✓ Having problems using it.Id like to contact the company because I may just not be understanding how to use it. The little tutorial may be enough for some people but it isn’t explaining enough for me. When I clicked on “help” it didn’t bring me to a help page but to an essay on “ Second Chances” which I cannot understand at all. Also, I paid $3.99 for this app but don’t know if that is one time or monthly. I need to communicate with the developers to get info. After that I may give it a high rating. I’d really like to be able to do that..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Not done in live timeThe app does what it says, but not in live time. You take your photo (or upload from your Camera Roll), the app then analyzes it, then applies the blur. It takes about 15 seconds to do the process on each photo (iPhone 5s). I've used other apps that produce the same result, and this does a good job on its own that you can tweak afterwards. However, I can't justify the price when apps like AfterFocus are faster with more features..Version: 1.0.1
✓ Great app for those who don’t have “portrait mode”Update: I don’t know what they did with this most recent update, but the app is no longer worth it. The blurring is harsh and the feathering option is gone. Such a shame - it was a great app. I was really upset when I found out that the iPhone 8 not had portrait mode in the Plus version as I find the Plus phones too large. Then I discovered this app which is just as good, and no longer makes me want to chuck my phone out the window! And while it’s tru what other reviewers have said (that the AI isn’t as good as recognizing bodies or non-human faces), I found the outline function to be super easy and quick to use so this apparent deficiency doesn’t really bother me..Version: 2.0.1
✓ Good but improvements neededThe concept is nice. Dont like the interface. The camera app should look much professional. Specially it even doesn't show which part I focused with tap. ✓ Ok but a bit handmadeThe blurry background processed is a bit handmade and looks like you could just use a blurring tool with your finger in another app. A bit disappointed I paid for this app. It should be a bit cheaper. The bodies it calculates are always too big which is why I think it looks handmade. You always get a sharp surrounding background and then the blur..Version: 1.0.10

But when you can get an app for .99 or even free, that has several dozen or more other editing features on top of the ONE portrait mode (and a poor one at that) that this app does... you can't help but feel like... ✓ Deleted it after five minutesI just wanted to use it for one photo that had a beautiful image of my daughter, but the background needed to be blurred out. The app selected her face but was unable to accurately select her hair. I tried to modify the selection with the tools provided but could not come close to getting an acceptable result. ✓ Limited Functions & Not a High Quality LookI think this product is expensive when you consider that all it can apparently do is blur the background on my photos. And I found that I had to be extremely precise in using the paint brush and eraser because it apparently has no AI to distinguish for itself the foreground from the background. As a result every photo has needed to be touched-up using the in-app touching up tool. ✓ Good startCan produce some really nice effects/photos but the UI needs work, it's clunky at best. Marking up sections with that little tool/paintbrush is a nightmare, you can't stop marking - if you want to move to another part of the image it just continues marking and area. ✓ Good, but has some bugs, not exactly as advertisedAll on all, this is the best app I've found for creating the bokeh effect without having to outline everything (although you can). It's good, and could receive 5 stars if it provided a more accurate description and removed some serious bugs. 1) It does a great job of facial recognition, keeping the face clear. It does an semi-okay job on the body (50-50). 2) While you "can" use the app to take pictures, it is the exact same process of creating the effect after the fact or from an existing photo. It does not do anything in real time (the description or picture hint that it does this, it does not). 3) It only works for about 1/3 of my photos that I've taken previously. Rather than loading the others, it's shows the picture as a blue-purple box and of course this doesn't work. So, a great start but needs much work and a more honest description..Version: 1.0.3

However the photos are not full resolution (as at May 2017) Even if you take a full res photo with the iPhone camera, it will reduce resolution from 4032x3024 (iPhone 6 standard resolution) to 1280x1707. ✓ No for PetsI have taken a bunch of photos of my dogs. It does not detect faces on animals .... in my experience. Therefore it just blurs the whole photos. If your looking to take photos of your pets I wouldn’t recommend. I bought the app and wasted my $$.Version: 1.1.1
✓ Not as good as expectedGot the app mainly for pictures of my puppy as the portrait mode everyone else takes of theirs are amazing. The app doesn’t recognise animal faces at all, it won’t register any eyes, just human features and face shapes. The edit feature is alright once you get the hang of it, Not what I wanted the app for though. Paid for it due to its good reviews for taking photos and turning straight to portrait however for what I wanted it for it doesn’t work. ✓ Why export at only 1200pixels?Overall love the app, 2 issues. Needs a zoom feature for more accurate selecting and by far the biggest is you take a huge 4k picture, work on it, the edit and export and it shrinks to a low res 1200 pixels.
