Tempo – Runner's Workout Stats for Positive User Reviews

A fantastic app with one annoyanceFirst off, this app is just what I have been looking for. It shows all the data I need in a really clean and user friendly way. The only issue I have is around personal best times. All my imported data would have PBs that ignore the paused time when I am waiting at traffic lights etc but the app includes these in which makes it really difficult to ever measure my times like for like. It would be really good to have a button in settings to allow you to remove pauses if you wish (unless I am missing something). Other than that a fantastic app that I would recommend for all runners..Version: 3.7.0

Elegant clever appDisplays a lot of data in very well considered ways..Version: 3.3.3

Amazing appThis app honestly feels like a cheat code. I use Strava free and pay for this abs get stuck awesome detailed analysis for my runs. Also really cool having my kms on my Apple Watch Dave Honestly a must have! 100% - will recommend to anyone.Version: 3.7.0

I’ve been looking for this app! Can’t believe it shows the cadence of my runs tracked with Nike run club, had no idea it tracked that info! Would be 5 stars if they added an Apple Watch complication that showed the running total of runs from the last 30 days, not just the total from the 1-30 of the month. Also would be nice if they gave me the option to not count “walk” totals with my “run” totals..Version: 2.10.1

Awesome stats appI started running this year for the first time, and after a few months I wanted to see what I’d managed to accomplish. I was pretty bemused and disheartened by the absence of useful analytics in the Health and Fitness apps, so went searching for something to scratch my stats itch. Someone mentioned Tempo on a forum, and I gave it a quick test - and was very pleased to see that it covered everything I wanted, and even included a goal tracker! Lovely. I am now a happy Premium user..Version: 4.1.1

Shoe Tag FunctionalityHey! Love the app. It would be great if you could tag which shoe you used for a specific workout. I calculate this # on my own and it’s useful to help determine when to switch up running shoes. Thanks again for the great app!.Version: 3.3.4

Not badSeems pretty good to me. Wish I could see a map of my run like in the health app, then I wouldn't have to use both apps. Price seems steep for the features you get. If it had been half as much, or a one time purchase, I'd probably have bitten and paid.Version: 2.0.1

Helps me become betterI downloaded this app thinking it would track runs in real time, like some other tracker apps. It does not. However, it takes all my run workouts and puts it into easy to read data. So now I just use my Apple Watch to track my runs and then go back and review my data. I’ve been able to figure out my areas of weakness. Now I can focus on those areas during my runs and in other workouts to improve those areas. I subscribed to the pro (I rarely subscribe to apps) because I think it’s that good..Version: 3.5.3

The bestMy favorite app. This is essential for runners with the Apple Watch. It is clean, concise and a wonderful companion. Also, the data privacy is on point! Ditch the other apps that steal your data or make your workouts a social media gimmick. Run for you! Will continue to support tempo!.Version: 3.2.1

Amazing!I simply can't believe how great this app is! It shows 100x more than the native apps show for the very same training! It's mind blowing. Now, why not take it a step or two further and include much more data from the Health app? I'm desperately looking for Garmin Connect replacement and this app best I've found so far! With added info, like sleep, pulse, weight and all those metrics, it would be THE app for people like me - trying to switch from Garmin Connect to Apple Health..Version: 3.7.0

Such a great running logIf you use an Apple watch for running and your watch app will store your data in Apple Health, you really should try tempo. The days of recording runs in spreadsheets or in apps that won’t share won’t be missed :).Version: 2.2.0

Great CompanionIf you have an Apple Watch & go running, get this. Logs & renders run data in useful ways at a fraction of the price that other apps cost..Version: 2.0.2

Multifunctional appI use Tempo to track my running data monthly. I like the the heart zone and VO2max statistics. This has helped me during my training after recovering from COVID19 to improve my breathing. It connects to the Apple Watch seamlessly and the info aligns with my watch data. You can set monthly goals and see your information weekly, monthly or yearly..Version: 3.9.0

PerfectI just wanted something to track my running. I don’t want to make new online friends, no need to post to a timeline. I already have an ecosystem (stryd plus activity app) and don’t need to be forced into yet another. I don’t need ads, coaching, product tie-ins or motivation. Just show me my data. Please make it elegant and relevant. Problem solved....Version: 2.9.1

