EufyLife for Negative User Reviews

Add body measurement trackingPlease add in a feature to track your body measurements such as waist measurement and hip measurement..Version: 2.1.14

The app has become very jiffyI’ve owned these scales for two years and they’ve been fine, good battery power, accurate, responsive etc. During this time the app was serviceable if basic. However lately the app developers have added gimmicks like not being able to see reports unless you weigh x amounts of time a week. This can be incredibly harming as for people with some conditions this can be triggering. Access to information with the scales that your customer HAS ALREADY BOUGHT, should not be limited or should be gamified within control of the customer. On top of this, the app has now started using some very unflattering cartoon images to show you at your baseline (an unhealthy ideal) and you were you are now (a grotesque cartoon). Again this can be harmful. Do better and engage some positive psychology and intuitive eating experts on your research teams, Eufy..Version: 2.3.30

DisappointedI bought this scale hoping it would be more reliable but it constantly disconnects. It’s so frustrating spend money on scales which fail to work as they should the money invested!😢.Version: 2.2.20

Terrible App!Confusing, badly designed, old fashioned basics, info drops out, hard to navigate as there are no basic intructions. Constantly faulting. The app simply can't support the level of tech the scale says it offers. Customer support is hopeless too. Not worth the $$. Very disappointing indeed..Version: 2.13.3

Almost perfectI really like my scale and the app, but the developers need to test with a large number of historical weights. Loading the weight history on my phone takes literally 10 seconds from when I tap the history button to when the history shows up. They should either bucket the history by month/year to cut down on the number of results they have to load, or stream in the history in a more efficient manner..Version: 2.2.11

Some people like this? This app is made by people who have no idea how to present data. True, the data itself is mostly nonsense and it would not make a huge difference anyway. Recent updates fixed a completely ridiculous presentation misses. Now they moved forward, still demonstrating they do not have the slightest idea how to set scales and average. I see many people like the app. Just another proof that all you need is some color and random numbers to get their attention. To the developers: hire an intern to teach you how to present data. It would be huge step forward. Keep the marketing guys. They managed to fool many people..Version: 2.4.0

BadThey removed apple login and now i can’t access my account.Version: 2.1.13

My Weight App is not Your Advertising PlatformI don’t know which dumb person at EufyLife thought it was a good idea to try to sell me a vacuum when I’m tracking my weight, but you are wrong. I use a product for the purpose I bought it for, not to learn about your other products. Giving me notifications and splash screens for your other products is a deal breaker, and it is slimy. Stop. Because your choices are counterproductive to your goal. I will not buy any other Eufy devices if this is the way it is going to be..Version: 2.1.8

Please bring the old app back!!!I’d like to reiterate everything that Jjgghhrr said below. The scales are great, with awesome, straightforward connectivity to the app, and the app used to be fantastic - all the info you could want at the touch of a button. The updated version of the app is worse than useless, especially the fact that the “year” option on the graphs only shows calendar year, not the previous 12 months. The old app was so much better, and unless it’s fixed soon sadly I wouldn’t recommend the scales purely because the app is so irritating to use - go for another brand which gives you a superior, user friendly, app..Version: 2.4.0

Could use some design improvementsEufyLife makes it pretty easy to track your weight with a Eufy scale and is mostly easy to use, but I have several suggestions that I think would make it a much easier app to use. 1. Dark mode support would make it easier on the eyes at night and would fit better with the contemporary aesthetic of iOS apps. 2. The ability to select a custom color scheme for each user would be a nice touch, instead of being stuck with the weird yellow-green color you get assigned or whatever. 3. Auto detection of the user based on the measured weight seems like table stakes for such an app. It should know when my girlfriend who is 60 lbs lighter than me is using it and not make me manually switch users. 5. Ability to zoom out of trends to see a longer history would be nice. The layout could also be redesigned with smaller margins and padding to allow more data to fit on the screen. Maybe even allowing the device to be used in landscape would be helpful for this. 6. Body Fat % seems wildly inaccurate, ranging between 5% to 60%. This data truly seems to be garbage, and if so, just get rid of it altogether, otherwise it does more harm than good. Maybe there are other products aside from the scale I own that are more accurate, but I just wish I could turn it off and delete the data for this. 7. Related to the above point, being able to reorder the trend charts would be nice, so I could put the useless Body Fat % at the bottom and see more relevant data..Version: 2.1.8

App was perfect until recentlyThe app was great. My favorite aspect of the app was that I could see at a glance over time all the measurements the scale provides. Now, I can only see those changes over increments of a week, a month, or a year. And not the last 365 days mind you, but from the beginning of this year to now. It’s a lot more difficult to get the information I want, and they added a bunch of useless features. I don’t need an animated avatar of how my body looks now vs what it should look like. I don’t need to know my weight in avocados. Navigation is much worse that it was—clicking on several different elements on the home page all lead to the exact same screen. Please, change it back to how it was..Version: 2.3.31

No longer syncing correctlyUsed to work fine. Now doesn’t update weight from scales to app despite Bluetooth connection being established and showing as updated. Not much use anymore. Can you roll back to previous app version?.Version: 2.6.1

