance options: There are only two options, no voice or full text to speech. The text to speech does not work well in English (and possibly other languages )when driving in a foreign language country as what comes out is just jibberish most of the time. Would it be possible to add a middle option where we can have voice guidance but the app does not attempt to (wrongly) pronounce every street name? All other navigation apps I tried have this option..Version: 4.3.100

Crashing frequentlyThis app became unusable after the recent update. First on app update all my previously downloaded maps wiped out. I could not download USA map on whole as the download failed repeatedly. I had to spend hours to download state by state. Next day (Saturday) I went on a road trip and map refused to launch. The map closed on its own when I tried to launch. I had to use other map app for my road trip. The here map app’s best feature was that it works where google maps fails (rural areas with weak cellular connections). But this time the app itself didn’t launch. Once a favorite app of mine is no longer my fav app. I fee let down.Version: 4.0.32

Lots of functions missingThe old version is way better, I am blaming myself for updating to the new version. The old version was faster, simple and informative re roads, cameras, road works, and speed limits. I hope the developers allow users to go back to the old version until they work on the new version as it has lots of things missing that made users unhappy with the app.Version: 4.2.000

Great off-line map option, still has a wonky interfaceStill not my go to mapping app. The app is fast and navigation is mostly acceptable. I owned a newer Benz, and there is no way for me to coordinate the app to my navigation system even though the mapping data is identical, kind of a silly thing given that Mercedes is one of the owners of Here We Go! Another sticking point, a bug if you will, is that the interstate highways in Oregon state are labeled as Minnesota state routes and have been for months. It shows up correctly in my Benz navigation but not on the app. And, what the heck is with not having a native iPad app?!.Version: 4.8.200

Here we goHere we go was the best app for travel that I had ever used. It had all the great features combined into one. I used it all the time. I recommended it to my family and friends. With the new design either the old features were removed or they are well hidden. I miss the having access to the settings, the drive, the speed, the speed alert if you were going too fast, the ability to change from drive, walk and bus. They all seem to be gone. The benefits of the new version …. I have yet to discover them as all I see is a map and an address search bar. This is not the same app that it used to be. The previous version had recognizable selling point which this version seems to lack..Version: 4.1.380

Superior Offline ModeThe thing that I love about Here Maps is the ease of downloading a country instead of sections like Google’s. Though, it’s still not capable of reliability like routing, place of interests, and live traffic. The routing takes you to more turns than making it simple, most of the business listings are either outdated or missing, and you get barely traffic report updates. The 3D building is a great feature especially how it shows an imagery of a tower building, which is another great thing but although it doesn’t cover that much area. I also like the voice guidance they’ve provided, it has a detailed guidance like it tells me to “enter the highway”, and it comes with more languages but the quality of the audio is low which you can barely hear at all. The most I disliked about this app is CarPlay support and it’s been 3 years that they still haven’t implement it but yet Magic Earth already have. This navigation tool has it’s potential but I believe that it’s putting less effort to improve it overtime. It is safe to say that you can use it for your holiday trips but be sure to be alert with your surroundings as this app would not be accurate all the time..Version: 2.0.52

Interrupting AlertThis is a great app, except that it doesn’t adhere to its own settings, which makes the experience unusable. The setting in question retains to traffic alerts. I’ve turned this setting off globally and whenever I use the app. Unfortunately it doesn’t care and beeps at me every time we get near a speed camera (regardless of the speed I’m going), while turning off the music in another app. Keeping the setting but moving the slider to the maximum setting also doesn’t change anything. If you’re going to have a setting then make it work please. Until this is fixed I honestly can not recommend this app, even though the rest of the functionality is excellent. My only other concern is that the data in the maps doesn’t seem to be updated as regularly as I want and find that Google Maps has more up to date information - which I can live with, but the beeping I cannot..Version: 2.0.39

Can’t download an offline map in the backgroundHave to keep the app open to download an offline map. Really? That’s absurd! Thx for wasting ten minutes of my time!.Version: 4.11.300

