KORG Gadget 2 Le for Negative User Reviews

Doesn’t really have simple featuresHas cool sounds but lacks a bunch of simple stuff. Since I don’t know much about it, but what I seen doesn’t have split. I couldn’t copy a 1 bar melody and paste it on the 2nd bar but instead let me copy when I’m out piano roll only to paste it over my other track. Lacks a lot stuff. Roland’s ZENBEATS is way better and cheaper.Version: 2.1.0

Korg is knickel and dimingKorg gadget is reasonably cool, but 6 of the gadgets are now for extra money each which is lame. Never mind that there no reason for gadget and module being 2 separate products. Korg is losing my respect..Version: 1.0.2

Crash after updating.Crash after updating during playback. It is not possible to continue the project created Gadget LE..Version: 1.0.1

No way to export from Nintendo switch. The fact that you cannot export with the free version of the app is very scummy. I already purchased the gadget for 40 dollars why am I being charged again to actually do something with my songs?.Version: 2.0.1

Piano keys pleaseCrashes. Wont launch at all any more. Old problem from 2015 (per the blogs) remains unfixed. Good thing I hardly ever use this thing due tot he lack pf a standard piano key interface. Other than drums, composing with this intrument was a nightmare due to the absence of access to NOTES via a piano keyboard. Now I cannot even get it to run. Waste of money..Version: 1.0.7

Lost some gadgetsGreat app! However I lost some gadgets after a iPhone OS re install ( cell froze ) and have no clue how to get them back..Version: 2.0.1

Cute update, now it's worthlessCute. Now it crashes when you press play, if it opens at all. Imagine if I'd been stupid enough to pay for this. I almost did, thank god I saw how Korg does things before that happened. Latest iOS iPad 4.Version: 1.0.1

Needs a little work on accessibilityThis app and Korg module are brilliant but being visually impaired this application requires a few minor tweaks to work correctly with apples VoiceOver. Some of the buttons are either unrecognised or red as button rather than the true function. Hopefully Korg, you can fix this as I am really enjoying Korg module and I would like to use the sound libraries in this app for more sequencing. This is now one of my only options to get the use and benefit of the Coorg sound library as I was told by Korg that the Nautilus would never be made more accessible, I am limited to virtual since on these devices. Hopefully, Korg this is a easy fix :-)..Version: 2.0.6

Money grabbersSo i have this on switch. I have made countless songs on there but the switch isnt as portable as the phone. The ONLY way to export the files on switch is to export it to the FULL VERSION on ios. So pretty much these money grabbers want you to pay for the same thing TWICE just to export a file. They could let me export on the free version? Why can’t i? Whats the logic or reason? There could be many ways to do this and get around this WITHOUT the use of IOS, a simple save MP3 to the SD card would work? Or even have a autogenerated email service where you put your email in and it sends the bounced down MP3 file to the email you put in… many ways around this, but no they decided the best way was through a pay wall. Scummy business tactics. I was considering buying the full version on ios anyway for my ipad but purely based on principle alone i wont until they change it, dont give them your money, they won’t do anything good with it. How can I recommend this to a friend? I can’t because there are many other alternatives that are just as good and don’t require a pay wall to export. Bad business strategies, you treat your buyers well and you will get more. They are your livelihood. Idiots..Version: 2.0.6

No Inter-App Audio or Audiobus support? It's a shame to see a big name like Korg not support IAA or Audiobus such that you could record it's awesome synth sounds to an easier to use DAW like GarageBand.Version: 1.0.4

Feel ripped off!So you go to export wave and they ask for $40. Then you pay it, but still can't export! "Thank you for contacting us. We apologize for the inconvenience. Currently, There is no way to export the data to the Gadget from Gadget Le. We will consider to be able to export project about this issue. KORG app dev team".Version: 1.0.2

Unimaginative and uninspired!Unintuitive. Poorly conceived and stuck in the PC design mentality. No Korg IOS app has been a go to app for me...ever. They are stuck in hardware/PC design mentality and Korg fails to grasp what the touch screen technology is and can do. Their sound is just adequate. Why is the Gadget only portrait mode? Why doesn't Korg include note hold switches in their apps? I could go on. As far as I am concerned Korg continues to miss the boat and is basically irrelevant as far as making digital music. It seems that 98% of all apps are a PC/Mac design mentality. Very few apps truly are designed for iOS touch screen..Version: 1.0.0

No export to midi in liteWhy did you not allow it just add it please.Version: 2.0.3

Not badThe version that comes with the korg controller has good sounds on the marseille instrument nut not much of editing of the sounds. Only ASDR filter and two effects. The mono synths are ok. You can't buy individual synths. Only the full package. Sample tank that comes with irig is much better..Version: 1.0.2

