Movesum for Negative User Reviews

ButYou should be able to manually add steps just in case you don’t have your phone on you.Version: 2.0

What Happened??Worked great for 3days now just shows zero steps.Version: 1.2

I want my money backSpent two hours trying to get it to work. I've given up... Couldn't find any instructions, any way to contact the company. Tried everything..Version: 1.3

MehLove the idea but it needs to connect to Fitbit..Version: 2.0

Steps stopped showingThis app worked great for a while, then stopped. Apple Health (and other apps that read steps data) are working. Movesum customer service is NON existent! Finally just deleted it from my device..Version: 1.2

BadDoesn't work at all isn't counting any of my steps walked about for a bout 20mins and still said 0.Version: 1.7

Doesn't workSuch a shame. Doesn't work..Version: 1.2

Doesnt show past daysCant see how many steps i made on previous days and how much i burned, wish app kept a 30 day history.Version: 1.8

Question,Anybody know how to allow the app to use movement data??.Version: 1.0

STUPID AND DISORDEREDThis is by far the most ridiculous idea for an app. Food should not be earned or worked off. I hope this fails miserably. I only downloaded it to tell you how DISGUSTING this is. Let people enjoy their food without shame. Idiots..Version: 2.0

Too badToo bad it doesn't work at all..Version: 1.2

Set on 0No matter what I do it stays at 0, it simply doesn't work.Version: 1.6

Does this even count steps????I got this and gave it permission to access my movement from my iPhone, but I've been walking around and it still says 0 steps. Does this actually work as a pedometer? I'm using iPhone 5c. I also can't get support help for this..Version: 1.7

Just does not workUnfortunately it simply does not work I've been walking for an hour and it states 0 steps.Version: 1.2

Nice idea, but not sure of the accuracyI like the concept for this app, making you more aware of what you eat and how many steps it takes to walk off. However, the step counter often takes a while to catch up with my steps, usually a few minutes, and it makes me wonder how accurate the counter is, as I can’t see it counting in real time..Version: 2.0

Useless without internetNice app where is the feature that allows usage without internet?.Version: 2.0

RateNot a good app. it doesn't show you how many steps you've taken. it doesn't work..Version: 1.6

Why...Why would make an app that counts steps and doesn’t allow the customers to sync it with Apple Watch or Fitbit?! Do the developers stick their phone in the waistband of their pants all day? And apart from that my Fitbit tells me I’ve done 2000 steps today and this app tells me 85. Is any of the above going to be rectified or should I just delete this app?.Version: 2.0

No steps shownLike the last reviewer it worked great for a few days then just started showing 0 steps. The Apple Health app still shows my steps properly. Hoping for a fix soon..Version: 1.2

Lol does not workEven with my Apple Watch connected, and still walking around with my iPhone, the step count remains at 0 steps. Please fix this as I love the interface and the concept of the app!.Version: 1.2

Don’t think the calories are accurateIt says that a bag of crisps is over 1000kcal. However a regular bag of crisps is only 120kcal. What kind of crisps are they using to get their information from??? If their calorie amounts are wrong, I don’t see how this app will be useful..Version: 2.0

No goodRan it for a day while walking round London. It counted 16 steps. Doesn't seem to be any way to calibrate it. So no use. 0 stars.Version: 1.0

Doesn't connect to life sumI downloaded this app assuming it would work with lifesum. Even though this app tracks my steps, I still have to manually input that into the Lifesum app. Really, guys? 2 stars because the food icons are amusing..Version: 1.1

What does ‘one beer’ mean? 🍺I love the app. It looks great and it’s really motivating. But what one earth does ‘one beer’ mean? There need to be quantities! Also a lot of the foods are American based (hotdog, popcorn). I don’t remember the last time I saw a hot dog for sale in the UK..Version: 2.0

Waste of timeIt show the equivalence between a number of steps and calories as food, but i have now idea how to make it count the steps i make in all shorts of activities. Waste of time!.Version: 2.0

ProblemThe app used to be really great but now my steps are not counting. Please fix this!.Version: 1.7

Great idea - some improvements needed...1) when touching previous day's the counter should stay on that day so that we can flick through the foods. You can currently only see the foods burnt on the current day. It's now past midnight and I can't view anything as its dropped to zero. 2) there is a bug - one day I walked 64,000 steps yet I only Burnt half as much as yesterday where I walked 30,000 steps. Makes no sense!.Version: 1.0

