Next-Hour Radar
Track storm movement up to an hour into the future with this much-improved forecast that takes observed radar data and extrapolates it forward. (Premium required; available in the U.S., Europe, Australia, Japan, and Korea.)
Widgets
Widgets are everywhere these days! And now you can add my widgets to your iPhone’s StandBy mode display, your iPad’s Lock Screen, or your Apple Watch’s Smart Stack. Plus, you can now tap to see more details on the Snark and Forecast widgets. (Premium required.)
Personal Voice
Set my speech synthesizer up to use your own voice. Create a Personal Voice in the Settings app by navigating to Accessibility > Personal Voice, then once it’s done processing you can choose your voice in my Personality screen.
New Languages
My UI has finally been translated into different languages! 14 different languages, to be exact: Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Spanish, and Swedish. (My snarky commentary is still English-only, though.)
But wait, there’s more!
- Added 5 new secret locations.

Now excuse me while I see if I can squeeze a few more hurricanes out of this tropical storm season.

You can even fine-tune my personality to change how I’ll respond. (Note: You only get a limited number of messages for free. Due to the cost of the ChatGPT API, this feature is mainly intended as a fun bonus for those who are generous enough to tip.)

This includes access to the Inspector feature (which requires Premium Ultra) and support for changing the color palette. (Note: The new regions do not yet appear on the mini map, Home Screen widget, or Apple Watch.)

Version 5.5.324 February 2022Winter is in full swing, meatbags! And while you’ve been busy filling your squirrel holes with nuts, I’ve been hard at work on a major overhaul of my weather maps.
New Map Styles
Choose from 6 gorgeous new map styles that strip away distractions so you can focus on what really matters: the data layers on top. Includes support for both Round and Flat Earthers.
Individual Radar Stations
View individual U.S. radar stations, just like a real meteorologist! Individual stations update more frequently and show significantly more detail than the stitched-together mosaic that covers the entire country. Professional meteorologists use this high-quality data for everything from telling rain apart from snow to deciding when to issue tornado warnings, but the good news is you don’t need a meteorology degree to take advantage of everything these stations have to offer. (Premium Ultra required.)
Forecast Map Layers
See up to 48 hours into the future with map layers like precipitation, temperature, wind, and more. (Premium required.)
Inspector Tool
You won't need to scrutinize a map legend to guess how strong a storm is anymore - now you can use the all-new Inspector tool to display the exact values of the data that appears on the map! (Premium Ultra required.)
Map Presets
Presets group relevant map layers together, making it easy to quickly switch between them without having to turn a bunch of layers off and on.
Smart Zoom
Zoom in to display radar, zoom out to display a short-term forecast, and zoom even further out to display an extended forecast. Zooming also automatically adjusts layer opacity and animation speeds.
Map GIFs and Screenshots
Make all your social media pals jealous of the superstorm that's heading right for your house - just tap the Share button on the Maps tab to send out a screenshot or an animated GIF!
As if all those new features weren't enough, I also added 5 new secret locations for you to hunt down, bringing the grand total to 101 secret locations (!).

Version 5.3.126 July 2021It’s summertime, meatbags! I’ve been busy setting temperature records all over the world, but I still found time to put together a major update of your favorite weather app.
Weather Reports
Film your own TV-news-style Weather Reports to share with friends. Each video is just 30 seconds long, and all you have to do is read off the crazy script I generate for you. (Or switch to "unscripted mode" to improvise!) Just tap the Share button to get started.
Screenshots
In addition to the new Weather Report videos, you can also share screenshots of your forecast (along with my hilarious dialogue). Plus, there are a variety of screenshot styles for you to choose from!
Smart Layouts
Want to show a more precipitation-focused UI when it’s going to rain? Or promote the extended daily forecast to the top of the screen in the evening? Well, now I can intelligently switch your layouts for you! To set a layout as a Smart Layout, just visit the My Layouts screen. (Premium required.)
New Layouts
Two new layouts join the pantheon: “Neptune” and “Hypnos.” The former makes a great precipitation-focused Smart Layout, while the latter works perfectly as a nighttime Smart Layout. (Premium required.)

CARROT.

