Harmonomics Ear Training for Positive User Reviews

Relative pitch, perfect pitch, chords, progressions, scales, so goodThis app is the best for ear training. It should be a required app for amateur and professional musicians. I was just wanting an one octave relative pitch app. This is so much more even with perfect pitch. I like the awards as well. I’ve gotten 60% to 90% on one’s I’ve tried. I’ve just begun and didn’t think I had a very good ear. I love this app so much, thank you for making it. This app is a steal at this price..Version: 2.0.5

This appI like this app a lot.Version: 1.20

FantasticThis app is brilliant for ear training. The exercises are laid out methodically and the hands free option means the ear training without tiring the eyes looking at the screen. Highly recommended..Version: 2.0.5

Best Ear-Training AppAwesome and fun to use. Really helps me grow as a musician..Version: 1.32

Almost there!Killer app! However, on some chromatic exercises, you can’t hit the “B note BC the “Show” and “next” button take off the sensor. Would love to see that fixed. Otherwise, keeps me challenged!!.Version: 2.0.5

The best ear training app availableThis is the best ear training app I've found on the App Store. I started ear training about 6 months ago and I've purchased about 7 ear training apps. I've searched the App Store several times and for some reason I had never seen this one before. This one is the most comprehensive and includes many features I had been looking for, but haven't found in other apps. The hands free mode is a must for me. For my work I do a lot of driving. The other hands free apps I've found are very limited with the options and I started to hit some plateaus. Honestly, for the price this app is a steal. You'd have to buy several apps to get all the features of this one, and you'd still be missing some functionality..Version: 2.0

Fantastic, but other keys please!Great app, but some of the functions (diatonic major melody, for instance) are only available in C major. When doing these sort of exercises, I like to imagine myself playing along on my instrument. It’d be great to have other keys to practice in..Version: 2.0.7

Great app!Everyone should get this app regardless of skill level. Nice work Nastos!.Version: 1.0

Best Ear TrainerI've been through almost all of the ear training apps in the App Store and this is by far the most comprehensive and versatile app. It's fairly jazz focused, which I like, but it has endless challenging exercises that are sure to stretch the ears of any musician..Version: 1.32

Awesome (the best I’ve tried) but...It would be perfect if there was an enharmonics enabling feature for display and answers. Then I would give it 5 stars. Thanks!.Version: 3.1.8

Best ear training app. Period. The app designer/developer is a world-class musician and a heck of an app creator. This app is highly programmable so you can get exactly what you want from it..Version: 1.20

A tuner ... for your self!!As a player that has a decent to above average ear- using relative pitch (... my own self appraisal based on considerably accurate transcriptions I’ve done of works or solos from instruments that are both my own and other instruments ; real-time response to harmonic or melodic stimuli within live improvised playing situations ), I find this app really challenging and fun. You can chart your progress and see your challenges. For example : it is interesting to see that i consistently has problems correctly identifying perfect fourths or fifths - as I would get confused of the vantage point and incorrectly identify one for the other and the inverse - a problem of perspective. The categories of exercises cover a wide array of ways to qualify one’s current aptitude and offer alternative approaches for assessing material with a healthy range of criteria across the intervallic ; melodic and harmonic spectrum. I found this app at a great time in my musical development and I find anytime spent using it to be of value and generative. It can be a little stressful to know a timer is ticking as you hesitate to produce an answer ; along with being a little bummed when you see your score ( if it’s less than what you’d like it to be), but it is an honest and somewhat objective proof of where your ear is at for the moment. There is a self imposed emphasis I’ve placed on have deep stuff to play or say musically ( and I’m sure that will continue )... but all that pursuit only stands to benefit from returning to something fundamental and crystallize a further attenuation with arguably the most basic aspect : how I listen..Version: 3.1.3

Best ear training appBY FAR the best ear training app I've ever used, and trust me I've used a lot. Perfect for jazz musicians and people looking to further their ear. Killin.Version: 2.0

So easyReally, really useful app. I saw improvement right away..Version: 3.0

10/10This is by far the best ear training app I’ve found. I’m a professional jazz musician and there’s plenty here that I find difficult. Along with exercises you’d find in other apps like intervals and perfect pitch, there are exercises exploring chords with extensions (not necessarily in root position), chord progressions and melodies against chords. All the exercises are completely customisable, so no matter what your skill level there’ll be something here for you..Version: 2.0.5

Solid, great for beginners or professionals -- a good dealI am delighted with this well-designed set of aural skills practice tools! I've had it over a year, use it regularly and have benefited from it. A tremendous range of user-tailor able exercises are included. The flexibility in the setting controls it offers is motivating and more complete than in similar apps I've tried. The designer is a professional performing musician and his seriousness and depth of expertise is evident in the design and range of what is included. He also keeps improving the app and is responsive to questions/suggestions. Recommended!.Version: 2.0

Amazing.I’ve spent years not actively doing any ear training and not thinking it even necessary as a musician. This app has shown me the depths of my ignorance. It has exercises for beginners to experts and in between and is feature rich so you won’t ever get lost in theory. After using this app for a month, I have progressed in my practice and my recognition of sounds, intervals, chords and progressions has matured. Like anything, ear training takes practice. But I wouldn’t want to practice any other way..Version: 3.1.8

#1 Ear training app!A great app for anyone looking to improve their musical skills! Highly recommend!!.Version: 1.0
