Sometimes the app acts like I don’t have it so I either refresh or hit the “restore” purchase and I’m good to go. Haven’t had the issue in awhile though so I’m happy! As a suggestion: do some sentence building exercises in the app after certain lessons! It’ll really help then! My only issue is that, as a teenager who can’t get a job due to the state of the world, and whose parents can’t afford this, I can’t learn like I’d like to. I know you need money like everyone else, but not everyone has an excess of it, especially in this day and age. Could you make the wait time for another lesson shorter, or something of that sort? It has lots of fun ways and notes to learn, and you can adjust chat speed! ✓ Absolutely worth $70 USD (a textbook costs just as much)I’ve been trying to learn Korean since 2007. I’ve tried to keep all my expenses low, buying from discount bookstores and receiving free books from my in-laws. Setting out books every day was hard, so I did a little better with LingoDeer and Drops, but my efforts still weren’t consistent despite myself. It was different with Eggbun. I couldn’t wait for more lessons to be unlocked. The free version gave me a taste of what was waiting for me behind the paywall: I can pick up my phone at any time to learn a short lesson with Lanny. I’m not sure why, but learning via a chatbot just makes it so much easier to continually learn. I can put in a small effort at any time. If I’m interrupted and can’t finish a short lesson, restarting it doesn’t feel like a detriment. It’s been 16 days since I’ve unlocked the full subscription and I’ve used Eggbun almost every day. Even when I miss a day, it isn’t hard to pick the app up again. My only critique would be that the audio is sporadic. Sometimes it will sound when I type a sentence (which I appreciate). Sometimes not. Listening to the native speaker repeat back what I typed is incredibly useful, so if this could be the next debug, I’d greatly appreciate it..Version: 4.3.9

The one thing I will say though is that the new update seems to have removed the ability to do a word quiz over all of your starred words, which was one of my favourite features :( it was really useful haha! ✓ Great but missing some thingsBest language learning app I’ve ever used. They take you step by step and don’t overwhelm you at all. It really feels like you’re attending a class. The only thing I find to not be helpful is the inability to ask questions when you don’t understand something also it would be nice if we can check our pronunciation during the lesson because I’m certain I’m doing it wrong. Also when they show us examples of new words if they could have the option of listening to that word it would help a lot. I had the Japanese one, which disappeared as well. Now I can’t complete my lessons. The only other issue is that it can’t listen and correct your speech to check for correct pronunciation. ✓ Great app!(Kpop fans download)This is helpful, so read all the way down. Just trust me. I recently got into Kpop from a friend and boi did that ruin me. But now I want to learn Korean, and I download a bunch of apps including this one, and this was by far my favourite. It teaches you Korean and Hangul in a fun and creative and reviews it with you as well (thankfully) which helps for you to remember everything. Most apps don't teach you how to use the keyboard, but this one does (obviously) and I really like that. ON TOP OF ALL THIS, there's a section on manners and slag included which I highly appreciate. Knowing how lazy people (ME) can be, I probably would look those kind of things up, and make many, rude mistakes. Even if you don't want to use this app for learning Korean, you can use it as a study thing (idk soz) But there is ONE thing..... Membership. My new favourite app ❤️🙈This app is by far the best app I’ve ever used to start learning Korean and I’ve tried tons of app that are available on the App Store but none of them worked for me, so I tried this app out, I’m actually so impressed so far, I’m really getting hang of Hangul which I found difficult to learn before using Eggbun and I had given up on my language learning but I this app has revised my determination to learn and I’m starting fresh with the app (and some other apps/resources). This app make learning simple, fun and keep you interested, using bite size lessons so it’s not going to overwhelm you. The pronunciation is very clear and easy to understand, unlike most apps. Its also has tons of culture info that makes for an interesting read. The character Lenny is absolutely adorable, he like a teacher/learning buddy and will guide you gently through your language journey. I can’t wait to delve more into the app and continue my language learning. Eggbun is now going to be one of my go to apps from now on. ✓ Not getting a confirmation e-mailAfter the most recent update, I was logged out. I’ve been trying to log in again. But no matter what I do, I’m not getting the confirmation e-mail. I added the help email and Lanny