✓ Has potentialVery addictive and fun game at the start and was on course to 5 stars until it gets to the stage where you can’t progress until you have lots of cash to hire higher level coaches etc to be able to progress. This can be grinded with hitting partners but you would need to play 200+ games on repeat to be able to afford 1 coach so essentially makes you pay to progress further in the game as nobody will take the time to play brainless training games that many times..Version: 2.38.14
✓ Typical Pay to Win Game Although AddictiveThe game is really addictive and at the start it hooks you in, but then quickly becomes either a play to win game where you have to buy the gold bars to get money to improve, or you embrace the grind and play 10,000 training matches to get the best staff and training improvements. Game freezes regularly, (I have screenshots of this), usually happens whenever my screen locks automatically or if I access another app for a moment. Sometimes the court when playing a match is white like snow rather than red or green for clay or grass. I’ve screenshots of this too so if the developers want to get in touch then by all means do so. Also when you get higher ranked it usually takes a couple of tactics to beat any half decent player in game, but then you don’t get much in return from the tournament bags and bags you can cash buy, so a lot more quantity and quality tactics need to be given out, that would make the games less of a bore and more enjoyable when playing matches. Overall it’s a good game if you’re prepared to grind for money or pay to improve gradually over time, if not, then it’s maybe not the game for you!.Version: 2.34.6
✓ It’s okay.This tennis simulation is kinda of cool but can be really frustrating. Your player has an overall that can be increased by using these power ups in game however, I don’t know what kind of random decision making algorithm that goes on to give points to either player, but there have been times where I will use power ups and my player overall will be over 10-15 points higher than my opponent, and my opponent will win 3 or 4 straight games it’s just so frustrating what’s the point of using power ups if you’re just going to lose anyway. Once you get to be ranked 200 in the world the 5 star tournaments are too hard to do well in, but the 4 star tournaments aren't that easy because you lose often even though your player is rated higher than your opponents so you’re stuck with a game that’s no longer enjoyable as it takes way too long to increase your overall to be competitive in 5 star tournaments (unless you have a thick wallet). Going down to 3 star tournaments when in this situation makes games so easy you don’t even need power ups to win so basically, this game just reaches a point where unless you have weeks upon weeks of free time to spend on the game, you have to pay a lot to truly continue enjoying the game..Version: 2.37.4
✓ Pay to winThis games is a microcosm of real life. As a free to play player, Top 10 is a far-fetched dream. If you don’t have money, you can’t hire coaches, you can’t afford training, you can’t get any better. And if your not strong, you get destroyed by better players, and the cycle goes on. I became to enjoy the game as a broke tennis player happy breaking top 100. Seriously, Top 100 is a feat. By then, I’m too old to develop my game and it’s time to retire. lol. ✓ I dont get itAs someone who has played tennis my whole life i love the idea and most of the execution of this game. Im not a big fan of the in app purchases, but i can deal with it since it doesnt really shove it down you’re throat. But what i cant seem to understand is the card system in match’s, in my opinion is completely stupid. First off the tactics should be an unlimited use, it doesnt make any sense that i cant use my forehand missile even though its my characters main offensive weapon. Second match’s dont seem balanced right, in a game where i have a tennis lvl of 58 and my opponent has a tennis lvl of 42 there should be no reason for my player to lose that matchup. Third the ranking system is rough, I respect the devs for making such an accurate ranking system to the real life version. However i feel like this system has a habit of kicking me while im down. Heres an example after going on losing streak of losing first round in two 3 star tournaments i make it into the top 4 of the last tournament in the season and lose in a final set tiebreaker and drop another 15 points. Im sorry but the real pro scene is that not rough, overall the game is fun but these problems really hold the game back in my opinion. I still enjoy the game since to me this is one of the better tennis ios games to play but i would like to see a change to these problems..Version: 2.41.7
✓ Don’t actually get to playIt looks like a lot of work went into creating this game, but I don’t know why they bothered. You don’t actually get to play any tennis. The match happens in the background. I guess you can lay down a card that makes your player hit the ball hard. But you don’t actually see your player play. You just watch the score change. ✓ Good game. Buggy systemSo I love this game. I come back to it all the time to play it but when I say come back I mean that. It frustrates me and I leave it constantly and never end up playing it for too long. The game play is phenomenal. BUT THE GLITCHES THE FORCE CLOSING THE BUGS ARE ASTRONOMICAL. I can not stress this enough if you are looking for a game to play. This one requires patience just to simply operate. And it only gets more annoying that there are consistent updates and nothing ever fixes itself. For instance. There’s been a bug since the game started that everyone reports. Every few days when you are playing if you try to open the shop for anything the app will force close automatically leaving you unable to purchase tactics bags or extra cash for training using the gold that you earned playing tournaments and waiting out the long periods it often takes to train at high levels. Fix the simple bugs for the people that love your game please! Stop listening to everyone else about all the other non sense..Version: 2.59.1

