Waste! Doesn’t workUpdate: developer finally responded(to my complaint from back in December)and ask that i jump threw several hoops before by contacting them on Facebook and or twitter with my ticket number because me emailing them wasn’t enough. What if ur a person who doesn’t have Facebook or twitter like my mom , who i referred to use this all sadly as she’s having the same problem. I’m Not going threw all that every time im supposed to get cash back, there’s way to many other apps i can use. Delete app if u have it and save yourself the trouble!! I used to love this app for like they first few months. But then it started to be slow to pay or not at all. Walmart was offering a cash back and I went there at least six times since is directly across the street from my house and I was never paid I emailed them they said maybe you try using it as a credit instead of debit purchase I did that and still no payment. I emailed back and never heard anything back. This is a waste of space on my phone. Total gimmick do not download!.Version: 2.9.0

Beware when booking travel through Dosh!The other day I booked a hotel through Dosh. There was nothing about a cancellation policy indicated when I booked a room for July . As soon as I received the confirmation, low and behold in big print it said no cancellations. I called them immediately to see if I could change my mind (Groupon gives you a 24 hr grace period to cancel purchases). The number I called was the third party Travel Services. Was told that the hotel itself allows cancellations without penalty up to day before but agent said I needed to call Dosh.. they are the ones that say no cancellation(but after the fact). I called and left message... they claimed they tried to call me back... they didn’t.. emailed them and got a big sorry but too bad email. I asked if I could chat with an supervisor for an appeal.. no rely. Today I see an update to clarify hotel booking policies... site as heck wished I had this update prior to when I booked. WILL not use them ever again! Bad business and bad customer service. Beware!.Version: 1.6.8

Giving bank infoI signed up and linked my card months ago earned enough to cash out. Was going to cash out and realized my card was updated from the time due to a damaged card. Now trying to update my card and it wants my bank log in information. I have several accounts on there I am not giving that information. I want to add only my card and it will not let me. Customer service was no help. I should receive a check for the referrals and cash back I earned. It’s not fair I lose it. There is no reason you need my bank log in. Be careful giving your info out to people. I have two stars cause you can earn money if your willing to give them to me very personal information. I lost my money I earned but I guess some of my info can not be bought. Deleting this app I have no use for it. And will not recommend this to anyone..Version: 3.8.1

It’s a confused mess, and perhaps dishonestI successfully linked a dozen or so credit cards (not debit) and used them... and used them. Not one transaction was detected by Dosh (or perhaps Dosh collected my monetizable buying activity and just pretended it didn’t so it wouldn’t have to credit my account), and I waited over 30 days – Dosh says maximum waiting time for account credit is 10 days. Additionally, the cash-out threshold of $20 is high, hard to obtain, and Dosh also requires that you spend money with one of their current partners before you can cash out. Their partner offers are limited, often silly, and probably not anything most people want to waste money on anyway. So you can see how it’s a way to trick you into giving up financial/purchase details and funnel money to their partners. While I was able to get a reply (no resolution, as customer support is pretty powerless) via email, Dosh prefers to conduct communications via – wait for it – Facebook! Who uses Facebook, and how shady is that? The app is also rife with grammatical errors that will make you cringe..Version: 3.13.0