Frequently freezingI am using Here Maps navigation app on my iPhone 7 Plus for a while but recently freezing in the middle of navigation quite often while I am driving. It is very disappointing and I would like to request the developer to fix the issue. My wife has same issue on Iphone 6 ..Version: 2.0.40

DisappointedOld versions were better .. This one is not looking offline you have to be connected to the internet and no all languages .. Serbian language is missing and more.Version: 4.2.000

Ruined by the updateCompletely useless to me now they deprecated landscape mode as that is the only way my phone fits into its mount in my car. And no, buying another mount is not something I want to or should have to do. I’ve also had a repeatable error in routing with this new version where it would show the correct location when entering an address but then use a different end point (in a different town) when clicking to get directions. Really fun the first time it happened as I didn’t realise until I was nearly (not) at my destination. Just did it for the one address, but did so every time I entered it and so I have lost faith in the tool.Version: 4.2.200

Direction of TravelShared via email in 2020 that the app does not allow you to flow in the direction of travel unless you are in guidance mode! They acknowledged this and confirmed they are working on an update. Oops, not this update yet? Back to google maps offline…...Version: 4.2.100

Missing a critical featureIf this app simply had an easy non convoluted way of searching along route then this would be the best. By non convoluted i mean. While heading towards a destination there be a simple button to add a stop. You search the name of what you want and the map will simply zoom out, show you distance from the places, let you touch the place you want and it adds it as a stop along the current route. No trying to build a collection before you leave and trying to use a calculator to figure out how far each stop is. Basically copy what google does for it. I dont get why navigation apps dont do it that way and insist on the most complicated solution possible..Version: 2.0.27

Where is the landscape view?I am rather disappointed with the upgrade. I relied on landscape view as it was not obscuring my view, now I am stuck, the top and bottom informations are too huge, why do I need that trip progress bar for? All I need is how long distance is left, arrival time and the driving time left. The bar just takes precious space on a small screen making the actual map even smaller, definitely smaller than on the previous release..Version: 4.2.100

Unpredictable start/won’t startI love this app so much, but it has a fatal bug. Unpredictably it will simply not start. The splash screen comes up for about 15-20 seconds then you are back to the iPhone home screen.:(. Once it does that nothing seems to work (tried reboot, going offline .. nothing) except uninstalling the entire app and reinstalling - along with GB of map data. Try that on crap hotel WiFi! So the end result is it lets you down when you need it most. Please please find what causes this and squish it. Everything else about this app is awesome, but it has let me down one too many times now to be about to trust it, and I really want to. It’s maps are better than anyone else’s for Topo type information..Version: 2.0.54

Disappointed with new update. The old version before this updated one was a lot better simpler and more user friendly. The old version regardless if you had a destination set or not used to display current speed top left corner, it also used to alert you when there was a speed camera upcoming.. This new version does neither of those things from what I can tell (using on iPhone 11 or CarPlay in the vehicle) disappointing as I loved using the app due to those features alone..Version: 4.2.000

Here. We. Go.The. App. Needs. A. Better. Voice. Beep. Boop. Wayyyy too robotic..Version: 4.7.000

Keeps getting worst after every updateThis app keeps getting worst every after update. Instead of you driving 20 minutes to your destination, it leads you to somewhere that will take you 30 minutes... tsk.Version: 4.3.300

Here has lost its way!I have been using Here in New Zealand for years. Have always loved it for some great features: offline maps, onscreen speed , (both actual speed and the legal limit) nice graphics. However the latest versions seem to have gone downhill. It suggests preposterously long routes and then refuses to update and follow my actual path when I drive a more logical direction. It doesn’t seem to know where I am! Combine this with a competition that uses much more up to date info for business addresses etc and it might be time to update my preferred navigation provider.Version: 4.8.200

