However, I would like to make a small suggestion for improvement: it would be nice if, just as there is an inbox, there could also be an outbox. When one finishes an item, one could drag that item down to the outbox icon. This would serve to get that task out of the way, leaving only those yet to be accomplished visible in that particular quadrant. It would also serve to have a place where I can see all of the items that have been accomplished today. Then, at the end of the day, I could delete all of those items at once by tapping on an icon; or, alternatively, I could manually delete them one by one, perhaps dragging some of them back up to another quadrant for tomorrow, if it happens to be an item that I repeat each day. ✓ Remembering Things at Last!This is a great little app for remembering things and putting them in order of importance. I haven’t forgotten anything important since I have been using it. I am using the free version at the moment but will check out the extra features of the paid for version. The app notifies you when something becomes overdue once. However, it doesn’t keep reminding you to “nudge” you to do it so it will sit in your urgent box. I’d like to have it being a bit more bossy and notify you every few days! A nice feature to see would be to keep all the things you have done in a folder called “completed” or “achieved” to give you that feeling of accomplishment. Another nice feature would be to have the app available with a personal life section and a work section so I can keep them separate. This is a great app and I totally recommend it. I found the whole concept of the priority matrix originated by President Eisenhower a while back and have used different methods & different apps. I appreciate the simple design of your app. Others have become very overwhelming pretty quickly to me. I wanted to give you 3 suggestions that I would find beneficial: 1) Update for the IPad Pro which would allow me to use the split screen view with the matrix & the be focused apps side by side. 2) I turned on the option to have a passcode to get into my matrix, but would like to turn that option back off. ✓ Franklin Covey Fans RejoiceIf you used the paper-based Franklin Covey planning system you will love Focus Matrix. After years of using more complicated apps to follow the GTD system, I find Focus Matrix helps guide me in choosing fewer tasks with bigger payoffs. I find myself moving away from frenetically cramming in every task possible in a given time to instead doing a few tasks that will take me furthest for that day. The sync between iPhone, iPad and Mac works great. If you pair it with the same developer’s BeFocus pomodoro timer you can send your tasks into that app and be super productive with pomodoro sessions and still not be exhausted at the end of your day. I’m taking off one star because the app is limited by having no place for projects. Currently there is only an Inbox and each of the quadrants. There is no place to look at something at the project level and assign the tasks from there. My wish for Outlook integration still stands! I’m a few days in and thinking Focus matrix might do the trick. The interface and its a subtle way of “training” our brains to think in terms of the 4 boxes. I especially like that a task automatically moves to urgent and important as it nears its due date. Most importantly rather than feeling overwhelmed by an ever-growing list — which is when I tend to abandon an app — I am calmed by the fact that items are captured, and I only need to focus on the important/urgent items. Anyway really great app, good functionality and good link in with their other app ‘Be Focused’. Also links well through the iPhone calendar with ‘Structured’ app . Combining this app with be focused helps me to actually do more instead of creating infinite list of tasks. Giving it 4 stars as I’ve noticed some performance issue with syncing - often I will launch an app and the whole interface becomes unresponsive- I presume due to slow syncing process. Would be good to see syncing... overlay to indicate to users what’s going on as right now I get a bit confused. Also, I use the "not important and not urgent" to keep random lists in the notes sub section. So a list item might be "movies to see" and then in the notes I just add movies. By using the Eisenhower quadrant and user created tags, it is much more manageable to organize and prioritize to-do lists and quickly filter to find what should be done next.
