First of all, there are ads popping up constantly, which is common in most apps and games, but this is just ridiculous. As well as the ads, offers and gifts come up constantly IF you watch a video. To top it off, the music doesn’t match the timing on which you have to tap; even with the line on it’s hard to play because the music isn’t in time. ✓ It’s a good game but...Dancing line was a good game when I started playing it. It still is now. But now there is way more adverts, making it not as fun. Also, you can now only unlock levels when you complete the previous ones, spoiling the ability to pick the level you want to do. You can’t turn on aeroplane mode to stop the adverts, because then you can’t play any level you haven’t unlocked. You can get rid of the adverts, but it costs real money. Also, sometimes I’m playing a level and the music isn’t playing or it’s very laggy. I end up failing because of that and then it instantly plays me an advert. But when the advert’s done, it just goes onto a black screen so I have to close the app, losing my progress on the level. And I have to watch another advert to get back into the level. ✓ Fun game ruinedThis game would be so fun and entertaining if it weren’t for all the ads that bombard your gameplay. It is so annoying having to watch ads that aren’t even interactive just to think you would get your reward when you get another ad instead. In addition, the fact that levels are so inaccessible is also terrible. Nearly all the levels are locked and it is extremely difficult to play them without having to spend your money on them. ✓ Most Frustrating GameDon’t get me wrong, I absolutely love the music and atmosphere. HOWEVER, this game is filled to the brim with ads. I get a long 60 sec ad every two lives I spend and half of the time, I don’t get a choice to close it, even when it has no value to me as the player. Another issue I’ve come across is the fact that in several of the levels, I don’t even have to hit the wall to die; if I barely touch it by a hair then I die (sometimes it wasn’t even that). My biggest complaint BY FAR is the fact that because the game is so overloaded with ads (with the addition of the high graphics), EVERY TIME I go through an ad, the game lags SO MUCH. This means that I can go through 3 or 4 lives before the game isn’t out of sync, glitching, or going through the moments where I’m hardly able to see my character because it’s being run off the screen by the auto-scrolling. And then to top it all off, the path to take is extremely unclear on many of the levels and takes about 7 lives just trying to figure out where to go (in some cases it’s ok, but it’s taken too far in several levels that shouldn’t be as hard as they are). I don’t get frustrated that easily, but this game is ridiculous. ✓ Used to be greatI downloaded this game two years ago. I have to say, it was an amazing game. When I started playing there were only about 8 or maybe 9 levels (Original levels, I now have to say). They all had a theme with their own song. Of course, there were ads, but it was acceptable. In a couple of months, I finished all levels. I used to wait for the updates to try the new levels. It was a challenge when the levels were hard and also when they were easy because I tried to run through them. And one day, they did this update. The new level was a song by some girl named Martha. I mean it is not the song from Martha that wasn’t good, it just wasn’t like the other original levels. “It is just one level”, I thought to myself. Looking at it from now, this was the beginning of the end. More and more levels with non-original songs were published. And then they changed the order. It was from the easiest to the hardest, and now it was... random, I guess. And more and, new levels with OK graphics and OK songs, other ways to hide some ads. And a fan made level, paid partnerships. It looked like it was now just about money. And today I see there is another level. Its ranking tells me it’s an easy one, even if I don’t trust the new ranking that much. I tried to do my usual run through when there is a new level. But at half through the level, It stops and tells me that I have to buy the rest of the level. How much? 5.49$CAD. I sincerely think it is pretty sad how that game turned out. I would be happy if you had to pay for the game, but they guarantee you no in app purchases. I honestly want to learn how to play some of the piano pieces they are that enjoyable. Where it falls short is the difficulty and cost. Some levels require so much incredibly difficult tapping you end up failing a lot of the time. Couple that with how arbitrary the failings are (i have honesty questioned how thin the margins are between when the line passes or hits an area so many times i have lost count) that frustration is very quick to follow. How difficult should a game be before the fun element is gone? Regarding cost the developers fully deserve £5 (to remove ads) for this game for what they have done right. ✓ Rather mixedI have rather mixed thoughts on this: On the one hand, it’s a nice idea; the music is very nice; I honestly don’t care about the graphics, and it’s rather funny seeing people say it was “ruined” by downgrading the graphics; and I like that you could, in theory, play blindfold. They creators are always making upgrades