Better than apple maps BUT……Have been using here maps for some time as the ability to download and use off line was essential. Then detail on screen when not using as navigator was brilliant, however the makeover has removed all features that drew me to this app. It’s a shame because the quality of the maps was always superior to others, I notice these days the HERE logo appears in the Hema maps app, if you looking for very very simple nav for urban driving then it’s much better than apple maps, no longer suited to rural use and no phone coverage usage, pretty sad it’s gone this way, phone coverage is very average to this day when mot in the city, time to dig out the paper maps yet again…..Version: 4.4.100

CarPlay issueThis app needs some work on CarPlay - specially wide screens. The maps are glitchy and seems to be super slow. Would come back once it’s fixed.Version: 4.11.110

No traditional Chinese in menuMap has traditional Chinese but menu doesn’t.Version: 4.7.150

Freezing/Crashing 😳I’ve been using this app for years, easy to use, quick and reliable. However, it’s recently been freezing and have found that the phone is getting very hot when in use (maybe behind the freezing issue). Unfortunately this happened when I was in heavy traffic in an unfamiliar place last week 🙁 please fix!! The success of any SatNav is its reliability (for obvious reasons). Not sure which update introduced the bug, sorry..Version: 4.7.150

New update removes the features I got this app for originallyThe dark aesthetics are gone when loading the app and the collection/settings tab is forced white and the UI is awkward/cluttered and unintuitive. The extremely useful “drive” feature was removed as well as the fun voice lines and replaced with useless weather temperature. The settings are a mess and requires digging around to find useful/needed settings that aren’t even there anymore. The previous version was better in every single way and now they are pushing you to create a profile and join their “network”, losing privacy and autonomy, possibly putting feature behind a pay wall in the future. This was my favorite, go-to map app, but now it’s the worst one and will be uninstalled after finishing this review until the removed features are brought back and the UI is reverted/improved. This is the first and only time I ever written an app review, that’s how bad this app is after the update..Version: 4.0.31

需改進很不靈敏 有時誤差有點多.Version: 2.0.56

Bring back old versionNew version is horrible with lots of features missing..Version: 4.1.370

A DisasterFor several years I have recommended this app and found it the best option, for me, out there. Unfortunately a few days ago I came to use it and found a new update (I don’t know how it appeared as my phone isn’t set to automatically update apps) and my 12GB of European maps had gone. This left me somewhat dismayed to say the least. Faced with a drive home across four countries I had to download 2GB of map data. Although Germany and France have regional downloads you need to know where they are! After this annoying start I was dismayed at the wrong directions given at the first three roundabouts used. Fortunately the autobahn was well signed. I had assumed the actual navigation function would be the same. This is clearly not the case as the very useful voice info re which lane to be in at, for example, a motorway divergence was either missing or often too late. Although this info is visually provided I find the map too pale to clearly see the road network. It would appear this app update is more focused on showing local services (shops etc) than navigation..Version: 4.2.100

Crashes out every time I try and use it on iPhone 7I used to rely on this app quite a lot but sadly now I can’t. For around 6 months every time I load the app it just crashes out with no error message Before that it used to load up but would crash out as soon as I tried to scroll the map. Also, good luck using the customer “help” site, I put in Crash as a search term and it eventually came back with no results, so no one has ever reported a crash with this app 😂😂 Really frustrating..Version: 2.0.44

MUCH POORER AFTER REVAMPI have recommended Here maps to everyone, but this very poor update that has significantly reduced the attraction of this app. I still have the previous version on an old phone so have been able to compare. The pale, watery / white tones of the maps are hard to read at a glance - surely a fundamental pre-requisite of a mapping app to be used when driving. The old contrasting colours were much easier to read. Cycling and taxi options appear to have disappeared from the route options. Most disappointingly, offline mode is now a poor shrunken offering. It no longer provides public transport or walking routes which it often did. Instead, you are prompted to go online - which makes the app far less useful when roaming abroad. But you get spatial audio - woo-hoo! But if you’re just trying to get from A to B as efficiently as possible, who really needs frippery like this? So it’s back to the app store to test out other map options - though based on this latest update I’m not sure that Here will be that concerned about migrating users..Version: 4.2.300