Used to be betterI got the scale overseas when I was visiting family loved the simplicity and the information it gave me and the seamless connection to the scale was great. Got home bought a P1 pro more advanced model. I noticed they changed the whole app including a avatar of a chubbier version of me and the interface is different and not user friendly like it used to be. Like the saying goes if it ain’t broke then why fix it. Please just leave it the way it was before it was much more intuitive. Also it doesn’t record my numbers every time only when the numbers change the old app recorded it every time I stepped on the scale needs a serious revamp and bug fix….Version: 2.3.31

Can’t read the font on latest updateLove the scale, and the app for the most part, but the font is so small on some of the screens and you can’t read the white font on the pale teal background and vice versa. Any decent graphic designer should know you need to have more contrast between your print and the background if you want people to be able to read it..Version: 2.13.5

Useless since the updateWhat on earth have you done to a perfectly working useable app. I used to just open the app the scale reading would be there and then just step on scales. Now since the update some stupid front page opens and for the life of me I can’t find the standard scale reading. Put it back to how it was you’ve ruined it….Version: 2.3.22

Lost data so I can’t trust it.Been using this pretty successfully for months. Today I go to weigh and it tells me a need to log in. I try that and it tells me there’s no account associated my email. So I needed to set up my account again (with the same email) and re-pair my scale. Lost all my data. I use a password manager so I know I had the right credentials. Just seems like they randomly decided to blow away my account. 😡.Version: 2.6.1

Profile Automatically change my infoUp to yesterday, everything was normal and I couldn’t be happier about Eufy. Suddenly today all my measurements were out of wack including BMI. So I went into my profile and noticed that my height was somehow changed from 5’2 to 5’0”. I changed it back to 5’2” and saved and weight myself again. Same wrong numbers were reported. I went into my profile and saw 5’0” again so I changed it back to 5’2” again. I got out of the profile and went back in just to see 5’0” again. Is this a glitch? Please fix this..Version: 2.2.40

New version of app is a retrograde stepThe previous version of the app was easy to use, all reports easily viewed etc. The current version, well on my iPad Pro cannot get passed the “ touch this puzzle “ screen. Why have such a screen? Why complicate a system that worked well?.Version: 2.3.31

P1 Bluetooth ScaleVery easy to use and with a nice user interface. It would be nice to have all the metrics in the “Trends” section, otherwise it’s a bit complex to track them over time..Version: 2.1.11

No Apple health compatibility, no data exportYour historic weight/body-fat % data lives exclusively on their servers. You can't sync it to Apple health or export it in any way. The point of a smart scale is that you can do something with the data, but they don't let you control your own information. Recommend paying more for a scale that doesn't defeat its own purpose..Version: 2.1.12

Good data and scale, horrible app with inaccurate judgementsScale works. I hate being forced to use the app to get all the data (body fat etc.). Also, I would just like the data without eufy’s poor qualitative judgements on each statistic. On doctors assessments I rank in the 80-99th percentile for people my age for all sorts of metrics fitness. EufyLife needs to recalibrate, or better yet, just present the data without trying to make their clientele feel badly about their bodies. Incorporate some sort link that takes you to your data organized and shows percentiles compared to your peers, not this qualitative high - low nonsense which does not account for different bodies..Version: 2.3.30

App brokenPlease fix app ! Since last update I’m having to delete it and reinstall it each time I want to use it as it just freezes on the log in screen This is happening on any device I try.Version: 2.12.5

Weight reading before the previous update are increased by 10x, please fixYou guys should fix this bug where it increased past weight readings by 10x.Version: 2.0.1

Made It WorseAll the screenshots currently up on the App Store are the old version of the app which I enjoyed. Easy to see my own data and well organized. With the new update everything is less granular, harder to read, and looks worse. I want a large graph showing my weight history with data points. Not some vague curve with one point shown per month. Just bring back the old version..Version: 2.3.22

Scales are great, but why can’t I change the weight inputThese scales are great giving so many different read outs, and on the scales you can have stone and pounds yet the app readout only does lbs. I think in any update on the app you need to be able to change the weight input..Version: 2.3.31

More detail in Trends pleaseThe app is ok, and pushes some detail to Apple Health which is cool but there are many data points not easily available. Trends only includes a subset of the data viewable on each history record, so it makes seeing progression in important areas harder to digest..Version: 2.1.14

New app is terribleIt’s almost as if they tried their hardest to design an app that is unintuitive so you have to pay for their subscription. I enjoyed the app when I first bought my scale two years ago, but this latest update makes it very difficult to see my weight over time and instead forces you to view it at the start and end of a given week, month, or year, rather than over a continuous time period. I hope the developers take notice and make this change — we don’t view our bodies by the structures of a calendar..Version: 2.3.31

New appReally not liking the new app. Everything is different. Hard to find history. Automatically created a new profile for me with no history. Rubbish timing as we go into January and a key time when people get back to weighing in. The scales are great. Enjoy that the weight shows through into Fitbit app and NutraCheck..Version: 2.3.31

