✓ Booked an earlier test coincidentallyI managed to book an earlier test two days after downloading this app, but it was a bit of a coincidence. I didn’t get any push notifications through, despite asking to receive notifications of any date before the end of April at 4 different test centres, BUT this app autofills your license number, etc and makes logging into the DVSA site a doddle, meaning you can easily check for cancellations throughout the day. I did this and managed to find a test in the middle of February (however I did widen my search to test centres up to an hour away, which I appreciate isn’t necessarily a possibility unless you have your own car). I could probably have found that same test without this app but it was well worth paying for the app just to be able to bypass the queue for the DVSA website and to not have to waste time entering my license details..Version: 1.9.990
✓ It’s OKI suppose it is a half decent app as it allows you to access the DVSA website faster than you would be able to by yourself via a browser. Push notifications are too slow. I have managed to pick a new date for my test twice on the app but both times I did it by myself through going onto the app at random times in the day, manually pressing on one of my chosen test centres and then having the fortune of seeing a closer date. Every time I got a push notification for a cancellation, it had already been taken no matter how fast I pressed it. In order to book on this app you really have to be very very lucky or stay on the app as much as you can and constantly check yourself. Push notifications only useful if there are multiple dates released at the same time (at least on London). I would question the need to pay premium. Premium lets you add more test centres but if you only have a specific one in mind then you’re better off not paying because I didn’t really get the advantages they said came with paying premium. I’m giving it 3 stars because essentially I was able to book a closer test so it does what it says on the tin, but I regret being so fast to pay for premium. App needs an autobook feature potentially and send cancellation notifications ASAP..Version: 1.9.990
✓ Doesn’t always notify you of available testsI’d say the concept of the app is good however, it doesn’t always notify you of available cancellations. I paid for the premium version but there isn’t anything ‘premium’ about it. Even after emailing the customer service team about not receiving every notification, I never got a direct answer. I’d thought I’d receive every cancellation notification but that isn’t the case as there’s always cancellations available if I check on the app myself but the app doesn’t always tell me. By the time I notice these cancellations, they’re already taken. I think there should be an auto-book feature instead because the slot is already booked by the time I get onto the app (if the app decides to tell me). I wouldn’t recommend this app but if you decide to get it then don’t bother paying for the premium version..Version: 1.9.8
✓ Push notifications appear but cannot bookThe DVSA must have changed API because this app logs in but test is never available even 1s after receiving the push. This happens every single time so it cannot merely be a case of “oh, someone else got the booking before you”. Promising UI but unfortunately doesn’t work..Version: 1.8.3
✓ Not usefulI should have done more research first — there are other apps that will auto-book an appointment for you. They hoover up all the available dates instantly, so apps like this are useless. ✓ No notificationsI purchased the premium in order to receive notifications for cancellations, but the only notifications i got were ones that were after my test, so i changed the settings on order to only receive notifications for cancellations before my test, yet never got any through. As well as this, i happened to check the app randomly and there was a cancellation (no notification about it though) and it was before my test, so i clicked on it and it took me to the gov website, and as i was about to get the test, the page kept saying loading, and wouldn’t stop, so i waited for quite a while, then it refreshed and it said that the site’s security had blocked me. Tried again, and the same thing happened. Getting cancellations via the website would be much less hassle and would probably work better. The test cancellation is still showing on the app, even though it’s now been taken, so don’t trust the app to get cancellations. Total waste of money.Version: 2.1.3

✓ Does not work as advertisedDo not download this app and pay for the premium services! I am writing this review in September 2022 and as it currently stands, this app DOES NOT work at all. There are currently a lot of people trying to use these services (backlog due to Covid) but I have been trying to use it for a couple of weeks and this app is completely useless. Sometimes I don’t receive any notifications to say a new date has come up - by the time I manually go into the app to check those dates are long gone. On the odd chance that I do get notified of a new date, in the few seconds it takes for me to instantly click on the notification and be redirected to the website, the dates are already gone and you’re left with nothing but an error message. Lots of other similar apps offer an automatic booking option which is obviously snatching up the dates quicker than this app can notify its users. Paying the money for the premium service is absolutely pointless and it is does not work as it’s suppose to. I would seriously save your money or maybe download one of the other apps with an automatic booking option built in..Version: 1.9.9995