Not an accurate reflection of stepsSuggestions to improve would be to add features to be able to connect to step counting devices and accounts like Garmin Connect, Fitbit etc. And to be able to look back at past days steps..Version: 2.0

Simple & nice, but needs a little moreI like the premise of the app, but notifications don’t work really well and I really wish they had an Apple Watch complication that showed my steps without having to launch the app..Version: 2.0

Do not click on in app-purchase !!!The 0.99 & in app purchase, deducted 3$ from account... Great job by developers.Version: 1.6

MinimalisticThe UI is simple but engaging, however the kcal values are simply calculated from steps and don't take into account users' BMI..Version: 1.0

WatchIt would be great if this app included an Apple Watch complication for the home screen that showed current amount of steps..Version: 2.0

NoYeah so this app literally doesn't work it's said 0 steps the whole day and I've walked like 5 miles.Version: 1.3

Didn't workI had the app for 7 days and didn't work at all.Version: 1.8

Great Interface but DOES NOT WORK!Doesn't count steps and claims BROCCOLI has HIGH CARBS...? VEREMENTE??.Version: 1.8

Stays as 0!?I really hope you could fix the glitch that keeps the steps at zero seeming I know this will be a great app as I love the Lifesum app!.Version: 2.0

No stepsWorked great for a month or so but for the last couple of days it hasn't registered any steps. Please fix!!.Version: 1.2

Okay, not the bestNot very accurate... does not count all the steps i take with my phone on me. It will take a few refreshes of exiting out the app to get the count of steps to update. Cool to know how many calories and veggies i’ve burnt off tho!.Version: 2.0

I have a charge from this app but why,I have Lifesum but not this app and don’t see how I can cancel this I don’t need a counter when lifesum does it already.Version: 2.0

NopeFor some reason it's not tracking any of my steps.Version: 2.0

Didn't workI did a 2 mile walk and it didn't record one step..Version: 1.8

Interesting conceptBut putting foods down to averages gives one a false idea of how quickly calories can vary due to the cooking process, food toppings, and sauces which may mean you miss your goal by several hundred calories. The burger is 495 cals, but a standard Whopper without cheese is 693 and with is 776. It does gets those not used to calorie counting to begin realising how hard you have to work to burn off fast food, though, so does its job, in a way. To improve the app I propose user edits to the food entries to further personalise the app. You could click and hold on the food images and have a drop down list appear that you could select with different types of burgers or pizzas that the user commonly eats with personal name tags like "Whopper with cheese" or "Dominos Hawaiian pizza" and linked with more accurate calories..Version: 1.5

Doesn’t workI installed Movesum on my iPhone 5, gave it access to location data, set a daily target, put it in my trouser pocket and went for a walk. Result: 0 steps..Version: 1.5

Doesn't work properlyBefore this app, i had a pedometer app called steps but since this app looked prettier and it counted as much as steps, i decided to delete steps. However after days of using this, the app doesnt properly count the amount of steps it has taken in one day.Version: 1.0

Great PotentialI’m a long time Lifesum user and this app is another fantastic addition to the family. It’s simple, clean and has a really relatable work vs reward interface by translating what the steps mean in real life. A question/ request to the developer, as I like a lot of people don’t always have my phone on me, but do have my fitness tracker (Fitbit), will you integrate a fitness tracker like you do on Lifesum to allow for a more accurate step count.Version: 2.0

Doesn't seem to work?I love the design and simplicity of this app, but I can't get it to count my steps?! Holding out for an update and hoping it'll work then as I like the concept!.Version: 1.0

Improvements NeededThis is a great idea, but at two things I feel could improve it - the capability to see history and to enter steps or km walked manually. Thx.Version: 2.0

No Fitbit connectivity!I’m a premium Lifesum user and I’d love to be able track my steps/activity with Movesum too but as it wont allow me to sync my Fitbit. I find it unreliable. I don’t always have my phone on me but my Fitbit is literally attached to my wrist everyday. Please fix this..Version: 2.0

Doesn't appear to work on iPhone 4s......running iOS 9.3.5; installed it, walked around a bit, but doesn't seem to count steps at all. Not sure what the issue is - looking for a different app..Version: 1.8