Requires a remote accountYou can’t use the app without having a EufyLife account. You can’t even get past the splash screen without signing up. But I don’t want a remote account. I don’t want my data leaving my device. Why can’t I use my new scale without creating a remote account? I bought the scale specifically because it was advertised as using just Bluetooth and not needing a remote server connection; apparently that was a lie. Doesn’t even offer Sign In With Apple, so you have to give them a real email address. Incredibly disappointed..Version: 2.1.12

No longer worksEver since the latest update Bluetooth no longer pairs with the weighing scales, so the entire thing is now entirely useless. I wish people would leave things alone that work!!! 😩 Whoever wrote the app doesn't own an iPhone either - Bluetooth is not paired in the settings menu it takes you to; it's paired in the Bluetooth menu and it doesn't work. Very annoyed..Version: 2.1.21

Data isn’t helpful without better dashboardsIt’s nice that it works and UI is clean but having all this data isn’t worth much unless you can makes decisions with it. I find the trends dashboard needing a lot of improvements. My biggest issue with the display is that it is very limiting. For example, you can only see 6-months in the *year* view. You still have to scroll to see the whole year. Moreover, you can only view the Year in the timespan from January to December, as opposed to October 2021 to October 2022. I would actually love to see my metrics on a graph over the course of several years to see how major changes in my life affected my health. Metrics like these fluctuate over long periods of time and so choosing custom periods and seeing that over time helps because I know the life events that influence changes in my weight, BMI, body fat % etc (new job, changes in a relationship, new habits, etc.).Version: 2.3.2

App keeps logging outThe app keeps logging out and now won’t take password reset options..Version: 2.12.4

Scales are great, the app not so muchThe scales are fantastic, and I think I have given a 5 star review in the past. The application on the other hand made some changes which mean I don’t use it as much. It displays your metrics which is done well, but the trends view is almost useless. For example, you can only see data for a given year. This means the view gets more useful as the year goes on, but in January, it was completely useless. The UX on the trends is bad and I miss the old implementation. What I expect to happen, is you click on trends and you can select a start date (including a button to select the earliest date) and you can view data spanning across different years. Depending on whether you select day, week, or month, the chart should take the average of the data for each day/week/month and plot that data..Version: 2.3.31

Slow reading syncCan you please improve the reading speed with the app? I have a no name scale that does this instantly via bluetooth on ios..Version: 2.4.0

NotificationsNo, Eufy, I do not need a notification every single morning to weigh myself. What an utterly bizarre and downright strange design choice. Who comes up with these sorts of ideas? Who green lights them? On what planet would a notification like this serve any benefit?.Version: 2.3.1

Great app, terrible updateBeen using this app & scales for 2 & 1/2 years and love it. But the latest app update and layout (Dec 2022) is terrible. Please, please change it back! There was nothing wrong with it!.Version: 2.3.30

So bad!!You can’t select a weight goal that you want or a deadline date. You can only have 5% reduction and pick a day in January or a day in February as the target date. When asked, the company replied some rubbish about World Health Organisation recommendations. Utter rubbish. Cheap scales, poor app, bad customer service, appalling W.H.O. evolvement and the app ‘engineers’ know nothing..Version: 2.3.21

Another try hardThis bridge app is to get data into the health period. If it would just run in the background and sync when there is new data that would be amazing. Also the scales interface is awful. There is a happy and sad face, 16px x 16px, nearly six feet away from my eyes and they are both yellow. I don’t know why they are both yellow but it’s impossible to tell them apart. Stepping off the scale to take a closer look causes it to go to next screen..Version: 2.13.0

It does just one thing correctlyThis app is good for one thing, tracking your actual weight. The app’s UI is decent, the scales look nice, and the weight tracking is accurate. However, all other body calculations are ridiculous and incredibly inaccurate. The low/normal/high scaling is a breeding ground for unhealthy emotions, people become obsessed over them. Speaking of the scaling, when you compare the Eufy scaling to hundreds of other creditable sources, Eufy’s scaling system contradict all of them, what Eufy class as “high” or “low” can sometimes be classed as normal/healthy everywhere else. The BMI calculation is incorrect, when I input the exact same data into other sources (I’ve tried 6 different ones), they all report the same figure EXCEPT Eufy, Eufy reports higher. Please Eufy, sort your calculations out for higher stars..Version: 2.1.14

New update is so BAD. Old version was good. Can’t understand why you have make this app more complex, less useful and not user friendly. PLEASE go back to old version which was so good..Version: 2.3.31

Disastrous upgradeI have weighed myself every day since 10th Nov 2021 and used to regularly scroll across the time line to compare weight lost since then. Now all I can see is data from the past three days!. This is a classic case of developers jumping the shark..Version: 2.3.31

Best feature removedThe most useful feature used to be the instant scrollable complete weight history chart. This has been removed in the latest version and renders the app near useless for me, and as a consequence have put back on all the 6 kg that I lost between June and November last year. I have written many emails to Eufy requesting this feature to be as soon as possible, and although they have been polite and quick in their responses, there has been no confirmation that it will be restored..Version: 2.3.31