✓ FlakyApp is flaky. Suspect it is not properly coded for less than the latest iOS although they appear happy to take your money. Notifications don’t work on iOS 12 reliably. Then the almost constant need to overcome the DVSA bot (it should only happen once) mean it is virtually impossible to get in quickly. When you do get through the bot the ensuing process of the app supplying your credentials is far slower than if you do it direct on the DVSA website. Support slow and lacking detail. Won’t, or just don’t know, the answer to all the support questions transparently and completely. Won’t or can’t say whether later ios, wifi, 4G, faster Ethernet or different or multiple devices will provide faster opportunities. Or how often they interrogate DVSA site. Or why really they have a refresh delay feature. Etc., etc.. I’m left feeling it’s a £10 lottery ticket and if you get lucky it’s just luck you were able to do so quickly and not your personal rapid response. It would be nice to talk to a human and then this prompt might not have been necessary..Version: 1.9.91
✓ Not what I expectedWhen I purchased this app I was under the impression that I would have my pick of cancellations before my test in the hopes of moving it forward, I was wrong, I had a pick of cancellations that were 2 months after my test date. The cancellations that were ideal for me would randomly pop up on my phone. I’m not glued to my phone so I missed notifications but I understand that cancellations would pop up at anytime. The most annoying thing is that a few times I have received a notification for a cancellation and have tapped it as soon as it came onto the screen, it would then transfer me to the gov website and crash or freeze so I couldn’t take the slot. This app would be great if u were struggling to even book a test but is soul destroying if your trying to move it forward. To be honest this app has put me off moving my test date altogether..Version: 1.9.92

✓ Misguided me!I had booked a practical driving test for 17th of July, which I decided to cancel for some reasons. As I had Testi app on my phone and used to use it to make any amendments regarding my test date, etc., I used it again to cancel my test, but as soon as I opened the app, I received a message, saying my test has been cancelled as someone else had booked it before I did. So I thought the test has been cancelled and I have received a refund. But just on last Friday, I realised that I have not received any money back from DVSA as a refund. So I went through the DVSA website (this time directly and without getting any help from Testi) and I surprisingly realised that the Test has not been cancelled. I tried to cancel it but realised I could not as I had been left with just couple days before the test and it was not refundable anymore. So, avoid this app. There are plenty of good and reliable apps which you can use to make amendments regarding your practical driving test. Another issue I had with this app was that I had premium account but I was rarely receiving notification regarding new available test dates..Version: 1.5.2
✓ It’s .. OKI DO think it is worth paying for the premium as it sends push notifications to notify you of any cancellations. There has been cancellations daily for me. HOWEVER, it let me grab a cancellation at the beginning and change my date. Since then it doesn’t let me do a second one? I’ll be on my phone when a notification comes through and I’ll click very very very fast, and all of a sudden this date has already been taken? I believe the date has not yet been taken and they prioritise people who haven’t had a cancellation yet. I am looking for a date closer to November/December and can’t get one until January, every time one comes up I am always so fast to click it as soon as it comes up but it’s magically been taken? I don’t believe on most of these that I have clicked someone has got it already. So the app is good for when you first get a cancellation but doesn’t work for the next..Version: 1.9.96
✓ Doesn’t give you all notificationsI wrote to testi asking why I was getting so few notifications. Their reply was they don’t send all the tests to everyone, they “share it around” and send you some. It made me wonder what I was paying for. I initially managed to change a first test to a more suitable time/booking centre (for 5 months away) but I wonder if having done this it meant I got hardly any further notifications. I have also never got a test by clicking fast enough, probably because I don’t find out about it through notifications but through checking the app regularly and of course I am always too late. Not impressed. Still no cancellation date by the time I would like it having been using it for probably 6 weeks and spending my life checking it because I cannot rely on the notifications..Version: 1.9.9995
