β Fix neededThis is a great little game, and thoroughly enjoyable. The little story that plays out in cutscenes as pieces are unlocked is simple but delightful. One fixed needed: the latest update said that landscape mode was fixed, but it is not. The button for your ultimate ability blocks the view of your character and the ground, making it hard to avoid obstacles. It really hinders landscape mode, yet this game is much better played in landscape. Looking forward to the fix!.Version: 1.0.5

β Great App!This app is really great and fun. However, there is a few bugs: 1. When you fill up the energy bar more than once but not quite twice and use your power up, it resets the bar back to zero instead of staying filled up because of the second time filling it(might not be a glitch) 2. Also, it once gave me a invalid rotation error when I went to the home screen and back again. 3. Also the Game Center won't work. Other than that, it could tell you that to use power up lv. 2 you have to fill up the bar twice, but it's still a great and really fun app!.Version: 1.0.5

The graphics are part of the charm. 8-bit is, and always will be iconic. Both in graphical and audio style! πΎ Yes, one life. However, you can get health upgrades to help survive more hits. The one life provides a challenge by the way. You can watch a very short ad for that extra life, if you wish. And as for the 'buying extra life' stuff, a lot of F2P games have this completely optional feature. The game is free to play. Optional content, i.e. Extra life's, ad removal etc. are, funnily enough, OPTIONAL! This doesn't change the fact that the game is F2P (Free To Play) Just enjoy it!.Version: 1.0.5

β 2 suggestions1. Make the briefcase selectable by pressing left and right simultaneously. Fishing around for the button breaks flow. 2. Make it possible to skip the briefcase animation by tapping the screen. This animation is way to slow and sacrifices gameplay for cinematic aesthetics. But if you can skip it that shouldn't matter. Without these two easy control fixes the titular gameplay mechanic is more trouble to use than it's worth. Great music and pacing, and the videotape-incentive to learn the backstory is a fantastic idea and implemented well. I wonder if there are any areas after waterworks. Having that as the last stage is a bit anticlimactic if indeed that's the end..Version: 1.0
β AmazingI honestly really love this game, it's a great way to kill time. For people who are complaining that it's too hard, let me tell you: it's not, you just have either- terrible reflexes or a rage quit attitude. β Nitrome!This game is amazingly fun. The graphics are great and the game is almost perfect. On my iphone 6 there seems to be a tiny horizontal line on the very top of the screen. The colors of the blue background and buttons don't match.Version: 1.0
β Solid Arcade Game!Another solid entry by Nitrome! Could use a few tweaks, but otherwise it's quite an enjoyable little time waster. :) Pros: -Simple, solid controls -Cute art design -Fun gameplay Cons: -Money is quite hard to earn. This almost forces players to pay real cash for the virtual coins. This leaves a pretty bad taste of the game in the player's mouth. Would recommend having an option to double coin earnings at the end of a round by watching an ad. Also, replace the coin buying option with a $5 remove ads option. These options would still benefit the company and would keep people playing longer. -Game difficulty jumps too quickly. I've been playing games since I was six and even I can only get about two minutes into a level before there's just too many bombs falling to be able to avoid. I noticed that there seems to be other levels you can unlock by playing longer. I imagine most players will never see those levels do to the difficulty spike being this intense..Version: 1.0

β Two accessibility suggestionsI love the game for many for many of the same reasons others have shared. I didn't mind spending a little to get a boost (just noting this to say I felt invested enough to spend something). Suggestions: 1) High contast background - I don't have low vision but an option to make the background a flat neutral color or fade it will go a long way for everyone. Those glowing shots are a nightmare to track. 2) Double tap Glissant slide - Swiping down to slide feels really awkward. It would be much easier to perform with a simple double tap on the left or right. (Also, I'm having a hard time understanding Glissant. Is he supposed to be a "hard mode" character? I get the vibe that it's for players who want to focus on skill alone. However the slide is only good in very very niche situations given how important precise movement is. If that's what you were shooting for, yay? I'm still trying to get his video D:).Version: 1.0.5

