Crap companyA few years ago a membership was 5 bucks a year. That great no biggie. Then it jumps up to 15 bucks. I make plenty of money so what’s 15 bucks? This year it jumps to 30. I say to myself I’ll skip on it this year I’m not gonna spend 30 bucks on something I hardly ever use. In years past you would have to renew your membership. Not this year! They have been tried to charge me 30 bucks several times now. Fortunately I got a new card from the bank so the payment won’t go through. I’m someone who stays on top of subscriptions and since it never charged me any other year I figured this year would be the same. I hope they go under when people realize that they are screwing people over..Version: 18.4.0

Always been awesome for Disc Golf but app keeps failingHave used to play multiple different courses both personal and for work which has been great but I cannot use the app easily since middle of 2020, or the scorekeeper app to find scores.Version: 13.0.5

SadUsed to be perfectly priced . Now it’s overly priced and expensive . Not worth 50 dollars.Version: 19.2.0

Too expensiveFour years ago this app was $5, its now $40/year?.Version: 17.0.0

Great App, not worth $40This is a great app. Has pretty much all course you can think of and a lot of features when you do a course. The app is not worth $40 a year though….. More than happy to pay $20, not 40 so I’m out..Version: 19.1.0

Too many issues1. Biggest issue is lack of updates. Few years ago, support told me stat taking via Watch was in progress. Several years later and still no ability to take stats. 2. Watch app doesn’t update hole # on your phone. This impacts issue #3. 3. Bushnell jockey while using your watch doesn’t give proper distance unless you take your phone out and switch holes and then press jockey button. It still thinks your on the hole your phone thinks you’re at. 4. Bushnell jockey works 1/6 times I hit the button, even on courses I have great service on. Using iPhone 13 Pro with 5G, location services enable, background refresh enabled, etc. 5. User interface has improved greatly when looking at a course but lacks a proper start/home screen. It should default to a center button home with quick access to start round, Udisc Live, etc. It shouldn’t take 2 clicks and swipes just to view Udisc Live, one of the most used sections of the app. Why download a 2nd app? Nonetheless, I am currently not going to renew pro next year until stats come to watch. I’ve waited a few years and Udisc is the reason I bought a Watch to begin. App is still great, but doesn’t currently fit my needs as it did when I first started playing. Don’t take my review, test the app for your needs!.Version: 16.0.0

Love the appLove the app, but where is the justification for doubling the cost of the subscription?? Used to be less than $20CAD a year, and now it's doubled to 40$?! The app is good but this is ridiculous..Version: 17.0.0

Pay to PlayI used to love this app. It was way ahead of its time in terms of compiling stats from games, GPS, shot tracking, etc. But now you cannot do even the simplest of things without a “Pro Account”. I would think about buying a Pro Account if it was a reasonable price, but it’s $15 for something I just simply wouldn’t use enough to justify $15. My advice would be to make a ‘Lite’ version where you can still create scorecards but it leaves out the advanced stats and GPS. You may make some money forcing people to get a Pro Account in order to create a scorecard, but I have a feeling you’ll have many more people that just ditch the app all-together, like myself. Advice: make a lite version that you can create scorecards with that shows more advertising and offers less features. That way, you’ll keep the majority of people around who are on the line about buying a Pro Account instead of alienating them into just deleting your app..Version: 13.0.5

Great app very Predatory PricingWas loving the app until I ran into the 10 round total limit. Seriously? Not like 1-2 rounds a week free? Not you can’t do the throw tracking rounds anymore? Just nope now you have to pay $15 A YEAR. I don’t use any of the other paid features. It was also not super clear why I wasn’t able to make any more scorecards either. Had to dig deep in the website to find that “feature” Now I feel like I have to pay up to keep the stats and score cards. Apparently you can delete old scorecards to start new ones but that defeats the whole purpose of keeping track of your score! Feels like I’m paying up at gun point. Not a good feeling. You make a great app but the subscription model needs a rethink. Like maybe $3 a year for scorecards but nothing else..Version: 13.1.0

Price gaugingGreat app but I am not paying $40. To use don’t care enough to spend that kind of money. This free to play sport is getting way too expensive..Version: 18.5.0