App and scale would be great if it was readable.Who picks a tiny tiny font of free on light grey? It’s very difficult to read and it makes using the app hard for a large number of users. How about you adopt a dark mode and maybe the light green will be more viewable. The. Increase each font by at least 4 points so it can be read without needing glasses on..Version: 2.13.3

ABSOLUTE JOKEOverpriced scale really. You cannot adjust the Trends. Nor are the Trends accurate. You can report them and receive a generic feedback response. The reading are wrong and Customer Service options in Australia is non-existent!!! I went for a professional Body Scan and the ONLY thing that were even remote close (Within 0.2kg) was the actual weight.Version: 2.13.6

This update has bug and UI is not goodIt looks like maybe the accuracy changed in this update? My historical weights and lean body mass is way off. Maybe a decimal place change. I weigh about 165. New weight shows correct but historical is 1650.0 to 1700.0 I liked the old UI better then the new one.Version: 2.0.1

Very weak redesignThe new UI hides a lot of data that was previously visible at first glance, and some of it it is now hidden behind invisible buttons (BMI and Body Fat). The detailed information screens are less legible and fit far less information on the screen, compared to the previous version. And the way the Target Weight is set is just bizarre from the UX perspective. Huge disappointment..Version: 2.0.2

Unreliable AppApp randomly deleted my historical data and upon signing in the interface tries to get you to register an account (I.e. trying to get you to hand over your data).Version: 2.3.31

Not a game! This was a perfectly good app which provided a clear view weight and stats, recent update had gamified it without an option to revert to a simple view of weight / these are scales not a game console!.Version: 2.3.21

Used to be a great appThis app is good for using the smart scales but it used to be so much more visually satisfying. I’ve lost over 7kg and the weight trend barely has a dip in it. Before you would see a really satisfying downward trend in weight. Because of this I’ve moved to putting my weight on third party apps too. Advice - bring back the old weight trend where when you actually lose weight it’s reflected in the graph..Version: 2.6.1

Unfortunately ruinedLoved this app and the scales, newest version of app is terrible unfortunately, the graphs ect for tracking your weight are horrible and show basically nothing. Please change back :(.Version: 2.6.1

Calorie intake customisationNeed more ease in adding customised food and supplementation. Barcode, photo scanning and data extraction from it would be great.Version: 2.13.0

Beware lost dataWhen starting, I created an account with password and all was fine fir a few months Then one day the app required a sign in. I had saved my pass sword and re entered it, but still wouldn’t allow my in In the end all my data was lost and I’ve had to start again Really ANOYING it’s great apart from this.Version: 2.1.11

Eufy permanent lights good and badI have a set of the permanent lights, 2 sets actually. The only thing I use EufyLife for is the lights. I have other Eufy products - several vacuums and 2 security cams that I run with the Eufy Securiry app. I am very happy with the hardware, but software for the permanent lights needs some work. I’ve been working with the app and the permanent lights for 3 weeks now. I can set all the led colors and set lighting patterns. I can use all the pre installed light configurations. It all goes wrong when I try to use anything scheduled. The lights come on and are usually the desired color, but sometimes not, and they always end up in a non static pattern. I finally put them on a Google switch and I just turn them off and on that way. They come up in the color scheme I set with the app. I love the lights and am willing to wait for some maturity with the software..Version: 2.12.4

Collects and shares private health dataWhen I buy a device like a scale I should be able to use it without having to give up my right to keep health information private. My health data should be on my device only and nowhere else. This company has no justifiable reason for collecting it and syncing it to their servers. The terms of service allow the company to collect private health data, and states that they sell anonymized data to third parties. Research has shown that there is no such thing as anonymized data in most cases. The company also says they have the right to sell your data to third parties with permission, but does not make clear what that means. The terms could be changed retroactively and my data could be monetized without my explicit permission, as has happened with many other companies that collect health data for profit. As more people become aware of these risks I expect this app will end up with a lot more one star reviews for their questionable business practices..Version: 2.1.5

Not as accurate as they saySo I’ve been using the scales since around mid-January. I’d just started a cutting phase after a 3-4 month bulk. Initially I wasn’t too concerned about the numbers and how accurate they were. Scales have always just been an extra tool, rather than the one that defines my progress. As I’ve reduced my body fat though it’s becoming clearer that the scales aren’t all that accurate. I had another set prior to these and they seemed to be far better (I upgraded because of the app and wireless communication). The app now believes that my body fat is in the low 20’s and having compared on other devices it shows at around 14%. My physique is also indicative of a lower body fat percentage than the scale is indicating. All in all, they’re not bad scales, the functionality and interface with the app is good and makes tracking progress easy enough. But the measurements don’t seem as reliable as they’d like you to believe they are. Well, for me anyway. Great as a tool if you’re not rules by the scales, but if you place a lot of attention on what scales say, then the results you get may be adversely affected if you have a similar experience to mine..Version: 2.1.0

Cannot adjust text sizeJust updated app and the screen text size has increased with no way of reducing it. Makes reading the results very difficult as not all the text is displayed. Help required..Version: 2.2.40