Great running analyticsI’ve been using Tempo for several months now and upgraded to premium shortly after I got it. I find the range and presentation of the data helpful and motivating. And when I had a question I couldn’t answer with the resources provided I got a very quick answer from the developer. This is one of the few apps I use every day and I highly recommend it..Version: 3.3.4

Data visualisation for the runnerAs a runner a running log is essential if you want to better understand how your training is progressing and how external factors influence your running. Tempo provides a dashboard giving you a quick overview of your training. You are then able to drill down into a specific run which provides more detailed analysis of each run. Basic features are available for free but for a small annual subscription you not only gain additional analysis features, you support the developer to further enhance Tempo. The basic tenet of Tempo is that your data remains private and is not shared with third-parties. The data analysis remains local to the device. If you are interested in better understanding your running then Tempo is the app for you. Update 27-09-19 I put in a feature request to support kJ not just kCal. Tempo now displays kJ or kCal depending on your Health settings. Tempo just gets better..Version: 2.6.2

Great analyticsBeen a premium user for a year now. Excellent analytics and great effective and clean UI. Update - great new update allowing you to set goals and also more analytics data. Watch update also very cool. Best running stats app available. Period. Now been a Tempo user for over two years. The new update is great! Update 31/10/22 - loving the new refresh..Version: 4.1.0

Essential app for RunnersEssential, smooth and very well made app for Runners who are not interested in the gamification of training and want to keep their data in iCloud/Apple Health. If you rely on the native Workout app only you need this app! It has everything you can ask for to analyse your workouts and understand trends and how your training is affecting your performance. I absolutely love it and I subscribed for 1 year membership. Keep up the good work! Highly recommended..Version: 2.7.0

Best App for Visualizing and Analyzing Running DataThis is a fantastic app with loads of information and analysis available for all runs, hikes, and walks. The developer is very skilled and active and always looking for feedback from app users so that he can make targeted improvements to give the people what they want. Highly recommend and looking forward to even more new features..Version: 3.3.2

Well made and super usefulWell made app Simple and clean design Works flawlessly and collects all stats from activity app Definitely would Recommend.Version: 2.2.0

Great productLove the new personal bests, and the year in review. Much more granular data than health/activity app. Subscription is very reasonable too, unlocks even more cool data. App is always being updated with new stuff!.Version: 3.3.0

Perfect Complement to Apple WatchI recently switched from running with a Garmin to running with an Apple Watch. I really like the watch but the data views available in the Activity and Health apps are insufficient for tracking your training. I’m so happy to have found Tempo because it fills in the gaps and allows you to see mileage and intensity trends over time (weekly, monthly, yearly, and rolling totals). I do a lot of treadmill runs so I also love the option to manually adjust the distance - I think it’s worth upgrading to the paid version for this feature alone..Version: 2.9.1

Nice to have my run data just for meLike most good apps designed by a runner solving his problem of getting the right data without all the sharing stuff in other apps. Like the heart rate splits and the amount paused in each run. Clean well thought out design..Version: 1.4

Less is more?In many ways this is just what I want, an app that picks up runs tracked on Apple Watch and gives me the information in one place. I don't need a gps app/calorie counter/motivational tool etc etc. so it does the job. If only it added a little more, keeping a count of shoe use for example or allowing some post run editing such as labelling run types and being able to selectively chart them. Being able to chart weight or other stats against runs by having the app pull this in from Apple Health would be nice too. I wait for version 2.0 with hope..Version: 1.4

Love. This. App.Tempo works like a charm to help me review and organize my running and walking info. It allows me to store workout notes of any size, and now even lets me save/export those notes. This app is the center of my running/walking work. I’m happy to be able to pay for the pro version to support the developer (who is very responsive to requests for enhancements). Highly recommended..Version: 4.3.0

BrilliantReally new and well designed. Better than Garmin imo.Version: 2.0.1

Your Running DashboardThis is a great app! It does one thing very well, provide insight into your running. And it does it better than any of the running apps. it is not a running app, it is not a music app, it does not track shoes, or friends. It is a focussed app that helps you focus on your runs. We are the sum of our runs, and Tempo is the dashboard..Version: 2.0.2

Great appLove the app. I had some problems with crashing due to my unique workflow for my runs, and the developer was very responsive to getting it fixed..Version: 3.5.1