✓ Great game, but if seems riggedThe app is excellent, but it’s so rigged. My level is 55.7 and I am somehow still losing to players 45.0 in the 2-star tournaments. I use the tactics at the right time too. Legit whenever I use aggressive return in a tiebreaker I see the difference in tennis level between me and my opponent it’s around 15-20 points and I still lose them 50/50. Like, it’s so luck based it doesn’t even seem accurate. But whenever I vs players who are a better tennis level I just get chopped 6-3 6-1. Where’s the consistency?????.Version: 2.42.8

✓ Fun to begin with...Hi, I’m writing a fair and honest review. At first I was in love with the game, it’s creative, as all the players (close enough without copyright) and has a full tour. So much potential. However as I’ve played the game more, and got into bigger tournaments, you really need to spend money to make your pro catch up with the top 100, top 50 etc. Which is fair enough I guess. Unfortunately even that isn’t enough, as my pro has lost to players of a lower level, even when I’m using the high level tactics to my favour for some unforeseen reason the game decides I’m not winning regardless of anything I do. Must be scripted. If this happened now and again I’d be fine with it, or if it worked the other way, and id be able to overcome a player higher than me when they’re using tactics, that would even it out. Unfortunately neither of those apply, the game just decides to make it near impossible for you to make it far in the big tournaments, Masters events and slams. I don’t know how to overcome it, spend thousands? Anyways, anyone thinking of getting the game take this in mind before you’re hooked and get lured in to the scripted money trap..Version: 2.44.2
✓ Designed to FailAlthough elements of this game are enjoyable, the fact you max out at just under 90, when your main opponents go up to 97, is clearly a design fault, or a cheat by the developers. You can add more points by employing coaches, but I have now employed two coaches in every position and still can’t consistently win matches. Employ tactics that give you over 20 points more than your opponent, still lose. Cheating in games is unacceptable, but if the game does it that’s ok? Putting time and effort into matches is supposed to gain reward, but not in this game. Avoid. UPDATE: I now have at least 2 coaches for each position, in places 3, bringing my level close to the No 1 player. Use level 6 tactics in grand slams, which gives me a clear 10 point advantage over opponents and still get beaten makes me believe that this game is totally rigged..Version: 2.35.10
✓ Good game but stupid concept of points!I’ve won the highest ranked tournament (MTF500) in a given week yet still other players got more points than possible (more than 100 points) when there isn’t any elite or major tournament in that week. Fix it. If there really are limited points (for instance, winning a same tournament twice doesn’t really give any additional points) then why the hell does top player’s point increase when I take those titles away from him. Shouldn’t his points go down for losing a tournament just as mine does in the following season?.Version: 2.32.10