Stupid sign inEvery so often you have to sign in. Why? Really annoying especially when you’re in a hurry and forgot your password. And they want a new passward plus a pin number. NO NEED!!!!!!!!!..Version: 2.12.5

Beyond Complete GarbageWas fine for 2 months, then I go to update my goal, follow the manufacturers instructions that are on their site, but instead of a modify goal button, there’s a new goal button where the modify button should be, and no mention of this ANYWHERE including their own support documents, click through it a few times trying to figure out how to modify it, hit next a few times, and with no warning a new goal is set and my last TWO MONTHS of progress are gone, no warning that if I hit next again all my data would be gone!!!!!!!!!!!!! All my progress GONE, can’t manually set my weight back to where I started to at least have the same weight loss readings, can’t restore my old goal, spent 2 HOURS restoring old phone backups trying to get my old goal back on the app. NOPE. Can’t get ahold of support. Manufacturers instructions are WRONG. TWO MONTHS of work GONE. I’m getting my money back for this junk one way or the other as this feature is why I bought this P3. Never buying ANYTHING made by Anker EVER again..Version: 2.12.5

Won’t connect to Bluetooth anymoreSince the last update the app won’t connect. The scales are fine and connected to Bluetooth..Version: 2.1.14

Usable if you have to, but quite buggySeems to measure accurately but then, after the app is closed, overwrites some data (routinely erases actual body fat data and says 60.0% instead). So fine in the moment but a rubbish record/trend display..Version: 2.1.11

Recent updates made history charts impossible to readUpdates made in the last month or so have made all of the diagrams and weights look very similar. Changes of 2lb would show nearly on the same y axis as other points of much different weights. The “day”, “week” and “month” charts have changed what they display. “Week” shows a random number of previous week data points rather than the previous 7 days. I wish I could downgrade to an older version.Version: 2.5.0

New update changes everythingI used to love this app and use it on a weekly basis but new update not only deleted all my data but also made it very complicated to review overall weight metrics. People don’t like complicated data, please make it enjoyable for your users! The easier the better…..Version: 2.3.31

I like all the info but…I like all the info you get off of the scale itself, however the nutrition aspect of the app is what I don’t like I get there are better apps out there for that but I would like to at least be able to customize the options or else add them if they aren’t in the apps database, an example would be the things I use for my morning coffee (Nescafé instant coffee & International Delights Carmel Macchiato coffee creamer).Version: 2.13.3

Apple Health Data For Family MembersTheir smart scale is smart enough to correctly detect different users but there are bugs in the synchronization of that data into Apple Health. Main user works fine but other family members don’t sync or sometimes syncs the main user’s data..Version: 2.1.9

WtfAgree. If I had known they were collecting my data I would not have bought the scale. Wifi connectivity should not be an invite to Eufy corporation into my bathroom! I will send product back and just enter weights manually..Version: 2.1.8

Great scale but the app could use some work!As mentioned in the title, I love the scale and I love the portion of the app that breaks down the variables; what I don’t like is the food log! The food log is beyond basic, you can only use a few characters in the search bar and when you enter your own food, or, “customization” it doesn’t allow you to change the weight of the food or put in additional details. The app also doesn’t pull this data from other connected apps, as I have my Carb Manager app connected with my Apple Health, which eufylife is connected to. I would love it if eufy would improve on this portion of the app so I don’t have to use two or three apps to input all of my data..Version: 2.13.2

Not workingApp won’t update weight unless I uninstall and reinstall it every few days.. Completely useless if this is how I have to do it.Version: 2.1.8

Does not update apple healthWhen I purchased the smart scale, I expected it to work with apple health app as described in the marketing materials. Instead it just works with apple health by reading calories I burned data from apple health. But the EufyLife app does not actually provide body measurements data back to the apple health app. The EufyLife app takes but does not give data to apple health. This is a deal breaker for me and I am going to return the scale..Version: 2.12.4

2021 & 2022 it was an easy 5* but this year awful appIn 2021 & 2022 this app was flawless & never had a bug. Was easy to track my health & weight in a good view. These last 4 months, when I open the app it won’t let me click anything. I have to X out three times without getting anything clicked on before it registers something. However, it won’t let me search weight history anymore..Version: 2.8.0

Did you guys change the app?Did you guys update the app recently? Great app last week this week something has changed and it’s so not use friendly. 1 star.Version: 2.3.30

Regularly disconnects from scalesIt loses the connection to my scales and refuses to reconnect, nearly every time I use it. I’m left standing there for 15-20 minutes trying to force it to reconnect. Massive waste of time and money. Absolute rubbish..Version: 2.1.0

I’m not whiteThe scales were great with the old app. As a black female I now am stuck with a white avatar. I was happy using my scales simply for measurements I don’t want or need an avatar and I have an avatar that looks nothing like me. Very disappointed. Couldn’t we have just stayed with the scales not to start offering extra I requested advice and animation.Version: 2.3.2