A running app for runners by a runnerI stumbled across this app while adjusting the settings in Rahul’s other (free) app “Activity Stats” (also awesome). As a (long, long) long-term, long-distance runner I find the gamification of closing the rings on the Apple Watch amusing but it doesn’t really give me the depth that I need to properly analyse my training and performance. The breadth of data in Apple Health is awesome but getting it out and correlating it across multiple measurements seemed like too much effort. Of course there are other commercial/ social apps but I haven’t yet found one that gives much more insight than Apple Health and they are generally focussed more on sharing individual workouts with your network than they are with monitoring and influencing your performance. Enter Tempo from Indie Computing Labs (aka Rahul Matta). He is a runner himself and has created an app that interrogates Apple Health and serves up an amazing level of insight that is an absolute boon for the serious runner. Suddenly I can see my effort levels over time. I can see whether training intensity is having an effect (positive or negative) on my pace. I can see my cadence and how much time I’m spending in individual heart-rate zones (all tailored to my performance not some generic model). And because this is drawing its data from Apple Health I can go back and look at performance retrospectively. Using tags you can also see how many miles you’ve put on each pair of shoes. My only regret is that I didn’t have this app years ago when I tried notebooks, spreadsheets and various pre-printed forms to try and analyse and improve my running performance and get my marathon time to where I wanted it to be. If you are a runner (or walker) and are serious about your performance then this is money well spent to support an excellent app from a very talented developer. Every update brings more awesomeness! Oh, and check the privacy ‘health’ label in the App Store: your data stays on your phone!.Version: 3.3.2

Super helpful for reviewing & planning trainingThere is a lot of detailed functionality for making the most of my running data. I like being able to compare trends, and it is all helpful for planning my training. There’s great options for choosing what types of activities to prioritize. Also appreciate being able to see a variety of interesting data easily for each workout and compare data from different workouts.Version: 4.2.0

Apple Watch Runner Must HaveThis app fills in the gaps for runners using Apple Watch and the Workout App. The detailed statistics and trends are great and allow you to visualize training load in a really great way. Tagging is fantastic, and with the latest major update you can now get mileage summary per tag, which is perfect for shoe tracking. The route map is another great addition and gives mile/km markers along the path. Tempo is also one of the most polished apps you will find on the store. The design is great, and it even uses subtle haptics as you navigate the interface. Do yourself a favour and subscribe to Tempo!.Version: 2.2.0

Fantastic app; like a local smashrunThis app is really great for seeing cumulative runs and trends. It reminds me a lot of smashrun or Strava in that regard. What would make it even better would be to include a biking section and maybe a section that shows your most recent run stacked against previous runs of the same distance so you can get an idea for how it’s immediately trending. Definitely worth the fee for this app. It’s also immensely cheaper than all other subscription running apps..Version: 3.3.4

Good appI like the app, it gives basic but important information on my running progress. I Don't want to pay a subscription for the extra information, but wish I could pay a few £s for the free version which I find useful..Version: 2.0.2

Perfect running app.For anybody with an Apple Watch, there is no better running app Simple to use, clear UI. Nothing to fault!.Version: 3.3.0

A Deeper Look Into Your Run DataThis app does as advertised. Pretty straight forward. The data organization is plentiful and visually pleasing to look at. Minus one (1) star because if you manually add a workout, you MUST allow that workout to be written into Apple Health App. I do OrangeTheory Fitness. This app will not include the run data from OrangeTheory. So I try to manually enter the treadmill portion. However, OrangeTheory already includes my workout as HIIT workout in Apple Activities/Health. This app will duplicate the entry. There is no way within the app to refuse data to be written..Version: 3.3.4

Privacy and PowerI have tried and used about every running app out there. While this may not connect you with long lost friends or other runners, it does provide you privacy without losing the power of data, analytics, and then is always getting new features added. The developer is super responsive to requests, so if you care about your privacy, check this out!.Version: 3.0.0

Brilliant appI’ve found this to be the best app for tracking my running data (it takes that data from the Apple app but presents it in a much cleaner and more useful format). Unlike many apps in this category, it tries hard (and succeeds) not to over complicate - all key info (such as average pace, distances, intensity and individual run breakdowns) is there but the presentation is simple and clean. The app employs lots of visual clues, such as bigger circles in the calendar view to indicate longer runs, and colour to show intensity. you can also tap for an explanation on each page showing data, which is excellent. Absolutely worth every penny..Version: 2.10.1

