✓ Surprisingly awesomeI was skeptical when I read an article that mentioned this as their favourite portrait/bokeh/depth of field app. I downloaded a different app that was free (for the first month) instead. But it was clunky and didn’t do a great job... Reluctantly I decided to pay for this one and was amazed at the difference. The natural way this recognizes faces and naturally adds bokeh/ blur is amazing. The first app made it look just blurry (kind of like Instagram), this actually looks like it was taken with a DSLR camera (or portrait mode on iPhone 8 Plus?) I have an serious DSLR (Canon 5D) which takes beautiful photos. But I don’t carry it with me all the time, plus when others take pictures and send me- I have now an amazing app to add depth of field. ✓ Very Effective - Cheaper than an iPhone 7 PlusThis app only does one thing - blur backgrounds so the subject pops out of the picture - and it does it brilliantly. The automatic detection features work quite well but not always perfectly but, no worry, it's very easy to adjust what gets blurred and what doesn't. This basically does what the new "Portrait" mode does on the iPhone 7 Plus or what a traditional camera will do with a wide aperture lens, but it's much cheaper and actually much more controllable..Version: 1.0.6

✓ One thing—save in original qualityFirst time ever writing a review—app is stellar and wonderful for those with a non dual lens iPhone to produce the same blurred effect (with many customization options) for photos! Needs to work on the auto detect however, hardly ever successful. The only true downer—the post-edited photos have a significant quality downgrade. ✓ Background blurring for the rest of us.I have a nice portrait 'true bokeh' lens that I rarely use, as like they say, the best camera is the one you have with you. This app does a great job doing a nice background blur that is very pleasing with the right portrait. Another reason my Canon SLR, will gather more dust sadly. I find using the edit to manually select areas I want to keep in focus works better than automatic recognition, and I do not use on so many images that this would be an issue for me personally..Version: 1.0.3