They ruined the app completelyThis app used to be great. It was a simple interface that let you set a simple weight goal, showed you today’s info, and then access the historical/trend data. Today, it changed to something that’s not what the current preview in the App Store shows. It’s some kind of series of cards and your weight data is hidden in a barely functional menu system. They took away the scale (from the SCALE app) and replaced it with useless features that don’t work. I have historic data still, but it’s all jumbled with my wife’s separate account (wasn’t a problem before) and it says I haven’t weighed in enough to use the trend puzzle piece thing even though I have daily records for the last 20+ days. Additionally, I can’t set just a general weight goal, any more. It’s forcing me to put in all kinds of extra data like a date goal and exercise routines, and dietary data. I don’t need to do that here and don’t want to. I also can’t type in a weight goal number anymore. I have to use their rotating scale interface which is unresponsive and difficult to use. Yesterday, I’d have given 5 stars; today I wish I could give zero. I hate the new app interface. Do not use this if you have a choice..Version: 2.3.2

Some extremely poor choicesThis app is very poorly designed - both the hi and the graphical choices they’ve made. For some reason they thought it was a good idea to have a 3D rendering of what they think I look like look in the ‘my goal’ tab to visualize my before and after weight goal. Except they only have one avatar and it’s a red headed white woman, which i am not. I find this alienating. It would also be really nice to have some features for people with uterus’ since our weights can fluctuate frequently during our cycles. The info provided in each datapoint is minimal and not very informative. This app has the potential to help people develop a healthier and more informed relationship with their bodies. Unfortunately it seems determined to do the opposite.Version: 2.12.4

Latest app update is shockingly badI use this app daily. I’ve reached my latest 3 month goal. Now I cannot save a new goal. Probably one of the simplest, most used, most important aspects of the app and it no longer works. How did this get past testing before release?.Version: 2.3.30

Working againLast update killed the data transfer, but after completely resetting everything I’ve including the scales I’m happy to say it works again. I can once again track my progress. When updating the app it maybe worth noting to customer if data transfer is lost between scales and app remove batteries and reinstall batteries after waiting 30 sec. 👍🏻.Version: 2.1.1

Why did this app get so over complicated? This app was great until the new update!! Very simple, very clean, all the features were on the main page and easy to access from one tap. The app has become way too complicated and is trying to do WAY too much! The new diagrams and animations are really just a total eyesore. What the hell is the point of this puzzle stuff? I’m so confused. But the worst thing now is that it’s no longer possible to just leisurely scroll through my all-time trends history and you are capped to a year maximum. Why is it even capped?!? Most people don’t weigh themselves daily anyway! The graphs are also so much smaller making it nearly impossible to compare to multiple measurements. And the scrolling feature on it is so janky. Please go back to the old trend graphs!!!.Version: 2.3.31

Love the scales - but calorie tracker needs improvementScales are great! Gives me accurate readings and support in my health kick. However some improvements in the calorie tracker would be really useful! - ability to save recipes - ability to save the frequently used measurements - I.E coffee, it’s set at 100g and you manually need to change it to say 300 each time. Allowing a user to save a frequently used item and weight would be a huge update! - ability to add multiples - currently have to add an item multiple times - I.E coffee, which also means having to change the weight again - different weight measurements available for each each item - I.E tbsp, lbs etc Hopefully this gets back to the product team!.Version: 2.8.0

Privacy issues? At least concernsI purchased an eufy scale partly based on its association with the Anker name (something they proudly displays all over the app). When I read that there was a sign-up step to configuring it, I was a little worried that it was another cloudy ploy to collect marketing information, but was pleasantly surprised that they offered a guest mode which doesn't require sign-up. Unfortunately, it won't share data with apple health without sign-up. I'm not sure if this is an apple-enforced app sandboxing, but I have other apps that can. Just now, looking at my phones battery settings, I found that the app had been active for 2 hours and 55 minutes with only one minute of that being because it was in the foreground. What exactly is it doing when I'm not using it? All in all, I'm a little worried about privacy incursions. I like the functionality, but it seems to be busy with more than I've asked for, so it's officially on probation..Version: 2.1.21

Eufy app is now very glitchy in recent monthsAfter the last upgrades, the Eufy app has become very glitchy. The weight and other metrics no longer update on the app. The app used to be much more responsive and now has completely deteriorated. My partner has now decided to stop using it after more than 3 years..Version: 2.3.31

Can’t delete entriesI just got the scale and have been trying it on different surfaces to get an accurate reading but I haven’t been able to delete the wrong readings that it took. This messes up my trends!.Version: 2.1.8

Hate The New FormatWeight trends were much easier to view and understand quickly in the old format.Version: 2.3.30

Pretty, but almost uselessThe scale is great. The app, no. I've only had it for a couple of days. It looks as though it coordinates well with the scale, but I don't know how to track my history or even how to find a lot of information. The first day is good. How do I get to the second day, much less subsequent days and weeks? The "me" tab just shows how to disconnect, that kind of account information. I can't change the day on the calorie tracker. It looks like I had this huge breakfast yesterday; how do I change the day? Seriously , the calendar should be right out there, along with a menu allowing us to choose among all the various items being tracked. The scale changes easily between pounds and kilos; the app does not. And really, counting eggs by weight, instead of number? Get real. The app designers and the committee that approved this thing need to be replaced by folks who understand that functionality is essential and that it needn't come at the cost of very much at all in the way of appearance..Version: 2.9.1