TempoFirst, I've tried A LOT of running apps. Second, I'm not a marathon runner by any stretch of the imagination. I've accomplished a 1/2, but they are vastly different. All that being said, Tempo is straight to the point, distance, heart rate, pace and elevation m. I've used this app a LONG time and am pleased with the additions/updates made a long the way. The info comes directly from Apple's Workout app and gives a little different take on what you've accomplished, being able to add notes and tag runs for later review is cool. Try it out..Version: 2.6.0

I love this app but one suggestionI love all the data I can get from this app. It has kept track of almost everything. I say almost because I recently had to restore my phone to factory settings and I didn’t realize that the tags I had set up and used previously would be wiped. If there was a way to save them, I would be elated! Like I said, other than that, I love this app and hope this feedback can help make it better!.Version: 2.12.1

PERFECT for use with Apple’ built in activity appA great solution for those who want to use Apple’s activity app, but have more detailed information regarding your runs. The interface is clean and well done. The information is detailed and easy to review. The developer has done a fantastic job and it’s just what I was looking for!.Version: 2.10.1

Great appI am doing slow jogging for endurance reasons and enjoyment. This app is visually pleasing and much better than Strava IMHO If you’re interested in injury-less enjoyable jogging, read the book “Slow Jogging” by Dr Tanaka.Version: 3.4.0

Great running appThis is a great app and I personally think it’s better than Strava. Love the intensity graphs, the cumulative graphs and the ability to view all the data the Apple Watch captures, in a great interface. Only thing I would like is the ability the manually add or subtract distance from a run. The watch isn’t always accurate (especially on a treadmill) so I have to go and log a new workout on the iPhone to add distance, but then it stuffs up the time and the averages. If you added this feature, it would be perfect!!! Edit - thanks for the added feature of changing the distance. This app is perfect. I wish all app developers listened to their users like you do. Cheers!.Version: 2.9.1

Best Apple Watch running companion appI just cannot recommend this app more if you use your Apple Watch for running. It shows great amount data clearly and allows you to monitor your performance and progression..Version: 3.0.0

Where has this app been all my life?!?I’m a refugee from the once great/pretty decent Nike Running app, that they decided to inexplicably nuke for an app that basically turned into a glorified shoe sales platform years ago. Tempo is everything the old app was and much much more. Literally ecstatic to have found this. I am not at all a fan of apps moving to subscription models, but for $10 a year this app more than earns its price. Thank you dev, and happy running 🙌👊.Version: 3.1.1

Thanks! This is a very nice running log. I really like it! I know there’s a notes section but it would be really cool if there was some ratings you could add like overall feel of the run 9/10 or 1/10 and overall mental state and just some factors that could influence it like bad/good nutrition or sleep or back to back hard days. It would be a nice addition, but in any case the app is great!.Version: 4.3.2

Brilliant app for runnersBeautiful app, well designed and presented, runs without issue. Full of interesting data about your running, the new Personal Bests feature being a great example. It’s well worth the subscription if you want to maintain/improve your running performance..Version: 3.3.0

Super designJust completed my first ultra and this app was so helpful in my training. At a quick glance I can see trends, where I’m missing opportunities and how I’m progressing. I use a Garmin running watch and this app has been a perfect training log. Great job!!.Version: 2.0.2

Great resource for runnersI love this app and have been using it for a couple of years now. I tag all my runs based on distance, time, conditions etc and it allows me to quickly compare various runs of a similar nature. I find the maps and cumulative data very useful as well. Highly rated and recommended..Version: 3.0.0

Great Reporting for the Privacy FocusedLast year I started using Strava to track all my runs. I enjoyed the system but ultimately ended up disliking it for similar reasons I dislike most social networks (run-envy, anyone?). I found Tempo to be a good solution for this as it has no social aspects but does a lot of the reporting Strava does. The subscription fee for this is nominal and unlocks a lot of the features I need so I gladly pay for this. It’s reliance on Apple Health means all my data has been pulled in with no effort from me..Version: 3.3.3

Love the app! One small suggestionOverall, the app is fantastic. One feature request that I have is to include the top 3 best times for each of the milestone distances (1 mile, 5k, etc.), similar to Strava, instead of just the best time..Version: 3.3.4

Great and simple app. Perfect for what I needed. This app does exactly what I wanted it to do and it does it perfectly. Compliments my offline running log. If your are a runner and want an easy to use online running log then get this one..Version: 2.2.0

