✓ Do not download!!! Please read before getting itMy bird ,Oliver, he keeps on getting out of his cage so I wanted to record him and see how he got out. ✓ ScoreI would purchase and this and it would be the best video recording app, except ---I wrote to the developers to say there is no front facing camera option. They said they were at it in the next update. Then later said there would be no updates in the near future. Additionally, The focus and the exposure icons are completely different than the majority of video recording apps on the market. If you're used to working with filmic pro this will mess you up. I asked if they could reverse this. Again I said yes but then later said it would not be anytime soon. Bummer because I would certainly pay if this app had to use two things fixed..Version: 1.03
✓ Great App - No ServiceThe app is brilliant for what it’s supposed to do. However, there is no customer service as I am aware of. A clip was accodentally deleted from the app and I emailed the company as well as messaged them on the app to ask of there is any way to retrieve the clip. No response after 2 weeks. Extremely disappointed with a lack of reply as I used this app as an alternative to Filmic Pro. A shame, as everything else on the app itself is fantastic.Version: 1.10
✓ DisappointedThis app looked perfect when I installed it and got it running on my 2019 iPad Air. I particularly wanted to be able to utilise my Zoom H5 audio interface and the app picked this up straight away. When I pressed the record button, the app crashed and I couldn’t get it to restart until I’d shut down the iPad and started it up again. This is such a pity, because I was really impressed with functionality and would have been prepared to pay for the upgrade version. I hope the developer can fix this problem..Version: 1.10

✓ Ongoing ReviewUpdate: It crashed the first time I attempted to record 4K 60fps. I closed all other apps and it seems to be okay for now. I haven't recorded more than a minute of video at a time yet. IPhone X. ----- I just downloaded this app and will be updating the review over the course of this month (February 2018). I recently purchased an iPhone X and the stock camera app is ridiculously basic considering the advanced technology in the front and rear cameras of this phone. ✓ Nice for the price but needs more featuresGreat little app for the price. However there are some big things missing. The two main things that stand out is no saving to the camera roll so that you can edit in another program. Another big miss is that fact you can’t post right from the app to social media accounts. ✓ No dual camera support - iPhone XSWhen selecting 2x zoom, even in good light, the telephoto lens is NOT used (I can cover it with my finger, yet the app still shows an image). It is instead cropping the video from the wide-angle lens, which results in poor video quality. Switching to the native camera app, in the same conditions, and selecting 2x zoom does indeed use the telephoto camera. Please fix and I shall amend my review..Version: 1.10
✓ Great but very unstableThe app seems very good and has many controls to change the exposure and shutter speed as well as the aspect ratio and it clearly competes with Filmic pro but does not do a job as good as it, but does improve on what the IPhone X camera is already. It seemed a very good app for its price but it was very unstable till the point the app does not open anymore after restarting the entire iPhone and this is a critical issue, more updates by the developers are needed to make this app have less bugs but if there isn’t when you are seeing this, do not get buy this app in case of the risk of wasting your money and try and save up for filmic pro..Version: 1.10
✓ It’s mehFor an app that claims be to be “pro” it doesn’t bring much to the table in terms of full control. For example you can control the shutter speed but if you try to change the change the exposure the app undoes your settings in order for you control it. Compared to Filmic Pro which gives you full control over the camera’s exposure settings. Also, unlike Filmic Pro, this app doesn’t have false color or focus peaking, which you would think would come built in into an app carrying the title of “Pro”. Despite my gripes over the lack of full exposure and camera control it does do some things well. I like how easy it is to set your resolution and control the zoom, focus, and shutter of the camera. However, the lack of full control over the camera is what, to me, earns this app a 3/5..Version: 1.10
✓ LiesLet me start with this: this is in general a good app for filming videos, but if you are looking for something with FULL manual, which this app claims to have, then you are not in the right place. It has manual control, but everything starts out in auto, and there is no setting to turn it into manual. It labels the aperture as exposure, and whenever you adjust it, it immediately adjusts the iso and the shutter speed in order to amplify the change. If you set one setting to a specific value, no matter what you do, you will always find it wandering back to whatever the app's crappy AI system thinks is best. It will not let you follow the 180 shutter rule, and you cannot adjust the aperture for depth of field without ruining previously set settings. The anamorphic setting doesn't crop the image, it stretches it, resulting in displaced gnarly images, and lastly, this app that claims to be free, in reality costs $2.99 to remove a watermark. ✓ Great App; Poor Service; Needs WorkWhile this app is awesome in overall functionality indeed, I find it disappointing to say the least that it does not seem to support backing up content directly to iCloud or other cloud services and does not make that clear. This makes it difficult if I have to export videos to another device or manually to a cloud after every use to ensure they’re captured and kept when storage is low. I had to restore my phone recently due to some software issue, and while everything else was backed up to iCloud, this app wasn’t, so I lost a TON of content with little to no hope of recovery. If it’s going to promote being for iOS users, why not fully support iOS functionality? Overall, I have enjoyed using it, but certain features or the lack thereof should be made more clear. In 2021, if I purchase an app on one iOS device and have automatic downloads enabled, I expect the app AND THE CONTENT to be on each of my other devices. This app needs cloud functionality within itself for a better user experience..Version: 1.10
✓ Good app but ...Why the wholly unnecessary large yellow ‘sticker’ permanently on-screen reminding the user to pay £2.99 if they want the watermark removed?? If the intention is to annoy the hell out of any prospective purchaser so that they can’t even test the app out unhindered, then well done you’ve succeeded. Trouble is, because of this approach I’ve decided not to bother at all and deleted the app for one that doesn’t assault the sensibilities of potential new customers. ✓ No location and no HDRI bought this because it has a usable level tool that helps me frame shots when using one of those articulating tripod mounts. However, I have discovered that it does not add recording location metadata to the video (i.e. the GPS coordinates of the recording) and it doesn’t record in HDR (Dolby Vision) on an iPhone 14 Pro Max. At least, I cannot find a setting in the app for either of those things. Note that I have to use the triple lens mode to get the same framing I do with the stock camera app set to “0.5 zoom”. The stock app records location metadata and in HDR at the same zoom level. Other than that, this seems like a nice app with more controls than the stock app. But for my usage, I’ll just have to use the Measure tool to level for framing and the stock app for recording..Version: 1.11.6
✓ Does not support recent iPhone pro’s tele lens.I was shocked to see the terrible quality of the video shot with this app over the default camera app. As it turns out, my iPhone pro 12’s 2.5x tele lens is not used by PRomovie. The app instead digitally zooms into the video to create a fake 2.5x generating tons of ugly artifacts! Any prosumer will want this function..Version: 1.11.5