Setting issueThe app was fine and functioning before this 2.0 It was simple but gets the job done, for the scale at least. The weight history is messed up now. Unit(kg/lb) preference could not be saved either.. Update: Unit preference problem is fixed but new issue. Once you’re in the setting menu, there’s no way to go back to scale screen.Version: 2.2.31

Zero starsUsed to love this app that connected to our scales. But since the update we are now looking at buying new scales moving away from EufyLife as we can’t see the information we want to see that used to be available. I can see a lot of similar reviews but still no action. 5 stars for old app 0 stars for current version.Version: 2.6.1

Was Great…The new update looks pretty cool. I preferred the old UI, but this is nice. As for the caloric intake, it’s great to have just one app to track everything. However, I find the values for food to be WAY off. E.g., black tea does not have more than 5kJ… and it does not have 1g of sodium, TF? If there is an option to SEE and EDIT the nutrient values of foods, would be way better. Somehow I don’t believe I didn’t have any Vitamin C today, either… fruit had vitamin C….Version: 2.3.31

InaccurateBest smart scale I’ve ever used. I have found they often lose connection or need to be reset and the EufyLife scale I have has its quirks but it’s been reliable. Unfortunately the body fat numbers are off by about 10% for me and other metrics like water content don’t seem to vary like you would expect, so I don’t really trust the information beyond weight and heart rate..Version: 2.6.1

Great app but missing one featureEverything works flawlessly and is great to track my weight etc. Widgets for the home screen would be nice though..Version: 2.1.20

Used to be perfectThe EufyLife app used to be perfect for my needs, but the latest update broke the weight tracking graph. For some reason the scale used for the graph is no longer based on the previous 7 days so instead of showing me the subtle changes in my weight, all I’m seeing now is a straight life. Really hope that the graph gets fixed soon..Version: 2.4.0

Can only use one deviceWhat’s the point of having 20 accounts if the data is only on one device? The fact I can’t sync the scale to my phone because my partner has already synced hers makes this almost useless. I can’t track my stats on my phone I have to always make sure her phone is nearby and check everything on that device... so disappointing that this was designed this way, it literally benefits no one having the data on one device..Version: 2.1.10

If I could give 0 stars I wouldThe app used to be decent, now it’s painful. I don’t want to weigh myself daily thank you. Trends are difficult to see. Horrible..Version: 2.3.31

Eufy thinks they know better than you on how fast you should gain or lose weight.Don’t update to the new version of the app, if you can avoid it. If you have a weight goal, Eufy now forces a deadline on you. You can only adjust it by a few days in either direction. I cannot believe that passed legal review. Whoever thought “yeah, let’s tell people when they should lose those 5lbs by!” is absolutely insane. No one should tell a person how fast they should gain or lose weight unless they are a healthcare professional working with that person. Gross, Eufy. Put me back in control of my own health - that’s why I bought your scale to begin with..Version: 2.3.22

Charts are weirdUpdate from 1 star to 3: I’ve found the charts are most useful when I either don’t weigh in very often or periodically go through and delete outlier data points so the overall trend can more easily be seen. I still can’t find anyway to change the goal progress avatar - is white the only option?.Version: 2.6.1

Who updated this to garbageAre you trying to make a worse UI? Because if you are, then congratulations because you succeeded! The newest update is convoluted, hard to find key data which is why I bought the scale, and overall way less usable. Fix it..Version: 2.3.22

AlrightIt’s alright, the app works well, the scales work well, I really wish there was a stone and pounds option on the units, having only lbs and kg’s is slightly annoying, I’d also like to see trend charts for all the categories and not just 4 Couple of tweaks and this will be a great app.Version: 2.1.12

Old app was betterThe weight graph is unbelievably bad. Why track weight across one week? Do the designers even use the product? The old graphs were much better..Version: 2.3.31

The new app updateIt’s so hard to use now, before it was so easy and had my last 2 year results and now I can’t even seem to find them.Version: 2.3.30

Apple Health Syncing IssuesThe app and smart scale I use synced the data to Apple health for the first couple of months of using the device; at one point it stopped recording the measurements in Apple health. When I contacted EufyLife representatives, they said it was a backend issue and all they recommended was to wait for their servers to sync. I reached out again for an export of my personal health data, and unlike other smart devices, they do not allow you to reclaim your data that they have recorded. Do not utilize this app if you need a reliable and trustworthy option to record health data..Version: 2.1.16

New app update is awfulThe old app was waaay better! On the new one it doesn’t look as nice, much harder to navigate and difficult to see historic data to compare. I wish I never updated it, really disappointed. I hope the old version comes back as it was far superior to the current version!.Version: 2.6.1