Needs different levels for people who only want to keep scoresNeeds different levels for people who only want to keep scores. The increase in payment this year was too substantial..Version: 14.7.0

$$$20$/ year…. Very expensive.Version: 14.6.2

The Ambassador Program Is Flawed & Can Lead To GatekeepingIt’s understandable that UDisc (and legitimate course designers) don’t want Johnny Hyzer showing up and entering layouts that are inappropriate (such as putting a long-tee layout at a course that a local municipality has intended for putters only), but I have seen too many instances where ambassadors either fail to maintain the layouts or appoint themselves to turn the park into something it isn’t nor wasn’t intended to be. This has included locking a user’s abilities to make edits to layouts which have clearly changed from what’s posted on UDisc, ambassadors overtaking beginner courses to decrease pars that are contrary to signage (ex. Listing a hole as par 3 when park signage says it’s a par 4), or inappropriately listing courses as object courses despite the clear presence of baskets. This needs to be cleaned up into a system where the approval for user edits goes to the course ambassador for approval before being approved by UDisc if not answered within a specific timeframe (such as 48-72 hours) instead of preventing end users from making updates because someone else appointed themselves as course ambassador. Sorry to leave a negative review over this but it infuriates me when we were able to govern ourselves as a community before the introduction of this program..Version: 15.0.3

ÉvaluationTrès bonne application mais trop cher. J’ai d’abord payé l’application UDisc 6$, améliorer et augmenter à 20$, et ensuite 40$. Je pense que on devrait offrir une version plus abordable, à ce prix je décroche. Merci.Version: 18.4.1

The Price is WrongI am a loyal UDisc customer and a huge fan of its data-driven approach to disc golf. I love how much sentimental impact attaching even a small number of stats to rounds can have. I deeply appreciate the contributions UDisc has given to the disc golf community. But UDisc has lived long enough to become the villain. The change to 39.99 is beyond extortionate; it’s insulting. I have over 1300 rounds logged. I can no longer access any of them because I have not renewed my subscription. To disallow future round statistics is annoying and antithetical to the overall ethos of disc golf — but to strip me of my past rounds? Unthinkably unkind. Yes, this review is emotional. That is because I wish for emotions to be part of the game of disc golf: something that this profit-driven app no longer understands. UDisc used to be the app I praised to all of my friends and introduced to all new disc golfers. It is now a greedy sliver of malware that will be long forgotten by the disc golf community when a more fiscally appropriate option becomes available. This app is a double bogey..Version: 18.3.2

Infuriating bug on an otherwise good appBeen using this app for a long time and love it. The subscription is well worth it at less than the cost of one disc. I’m writing this review because sometime within the last month or two there’s been an update that causes the app to restart every single time I’m keeping score and switch to use a different app and then switch back. I do this all the time during rounds to text someone, change what music I’m listening to, check sports scores, etc. Please fix this bug because this is absolutely infuriating to me! TIA.Version: 16.2.10

Used to really like the app but $30 is too muchHad a great time using the app. $30 is way too much for the features offered. I guess I will be a basic player and not get an stats anymore. $15 is much more reasonable. I paid initially $5 then $15…$30 for year 3 is ridiculous . I am willing to invest is a decent product but they have up’d the price every year and haven’t changed their product. Why you still havent made significant improvements to friends you can add. It’s basically an app to add scores which a little clicker can do or I can keep score in my head. Most tournaments use pdga live scoring now. I have seen a big drop off in usage in a competitive sense probably because of these ridiculous price hikes.Version: 18.3.2

Good scoring appI like how the app keeps track of your score, it’s easy to move between one hole and the next and summary after 9 holes. You can add other players. Holes are mapped making it easy to find if first time playing a course. Can search for courses and select the course layout for long or short tees etc. Easy to keep track of OB, and where you land. What I would like to see added is an option to keep tack of mulligans and touch basket. Right now have to use notes and that takes to long. Score data in the profile is helpful but would like to see a filter by course..Version: 14.1.0

Confused and frustratedGreat features but doesn’t work consistently. I have recorded far fewer than a dozen rounds and had fatal problems with at least 4. Not a good track record. Mapping/measuring feature is spotty at best, seemingly getting lost and thinking I am suddenly more than a mile away from one hole to the next. This happens in the middle of a city with 4-5 bars on my phone. One moment +/-16 feet, next I have 6241 ft to the next tee. Shot entry is buggy. On 2 occasions (of my handful of rounds) after recording the first throw, it refused to let me enter any more shots, forcing me to abandon the app for that round. Closing the app and reopening nuked my record keeping on the previous holes. For some strange reason my nuked records showed up on my partner’s phone, but I was unable to continue. The slider on the bottom of the screen to switch holes is way too sensitive, often changing holes in my pocket. When you add a shot as “in the basket” it should lock that hole and move on to the next. Really really confused by the 4.9 rating given my extremely frustrating experience with the basic score keeping function..Version: 15.1.3