Great running appI love using Tempo. Most running apps are all about social features that I don’t want, and make it too difficult to just view my run data with all the other “features” getting in the way. Tempo is focused on the one thing I want to do, without trying to push anything else..Version: 2.0.3

Best running app so far! Goodbye StravaA refreshing take on what a running app should be like. Clearly designed by a runner for runners. Great work so far, can’t wait for new features and developments in the future! Reviewed because I’m tired of running apps collecting multitudes of data from workouts but lacking the basic features to show you. Strava, for example, accepts/collects cadence data, but doesn’t show you on the iOS app….Version: 3.3.4

Great app - needs more customization for the costApp works great and provides awesome data. But given a $20/year subscription is needed for basically any useful features I would appreciate some more options. Primarily, I would like the ability to create a custom distance (e.g. 2 miles) and see my personal best times for that run. The twelve base personal best options are a great improvement over the base Apple app though..Version: 5.0.1

SuperI just loaded this app and I really like the statistics that it provides. One thing I wish I could add to it as other activities such as cycling. I also spent a lot of time on an elliptical machine. The heart rate data and activity data from these indoor or outdoor endeavors is captured in my Health app, so adding those activities to tempo would just require additional data crunching, similar to what is already being done for walking and hiking. And this way I would capture all of my activities during the week. I ride my bike 80 miles or so every week and I probably spent two or three hours on an elliptical in zone four or zone five, so that’s useful data to add for the intensity for the week.Version: 3.3.4

IPhone App is greatThe per-workout view is the best I’ve found, compared to workouts++, strava, run gap, fitness app..Version: 3.3.1

Best running tracking appI’ve tried them all. This one is made by one person who is clearly desperately passionate about two things. Running, and iOS development. Just get this app, and just give the guy some $. If you pair this with Strava for sharing and route finding you’ll be sorted for your training. My only wishes for the app 1) sharing a run, I’d love the option of having a map as the background, or a slightly more detailed route line? Also if I got a PR on a run, it’d be cool to have that on the share image. 2) the calendar view shows the last 30 days, but doesn’t seem to be scrollable and I can’t find a way to view all history in that calendar view?.Version: 5.0.1

Recent updates locking pro featuresLatest updates seem to be breaking Pro features. They show “locked” and my subscription is valid until April next year. Have to often close the app and restart it for these to “unlock”..Version: 3.6.0

Best app for apple watch !!This app is a must if you have a apple watch. Absolutely love this app, it is everything i ever wanted and is always being updated! Props to the developer for being so awesome and adding amazing features constantly!!!.Version: 3.3.4

This is EXACTLY what a runner needs! So many fitness apps aim to appeal to many different disciplines and fall short at providing really great, running focused data. Tempo not only collects data from all of your workout apps through Apple Health, but it leverages it to help you better manage all of your progress! You can set goals, see PRs, and manage volume all from this app! Apps like Strava do similar things but don’t play well with others AND aren’t built with a running first mindset. Tempo has it all! I found it about a month ago, and I’ll be a premium subscriber for life! One random bit: the Tags feature is extremely powerful. I’m using it to track the amount of mileage on specific shoes and to see how many miles I’ve trained for a specific event. So simple, but so great!.Version: 5.0.0

Have tried Strava, RunKeeper, Nike etcAnd this is the one I’ve stuck with. Says it all I guess. No social features though - that may be a drawback to some, it’s a positive benefit for me. Plus it’s very actively developed - the lastest update has basically stopped me paying for Training Peaks (wanted to schedule runs, which I can now do from Tempo).Version: 5.0.0

Simple and powerfulI’ve used many running apps. Since finding Tempo I rarely use the others. It has a very simple user interface and you can quickly find what you’re looking for. I love the Intensity Calendar for a quick overview of my runs. The Cumulative Graph is the perfect way to look at your weekly mileage and see your progression throughout your training cycle. The Personal Bests is fun to look through. I also like how the data is presented as you review each workout. The developer is doing a great job with this app and is constantly adding new features. I also love that I can use the default Apple Workouts app (though you can use any app that syncs with Apple Health) to record my runs as I find that the most accurate and simplest to use. The data syncs seamlessly with Tempo. Great app!.Version: 3.3.4

Just perfect!Everything about this app is perfect. A just for runners..Version: 4.0.0

My Strava membership cancelledHas all the Strava pro features for £9.45 a year nice app!.Version: 3.1.0