to my contacts, I checked my spam box, I’ve tried to resend the email multiple times, and I emailed Eggbun, and nothing. I’ve never had a problem with emails from them before, so I’m not sure what’s happening here. ✓ Some faultsHi, so I recently upgraded to the Premium membership and I’ve noticed some bugs/ problems that I thought would be sorted. Okay, so first of all. I do love this app and especially the culture notes section because it is interesting learning about my own culture (as a half-korean person). So what I say now is only in the hope to help them create a perfect app and I am not hating on this company at all. The first problem I came across was the fail to recieve a link or access to the ebooks it advertised as “free” for customers who upgraded to premium. I even tried to message them about it to no avail...I’m not that bothered about it but I find it weird how they have obvious false advertising there. Second problem is to do with the Word Quiz. The word quiz at the bottom allows you to be tested on 5 random words you have “starred”. I like this because it tests me like i would hope a teacher would. However, I feel like 5 word quiz is wayy too short and would love if there was an option to increase or decrease the number of words in the quiz. Eg. 5, 10, 15, 20, all. Also the words in the quiz are often repeated so I find myself learning the same word well but never the other ones. Which is another problem with the 5 word limit. Third problem is Type Racer. I enjoy learning to speed type on my phone in korean however theres a lot of glitches. First, the score NEVER saves. So it says “high score!” Every time. Which is sad because I would like to see my progress. Also my keyboard covers half the screen so I can’t even SEE what I’m typing and have to blindly guess. Which is sad because I would like to learn to eventually type without having to stare at the keyboard. Which is impossible if i cant check what I’m typing. The last problem I came across which is just a little thing and I’m not sure you can do much about. But when I have no wifi or data, I can’t actually use the app because it logs me out automatically and I can’t access my premium benefits. I would also like to question the prices of the membership. I pay for the monthly one because I’m a poor uni student and don’t have the cash to give the whole amount for the yearly or 6 months plan. It is too bad that the amount is so much seeing as there are so many faults with the actual product. So i believe if you actually fix and improve these things I would’nt feel so bad paying this much. I’m giving this company a chance though because I like their ethos. But please improve all these problems and thank you for reading if you did..Version: 2.8.3
✓ Great to start withI started learning Korean from this app but I couldn't afford to pay for the membership. It taught me the basic alphabet and how to write in Hangul. For a long time after I was stuck with no way to learn the language (I don't want to promote another app but I just want to help those who are interested in learning Korean but can't afford to pay) and then I found an app called 'memrise' you can either pay for the whole thing or like me use the free version. I'll have been using it a year in November and I can now use conversational Korean and understand more complicated sentences. (I was quite slow paced due to exams so it will probably take only 4-6 months if you have spare time) I'm not trying to promote any apps I just remember the struggle of trying to find a good language learning app. Memrise takes you through the steps and then after a while goes back through the things you've just learned to help you remember it easier. ✓ The wave of the future in language learningI had made fitful starts for the past two years to learn Korean. I am working full time and going to a university part time, so I’m very busy. Therefore I needed to have bite-sized lessons. Outside of a classroom, textbooks give good information, but there’s no good feedback, so I wanted something that was interactive. I had tried personal tutors but their schedule was hard to match with mine since they lived half a world away. So I wanted real-time interaction at any time of the day I had some free time. ✓ Brilliant and easy to use app!Within an hour or so I found I could already remember and read/ speak Korean letters and words! The format is like a messenger but it is as addictive as a game, and that's what makes it fun and interesting, not stuffy like a phrase book. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I find the sound of the messages Lanny sends really irritating and I can't figure out a way to turn that off without also muting the sound clips for the letters and words (sorry if there is a way to do it). ✓ Small bug please fix.I love this app, but it has a bit of a bug. When I put in a right answer it’ll say it’s wrong. So I’ll keep getting wrong a few times before it says no it was this and it’ll be what I had put firstly.