β 8-BIT GOALSOh man, the 8-bit in this is absolutely gorgeous. I'm trying to get into that sort of art style / animation myself, so this is REALLY inspiring for me! No other IOS game pulls off this sort of style. Of course, the game is simple and I've only survived 1:00 in the timespan of having it for 10 or 20 minutes, so I still have a lot to learn about concerning the mechanics of this! I do admit that getting coins is sort of hard, so its difficult to get new characters if you don't put a lot of time and skill into this game. Unless you pay. β Epic FunThis game is so fun with a lot to it, once you start getting the parts of the story. There is the occasional fatal error that will appear if you try to open the game but DON'T WORRY! β BeautifulThis game is highly addictive, always wanting to beat your PB. I have been playing non stop for a while now on my iPad and finally got it on my iPhone, now I have an addiction on the go. The game is simplistic yet has a learning curve. You must dodge bombs by moving left and right in a finite space, there is a variety of bombs keeping you on edge of a 'four bomb' as i say, hitting you out of the blue. β True to Nitrome Style but It's Flappy Bird HardThis game is all that you've come to love from Nitrome games and more. It's rocking that classic retro look and arcade style gameplay. The in-game unlockables are pretty standard stuff but the special characters were indeed special, giving the players new powers specific to those characters. It puts a smile on your face when you see that knowing that the devs put some thought into it instead of simply just unlocking new characters for the sake of it. Now for the flaws. Ultimate Briefcase has a few of them but one such that irked me was how impossible this game felt compared to Nitrome's other titles. Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, the gameplay goes from easy to super difficult to stay alive in less than 20 seconds. Retrieving coins as a result also becomes quite a pain. Each game only manages to give me a measly 5-6. That said, I will keep playing in hopes that the devs would do something about this. I would love to see new power ups and special characters too. EDIT: I found a bug. After collecting a footage tape from one of the games while playing as Tucker, I couldn't find or view it in the footage section. Please fix..Version: 1.0

β Will be 5 starsFantastic little game, as is usual for Nitrome. But, I'm a bit disappointed. I payed for the 5k coins in support (and wanted to get all characters and power-ups), but that didn't automatically remove the ads. Then I noticed the seperate IAP to remove ads for $4....?! It's not the money but the principle that I have an issue with. If I'm spending more than the IAP that removes the ads, that should remove the ads automatically. Come on guys and gals, I love and support all your games, but this is a low blow. I hope the game is updated to remove ads for those of us that already bought an IAP..Version: 1.0.5

β Ultimate briefcase - reviewWhen I downloaded this game, I expected it to be a game that I would get disinterested in after a short period time. however, this is not the case. Nitrome is at it again with Ultimate Briefcase. this is a fun game about a businessman trying to escape a bomb shower, using his, in this situation, useless briefcase for cover. this game is the best of both worlds. it can be a game I can pick up and play for a little bit, and then put back down. however, with the playability of Ultimate Briefcase, it can also be a game that I can play for very long periods of time. I would recommend this game to anybody looking for a good game to just have some fun with. the only reason that this isn't a 5 star game is because of a slight glitch on the very top of the screen, just being a little line. it's not interfering with the gaming, though. if that is fixed, this game will be 5 stars for sure. ~ Nathan.Version: 1.0

β Fantastic title but....Ultimate Briefcase is another really enjoyable game from the Nitrome camp. It offers superb 8-bit design in both looks and sound. Where this game falls short (as is the case with most Nitrome games: see Magic Touch) is its difficulty progression. The game goes from beginner friendly to insane in under 30 seconds thus keeping inline with the Nitrome trend. Now you can speculate that all the devs are thumb bashing wizards who are maybe out of touch with the needs of the more casual gamer or that it's a clever ploy to encourage IAP's to slowly aid your progression and rid frustration. I hope it's the former but I can understand the dynamic of acquiring funds. Nitrome really design some awesome games, it'd be good if in a game like this they release an "endless" freemium version in this style with the option to upgrade to a "classic" version with levels that progress a little slower in difficulty. I would definitely purchase a few of their better titles if that were the case, this being top of the list..Version: 1.0