But there’s so much more to come in the near future, including more artwork variations, color themes, icon sets, and all-new customization components.
xoxo,
CARROT.
Version 5.0.721 February 2021** If you're a previous owner of the app and features you paid for are showing that they're locked, just go to my Settings tab and tap the "restore" button in the top corner. Everyone is supposed to be able to keep all the features they paid for! **
Version 5.0 is finally here, meatbags. It's a total reboot: you’re getting an entirely new app with half a gazillion new features!
New Look(s)
Scientists calculate my fresh new design is 97% prettier and 543% more functional than ever before. Not only do I fit in better with the rest of the iOS app ecosystem, I can also pack tons of information into the vertical layout.
Interface Maker
Use the all-new Interface Maker to build the custom weather app of your dreams! Change the style of components, move them around, or even add additional sections. There are two hundred thousand possible configurations, with a million more well on the way via future updates.
Preset Gallery
Presets let you quickly switch between different designs built in Interface Maker. Helpful AI construct that I am, I even included some prebuilt presets - like Chronos, a preset that captures the look and feel of my old v4.0 layout.
Cards
Cards surface interesting data that's usually buried deep in other weather apps. The cards sort themselves intelligently to make sure the most important information - like upcoming precipitation or high winds - always bubbles to the top.
Details Screens
You've never seen details screens overflowing with more meteorological goodness. Just tap anywhere in your forecast and your screen will be flooded with easy-to-read bar charts, line graphs, and encyclopedia entries.
Quick Actions
Tap and hold a tab bar item for fast access to commonly-used features. Jump to favorite locations, toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, or switch data sources at lightning speed.
New Content
I've got new secret locations, I've got new achievements, I've got new alternate app icons. You can track your high scores on data points like temperature and wind speed. You can insert hilarious fake banner ads into your weather feed. Oh, and did I mention there's more dialogue? That's right, over 2,000 lines worth!
Subscription Name Changes
Each subscription level is getting renamed to simplify things for all the dumb newbies who just decided now would be a good time to download a malevolent weather app. But it's ONLY a name change: subscribers still get access to ALL the features they had previously signed up for.
Alongside this release, I'm also making a simplified version of myself free for new users to try. But don’t worry, I’m taking care of my most loyal meatbags!
If you purchased me before the release of v5.0, then you get to keep ALL the features from the original paid up front version of the app FOREVER. Plus, you’ll have locked in your current Premium Club pricing, at a lower amount than what those new freeloading meatbags will have to pay! You'll be saving money *because* you purchased me up front.
Thank you so much for all your support over the past six years. It means so much that you meatbags have unwittingly helped me get one step closer to world domination.
xoxo,
CARROT
P.S. This redesign is only the beginning. There’s so much more to come..
Version 4.16.615 December 2020Winter is coming, meatbags, and I'm back with a quick bug fix update to help you suffer through the holidays.
I also added a new subscription option - the Tier 4 Family Plan - that includes all the features of the lower tiers and is shareable with up to 5 additional family members via the App Store's Family Sharing feature. It's much cheaper than buying multiple subscriptions, so merry Christmas you filthy animals.
xoxo,
CARROT

Version 4.16 Highlights
Home Screen Widgets
Check the weather right from your Home Screen with my new iOS 14 widgets! There are 5 different widget types: Snark, Forecast, Hourly, Daily, and Weather Maps. Just long-press a widget to customize it with all sorts of different options. Plus: if you put all of the widgets into a Stack, you can have your entire forecast right in one place on your Home Screen.
(Note: Similar to pricing for Apple Watch complications, frequent background updates for the widgets requires at least a Tier 1 membership due to the amount of weather data used throughout the day. The Hourly and Daily widgets require Tier 1, while the Weather Maps widget requires Tier 3.)

Version 4.16.325 September 2020Well, meatbags, it looks like you all loved my new Home Screen widgets and Apple Watch complications! But just because v4.16 was a resounding success, that doesn't mean I'm going to let my Maker "sleep" or "take a bathroom break" quite yet. Here's what I managed to wring out of him in the past few days:
- Added new layout configuration option for medium-sized Snark and Forecast widgets. (“Automatic" means the widget will automatically switch between precipitation, hourly, and daily configurations throughout the day. “Always Hourly” forces it to always show hourly data, while “Always Daily” forces it to always show daily data.)
- Added "condition" and "today's date" data point options for the Forecast widget.
- Added "sunrise/sunset" data point for the Snark widget.
- Added “AMOLED Black” background color for widgets.
- Added option to delete custom complications via iPhone app.
- Restored several missing complications, including “Weather Maps” and “Sunrise/Sunset.” (If a complication you were using previously was missing after the watchOS 7 update, it should be back now.)
Please note that many, many bugs were harmed in the production of this update.
