At first it seemed tolerable. However, I purchased some birthday scenarios recently and would read, literally for pages at a time without having a clue as to what was going on! One of the scenarios was so bad that all I can confidently say happened was ... they took a trip overseas. That’s it! Also, I’d hope the writers might consider mixing things up. Try using some fresh metaphors. Plus the MC does not need to do these things every chapter: (1) get dizzy/lightheaded (2) trip on her own two feet (3) eyes get teary (4) say ... uum. (5) cheeks become flushed : I realize a certain number of the usual tropes need and will happen in these sort of games .. but come on?