✓ Addictive: Bring WalletIf you're a tennis fan you will love the strategy and tactics of this game. Note: You don't actually play tennis matches, hitting the ball and moving around. It's real time strategy where you play cards that give your player advantages at the right (or wrong) moment. This is a freemium game. You cannot play at higher levels without paying money. I don't really like that the in game economy is not sustainable. That is, even if you win all your matches - you can't afford the upgrades. You could continue playing at the same level for a while, but eventually you'd have to buy in-app purchases even to do that. I feel that if you pay X amount of money to upgrade your character, you should be able to play sustainably without having to make further purchases. To give you an idea, highest in app purchase is $119, (almost double a console game) and it will last you a day, give or take a few hours. Overall, it's an amazing game for a purest tennis fan... just make sure you have a well paying job if you want to progress. Because if that - I have to give it 3 stars. ✓ Terrible.In the description, this game says to help “guide” your player to becoming #1. Well, that’s just it. You’re ONLY “guiding” them by making them do training (which is just clicking a button and waiting. There’s nothing on the court to see), and when you “battle” all you’re doing is waiting 5 seconds for the entire match to speed by and it tells you who won. You don’t even see the players on the court! It’s just the ball you see going back and fourth. Also, the only character you can have is a boy... C’mon now, what year is this? I came here excited and hoping to play some tennis strategies on my phone to maybe help my real life strategies on the court, but I got the exact opposite and more. Very disappointed. ✓ LameThis game has so much potential to be great but they’ve messed up the mechanics. Once you get to the top 500, tennis level seems to be irrelevant. You’ll lose in straight sets against an opponent whose tennis level will be anywhere between 5-15! Lower than you and you’ll still lose. I would expect this to happen once in a while, like a real life thing. But after 7 times in a row I deleted the game feeling I couldn’t beat their broken system. ✓ Incredibly frustrating gameCool game idea + interface - HOWEVER, the game simulation is one of the worst I’ve ever seen, it’s almost as if each match result is predetermined. A guy 5 levels lower than you will almost always have a close match against you, yet you never have a chance against a guy 5 levels above you. Tactics also really don’t matter, because even if you use a tactic and are maybe 15 levels higher, it has almost no effect. However, if your opponent uses a tactic that makes them maybe 1 level higher, all of the sudden they are able to easily beat you. The game also always shows a notification in the shop yet when you click on it half the time the game crashes and in the other half the notification remains - it’s only there to remind you to pay the game. I have no idea how this game has such strong reviews - it’s way too frustrating and unenjoyable. Don’t play it..Version: 2.59.1

✓ Lots of good ruined by match systemThis game has a lot of great aspects to it that I love, but the match system is absolutely garbage. It’s as if the game chooses when you’re allowed to win or lose and makes the ranking such that it’s exponentially harder to beat an opponent that is ranked slightly higher than you than it is for a much worse player to beat you. Consistently, I can be 10-20 points higher than my opponent and the opponent will get 2-3 breaks in a row on me, yet if I’m simply 1.8 points less than my opponent, I can get swept 6-0. I’ve lost matches where the entire match my player is ranked higher than the other by vast measures. It’s ridiculous, unrealistic, and infuriating. Almost impossible to win some tournaments if your ranking isn’t vastly greater than everyone else. Also, the “slow” speed of play speeds up as the game goes on, which makes it difficult to counter important points later on, which should be of utmost importance. If you are at a break point and use a strategy, it should have an effect on that point, not 2 games down the road. This shouldn’t be that hard..Version: 2.42.8
✓ The worst kind of p4pTake me at my worst: i have invested about $250 into this game + it still changes nothing of the trajectory so the idea that it’s pay for play isn’t even honest. this is a ponzi scheme. you can spend hours, diamonds, dollars + gold bars + your player will still only improved incrementally in ways that do not impact the match. you would think with the way momentum ebbs + flows, you see more rewards for being rated higher than your opponent but more often than not, you’re actually punished for rating 7-10 points ahead of your opponent + you can almost bet you’re going to three sets even when your ranking + rating are markedly different. none of these games are made with games in mind. the companies are greedy + prey on uber competitive people like me who work their behinds off to make extra money to spend on a game every six months or so only for it to go to waste when you realize it makes absolutely zero tangible difference. somebody said they didn’t start getting reasonable results until season 17. that should be enough for a rico case..Version: 2.60.2