✓ Helpful but not worth paying forPurchased the paid version of the app, but have noticed I rarely actually receive the push notifications. The few times I did get a notification, the slot was long gone by the time the app had even opened. Randomly checking the app throughout the day sometimes showed slots that hadn’t been sent as notification - but again these were long gone by the time I tried to book them. I have been very quick/active on the app - checking very regularly in the day. The most useful part of the app has been being able to log directly into the DVLA booking website without needing your licence number etc - though sometimes it does throw up an error message and blocks access to the portal which is less than ideal when you’re trying to quickly nab a slot. Haven’t been able to book a better test than my original. The app is helpful but not worth paying for..Version: 2.1.1
✓ Nice app with a only a few butsApp is generally good to get notifications of cancellations. I love the fact trust you can add up to 4 centres for the premium version. Also love the fact that irrespective of your changes and rebooking, once you hit the refresh button the app automatically pulls your new test information without the need to retype or remember your details. Downside is that you are almost never the first in the queue to book I know this may be because of multiple people trying the book however I find that sometimes the notifications come later than posted on the website so by the time you get there the test may have already been snatched up. My recommendation is that notifications come in as slots open up. It may be to do with the configuration but honestly if this time can be improved by even 2-5seconds I am sure it will make a huge difference. Other than that, I love the app.Version: 1.9.8
✓ Almost impossible to useAs we all know currently is an absolutely awful period to be a learner driver. I’ve got a test booked for September and everytime a new booking comes up some aspect of the app seems to fail. The google verification is almost impossible to do quickly, the amount of time it takes for the auto login to work seems to vary from a few seconds to half a minute, which when considering I live in a place where the nearest test is next year for all test centers, isn’t good enough. By the time you are able to log onto the app the test is always already taken by someone else most likely using a slicker & quicker app. If you live in an area where the test centres are quiet you might get on well with this, but if you are like me in a very busy area a smoother app is probably better in all honesty.Version: 1.9.8
✓ FrustratingPaid for the premium membership and got a cancellation which was around 5 weeks away which I was happy with but there was regular cancellations coming through for earlier tests and every time I hit the notification, it would say test not available and gave me a few reasons why this can happen. I understand that other people are also desperate for cancellations but a few times the notifications came through I was so quick to open it, that quick that the notification didn’t make a sound on my phone, I’m talking milliseconds here and yet when I opened it , it says test not available, which is extremely frustrating. Although I’m happy to have had a cancellation which is better than waiting to my original booking date, I am starting to think there are people who are getting an advantage or a heads-up on when early cancellations are coming through because it is literally impossible to be quicker to open the alert than I have been, so you can expect to get cancellations but you will need to be lucky to get one you really want..Version: 1.5.7

✓ Okay - not worth the premium accountI bought the premium account as I was recommended it by a friend but it’s really not worth it. I didn’t even receive any notifications that it promised, it often doesn’t actually have all the tests that are available on the gov website, and if you click on an available test on the app to go through to the DVSA website in order to change your test booking - the link doesn’t work. There is an error in connecting from the app to the website so it’s completely not worth the £12 for the premium version. However, I do recommend the app on the free version because it is a quick and easy way to check the available tests (that it shows are available) and you just have to be patient as 9/10 times someone else will beer you to the rest you want but it is helpful in moving your test date..Version: 2.0.2
✓ Mission ImpossibleThis is good - when it works, but there are some problems that need addressing. First is that no matter how fast you react to a notification for a test you’d like to register for, the test disappears before you can get to it. I know there’s a huge demand for tests, but I can’t understand how, if you respond the instant you get the notification that it’s already gone that it’s fair or workable. I’m guessing the tests are already gone before you get the notification, perhaps by people on other apps. Second problem is that you can’t schedule an exact date range for notifications - it’s either before or after, so currently, although I’d like to look at dates around two weeks after our scheduled test, I can’t narrow it, so I’m getting notifications every minute for dates in February, which hopefully we won’t need. It’s truly frustrating - and the whole driving test process is already frustrating enough. Please fix!.Version: 1.9.95