If only….As mentioned before, I really like the appearance of this app. However if I have the radio on in my car and am using this on Apple Car Play, as soon as a direction is given by the Annie, the radio cuts out and doesn’t come back in after the direction. So, basically you cannot listen to the radio and get directions with this app. Also, please have better voice selections..Version: 4.10.010

Another update and still not fixedNot that long ago you had a great app that made offline navigation BY FOOT easy. But for some reason you have switched that off, so every time I see an update, I come back on to check if you have fixed it. Unfortunately not! Still no ability to navigate off line by foot. I could obviously use car navigation but in big cities it is annoying to be told not to walk the wrong direction on a one way street and be sent a much longer walking route as a result, or missing out on obvious footpaths. Please fix it, it used to work fine..Version: 4.3.300

GPSCould you please make sure that when we drive navigation icon go forward and when ever vehicle turn left or right map also turn, now map never follow the vehicle if vehicle go forward map goes backwards.Version: 4.6.000

Once the best, now junkI’ve used HERE since back in the Nokia days. It was head and shoulders above the others, none came close. But it’s been in steady decline for years while the others improved. This latest version is unusable as the directions don’t play over the car’s speakers. Unlike every other sat nav app it won’t interrupt the radio, or any other source, the app only makes a sound if the car’s media player is dedicated to play the phone input, which makes for an unpleasant drive as I like to listen to the radio.Version: 4.4.100

Was👍now👎I have been using the app for years and loved it. But I recently made the update and now it boots me out 2seconds after opening the app...every time. What's going on? I have done what you've suggested. Deleted and Reinstalled the app. It now works like it's supposed to👍. But I did not get the places saved back. I'm just happy they weren't important spots. Overall...love it again.😄.Version: 4.11.300

Used to be good !Tried it again. Used to be good when a Nokia app. Today is good… for nothing ! Tells me to make suddenly a left on a street that doesn’t exists straight from the hwy exit ramp, when 90-100km/hour !!! Really ! DELETED !!!.Version: 4.1.390

Miss Old Version. This new update is absolutely joke. It used be the best and recommend friends and family. Used to be accurate, But the current location is always 20-30m away from actual spot, since the update. CarPlay is not working and Cannot get voice guidance either. 😡.Version: 4.2.100

Horizontal? In horizontal mode screen is terribly organized!.Version: 4.11.000

Update made it horribleI have been using this app for years, with the new updates nothing has been accurate, timing on the buses has been completely off. I will try different transit apps. Sorry to say good bye to such a nice app long before this update..Version: 4.2.100

Appalling UpdateI have used and loved this app for years. It never failed to let me down, even in some fairly remote locations. I heartily recommended to everyone I could think of. Since the recent update though, I’ve used it once and I’m going to delete and find a completely new app. It’s so awful. What have you done??? The colour is off putting and I cannot see where I’m going. It didn’t automatically dim when it got dark so I had a harsh white light glaring in my face, which is not only off-putting but dangerous. It tried to take me a completely different way home (not due to traffic). It doesn’t show guidance as to which lane you need to be in. The instructions come from different speakers which is extremely discombobulating. I can’t see which exit from the roundabout I need to take unless I peer closely. All in all I felt it hindered my driving and I hated the experience. Never has the saying ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ been a truer statement!!! I’m so so disappointed!!!.Version: 4.2.100

Good but not like Google mapsTo be honest I am a big fan of Here maps but there is no female voice in Here we go, when I try to change my location from current location it is not going to where I wanted to start with , at some points some features are not like Waze Gps application Here maps must be like waze to compete like here maps shows camera warning but camera warning must come on the middle of the path like warning is showing 2nd thing at round about Here maps takes some time and not zooming close enough in at round about and aero get lost or become late on roundabout 2nd point Here maps doesn't stand out Traffic paths like Wazeis showing in Red dark thick path where there is more traffic where there is yellow (slow) traffic or clear path green traffic, So Here maps have to workout clearly on that point. Make sure Here maps zoom in at round about with aero follows us at round about & don't loose connection..Version: 4.8.000

