✓ Stay away.This app wiped out four years of work. It converted all my scrivener files to its own format and then they simply vanished from my iCloud account. Unfortunately I didn't spot it until iCloud had synced all three Macs and both iPads.... No warning dialogs. So there's about four years of work gone - precisely the reason I keep everything in the cloud..Version: 3.6.1

✓ Way too stressfulI’ve wasted a day on this, trying to sync my Scrivener for PC projects with Scrivo Pro on my iPad Pro via Dropbox, then iCloud, installing/reinstalling and generally ending up with empty documents or hieroglyphics. I need to be writing and so I’ve given up. No Scrivener on iPad for me, alas. Will just have to stick to the PC version (which is very good) and copy and paste back to the PC from Word for iPad, as I used to do. Very disappointed and a complete waste of money. ✓ Nothing like ScrivenerDespite the very cheeky name, this has no relationship to Scrivener at all. It is yet another version of notes filed in books and I’m fairly sure that it is a straight copy of a notes app I had, with a different name. ✓ Not hugely impressedI've installed Scrivo Pro on my iPad Air 2. It claims that you can import fonts and that it will Sync back-and-forth with Scrivener. 1) In Scrivener, I set up "External folder sync" through Dropbox and set one of my projects to sync. Scrivo picked up all the files; then I added a few more files in to the project on my Mac and re-sync'ed ... the files are there in Dropbox in the appropriate folder — I checked using the Dropbox app on my iPad — but Scrivo doesn't pick them up and there seems to be no way in Scrivo to get it to refresh the sync at their end. 2) When you click on "Import fonts" on the "Gear" menu, you are taken to a form to select documents to open, with no other instruction. I tried it to see what happens. Since the documents from Scrivener are in Athelas, which is not one of the fonts included, I chose the Dropbox icon and navigated to the appropriate folder; Scrivo simply gave an alert saying the folder was empty, which it clearly isn't. Hardly user-friendly..Version: 2.0
✓ Very strange interfaceFirst off, I have to use Scrivener for its Binder function. If you think Scrivo pro will add a detailed or comparable experience you may be in for a bit of disappointment. I know I was. I purchased this as a possible better or updated version to Scrivener’s IOS app, which also is missing the fundamental binder features. I need to get a refund, I can’t even open any of my scrivener projects via Dropbox or ICloud, even after following their guide. I can’t really figure out what this app is used for honestly. ✓ Waste of moneySorry guys. Syncs the RTF files like a dozen other word processing apps but doesn't sync the corkboard index cards. One of the beauties of Scrivener is the ability to move between both and re-arrange your work. Very disappointed, particularly at that high price!.Version: 2.9
✓ Won’t even openI’ve only ever used this app on my phone before for several years now. It’s okay there. I am just now trying it on my iPad, and the app won’t even open. I get the white screen with the “S” in it for a few seconds, maybe a minute, and then it crashes. On my phone, I’ve never had this issue, but even there I wouldn’t say it’s the best. It’s a bit of a disappointment tbh. There’s got to be better apps out there for iPad/iPhone. Scrivener on the desktop is the best. Still looking for a mobile program….Version: 7.3.5

✓ Template rendering poorI have found scrivener screenplay template renders with coding e.g. Slug-line INT. KITCHEN DAY displays as (something like) <$ScrivenerKeepNextLine>INT. KITCHEN DAY. And as for my UK play formatting.... It just becomes unworkable. So... a huge waste of money. Wish you could get trial periods for things like this... Legally this a loophole imho..Version: 3.3.8
✓ Warning, doesn’t not really SYNC via iCloudBought this because it says it works with iCloud... Don’t get your hopes up as it doesn’t sync with Scrivener despite what it implies. What it does do is require that you export the manuscript and then copy it in to a specific folder in iCloud. That’s not syncing and it renders the iPad app useless if you are away from your MacBook and want to work on the document..Version: 4.6.2

✓ Depends on what you are wanting....I have used Scrivener on my mac for a while now but after accepting a job traveling I was looking for a way to write on my iPad and have it sinc with the version on my Mac. If that is what you are looking for, this probably isn't your answer. I store everyone on my Mac in iCloud so I was able to import my latest story into the Scrivener iPad app, but the changes I have made on my iPad I haven't been able to get back to my Mac version. That really defeats the whole purpose. Mac Pages, Word, all since seamlessly. Why this doesn't is just frustrating. It makes both of these apps worthless if you need to be able to write on the go. ✓ ICloud sync is uselessGot this so that I could sync it with Scrivener on my Mac through the ICloud Drive. For starters this app cannot read the scrivener files, they must be set up in a rtf file. Next, while scrivener can be set up to sync I cannot make this app sync. Best it will do will be to save a separate rtf file that must be cut and paste into the folder that the scrivener syncs to. Could have done all of that with a simple text editor & saved the expense on this. This thing doesn't sync like I believed it would. It's too much trouble for me to use. Waste of money..Version: 2.6

Every attempt was met with a greyed out Scrivener file. Ergo, I wasted £9.99. I emailed the developers. No reply. On first opening the app it invited me to ‘upgrade’ to a free notetaking app. When I downloaded it, on first opening it asked me to pay £4.99. No way. Disappointed isn’t the word for it. ✓ Love it but lose too much workI use Scrivener and love it. I thought Scrivo Pro would make editing easier as I could take my iPad on the train and bus and read over work in places where it was inconvenient to pull out my laptop. Boy, was I wrong. I want to like it, and when it works, it works great. But it took forever to figure out how to sync it with Dropbox, and even now that it's synced, I've lost so many files to the syncing process (and I do mean lost - the .rtfs are empty) that this app has just made me paranoid. It doesn't seem to notice if it hasn't synced fully with Dropbox, so you can be working on an incomplete sync (even an hour after opening the app) and saving over your current file without noticing. The only way I could have avoided that was to check all 80 items in this binder were synced fully before beginning work, and I use Scrivener to make large documents easier to edit, not more tedious. I'm sure I'll keep using it since I bought it. But from now on I think I'll reserve Scrivo Pro for finished documents that need polishing, and won't require much syncing..Version: 3.3.9
✓ Not much useIt requires a dedicated folder on Dropbox to sync the scriv files, which is not much use if you have scriv files all over Dropbox within relevant folders. It doesn’t recognise aliases and does not update with Dropbox properly, not least because it says there are no scriv files in the dedicated folder on Dropbox (which has fully synced), whereas there are (and they are not aliases). It provides no benefit over using Scrivener directly. A waste of money and I would like my money back..Version: 5.2.1