✓ This app is not accessible to my needsHello, I am a visually impaired person so I can’t see, so I have to use a special text to speech on my phone. In order to navigate it, now your app is not accessible to the text to speech I have to use, I think I looked at this app thinking I was going to get a good app in order to make videos. But I could not use it because I couldn’t find a way to record until like way later after I re-downloaded it. It is not accessible and it doesn’t tell me which button is which control. ✓ Missing Important FeatureThe app has some incredible features and I’d love to give it a 5-star rating. However, it lacks the ability to connect a non-power USB microphone. While the USB microphone shows up on the audio drop-down, the app automatically goes to the iPhone mic as it doesn’t allow for the USB mic to be used. It appears the microphone has to be power for it to connect to the app. Unfortunately, this means I have to use my iPhone camera to record anything with my MXL or other non-powered mic. Fix this issue and it’s a winner!.Version: 1.11.6

But so many functions (like exiting menus) are in the top left of the screen where you can’t get to them! ✓ Very disappointed in support and audio syncWhen I started to use this application it seemed like it was exactly what I was looking for. I soon realized that on many of my videos the audio was not in sync with the video. I contacted the support and although I got one response then ask me for more information, I never heard from them again despite repeated attempts to contact them. The problem was not consistent and did not seem to be specific to any resolution, frame rate, or quality settings. It is very unfortunate that the support group was so unresponsive and I was not able to use this application for the project for which I bought it..Version: 1.10

✓ A little dissappointedI have had the app for a long time but havn’t really used it. I came to use it today and soon found out that if i lock the shutter speed at 1/120 for a 60fps video the ISO will not adjust itself and you cannot adjust the exposure compensation. I like the fact we have manual control, but i just want to control the shutter speed and exposure compensation... I don’t understand the shutter speeds in the app when you choose different frame rates. Choosing 60fps locks the ss at 1/100, which isnt far off correct. But choosing shutter speed of 24fps goves a shutter of 1/25, which makes no sense when it comes to video, the ss should be around double the frame rate. So you change it manually and lock the shutter speed and you cannot adjust the exposure comp or let the ISO go in auto..Version: 1.10
✓ The last version broke the appWhen I started using the app 6 months ago the last second of recorded video was always missing. It wasn’t good but I could live with that. Since the last version was released it’s now 2-3 seconds missing. I now always try to remember to shoot 2-3 seconds more just to be sure everything I intend to shoot is in the video file. ✓ Missing DevelopersFirst of all I want to say that I really do like this app. There’s functions on it that you can’t find on FiLMiC Pro or some of the other apps I have use like a Moment. I wish that it had the ability to record footage in log for flat but it doesn’t and that is a minus. But the one thing that really gets me is if you buy pro movie or pro movie plus you have to pay two separate charges but they are exactly the same app. I have message the developers in the message box inside of the app several times asking them what is the difference between pro movie and pro movie plus and they have never replied, even though when you send the message it says that they will reply within one or two business days. So I’m guessing that they just don’t want to respond to my question or there are no developers that still maintain the message box and respond to questions..Version: 1.10

✓ Amazing, but CrashesWonderful app. I love all the capabilities similar to a DSLR that it has. However, I find after that I open it, record some stuff or tweak some settings, I can’t open the app without it crashing immediately for awhile. After I leave it alone, I can get back on; but that is highly inconvenient. It could be the device that I am on - an iPhone 6, but just something I’d like to bring to the table. ✓ Glitchy.. :(At first, this app was very useful as it has many settings, some of which allow you to increase the lighting which is very helpful but as just as I downloaded it today, I was filming and then the screen suddenly turned black and I ended up back on my home screen. It’s a shame because I lost quite a bit of filming, and I really wanted to like this app.. I’ve tried to go back on the app a couple times, but the same thing is happening. ✓ Trial month with watermarkWhat’s the point in trialing an app with a watermark in the initial trial period. Should allow users to test the app. Maybe do it for a week. Maybe if the watermark was imbedded after the trial period. It would allow people to upgrade. So I’m guessing that there is going to be a watermark regardless after the trial period???!!! So if that’s the case, you can’t record at all after the trial period? So you have to purchase the full copy? You need to explain how the trial period works over full version. ✓ Love the options!I'm still getting used to this, but the options for stabilization and the ability to use an external mic with my iPhone are fantastic. I know I'm just scratching the surface of what this thing come to but I'm very impressed, especially for the price. I just wish I could figure out how to use my Apple Watch as a viewfinder while I'm doing videos. If anyone knows please fill me in :-) I'm sure I'll figure it out eventually along with hundreds of other things this app can do, but right now I'm just so thrilled to have the ability to make videos with my external mic.Version: 1.03