Places higher than the opposition cannot win unless you use the ‘tactics’ which then are used up and you have to purchase the new packs to make sure you can carry on playing the game without losing too many ranking points!! Then, when you do get a reward at the end of the run you’re on in a tournament the tactics are beyond low in comparison to the level you’re playing at, suddenly an icon appears to buy missing tactics!!!! ✓ Bad money managementThe game has great ideas but it fails miserably in the money management. Once you get to certain point everything is exponentially expensive like coaches, doctors, trainings while it gives you little money per match, training session and winning achievements are not so often. Also you need to win matches quickly cause if you don’t have enough money in a couple of weeks you could lose your entire team. The only solution is pay-to-win and buy gold packs which is a shame cause the app has optional ads too. It reels you in & was clearly created by someone who understands tennis...BUT...once you get to around a 500 ranking, you are stalled for a long time without making a significant money investment or waiting weeks to progress. THIS IS SOMETHING I AM NOT WILLING TO DO WITH A GAME SATURATED WITH SMALL AD OPTIONS TOO. Also, it is very glitchy for iPhone. The screen freezes often and you have to exit and reboot. I have no problem with watching ads to continue fun progressive gameplay. I realize that developers need to make money. However, there are more ways to get money with an app than making me buy gold. It’s a great idea and concept but the game gets old quick. My only advice to the developers would be: 1) fix the glitches. 2) add females. 3) tone down the need to pay Money early in the game. 4)More larger prize ad options. 5) Money earned for winning tourney matches should be more “hitting partners” matches or staff should be cheaper to hire. 6)People may be more apt to spend money when they hit the top 50 not top 600. ✓ Game reliant on huge money spend for little resultPlayed this game for 5 weeks and spent $200 on gold bars and am still nowhere near good enough to compete with the top ranked players. App developers insistence you can reach number 1 by not purchasing add-ons is absolute nonsense and they’re fleecing you. Game play is great but the pokie machine-like draw to consistently spend money to get better is not, and you are chasing a carrot on a stick. I also noticed the number of gold bars needed to purchase certain things would fluctuate based on your current bankroll. Worst part is after my player reached 32 years old (and 78.5 skill level) I’m then told I can retire and start again and my training potential will be curbed if I continue with this player. The only difference being my new player will get the cash and gold bars (of which there is little given the constant need to train and pay coaches) I top ranked at 23 in the world & completed almost all of the gold bar challenges but never made it past a 3rd round of a grand slam. ✓ Love the conceptReally enjoy the game and the concept, however after reaching a ranking of 600 there seems to be a bit of a paywall. There is a massive jump in skill of opponent from contender to mtf-100 tournaments and to increase skill takes a lot of time. On top of this it is very difficult to progress up the rankings, my last 2 mtf-100 tournaments I made the semi-final yet lost ranking points (to me this doesn’t make sense) that essentially means I’m in the top 4 of that ranking bracket yet went down??? And so after making 2 semi’s I can no longer compete. So I had to enter a contender tournament, which I won, my reward... no ranking points. ✓ Fun, but has a few issues...Good concept and fairly well executed. Only 2 issues... 1. As your skills increase with training, winning the tournaments don't become any easier. For instance, when you start, your tennis level (skill) is approx 20. When you enter the "rookie" tournament, your competition is between 20-25. As I've increased my tennis level through training, and now I'm at 42, the "rookie" tournament is now full of people between 39-44. This should not happen. If I've increased my skill and chosen to play in an easier tournament and accepted that I won't make nearly as much money or XP points, then I should be able to dominate the field. Playing people at my skill level should come by entering bigger, harder tournaments with higher payouts. 2. Docs and psychologists cost was too much money in the game to achieve higher levels, or the tournament payouts aren't enough. Either way it's difficult to move past level 5 and I feel I'd give up on the game before achieving the higher pay grade staff. Something to tweak before you lose your players interest..Version: 2.28.6
✓ Good game, but a bit frustratingThis is a good game and I enjoy playing it, but the points system on the tour needs tweaking. For example, I won 15/23 MTF-100 tournaments one calendar year, but this still wasn’t enough to break into the top 300, so I could not play in better tournaments. I’m kind of stuck now because the next few tournaments coming up I won last year, so I can only lose points. ✓ Fun Game Bad SystemI’ve played this game a lot and i feel like i can put it best for anyone who’s looking to play. the game is built well and is fun but there a few things that need work: 1. It takes a very long time to get good. You can play multiple careers but one after another carrying on your cash. for me it took 4 careers to really be top 10 and then from there the rankings are wacky and you won’t get #1 unless you win everything. 2. MY BIGGEST CRITICISM of the game is it’s awful match system. the system predetermined who wins and favors your opponent. they may be way worse than you and can still beat you but when you play better players you will get smoked. tactics also don’t really help so don’t waste your money..Version: 2.49.1

✓ UnbalancedNow on my second career and strangely my players has maxed out at 90 again, yet the top players are 97 !! Not really sure how that’s fair, also bit unfair how you keep coming up against these same players in all top tournaments so even using tactics you can’t beat them, would be good if you had any chance of being no 1 in the world.Version: 2.55.1

✓ Good game however flawedThe game is not balanced. I try to train my player however cannot as my management contracts are beginning to expire which means I need to save my money. There’s no balance as I can’t afford to train my player unless I keep my management but I cannot afford to retain my management.