Update is not goodThis used to be a good app. When you entered the destination it would show you different routes so you could pick the one you want. Now it just picks whatever it wants. It made a simple trip more complicated than it had to be. And yes, I checked all the options. The people who update this app need to bring back the option to pick your route and also allow horizontal viewing. The offline option used to be a simple change. Now it’s buried in the settings to make it harder to find. Why? Look at your recent ratings. You’ve made this worst..Version: 4.1.360

Bad experienceBaddest app i have ever used..highly advice not to download the app.😡.Version: 2.0.5

Inutilisable en JamaïqueEncore déçu par la « nouvelle version ». J’ai téléchargé la carte de la Jamaïque mais impossible de trouver des itinéraires, connecté ou non, à pieds ou en voiture. Décevant. Redonnez-moi l’ancienne version..Version: 4.6.200

Very limited use !!!Doesn’t work at all when I am outside of major cities!! Whats the point !?! I downloaded offline maps for the entire Provence abs it still won’t work ?! Disappointed ☹️.Version: 4.11.300

Much improvements neededSome basic features like voice input for destination, stop sign and traffic lights are very important during navigation. They may already exist but sure they were not obvious to me..Version: 4.7.000

So Sorry I UpdatedI’ve loved using this app for years. Performed update assuming it was just a normal update/new look. Update wiped out all my maps and their associated collections. All my favourite restaurants in cities across Europe all gone, little hard to find shops and art galleries all gone. Who thought this upgrade was a good idea??? Sad sad thing to do to loyal users..Version: 4.2.200

DisasterI have used Here Maps since 2016 when it came installed with my Volvo car. Loved that I had an account and could use the web version to plan and manage and push routes to my car and then to the app on my IPad. This update has taken that function away, wiped all my saved routes/collections and does not allow me to select alternative routes. No longer using this, which is pity as it was always my main Navigation app for the car..Version: 4.0.31

5 -> 1 after latest update 👎5 stars to 1 (begrudging) star. I had used Here extensively in the past, using download maps. The last update was infuriating, when trying to use in around the CBD of Melbourne, Australia❗️ The app says ‘turn right’. The street signs emphatically denied right turns at the intersection. The app tells me to do a u-turn at the next traffic lights, less than 50 metres away and visible. The opportunity arose to u-turn before those lights, so I tried to shave the light delay. Now running parallel to my first direction, but in the opposite direction the app again tell me to make a u-turn, onto the very road the original u-turn was suggested. After that 360 degree incompetence, I turned Here off. The ‘team’ had an app that worked great. Then they gave it an unnecessary facelift, and turned into trash, where it’s soon heading..Version: 4.3.200

MrMy phone overheated every time i used it.Version: 1.0.71

Great Navigation App! Need minor tweaks! This is a great navigation app! I’ve used it in Canada and Europe, it works as it should! As with every app, there is some tweaks that need to be made and I hope the developers see this to fix it! (Using it on IPhone 14 Pro Max) 1. When you put in a route and press the Go icon , as the app goes into 3D when it zooms in to your location it kind of slows down, it’s not a smooth movement as you start your route. It looks like it’s skipping a bit as you start moving. 2. If something can be done with the consumption of battery life using the app, would be great! I noticed it burns through battery quicker than other navigation apps If more things come up that are noticeable , I will write a follow up review! Thank you and I hope you look into these tweaks to make the app a great competitor to the other ones out there! Cheers!.Version: 4.11.110

Used to be the best navigation app ever! But not anymore!New update removed lots of functionality. No driving mode anymore. Only see ur icon moves on the map. Logout ur account automatically when u update ur app from old version to this one. Now days I tried to find a new app for my driving..Version: 4.3.100