Great app, but not free!!!To use any real features (like keeping score) you must register as a pro user ($7 a year). I loved the app and the free trial it gave me, but was caught off guard when it would no longer allow me to create score cards...you know the one thing I want the app to do. It would be 5-star if it allowed free users to create score cards. Will be looking for another app!.Version: 10.1.4

What are you doingThese new updates are TERRIBLE! Who wants to specify on absolutely EVERY stroke? Absurd. Get rid of it please!.Version: 10.0.3

Doubled in price and no real new featuresI’m out. I had to be talked into $20 a year. $40 a year and can’t look at other peoples profiles or direct message anyone. No chance..Version: 18.4.1

One of the best features is GONESince I began using this app regularly about two years ago it changed my disc golf experience completely. I love it and it has helped me complete courses that are nearly un-navigable without its maps, not to mention find them in the first place. It is truly essential for disc golf players. However, I am reducing my rating from five stars to three now because of the latest update. In 2021 I used the course locator feature to plot day trips in eight states and played 102 unique courses. This was made possible by the fact that when you selected a course you could zoom in and find all the nearby courses. All the details were there as you looked at the more localized map. Suddenly about two weeks ago the app was updated and that feature was removed! Improvement?! Ha, they took off one the best parts of the app. I had to exchange a half dozen emails with support to get them to understand what I had been doing. I can’t believe I’m the only person who used this feature. Now when you zoom in all the neighboring courses magically disappear and you must go to the general course location view to see what courses exist nearby. PLEASE put this feature back!.Version: 15.1.3

Great app, until I was going to get charged to use it.This was a great app and I thought it was developed by someone who wanted to see the sport develop, rather than make money from those who enjoy the sport. This was the reason I contributed to mapping courses in my local area, only to find the next time I log in I’m being asked to pay $$$ to get the pro version. Disappointed..Version: 10.2.3

Sub ran out, now unusableI have been a huge fan of this app and used it for the last couple of years. I upgraded to Pro to be able to share scorecards across my friends so that only one of us would have to score, but we could all still see our stats over time. Last year I joined a league for the first time and got a huge benefit out of the events features. It’s a great app, but only when you pay for the subscription. Due to some life changes this year, I was unable to play at all this summer. I played my first and second rounds of disc golf this week (late September). I found out that my subscription expired two weeks ago and I can no longer create scorecards. I literally can’t even use the basic feature of the app. Given that I live on MN and probably won’t be playing any more disc this season, it really doesn’t make sense to pay for the subscription. Very disappointed in this choice of model by UDisc, I should at least be able to create scorecards and track my own progress, even if I can’t share with friends. At the moment, I cannot recommend the app except to dedicated league members..Version: 15.0.3

OverpricedNot renewing at $40 a year. Doubling the price is just gouging due to the growing popularity of the sport..Version: 17.0.1

CostBeen using it for a couple years Was quite the price jump to renew my membership this year.Version: 13.1.2

Pay to playThe app was great for logging scores and showing improvement in performance UNTIL the free trial ran out. I expected the trial to end when it did, but did NOT expect to no longer be able to create scorecards. App developer, we appreciate your work to make this app’s functionality convenient and fun, but don’t even try to justify to app users that a maximum of 10 scorecards is a good perk of the app without the Pro account; we don’t buy it. Creating scorecards is the most basic feature of this app and you’re taking it away. I would like to suggest a change as others have done: make a lite version with basic features such as creating unlimited scorecards, but leave out some other more advanced features that only Pro users can access. Besides, you may get several users (mostly pros and extremely dedicated players) to buy into this, but your overall community (devout players, occasional players, and newcomers) will delete the app because they refuse to pay for something that’s not worth it. Please take our advice — we love this app and want to enjoy it, but we won’t use it until you make a change!.Version: 13.0.5

Great app, hefty price.Excellent app for disc golf, some great features and easy to use. Price point has increased dramatically over the last two years though and has put me off a subscription renewal..Version: 18.5.1

New pricing is pure robberyNo way do the changes they’ve announced justify a 100% increase in price. In fact it’s been a 500% price increase since the pandemic. Incredibly disappointed by the pure greed of the developers – especially with the amount of bugs for a $40 CAD app..Version: 17.1.6
