✓ Very engagingI found this book to be surprisingly engaging. Too often so called interactive books end up a mess of distracting elements. In contrast, the subtle animations and interactive elements in this book are interesting but not intrusive. My only suggestion would be to tone down the font size changes on some pages a tad. I understand the purpose but, sometimes, they drew attention away from the meaning of the text rather than, as undoubtedly intended, towards it. The book does not offer the enormous scope of information and depth of experience seen in, say, The Waste Land by Touch Press or even The Tempest by Heuristic, but that isn't its intention. In contrast, this is a book designed to be read and enjoyed in a classic linear fashion, albeit with some embellishments along the way. Very well done. I'm looking forward to trying some Wilde in this format..Version: 1.3

✓ Really neat idea- if using it to teach childrenI found this to be a humerus app. Overall a great way to introduce young ones to the classics. Enjoyed the story, however there should be more than one action item to click on per scene. Also it's just a simple interactive story where one can only follow one path. Make it one in which the reader chooses a path to assist in the investigation, and then either gets it right or leads to a dead end or a fatal decision. Then one could start over until they get the decisions correct that leads to a successful ending. Still, over all, with a few tweaks this would be a great learning tool for teachers and students to learn the classic s.Version: 1.1

The drawings were at times a surprise when they moved. And more fun there could not be discovering which bits were more than they appeared. My only criticism is that I wish the drawing style was less like a cartoon as it detracted from the mood of the story. The drawings made the story less intense, less sinister than it should be. ✓ Brilliant, but……very expensive! I have the iPoe, iLovecraft, & iDickens books and they're all wonderful and very engaging…but I do think more would be sold if they were cheaper. Also, instead of bringing out another app (like the iPoe collection), is there no way you could just update the first one? It saves a lot of messing around and would be much easier on the user. This story is beautifully illustrated and it's very engaging for all ages. My children are looking forward to reading it too..Version: 1.0

To my preference, the best experience when it comes to reading is by honoring the author's intentions. Therefore, I've only given iclassics a chance after being familiar with the original writings. The way in which we can now have technology and classics working together side-by-side is going to alter instruction for the better. The vivid images and interactive components of these works not only make older texts accessible to today's generation, but also make it to where they actually have a DESIRE to continue reading. As an 8th grade teacher, I use Sherlock Holmes stories in my lessons, and this has made a very large impact in how my students comprehend and interact with the literature.