No camera warningIn general the maps are great. But the camera warnings aren’t there any more. It use to have them but for some reason it has disappeared. Also Here used to have male voice for UK but not any more which is frustrating. I don’t mind to pay subscription so you have Live Camera and traffic all the time you are driving. Tom Tom has this and Here should start doing it so. I’m Here user since they’ve been on the market and now it’s getting worse which is no good. I don’t use Google maps as I never liked them. So Here if you wanna keep your customers happy you should do something about this issues..Version: 2.0.50

UpdateSince the update the app is not working properly the maps are difficult to read there is no voice whatsoever either just using phone handheld or connected to the car. The update just appeared and it has lost my set maps. I was more than happy with the app until this update. I will now have to find another app to use..Version: 4.2.500

Very poor updateThis app was brilliant, I've used it for over 10 years, however the upgrade has IMHO totally spoilt it. I cannot get the app to give voice instructions, through Bluetooth and my car radio anymore, there is no Drive function any more whereby it just displays the map with your position and giving gps road speed. Also the window for all data, distance, time to arrive etc. was along the bottom of the screen, it is now in a big white rectangle taking about a fifth of the screen. Just one question developers, why fix it when it aint before? I'm very disappointed.Version: 4.2.300

The new versionI have been using the app for many years until the latest update which removed a lot of functionality. After upgrading to version 4 all my favourite places saved previously were removed without a warning, all the maps needed to be downloaded again, a speed limit sign turned to a tiny icon which is hard to see, routes suggestions have disappeared etc. I have to find another alternative now as there is no way to go back to the old version..Version: 4.0.32

Going backwards, still needs lots of work to competeI really want to use this app, but the new version is still not a good everyday navigator. App looks good but only works in full screen mode in Carplay - it does not support Carplay Dashboard. Plus, it lacks speed limits (on the rare occasions they display) for all but major streets in my area - yet Waze has the speed limits where Here We Go does not. Finally, today it was only working if I opened the phone - it would not work independently in CarPlay I would like to have a good navigation app not owned by Google and Here We Go is just not up to the challenge at the moment..Version: 4.1.370

How are the POIs sorted in Collections?I have been using this app for quite a while and I really like this app a lot. I still have not figured out how my POIs sorted in the collections. Can Support team explain the logic behind that? It is not sorted by the last saved into the collection. It is not sorted by the closest to my GPS location. It is not sorted by names of the POIs in the collection. It is not sorted by recent use/most used POIs. It is so random and confusing. I really want this app be my main source for maps and navigation. Please explain and make it work better for your users..Version: 2.0.46

Not too bad...Works for New Zealand, however, unable to share screen via Apple AV cable to a built-in car entertainment unit. Waze does it absolutely effortlessly out-of-the-box. Is it possible to include the share screen option to the application?.Version: 1.0.63

StorageWhy the app is showing my phone storage available for offline maps as less than 4gb while my phone shows I am using 34/64gb?! Is this a bug?!!.Version: 4.9.200

Turn by turn directions have been degradedI’ve been using this app since it was Nokia Maps. To me, the thing that distinguished it was the clarity of its turn by turn directions which were incredibly easy to follow. For some reason, they decided to fix something that wasn’t broken and have eliminated much of the detailed directions that made it so good. Granted their navigation still isn’t as bad as Google Maps, whose navigation to me is so bad as to be unusable; half the time you can’t even get any sound at all out of Google Maps, a bug that has remained unfixed for years. But Apple Maps, which used to be pretty bad, has significantly improved its navigation and it’s now far better than Waze or HereWeGo. Waze is still best if you’re on the highway and want yo know where all the speed traps are. But for local driving, right now Apple Maps is the best..Version: 4.2.300

Does not work offline.Downloaded all maps from Ontario to Florida and got the message that says “could not find a route in offline mode “. Not sure what the problem is..Version: 4.7.150

