Model 15 Modular Synthesizer for Negative User Reviews

Brrilliant on iOS, terrible on MacSays it works on this Mac. It doesn't. The sound sounds like scraping a wooden toothbrush over sandpaper while put through several bitcrushers and distortion pedals. Now that may be your bag, but in my case, my bag certainly has gone soggy and it now has a hole at the bottom. Sort it out!!.Version: 2.2.26

Would give it five stars but...This thing is so much fun, especially on a mobile device. Learning to patch a Moog system has been a very rewarding experiance, which has produced a bunch of really awesome sounds. When I turned off "ECO" mode the sound gained a little extra sparkle that reminds me of my analog gear! I love the clip recorder too so I can make little james and save them to sample or chop up in my DAW later. HOWEVER: the dots on the knobs are so tiny that it's difficult to see the position sometimes even on my 27" screen, let alone on a mobile device. It makes this beautiful synth a real chore to use sometimes. It's such a problem that I decided to dock two stars. It's that bad. Moog should take notes from Arturia's designers, who have solved this problem already on their Moog clones..Version: 2.2.25

MidThe sounds are great. It’s way to much of a hassle to patch though. Even controlling parameters is arduous on this graphic interface . I will enjoy it for its presets but can never see myself programming this thing. The point of the original is to have everything visible and immediately accessible to you. That is not the case with this app and perhaps can’t be. Scrolling and scrolling while trying to hold a patch cable is a lot.. So as long as you go into this with lower expectations, I think you’ll be alright. I will enjoy it as a collection of presets..Version: 2.2.28

I-Phone X compatibility issuesThe keyboard is at the bottom where the (home swipe button) is which makes it nearly impossible to play without interruption. The cables are difficult to interact with, even when I’m zoomed in. The reason I’m giving 3 stars instead of one is because the sounds are fantastic and the presets are abundant. PLEASE UPDATE THE SOFTWARE FOR 5 STAR REViEW :).Version: 2.1.3

Ha! Funny yes?Well, does it sound good? ..........Yes I think so. Is it an au instrument?....... Yes. Can you run multiple instances of this au instrument that sounds good? ........No, no you cannot. My iPad isn’t “old” by any any means. This is a fail, but as far as Moog are concerned? Ha! It’s Moog isn’t it? It’s not a Moog, it’s software, and it fails at that. Wasted rubbish.Version: 2.2.0

5 stars when the macOS AU worksUntil then can't use in ableton....Version: 2.2.14

Sounds stunning, but.A great looking great sounding synth app. One of the best. And it's had an update so we can run it as an AUdio Unit So why only three stars? Because if I run more than one instance as an AU it immediately crashes even with highest buffer settings An update for Pro users to enjoy only. Hope Moog provide an update so we can all use it.Version: 2.0.1

Was great appWhen will this app be fixed for iPads pro ? It was an awesome app until I got 2018 iPad Pro now instead of running super smooth I get crackles pops and other crashes even when nothing is running in the background Wish moog and apple get their sht together n fix this issue on now an unusable $50 app If you can’t get your act together please refund my money.Version: 2.1.3

RUBBISHApp NEVER works properly. DONT PURCHASE... SAVE YOURSELF.Version: 2.1.6

Not good on small screens. Not sure what the experience might have been like for other users, but using this app on an iPhone 5s (and assumingly on a IPhone SE) is a bit of a nightmare. The interface is far too small to be able to read it properly and it is hard to patch while zoomed in. The sound is fantastic, but the interface needs to be changed for smaller devices. Multi tab selection per module might have been better..Version: 1.1.1

Decent app(s) but money grab from their fansThat I have to pay for both platforms (iPad and iPhone) AND pay twice for same sound packs for both platforms when both apps are the same engine (same version even) gets you one star. Quit ripping off loyal customers..Version: 2.0.6

Unstable, unusableConstant crashes. Every few minutes Logic will report "an AU is causing the system to become unstable, please quit an relaunch logic. " This needs fixed, until then its worthless..Version: 2.2.7

UI doesn’t fit right on 12.9” iPad ProFirst this is a great sounding and looking app .. good enough for pro studio work. My only quibble is on my 12.9” first and second generation iPad Pro’s when you scroll the the synth panel up and down it jiggles from side to side a bit, another words if your finger moves at all side ways while you are moving the panel to get to the knobs you need the panel also moves from side to side .. just a minor annoyance to us OCD types..Version: 2.1.18

Scale feature does not workScale feature doesn’t work. The issue persists after uninstalling and reinstalling the app. Issue occurs in iOS 14 and iOS 15 on both an iPhone and iPad. Also, they removed the original animoog from the app store(not animoog z) which i paid for which is the equivalent to robbery, so it only exists on my iPad until I need to restore or I get another device at which time I won’t be able to get it back. They are asking $30 bucks for the new animoog z which is amazing but who’s to say they don’t take that off the app store after taking my money. Unacceptable on so many different levels. I only gave this 1 star because I had no other option. It does sound great though if it works properly or remains on the app store after you pay for it..Version: 2.2.11

You'll need a 12.9 iPad Pro and external keyboardSo this synth sounds great. And the skeuomorphic design looks good. It's just a UI that is not user friendly on a regular sized iPad. With the keyboard loaded the synth area is far less than half the screen. The labels are very small, and there is a lot of continual zooming and unzooming and panning required. And also there is a lot of loading and unloading of the keyboard to test the sound if an external keyboard isn't available. If I was already familiar with the interface from using an actual Model 15, then it might be okay (and surely not many of us will have had that chance). But to learn how to patch as I go is a real pain. As is trying to analyze how preset patches are put together. At the very least I would suggest updating with the option of a smaller keyboard, one that doesn't take up a third of the screen. Or more so an alternative digital interface that fits on the screen and functions more simply. Being a slave to the original look, while kind of a novelty, is just not that functional. And I am growing fatigued of this before I have even begun to learn how to program it..Version: 1.1.4

This is a great app!On any platform, ok bit of a challenge on an iPhone. But hey you can make it work. I love the clockable delay also sounds amazing. But since iOS 11 updates the UI glitches and generally responds poorly. Navigating through sound presets is most easy to spot the poor responsiveness. This app used to be flawless and sound amazing. I hope we can get this fixed or I kinda wish i had my old IPhone 7 and old model 15 back. Fingers crossed..Version: 2.0.2

Serious Clipping terrible audio qualityI did not expect this app to sound this horrible on iPad Air 2. It says it worked with my iPad but every key I press no matter which preset there’s serious clipping or Loud Clicking sounds that I can’t seem to get rid of, what a waste of money. No app support no way to troubleshoot or get my money back.Version: 2.0.2