Crashes and no soundSuch a let down . iPhone 5s.Version: 2.0.0

WOULD BE PERFECT IF...I downloaded Gadget Le as I was looking for a very portable production station for a quick, easy way to get ideas down. Well, I liked it so much - even with its limited instruments and tracks - that I bought the full version. The full version of Gadget is fantastic! Tons of instruments for immediate use and loads of available tracks. I've used it so much already! I even composed a re-make of a classic song to use for a video. Its ability to export as a Ableton Live project made it easy to get vocals recorded for my finished production. The ONLY complaint I have is that the upgrade from to Gadget doesn't actually unlock Gadget Le. I can't even export the tracks I created with Le. I literally have to reprogram those tracks...and I made quite a few before I upgraded. If someone knows something I don't, please tell me. I'd like to port my tracks over to Gadget, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do this. I think this was an oversight that should be fixed. As it stands now, I would give Gadget a 5 and Gadget Le a 2.5. But both are still lots of fun and now there's even a version for the Mac!!!.Version: 1.0.3

Why cant you copy & paste like in a PC?The sounds are good the interface is ok but its just imposible to create profesional music whit out Copy Paste to save time and extra work. I cant see the harmony between chanels nor beats its like a blind fold. Sorry please fixe it..Version: 1.0.2

Love Kong and can't wait for the volca FM!But this isn't worth anything close to 40$ when caustic kills it.Version: 1.0.2

No exportFun to play with and has some good sounds, but there is no way to bring any audio out of this app without paying a bunch of money. I’ll pay to upgrade once an app has proven useful in a workflow, but this can’t prove anything. Next,.Version: 2.1.0

Why more $I reinstall gadget le and i used to have all the gadget, after reinstalling i haveonly 3 and i have to pay again this is wrong Thx.Version: 1.0.2

Clunky interface, no inter audio appSo frustrating there is no apparent way to export creations and it is not recognized as an inter audio app. Basically useless..Version: 2.1.0

Does not work with nano key BluetoothKorg are unable to fix this issue for months now - my nanokeystudio doesn’t connect via Bluetooth on iOS 13 and korg gadget. Main reason I got it was to use with korg gadget as per korg advertising. This is a widely known issue for some time now with no fix in sight..Version: 2.0.0

I feel like somebody stole my guitarI paid full price for the original version of Korg Gadget, shortly after its release and later made several in-app purchases as well. Korg Gadget quickly became my go-to music production platform. I eventually broke my iPad but took solace in the fact that I could simply re-download my previously purchased apps without too much trouble. Upon acquiring a new iPad, I immediately went through my list of purchased apps and was surprised when Korg gadget was no longer listed, I then searched the App Store and discovered that Korg Gadget “2” was listed as if it was a completely different app priced at $39.99. Needless to say I will not be giving these people any more of my money. I bet they move to a subscription based model in the future so that they can milk there customers once a month instead of every few years.Version: 2.0.1

VoiceOver compatibility is kind of key, i get many unlabeled elements and such like.As i said in the title i spend more time fighting with the interface than i do being creative.1.Version: 1.0.3

Draining battery and constantly running in BGThis app is draining the life out of my battery. Had to delete since it still ran in background even when I specified background app refresh off..Version: 2.0.6

So disappointedThis used to be my favorite app. It was my go to...now I can’t even export unless I pay anywhere, “gadgetcloud” included. Idk. Sad to see that’s changed..Version: 2.0.0

A decent and functional demoKORG Gadget 2 Le is a bite-sized demo version of KORG Gadget 2 which allows you to create music using dozens of synthesisers and drum machines. This demo allows you to try out three gadgets from the full package: a drum machine, an analog synthesiser and a PCM synthesiser. With these three gadgets, you can create simple melodies and beats which may pass off as decent demos for future songs. Personally, I prefer the Nintendo Switch version of the original KORG Gadget over this pint-sized demo. I find it easier to navigate through the interfaces using a controller than I do with a touch screen. The Nintendo Switch version may be considered outdated since it doesn’t feature as many gadgets, effects and other mechanics as KORG Gadget 2, but I believe it’s perfectly functional and more easily accessible than its iOS counterpart. If anything, I would only recommend KORG Gadget 2 on iOS to newbie music creators who don’t own a Nintendo Switch and want to make music as a hobby. If you’re looking to get into serious music production, you’re better off trying out popular DAWs (digital audio workstations) like Ableton Live or FL Studio before buying them. All in all, this is a decent demo which gives you a taste of the KORG Gadget 2 experience. If you’re fine with making basic music on a smartphone, then go ahead and buy the full package. If you’d rather make studio-quality music, be it as a hobby or for a living, then you’d be better off with Ableton Live or FL Studio on a computer..Version: 2.0.6

Great App But Bad PaywallI’ve been trying out the free LE version and love it, so much that I’ve now bought the full version. Very dissatisfied to find that I cannot export my LE tracks to the full version! Surely that is a no brainier. I can’t even export LE projects as a MIDI file to the full version. Really very bad implementation. 3 stars because I now need to recreate all my projects again..Version: 2.1.0