Awful new upgradeAre used to love the HERE navigation app. It had an excellent set of international language support with multiple voices. It worked perfectly for off line navigation in foreign countries where I didn’t have a data plan or in remote areas without good cellular coverage. It used to be my preferred navigation app, but I had to delete it after this new upgrade. All the good old features went away. The interface is also much less intuitive. The voices are mechanical, robotic (yesteryear). The whole project is a total failure it’s like a step back in time of a decade or more. Goodbye here we go, I deleted it..Version: 4.2.000

So close, yet so farI’d like to see full screen use on the iPhone X like Google Maps or even something similar to Apple Maps. It’s trivial I’m sure, but it’s attention to detail. It does appear night mode uses true black which will conserve battery. Being able to download maps is great, it saved us on our last trip to Europe and made getting around a breeze. I also haven’t noticed any ads lately, which was fairly annoying not to be able to opt out of. It would be nice to have an auto switch feature for the units, it’s already using our location, can’t be that hard to know what areas use which units on their roads, there are only three. The voices are a bit digital and processed sounding, not major, but smoother voices would be nice. The directions can be confusing, especially the lane indicators and arrows. If you’re a Windows 10 user you’ll notice the native MS Maps app is in fact Here We Go. This made planning trips in Europe easier since we could see things on my Surface Pro 4 in larger detail then use the iPhone on the streets for navigation. Reality is I’d only use Google Maps if they offered offline maps. However, they don’t, so this is where Here We Go really shines. If Here We Go could get their interface, search and options on par with Google Maps, I may just remove Google Maps. At the moment there’s a long ways to go still..Version: 2.0.31

STILL DO NOT USEDO NOT USE - the downloaded maps are not used - the app has to be connected to the internet to identify a street address The 'upgrade' from version 2 to '4' has destroyed most of the value in the old HERE app. The new version does not have a true disconnected option and can't find even local locations without internet connection. The non-asian language options have been reduced and the screen clarity has been reduced. We used version 2 in the fire brigades in western australia due its accuracy and internet-free capability. Version 4 is inaccurate by 200m and cannot find locations without internet connection IT IS POTENTIALLY DANGEROUS.Version: 4.1.350

Stop working on iPhone XStopped twice on the way today. I had to restart the app to get it work again. It’s really frustrating..Version: 2.0.40

Rég 78Depuis que j’utilise la nouvelle version je ne suis pas capable d’avoir plusieurs itinéraire si je ne suis pas en ligne je déteste cette application depuis ce changement..Version: 4.8.200

HmmmWhen here maps first came out it was brilliant . Recently each update has made it really difficult and annoying to use. I like offline so I don’t have a large bill for data . Now it won’t work unless it’s on line , can’t find places. Even with Data on. Never had this problem before always recommended to friends and family..Version: 4.4.000

Ok but keeps switching car audio to CarPlayI usually have xm / radio playing in the car. All other apps such as Google maps say their alerts without permanently switching over from radio to CarPlay. They simply merge (overlay) their audio with whatever is playing. Not this app. It stops radio and plays its alert. Very annoying! The only option is to switch back to radio every time it says an upcoming turn or exit or whatever. That makes the app unusable for me. Don’t want to have only gps “play” the entire time I am driving and nothing else..Version: 4.9.200

App is crashing on launchUpdate: app is crashing on lunch...useless I have been using Here maps since my Nokia Windows Phone...and love it. Offline maps make it my choice for travelling internationally and the Drive feature is great. That said I would love to have the ability to have Siri Shortcuts and CarPlay support. I have started using Apple Maps, Waze and Google Maps when I rent cars with CarPlay support. That makes me sad. Siri Shortcuts would be great if I could get answers to things like how long my commute home should be or what traffic to work would be like (might even tempt me to turn on Always On location services just to get that). I would also love to be able to have iMessage support to share routes before I head off with friends and family (either static route that I am about to take with traffic estimates or a dynamic one with live location - again encouraging always on). Looking for a Waze competition/alternative..Version: 2.0.41