Great running appThe last thing you want is an app that’s going to tie you up even before you get your foot out of the door. Tempo is clean and a amazing user friendly app. There are 2 versions - Free and a Premium. My favorite feature is the Dashboard where you get a simple view of weekly, monthly and yearly runs. In addition you can view your intensity trend in a monthly calendar feature. Tap on each run and you get to the details. I run 6 days a week and for me I cannot get a better and simple app than Tempo. Thank you!.Version: 2.3.0

Coyr! This seems to be a hidden gem. Apple Watch workout app is poor for a runner, so I've searched for one to match my garmin gps app. This is it. Cadence/ max hr/ graphic display.....brilliant. Another review suggests price is steep. £6.99 per year is very reasonable I think, when Strava is that per month!!! I know Strava has social connectivity but we don't all want that. This is the perfect answer!! Well done..Version: 2.0.1

The running app I didn’t know I neededI’ve been looking for years for something that tracks my runs in a way I like so I can get that satisfaction of seeing the miles slowly stack up. The developer of this app nailed it - so glad I found it. Free version is great and no need to upgrade, but I happily did because it’s a super reasonable price, good way to help the developer, and good value for the extra stuff!.Version: 3.8.0

Love itExtremely well done app. It shows useful information in a crystal clear way. 5 stars for the attention to details..Version: 1.4

Incredible! Perfect use of WorkoutKitFor a presumably small team, way to incorporate Apple WorkoutKit so quickly. This is well done! By far the best running log out there. You can tell these folks are runners and really good software engineers. This app sets the bar for all the terrible fitness apps out there. 20 dollars for premium is a bargain!!!.Version: 5.0.0

Best running log…This is far and away the best running log in the AppStore. Designed to work with data collected by an Apple Watch, it also works with Garmin data exported to Apple Health. It is one of the few apps to chart mileage and pace for every day, week, month, and year for which data is available. User defined tags make it easy to track shoes, courses, type of run, etc. Don’t run with a phone or smart watch? No problem! Simply enter each run manually and still get the best graphs and charts in the AppStore..Version: 3.4.1

Fantastic app one feature requestI’d love to be able compare runs against each other side by side. I usually follow the same route and would like to see where I’m quicker.Version: 5.0.1

Great app!Just what I’ve been looking for. It takes the excellent data collected on the Apple Watch and puts it into an efficient and simple to use format. No social element. No large company using your data. Just all the things you need as a runner to improve. Thanks so much!.Version: 2.2.0

Love this app & it keeps getting betterLove this paired with my watch for tracking all my runs. Best new feature is Training Plans. Creating interval workouts from my phone and having them show up in Apple Workout app is the best. Hated creating interval workouts only on watch as even Apple app doesn’t let you do this on your phone.Version: 5.0.1

Well worth the subscription cost! I'm impressed 🤓First, I will mention the subscription part because it seems like that is where a lot of people are leaving negative reviews. Yes, you do need to pay the subscription fee to see all of the functions, charts, goalsetting, widgets, etc. within the app but the creator gives you a seven day trial to see what it has before you have to pay for it. I’d also like to mention the fact that I tried to download a lot of Apple health data to generate a spreadsheet to analyze my runs and suffice to say I spent 2+ days trying to get a handle on all of the data, and in the end excel was not really able to process several gigabytes of data. This app connects directly to Apple health and gives you all of the run data and statistics that you could possibly imagine so fantastic work on the creators part. Thank you for making a wonderful app..Version: 4.2.1

Just what I neededPerfect app to use to get cadence for a run and to show weekly kms run. Cheers..Version: 2.4.0

A fantastic App for runnersI was looking for an app that would give me my top 10 for various distances which Tempo does brilliantly and have found out that Tempo does a lot brilliantly and is well worth the premium features, A well developed app that’s always being updated with new features like widget and watch options..Version: 4.2.0

The App I’ve Been Looking For!In the years since I got my Apple Watch, I’ve been wanting to find an app that would integrate seamlessly with my workout data, where I can log my runs, track my progress & shoe mileage, and not have to enter things by hand. This is the app! I love the way things are integrated and how things are laid out. Definitely worth the cost. So happy I found it..Version: 4.0.0

Great App!Thank you for creating such an amazing app! Definitely worth the yearly subscription. I would give 6 stars if you made an iPad version lol.Version: 3.3.4