These charts are terribleThe scale gets bad measurements for things like body fat sometimes, and it charts it out on terrible charts that have no scale to the axises-weigh yourself on may 3 and on December 3 and then again on December 5? Those three data points will all be next to each other. If your weight fluctuates .1 pounds in that time you might have a giant spike for that. The scale is unreliable in on getting at least body fat-sometimes it reports I’m suddenly 60% body fat-and it does that for other members of the house. If that’s not reliable, what can I trust about it? What is this scales’ selling features? What are it’s core functions? Because it is unreliable as device and because the data it reports-even if it were reliable-is worthless in the app, I give this 1 star-and that’s because at least it reports this bad data to Apple HealthKit, which does report the data on much easier-to-read charts..Version: 2.1.12

Needs a download or export functionNice scales and well priced but the app is fairly limited. If you could download the data that wouldn’t be a problem because we could just use spreadsheets to do whatever analysis we want. Just yesterday their metrics database went haywire. My numbers haven’t changed but my “ranking” has. My percent fat was “high” now it’s “low”. Not sure if they plan to fix it or not.Version: 2.2.0

Worked fine till a recent updateNow I set my scale to LB and it works. The instant I open my app the app switches it back to KG. The unit of measure is not changeable, only option is KG in the app. Scale will stay LB for ever as long as it’s used as a dumb scale and never connects to my phone. Pretty disappointed that I have to buy a new scale. Won’t be a Eufy, sadly. Never trusted anything outside of weight and some days I didn’t trust that either!.Version: 2.6.0

Login required, poor privacyBe aware, this app requires you set up an account with Eufy to utilize it. Considering that this is health and medical related information, does not adequately protect the user, and should not be trusted. Also, an account should be unnecessary; users should be able to utilize other services such as iCloud or Dropbox to back up data. Beyond that, it’s shocking that an app that involves user health is so aggressive about collecting information about its users, “anonymized” or not..Version: 2.9.0

No longer connects after recent updateUpdate-the app now connects regularly , but it still doesn’t capture weights when scale is not connected to the app. This means I always have to have my phone with me if I want the app to track my weight. 3.5 stars if half stars were an option. Original review-After last week’s update, my scale will not connect with my iPhone app. I like that the combined the data from my two scales, but if it doesn’t add any, that doesn’t really matter. After latest bug fix my scale connected once, but that was it. Also, it used to upload previous weights when not connected, and it did not this time, only the last one. Guess I’ll need a pad and pencil if I want to track my weight. I’ve taken batteries out, turned Bluetooth on and off, put in airplane mode, nothing seems to help..Version: 2.3.31

GlitchyI can do measurements fine but when you hit the arrow to see your current data it won’t let me see that screen. Really frustrating as it used to work!.Version: 2.2.90

Eufy lost my trustEufy’s security app/cloud shenanigans disappointed me and raised my concern about this product as well. There’s a difference between you needing my health data to make your product work on my phone and you collecting my data for your own use. That is unnecessary and unacceptable to me. I purchased your product, but you still want to sell me out. And no, I don’t care if you say my data isn’t linked to me… you shouldn’t be collecting it, period. I’m moving to Qardio instead..Version: 2.3.22

No longer displays statsStarted great but now won’t show stats other than weight and BMI Wont buy again.Version: 2.3.30

Needs updatesScale is good so don’t worry about that. The app has issues. I’ve reported the goal weight issue. Doesn’t calculate goal weight correctly. There is also a permanent red dot on the hamburger menu top left that never goes away even though you’ve read all messages. Not sure why it takes so long to fix these basic issues. The other annoying thing is you click on weight on the main screen, then it takes you to these nice tiles, you click on weight for example to see your weight history… it gives you definition of weight. I want history in those tiles and then maybe a little more info button for all that great info. ALSO, no widgets… not for watch. Not for Home Screen. Why not ?.Version: 2.2.20

Great scale if the only accurate thing you care about is weightThe app is clunky and useless, won’t allow me to measure liquids in ml, only g despite the fact that I have the liquid weight set to ml. I’ll keep the scale because I got it for a very low sale price but I do not recommend.Version: 2.13.2

Not good updateThe new version is not as good as the old one, as this one now can’t show the history chart with all figures, only can shown with month, week or year which is not as comparable as the old version..Version: 2.3.31

AvoidThe latest update is an absolute dog. Most of my data seems to be hidden or gone. The monthly reports only work if I weigh myself every three days. Honestly, my weight does not fluctuate so much I need to be standing on scales twice a week. I can only assume that there’s an idiot at the helm..Version: 2.3.21

Not a fan of the new layoutI mainly just use it to see weight trends. And what once was a tap away is now three or four taps away and it doesn’t display it as well..Version: 2.3.31

Its a gimmickThis scale is a gimmick. It does read anything past your weight and bmi. Everything else is prescripted. Try it yourself. Weigh your self, then grab any ceramic or glass plate which doesnt conduct electricity and watch you body fat percentage go up with your weight. Had high hopes for this but unfortunately its just another gimmick..Version: 2.1.12

New version frustratingCan’t change to metric system. Chat support and telephone support wait times for over an hour each.Version: 2.3.30