Sigh. Please read.If you’re looking for an app that changes their terms more than they actually pay their customers, look no further. This is for you. If you’re looking for an app that has employees who give you the run around for months and feed you lies, yet again, this is for you. If this app didn’t run a promotion for free money I guarantee you it would not have as many stars. Don’t get me wrong, I made easy money on here also. But that’s until they suspended my account without warning and fed me lies. I signed up with a texting app, their terms changed months later stating you couldn’t do that, and well you guessed it, they locked me out of my account. Almost $300 in there I worked to get, I earned, I took my valuable time to do. They told me via emails for months they’d change my mobile number, great, I was happy. Then I received an email today saying I won’t be able to have my account back. Cool, Dosh, pick one thing and stick to it. Give people warnings before you go changing things. Should have had it all figured out before even running this app. Not happy whatsoever. Oh and hey everyone, they blocked me on Facebook AND Twitter because I asked numerous times why I can’t access my account or funds. Please keep in mind, I was polite and kind. 4.99 inactivity feeBy far the most lame concept I have ever witnessed from any rewards app. You are required to make a purchase once a year, or withdrawal once a year, or read an email once every 30 days, or they will charge you 4.99… absolutely insane. Why would you blame and punish the customer for your inadequacies? Surely, it may seem reasonable to you, Dosh, because you make money and add fear and punishment to your users who can’t meet the required 25 dollars to cash out, which I checked is now 15 dollars, an improvement, yes? However, you simply do not offer anything reasonable, your rewards rates are lower than most services in the industry, on top of the fact you mostly only support restaurants that may only be visited once in a blue moon, so it could literally take years to reach the 15 dollars. Your service was SO much better when you were partnered with Venmo, then the cash back was near instant and you supported fast food, coffee places, and most importantly, grocery stores, back then, Dosh was at it’s height and the only reason I considered making an account after they broke their partnership with Venmo. Personally, after all of this time since then, I can see why it happened, Dosh is just simply a mismanaged and incompetent business, unable to secure simple cash back offers that any other rewards app easily offers that Dosh simply will not. Really sad saying thisI joined Dosh back in December (i was referred) and at first is was pretty awesome i was getting my money on time and everything was peachy until this second promotion. Since last Sunday I’ve gotten over 20 people to sign up and have only gotten paid for about 2 I’ve submitted tickets.(7 to be exact) Nothing but the automated emails they send everyone. Since there’s no number for this company I’m missing out on 18 referral bonuses. It’s super discouraging because I’m about integrity and I’ve referred so many people and now I’m starting to feel like this may just be a scam. Dosh. I understand your volumes are high. But if you know anything about customer service than you would know not responding to your customers in over a week and automatically canceling out tickets without even asking a customer if their problem has been resolved is totally unacceptable. DisappointingI downloaded the app with minimal expectations; if I get a few bucks back here & there then cool, I’m shopping at these places regardless so it’s free money back-love the idea. One thing that I noticed when I first signed up and would check to see which restaurants or companies in my area were participating was that there were hardly any places on the list. I thought maybe it was because the app was relatively new or just hadn’t been made known in this city yet (Buffalo’s not that small of a city but it is what it is) but figured it’d gain popularity and more choices would pop up eventually. Online offers seemed to have a decent list of participating retailers so I figured local places would catch on too. Boy was I wrong. There are even less places on my nearby list for offers and the online retailers have dwindled to about 8 lol (from previously having a couple pages to scroll down). The big one for me is Sephora, both online and in-store. The app started out decent but seems like the marketplace for apps like this has been saturated. Poor Customer Service***UPDATE*** It’s now been 23 days and 4 tickets later and still no response from customer service. The Facebook messenger bot gives me the standard please submit ticket if not answered within 1 week. I have reopened the original ticket and the second one I placed. Just opened another today. They were quick to open a ticket, suspend my account, and close their ticket but I can’t even get a response from “customer support” or lack there of. Guess the waiting game will continue. I LOVED the app. It was fun to try new places get cash back and share for an added bonus. Then out of the blue I’m locked out and cannot transfer my earnings. So frustrating! All I get is an error. Saying there appears to be possible fraudulent activity. What does that mean?!?! I don’t know please submit a ticket and our customer support will get back to you in 2 business days. Used to be a great app...Everything worked great up until about a year ago. I mostly used Dosh for cash back for my purchases at Sam’s Club. They stopped giving cash back for in store purchases at Sam’s Club, but I kept on earning a little cash back for a few other merchants here and there. Wasn’t happy about it, but it is what it is. A few months ago they started mobile offers for Sams and I thought great. Since I started taking advantage of these mobile offers for Sam’s Club I’ve racked up a small chunk of cash back...unfortunately, all of those transactions are still pending. They have been pending for months now. Every other transaction has been processed in a timely manner. Contacted customer service, but they aren’t responding. Customer service has never been even a little bit responsive. I’d like to cash out and delete the app altogether, but I don’t meet the threshold to transfer money because most of my transactions are still pending. So frustrating!!! I just hope this isn’t an issue for lots of other merchants. A small amount of cash back just isn’t worth the hassle. No helpSo I’m traveling from Arizona to Ohio. Pulled over for the night obviously tired. Had been wanting to use DOSH for a while and I would pull up hotels on my phone in app before I finally tried it. I purchased a room to only find out that I purchased the correct hotel but the wrong address. It was the address from the previous night hotel. The hotel manager was so sweet she also called DOSH, and was also hung up on. Then she called to have the hotel transfer the price or cancel it so I could repurchase. They wouldn’t. Then we called DOSH. Long story short, we were hung up on 2x. Then finally got someone. They shut us up by saying they would call the hotel the next day and get this resolved and there was nothing I could do more. Well—— My credit card was still charged for the accidental address and for the correct address. 175$ for the night this cost me for both hotels. DOSH IS NOT WORTH THE STRESS, AND CUSTOMER SERVICE WILL NOT HELP YOU!!!!. I understand non refundable but they are able to transfer since I got the address wrong..Version: 3.16.1