Wonderful app, great features and beautifully designedKeeping track of stats is so much easier with Tempo. Awesome work!.Version: 3.1.1

Love the new training planner featureI have been a long-time user of Tempo to track mileage, but the new ability to create custom workouts and import them directly to the watch is brilliant and works seamlessly. Apple inexplicably make you create custom workouts directly on the watch, so having an iPhone app that can write them is much handier. That said, the feature is missing a calculation of the total distance of your intervals. I accidentally created a recovery of 350km for one of my workouts! Great app and a great developer who is always implementing new features and adapting to new OS features..Version: 5.0.0

Best running app with room for improvementTempo is the best running app companion. My quest is finally over. This one seriously is for real runners: no fuss, minimalistic UI, useful data upfront, cool tagging and filtering tools, and an excellent log scheme. There is a large room for improvement, though. First and foremost, a record tab to check the personal bests. Secondly, the option to entitle the logged run (i.e., NYC Marathon, Boston Marathon, and so on). Thirdly, the option to add a link to the race or location where the run took place. Keep it up, developer. You're one of the rest of us!.Version: 2.8.1

Perfect. Just perfect. For a recreational runner like myself Tempo is exactly what I wanted. It fills in all the gaps left by Apple’s own Health and Fitness apps. While I primarily use it to set monthly goals and see my distances run during set periods (ie, Last 365 Days, Last 30 Days), it also gives so much more data that I simply haven’t even begun to analyze or understand (yet). An amazing app that feels very Apple-ish (in terms of UI/UX design) and for $10 a year I don’t see how anyone can complain!.Version: 4.1.0

Fantastic app!I’ve been using this app for more than two years and it is my favorite running app. Tempo makes it so easy to visualize your running workouts. And it imports all of the data from your health app so there’s no downloading, or logging, or anything. Just a simple app that magically turns your running data into to easily accessible visuals..Version: 3.0.1

FantasticThis is a great app. So much data but easy to access and works brilliantly. Very happy to pay the small amount each year for this as it keeps me motivated and gives me the data I need. Excellent job, developers.Version: 3.7.0

Splits are broken, devs unresponsiveI like the idea of this app. I was really enjoying using it for a while until my new entries suddenly had broken splits. There would only be 2 splits for a run. The 1st mile and then the rest of the run would be lumped together as one big split. Completely useless data at that point. The splits are correct in the data source and correct in Apple Fitness, only in Tempo are they broken. I reached out to the devs at their published support email and got no response. I had paid for a year of premium but I cancelled after realizing the data is suspect and the devs won't troubleshoot issues. I would look very carefully before spending any money and ensure that the data is correct for your workouts. update: after tweeting at the developer I did receive a response. The developer tried hard to solve the problem but unfortunately a solution was never found. I really wish I could use this app as I quite like it, but I just can't get around this issue..Version: 3.9.0

Best running companionI found this app for running and have never looked back. It has so many great features and data views available. I love the tags also, for keeping track of shoe mileage. Thanks for such an awesome app! Pairs with my Apple Watch perfectly!.Version: 3.3.2

Basically the perfect running appThe recent update added some incredible features — Tempo is pretty much the only app I need now. There are a few other apps that are just as good, but they cost 4-5 times the price. Integration with the Apple Watch is fantastic. You can really tell that the app was designed by a runner. Do yourself a favor and check it out..Version: 5.0.0

Fantastic running stats and insightsThe Tempo app has a great assortment of running stats presented in an easy-to-read format. The insights from this app have helped refine my personal training and improve my running performance..Version: 4.1.0

Fills in all the gaps of Apple’s run dataExactly what I was looking for to enhance run data with Apple Watch and the Fitness app. I love the goals, cumulative reports, notes and tags on individual runs. Only wish so far would be to add support for goals other than distance based ones - (ie pace goals, like 30 min 5k).Version: 4.2.1

Visually compelling and comprehensiveLove the update that lets me graph similar runs depending on how I tag them. Trail runs, pavement, usual route, low heart rate, etc. My favorite app for seeing what I’ve done and what I’m doing now. The recent update of the colors and layout is a work of art! First place I look after a run..Version: 3.3.4

One of the best interfaces for workouts in health appReally enjoy interface to health data related to my running workouts! Happy to support development and enjoying using it! I like ability to create custom tags and view history by each tag..Version: 3.3.4
