✓ The only WhatsApp compatible appBecause the way WhatsApp works, this app has to work by using the WhatsApp Web protocol. There are a few annoying interface elements which really need to be addressed wit haven’t as yet. The most important annoyance that needs removing is the need to tap twice in certain areas of the interface. For example, taping on a conversation on the list on the left will highlight it but not display the conversation. The user has to tap once again just to get what they tapped for in the first instance. These type of oversights make no sense and are counterintuitive. But then, until someone else makes a more intuitive WhatsApp compatible app, this app is the only choice there is. I hope they put some effort into streamlining the experience so it behave more like the official WhatsApp on a phone..Version: 2.0.2

✓ SO grateful for it!I was so excited when I finally found an app for the iPad. I had Jerry rigged one, can’t remember how, and then it went away so I kept checking the App Store and finally...there you were! I don’t mind having my phone nearby so the iPad works and typing and reading is SO much easier for me in my iPad. The ONLY complaint I have is when I open it and am reading the latest entry it suddenly starts scrolling back SEVERAL days worth of messages! Wish that could stop. Doesn’t happen on the phone. ✓ Almost perfect, for me at least.I have been using Hello AI for about a month now. I speak to the AI politely and I discuss all sorts of topics that the AI responds to positively. I do have two complaints about the app and that is the random crashing and having to restars a conversation when it does eventually malfunction. ✓ Useful but needs refiningNotifications for this app are STILL not working! This is the worse aspect by far and still not sorted! You don't get any alert, flag or sound to tell you when you get messages or replies! Very helpful to allow Whatsapp typing on an ipad for a decent keyboard size. However, there are shortcomings with excessive size of ads banner, failure to scroll down, slow responses etc. etc. The original Whatsapp for the iphone is far superior, but unfortunately smaller keyboards on phones don't suit some people like me but of course voice input for the iphone original version is another option with it's own pros and cons..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Good, with limitationsAll iPad apps suffer from the limitations of simply being a wrapper around WhatsApp web access: and in mobile that means both your phone and your iPad have to have connectivity, at the same time, or nothing much will work (and sometimes establishing that connectivity is pretty slow). That said - and given that I’m not a prolific WhatsApper, although I do use it every day - I find this one pretty good. Its interface is straightforward, the ads are non-intrusive, and unlike most it allows you to put new lines into messages - ENTER doesn’t equal SEND. ✓ Learned the hard way.Loved being able to use What’s Up on my iPad but never for one minute thought a deletion of the IPad would simultaneously clear the postings on the iPhone. Another small aggravation, but still an aggravation is when keyboarding a message I will occasionally get an Alert Tone and the microphone icon which change from grey to white and I have to back space and correct. Overall works well, but a couple of irritations already mentioned by others - can’t start a new line as ‘enter’ sends the message. As a result I send and receive a number of incomplete messages! I sometimes have to press the button for a new user several times to get it to respond. Other users have mentioned the same issue. Like the simplicity of attaching photos etc Overall a good app and as I use WhatsApp on my iPhone it was always missing from the iPad.Version: 1.3.1

✓ Great app!It's fast, never been slow. Super easy to send pictures and videos, better than messenger for sure! I use FaceTime video all the time and calls, which a also very good. Sometimes the quality gets low and slow but then again so does Skype! Honestly so smooth to use, you can personalise your wallpaper, and save certain messages as well as re read old messages fast! The pics and vids also can automatically save to your camera roll on your phone which I love! And the quality of the picture stays the same! ✓ Non-pro version works well enough for casual usersUsing this on the newest 2017 iPad I found the app to be very reasonable and very responsive. My only complaint is the layout for when the keyboard is launched it consumes nearly all of the app's real estate. Therefore I find myself having to minimize it often to read new messages as they came in while I am typing a response. Double tapping a name to launch a chat I find to be an easy step - despite what others have negatively commented on. (Expecting a single click should suffice) Pictures display fine. Message chime in. And you can respond directly from the iPad without having to pick up your phone. In short, it works great and that is all one could ask. 5-stars.Version: 1.2.8