Some potential but ? the goalStarted out ok. Made 2 referrals and that worked fine. Disappointed in the places on there as most are local fast food and Hallmark. How often does someone shop in a Hallmark store, but hoped with popularity the participants would grow. No growth as yet and the one restaurant that wasn’t fast food doesn’t include the location near my home. Seems to be a big push for referrals offering incentive which would be great if it worked. Like many who have recently complained, I referred a family member who downloaded with my link but when trying to sign up got waitlisted. When he was able to sign-on there was no ‘record’ of my referral. Just got notice that they closed my query and would not further investigate or honor ‘problem’ referrals. Yet I keep getting emails about special referral incentives. They either do not have their application working properly, are going under and trying to save it or the intention is to get as many on board so they can sell to Fetch Rewards like Mobisave. Utterly disappointingI’d had a problem with not receiving my $10 and only received $5. Following there antisocial system I was restricted to only being able to submit my concerns via help center. The next day or so. I was basically told everything was done according to the promotion. After being unsatisfied with their false statements. I proposed the concerns differently. I’m sure you know what they did yet again. So, I wanted to just leave the site alone only to find out that there was not a visible option to remove my cards' personal info off. But it gets dirtier. As I said before I’d was initially upset for only receiving five dollars out $10. So by doing the math what do I have left? Yes!🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔 5 bulks. Nice ideaI use other cash back apps for online shopping and liked the idea of this one. However, the number of locations near me that participate is shockingly low. I have $19 in cash back sitting there that I can’t do anything with because I don’t meet the $25 minimum. Most of that is from the sign up bonus but it’s still annoying. I have the app linked to all my cards and I just don’t live near enough participating shops. I got excited with the online shopping addition, thought I could get up to $25 and withdraw the money and then just let it gather whatever pennies it does on my rare Dunkin trip, but I pretty much always use PayPal. I found out AFTER I shopped through Dosh that they aren’t able to provide the cash back if you use PayPal. I wasn’t anticipating this because I’m able to do that through Rakuten with zero issues getting the cash back. So I’m glad it works for the people finding success, but I wish I had known how few options I had when I signed up..Version: 3.14.2

Misrouted My EarningsSo I signed up for this after reading referrals from a website. Money began adding up in no time as I’m a regular customer for one of the stores advertised on Dosh. Finally earned enough cash to do the transfer and gave them the info for my savings acct. Double checked everything to ensure all my acct info (routing, etc) was correct. Hit the submit button on Oct 26th. Gave them 5 business days per their site. My bank acct still has nothing. I go log into Dosh, go check the history and it shows the transfer was made.......to a TOTALLY DIFFERENT ACCOUNT. Even the name didn’t match up.....I bank with one of the larger banks in the US. The name of the bank in my history is some small bank in FL that I never heard of (I do not live in FL). Went back and checked my Dosh to ensure that I didn’t make a mistake. Nope my info from my big bank is still there and shows the correct name. Why is my money being routed to a bank acct that I don’t own? In FL where I don’t live?? Sent message to support on the matter. Going on 2 weeks and I’ve heard nothing. Be very wary of dealing with these people. 1 Dec 18 - Noticed a developer commented on my review. STILL don’t have money in my bank account nor was it returned to my Dosh profile. Last time I heard from Dosh Support was on 18 Nov and it was just a message from a lady stating they were still backed up and would get to me soon. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP!!!! BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!!!!The app is actually decent, but whenever you need help with anything from customer service it is anything but decent. I booked a hotel from this app, a refundable hotel mind you. Because of the coronavirus pandemic my hotel was closed so I cancelled it through DOSH almost two weeks before the actual vacation. I’m sitting here 2 months after the cancellation and still have not received a refund. I called on 3 separate occasions, before everything was shut down due to the pandemic and was waiting over an hour each time before I ultimately hung up the phone. And the latest is I have sent a few emails to customer support, which finally got back to me almost a month later, which gave me a number to call for the refund. I called that number and was told by whoever I was talking to THAT THEY WEREN’T THE PLACE TO CALL!!! Cash back rewards expireYour cash back rewards can expire because they charge a 4.99 maintenance fee if you have an inactive wallet. I thought the money had to be used in the app so I was waiting until I needed something. And I don’t remember being told this fee would occur so it feels icky to realize you lost money just because of a technicality. I wish I was notified of this when it was about to happen the first time (& anytime it happens) ahead of time because I would have acted on it. **The app sends direct notifications which are helpful for grabbing attention more effectively. Everyone sends emails so there are too many to properly keep track of & respond to. If someone has notifications as well as various forms of contact information, it’s most helpful to structure these types of notifications to get through all the white noise as effectively as possible.**.Version: 3.78.1