FailIt stayed at zero, even when I went for a run! ☹️.Version: 1.2

Good idea. Needs better integrationPoints for the idea - knowing how much you can eat based on your daily burn is a great motivator. But, and it a big but, this app needs a way to edit the step count you get from other sources and once they’ve done that, make it integrate with Fitbit. What good is it if I know I’ve walked 6500 steps and did an exercise class if it says I burned 45 calories today and can have a piece of celery..Version: 2.0

Data suckerI used 10 gigs of data in 3 days with this app.Version: 2.0

Step counter 👎🏻This app is exactly what I need and it's cool that it tells you how much weight you've lost by comparing it with food but the step counter itself doesn't work! Please fix this and I'll change my review..Version: 2.0

ShockingFat shaming at its best. This app feeds into body shaming, and is highly like to affect people with body image issues and associated eating disorders. So disappointed and angry that apps and other info is still around today, shockingly poor insight..Version: 2.0

Doesn't workStays at 0 steps. Paid money. Please give refund.Version: 2.0

FrustratingI had this app for barely a day and, when it synced up with the health app data on my phone, it counted the steps from other days and did not count steps for the actual day. It's really frustrating! Fix that, please, Lifesum! 🙁🙁.Version: 1.8

IPhone X support 👎🏼Incorrect screen dimensions for iPhone X. Need to pay to unlock different food. Why is this app suggesting it’s free at all?.Version: 2.0

Doesn’t work.I leave my phone down with 80 steps done. And when I go back to get my phone I’m at 234 steps!? How? I didn’t pick up my phone. Walked around without it...Version: 2.0

Steps Counter 0!Just the perfect app, apart from the fact that the steps counter doesn’t work, stays at zero. Please fix this ASAP, I need this app it looks awesome!.Version: 2.0

Fitbit integration pleaseDownloaded this app as it looked like it would be useful to tie the step count in with food, sadly now deleting the app as it does not include fitbit steps only the steps counted on my phone..Version: 2.0

Fun but inaccurateIt’s a nice app and it functions well. Only problem I had with it was the calorie inaccuracies. It would be off in the calorie amount that is in a certain item for some of them from actual calories..Version: 2.0

JunkDoesn't work!.Version: 1.6

Apple Watch ⌚️⌚️Just downloaded this so time will tell if it’s any good but what would make it better is if you made this work for the Apple Watch as well 🤔🤔.Version: 2.0

Doesn't work!It doesn't even count my steps, I don't know how to fix this problem!.Version: 1.0

Move sumDownloaded this Monday but it doesn't seem to be working and doesn't show steps days etc can someone help with this please?.Version: 1.3

Nice idea but lack of some important featuresThe idea and ui is very nice however they don’t have widget version to place on watch faces. Also they don’t keep your history of steps, so you cannot make compression in the app..Version: 2.0

Doesn't workIt only shows my steps as 0 steps.Version: 1.6

Get into from Fitbit?!Very nice app, clever idea and good design however could u plz allow it to access Fitbit data otherwise many like me cannot use it very well - ty very much.Version: 2.0

Needs improvementLove the idea of this app, just wish it was compatible with other fitness trackers such as fitbit!.Version: 2.0

DisappointingI am have been using Lifesum for a while now and recently discovered this app. I wanted to check how many steps I did, but it wasn’t working. Then, I ran for an hour straight hoping that the steps would finally work but it didn’t say I did any steps. Also, I was checking the ‘how many steps do you have to walk to burn off all of the calories’ but it said zero too. Please fix this so other users don’t feel the same way i did..Version: 2.0

Movesum/accuracyOverall, a simple fun, app to use. However, the calorie counting stops for the day after health data from other apps is imported into the Apple Health app. So it is not always accurate..Version: 1.3

Ridiculous to have to pay to unlockGreat idea, but then there is the gotcha pay if you want more foods. The whole purpose is the app is the food comparison to steps. Common now. This app should just be free..Version: 2.0

Still not workingIs this app dead ? Since 2+ years no one fixed “it doesn’t count steps at all “ problem....Version: 2.0

Poorly doneThere are no notifications, no additional features, fails the only purpose it has..Version: 1.8

Calorie burnt wrongToday I’ve burnt 294 calories so far tracked via Apple Watch the movesum app is counting 424 as much as I’d love to if burnt that much already I haven’t .... I’ve paid for something to not work?.Version: 2.0