Utter stupidityThe morons that allowed the previously functional app to be “upgraded” should be sacked. Probably after being hung, drawn, and quartered. The new version is a shadow of its former self, as per all the other recent reviews and has lost so many useful aspects. I am particularly annoyed that the new version was downloaded with no warning as to the radical changes contained, and with no option to revert back to, or keep, something more useable. As I have used it in offline mode for several years and been quite happy with it I do not wish to have my choices overridden by an online update that thinks it knows best, without my permission. I have now uninstalled the current abomination and am looking elsewhere..Version: 4.2.300

Not bad for a freebieNot too much to complain about. Mapping seems to be accurate. One let-down is that if you’re in a route and have the phone connected to CarPlay, when you stop, say for a break then continue the route is lost and you have to program it in again. Also, it’d be nice to have a list of favourites. If it’s already a feature I can’t find it. 3D display would be good too..Version: 4.5.200

Who designed the update?I downloaded the latest version and “poof” all my maps were gone. Who was the idiot that decided that that would be a desirable “feature”?.Version: 4.2.100

Awful. In theory it’s a great app because you can download maps to the device so that you can navigate when there’s no mobile coverage or you don’t want to waste your bandwidth. In practice it’s rubbish, for two reasons. Firstly, it takes ages to download the maps. I’ve got 10MBPS at home and it’s taken over 2 days to download the UK map (about 1GB). This isn’t a problem at my end - it’s the app. Secondly, the offline maps are sometimes deleted when the app updates. You don’t get any warning about this until you try to use them and find out that there are no maps on your phone. Another candidate for zero stars. It’s absolutely carp..Version: 2.0.36

New update ruined the appWith the new update this app is horrible and almost unusable… no horizontal mode, laggy, cannot search addresses offline, and cannot do an overview of the route while navigating… huge step backwards.Version: 4.0.32

Offline does not work well!!!!I downloaded the map, but it still wants to be connected online to start or continue navigation. It is so frustrating! Why even download a map if when selecting offline it wants to cancel current navigation?!.Version: 4.6.100

Updates aren’t always good.Latest update has killed any sense of functionality. Offline suggestions no longer work despite downloading maps. It’d be great to have this back..Version: 4.1.350

Excellent ...until it wasn’tThis was an awesome app I used for months, years then suddenly it started freezing and taking me in a wild goose chase which is really not what I want. I’ve updated and restarted and tried everything. I’m giving it one more go otherwise I’m over it. A shame because I’ve loved it..Version: 2.0.41

Send to carGreat maps and app but why can’t you add send to car for Volvo . This only available on desktop.Version: 2.0.45

Old version was far better! What happened to this awesome app? It used to be fantastic, now with the latest update, it is less user friendly, less settings options and massive widgets that cover large parts of the map while driving. My iPhone keeps dimming now while I try driving and navigating, never used to happen on the older version. I’ll be deleting unfortunately and using Goggle maps..Version: 4.2.300

Doesn’t Speak AustralianWe’re in Australia but the guidance doesn’t speak our language. At the moment the most annoying is it talks about “traffic circles” not “roundabouts”. Although it’s a good app with the best data, people travelling my your car think it’s a joke. This problem seems to have crept in a few updates ago..Version: 4.8.100

Keep getting frozen!!The app ran real well for about a month. Then, the screen would freeze mid ride. The problem kept happening even after re-installation. Please fix!!! I really liked the app..Version: 2.0.39

Not quite there yetThis has the beginnings of an awesome navigation app, but it fails in too many areas for me. The map display is excellent - clear and airy feeling with 3D buildings. Route planning seems ok with the journeys I have tested it on so far. POIs are in weird places often many miles from where they should be. Navigation itself is very jerky and lags behind slightly. Speed camera warnings are mostly absent. The only available voice is male and not that pleasant to listen to. So just a few things to put right then it could happily compete with the best..Version: 4.3.300