Didn’t get cash back on MasterCard.The app works very well in theory all one has to do is type the credit/debit card in the Dosh account and you can receive cash back instantly. I have received all my refer cash back. However what made me not give this app a 5 star. Was the fact that I have used my Master card HSBC credit twice on eligible sams club items one for 35 dollars and the other for 13 dollars and the total amount of cash back I received for both transactions was 4 cents. That’s ridiculous!!! The cash back for eligible items on those transaction should have way more than 4 cents. I have contacted Dosh support several times about this issue and they only answer me once and that was almost 3 months ago!! They have yet to fix this issue which is getting me frustrated and second guessing about this app! Hopefully no has the problem that I have been dealing with..Version: 1.7.0

Slow or even "No" to payI was excited at first as I joined on during the January 2018 promotional bonus period during which $15 bonuses per referral were supposed to be paid after the referral downloaded, registered and linked a credit/debit card to the app. Most of my friends and acquaintances were skeptical. I signed up during the small remaining period left of the promo so I had little time to recruit people. I managed to recruit two; one for which I was paid the due $15 but I still remain unpaid a month later for the second one. (I was paid only $5 of the $15 bonus.) All the requirements and deadlines were met and I have screenshots to prove them. I have contacted Dosh several times via its support and help link after awaiting an answer and not receiving one. Finally, one rep from Dosh sent me a reply that they had corrected all overdue payments and were no longer accepting "tickets" for inquiries regarding them. This is crap! They owe me $10. Not a huge amount but I earned it and met their requirements. This is a huge disappointment. I am no longer trying to recruit people to Dosh due to this. Also, it took around a month for them to correct an alleged system glitch or error that prevented certain consumer promotions/offers/rebates from being paid. I do not recommend Dosh to anyone. I will continue to use it for its deals and offers but will not be the cause for someone to go through the frustration I have trying to collect my pay..Version: 1.6.8

DO NOT USE DOSH! - Inactivity Maintenance FeesDosh charges $4.99 a month from your earned cash back credit on your account after 365 days of inactivity. So say you saved $20 in cash back credit on your account. After 365 days + 4 months that $20 that was yours is now Dosh’s $20. They will take your cash back credit on your account from you that you had earned yourself if you don’t interact with the app. This should be illegal. It was your earned cash back reward, why are you charging fees for an account being inactive for a year? Literally no other cash back websites or apps charge maintenance fees on inactive accounts. Stay away from Dosh at all costs for their shady business practices that are borderline illegal. They will take the cash back you earned away from you. Try Rakuten or literally any other cash back website/app if you want cash back on your purchases. Dosh is a thief!.Version: 3.80.0

It’s not worth the few dollarsUpdate: kudos for a prompt response from the developer (I had a ticket in just two days ago) but I’ve gone back and forth about this for six months. The response ranges from « this is the merchant’s policy to we can’t find it.” I’ve lost about $20 in this so you can keep the $23 already there because it will take 4 months to get the last $2 for transfer. Like I said, it was great until it wasn’t and I rarely write bad reviews but I’m tired of the stock response and nothing earned but frustration Original: I used to like this app s lot. Now its not worth it; its not only painfully long to get a little cash back, but like walmart, if your total shrinks or expands based your need, if it doesn't match dash’s total, youre out of luck. I don’t trust this app anymoreAt first, it was great. It was nice seeing all the little cash back offers add up with our regular purchases with linked cards. But not one offer has been added to my account since 4/18, and we’ve eaten at one restaurant- listed as a 10 percent cash back option- at least three times. We’ve shopped at sams club, also a Dosh participant, weekly, and again, nothing. We have $21 in our account just sitting there abs cannot withdraw it because the minimum is 25. I’d like to just drop dosh and look into other cash back programs, but don’t want to just leave the money we DID get back behind. We are owed a decent chunk of change (no one goes into dams club for “just the little things”), but I have no idea how to get it. Because the app was working fine for so long, I haven’t kept receipts, and the help/support tab on the app is useless. I’m not happy and won’t be unless dosh developers figure out what’s wrong, fix it, and give an “oops we messed up” cash back bonus to app users who have been shafted. Doesn’t Always WorkI made a purchase specifically because of the good rebate amount they were offering. I went to the location on my map too, used the card registered on the app, and nothing. Sent an email with a picture of the receipt as proof, and an automated response said they would get back to me within a week. It’s been 3 weeks. Sent another email today and got the same automated email response. Very disappointed, I really wanted to like this app. And I know it works (when it wants to) because I’ve gotten money back from other places instantaneously. Looks like it only works within a 2 mile radius of my house. At least a follow up response saying something like “we’re still working on your issue”, acknowledging my problem. But sadly no. I’m sure there are other rebate apps that work better, even if I have to scan my receipt..Version: 2.4.3

It’s fine... or seems so, at leastIt kind of depends what’s in you area for the in-store offers. Like when I first joined, there were oil change places, thrift stores and restaurants. Now there’s only a majority of restaurants, which again, is fine, and def a perk when you travel. It would be nice if you partnered with some gas stations or something. Now the online offers, that’s where I’m taking away stars. 1) there is no “pending” section of cash back earned. Considering the wait time of 60 (per the offer page under a specific site) to 90 days (per the support section), I think that a pending section would really clear up the mystery. 2) why do online offers with target and Walmart but not in-store? I just think it would make better sense to offer both since you are partnering with them already... But as I said, it’s fine. Very disappointedI was very excited about this app. I have posts on FB and encouraged people to use it. Not anymore. I have to make sure I take pics of my receipts because apparently I have to track all my stuff to make sure I get the money back. I joined because Walmart was one of the places you got cash back from. It was 6% when it started and then I think it dropped to 3% but now it isn’t even on there. Neither is Chevron. Both places I was using for this app. When I realized I wasn’t getting my money back I sent a support ticket. That was Dec 16th. I got a response Feb 19th finally and was told not to use debit but use credit. Well first of all, you didn’t say that when I signed up and second...2 months to respond??? In the mean time I have been to Walmart 20 and have not gotten my cash back from any of those visits either but I gave up because I don’t have time to track all this myself. I might add that since the December ticket I have used credit at Walmart and still not gotten cash back so it seems regardless of debit or credit you don’t get it unless you track it and send a ticket and send photos of your receipts. Not UsefulI’ve had this app since near its very conception and was intrigued by the idea that I could get cash back whenever I spend. However, since that time, Dosh has not only continually raised the amount of cash back you needed to have to transfer, but they also started charging “Maintenance Fees” which, as far as I can tell, no other cash back option I used charged. It’s like they’re constantly finding ways to keep you from accruing enough cash back to transfer. These fees were charged when I’d moved away from places that were accepting credit instead of debit, and I didn’t understand why I was essentially being punished for that. I feel like unless you’re the type of person to be obsessed with spending aimlessly, this app isn’t going to be useful. And when you’re spending more than you really need to, is the measly amount of cash back you earn (that in no way makes up for what you spent) actually helpful? False advertisement or doesn’t work properlyThere are establishments that are advertised in the app that don’t pay up. I’ve visited multiple places that the app claims would give back 7% and mother is ever returned. I contacted customer support and they claim they don’t have a deal with the establishment (even though the app led me there). Not sure if it’s a scam or just a badly run business. Update, in response to the developers inquiry: I have used this app to find specific locations. This has happened multiple times where the app directs me to an exact restaurant, I use the exact card linked with my Dosh account and nothing happens. I’ve gone back and forth for other 6 weeks with technical support and they keep coming up with reasons why I’m at fault when I’ve followed every protocol set up by dosh. I wouldn’t have spent money at these places in the first place if it wasn’t for this app. I’m convinced your service is glitchy or your app falsely advertises the incorrect locations. I’ve stopped using it as there hasn’t been any resolution to this problem..Version: 1.6.6

Did not work at allI downloaded in December 2018, received my $5 sign on bonus and cancelled my account at the beginning of March. The app NEVER worked for me. No notifications from any transactions, no history other than the $5 which Dosh can keep, nothing! I contacted customer service several times asking for help but got nowhere and finally I had to get rude and demand for my account to closed. Then someone emailed me back, “oh just send us receipts and your bank statements!” What’s the point?? There were months and months transactions to go through and no receipts kept. This app was so disappointing and I didn’t get even get a chance to really enjoy it. Update:Dosh I explained through one of my emails that going through 3-4 months of transactions was useless because at one point I stopped using my debit card as credit and that I had no receipts to turn in. Not everyone keeps receipts. Plus would it really be worth it to get a dollar here, .50cents there and have a total of maybe $20?? No, not worth my time digging for long lost receipts or sending copies of my bank statements. After looking at other reviews, I’m not the only person upset and/or disappointed. So Instead of addressing my particular review, you guys apparently need to go back to the drawing board and rework your system so that everyone is happy. So farewell and good luck cuz I’m not downloading this app again..Version: 2.10.0