and the upgrades used to be decent but hen they started making you buy everything. I really couldn’t stop playing it. I had a break for about 3 months in May 2018 because I got stuck on the same level for a long time. There weren’t as many the first time I started playing. It got to the point where every time I failed, an Ad would come up. It is very annoying indeed. I’m still playing it but yesterday I found out that my sister payed to remove Ads but they still popped up at the same rate. They’re the same ads as well. ✓ The game “was” good, but now...I would like to say that I am an OG player. I played it when the Cathedral was the final level. Back when hearts weren’t in the game. That was the best. So now, y’all are becoming more modern, sure there are a few good levels, the remixes are amazing, but most of them are pretty bad, and lazily made at that. ✓ Outstanding to rubbish in only a few updates....This game used to be my absolute favourite until... -they made you watch an add every ten seconds -you can’t do a free trial and get 100% -you have to pay real money for levels, not the game currency -you can’t add more than 45 lives at a time, then you have to wait 24 hours to get more -they simplified the levels so then you end up not getting the satisfaction of completing a difficult one -sometimes it glitches in the middle of the game so you fail -there is a random ‘match’ section that just stays ‘coming soon’. It has been like that for at least 1 and a half YEARS!!!! I used to love this game, and competed with my friends to see who could complete the difficult levels first, and now none of us can unless doing annoying and frustrating challenges that take more than two weeks to do, and then they don’t even give you the reward for it. Ever since the sailors tale and all about us i feel that the game has been losing its charm. It would be nice to see buffed remixes for the original levels. The skins for the icons are neat but it would be nicer if there was another game mode. For maps I feel that it would be cool to have more nature or abstract maps. I think that the amount of adverts popping up after a death is alright (at least for me) and it can be solved by simply turning off your internet. However, a major problem I find when playing the game is the lag. Oh god, everybody hates lag. It’s terrible. But when playing I’ll be in the middle of tapping and suddenly it lags, causing the music to be delayed, in any case making me lose rhythm. This isn’t just at the beginning of the game, it could be at 80% and I’ll have to start over or use a cube to start at my last checkpoint (60%). This is very frustrating, I’m not even playing on an older model iPhone: I’m playing on an iPhone 7 with all my updates up to date. ✓ Fun and frustratingAhhhh! That’s all I want to do! This game is great! The designs are artistic, unique and awesome! The songs are definitely phenomenal. BUT, I have a few problems. First off, the calibration can be off sometimes, I have to use the guide to help me along the path so I can be in tune with the flow. Second, the reason I download the app was because of a demo advertisement. (Good job for reeling me in) The camera was fixed in one place, but in the actual game it’s not. You don’t know how many times I messed up due to bad camera angles. Sometimes I can’t see because the camera is too low at the ground and away from the scene, other times it’s all twisted. ✓ Not as good as advertisedI saw this game advertised on Facebook and thought I’d give it a go. I had great fun for an hour or so, the game was challenging and fun. However, once you get past the “advertised” levels, things start to get underhanded so that you start paying for in-game purchases. I wouldn’t mind if it was tasteful, but it’s not, it’s just cheap trickery. For example, the screen goes black near turns, the beat doesn’t necessarily match the board, or it’s just completely not obvious where you’re supposed to go or what you’re supposed to do to advance. ✓ Ruined the game.Back when I played, about 5 years ago, the game actually ran properly. Nowadays, the game lags and the music becomes un-synchronized making it impossible to play. As well as the game lags when scrolling through the maps. Not to mention the fact that now you have to either pay for all the maps, or watch adds for a “free trial” of an individual map which makes the game lag even more and the adds are brutally long and hard to skip. They try to trick you into downloading the advertisements by giving you a fake countdown for the x and when you press it, it sends you to the app link. Then when you close out of the add it gives you another countdown for the x which actually works. It takes about a minute between lives. And that’s another thing. Back when I played, you had 15 lives same as now, but now you have to watch an add just to use your next life. Not only just to respawn where you were, but you have to watch an add just to back out of the map to restart. This game has just become a huge money racket and I really don’t see why it has such a good rating. It’s challenging while still fun to play. However, there is one glaring flaw. And it’s gotten worse. When the game first released there was no limit on how many times you could die and retry. However, now there is a 15 death limit and after you’ve died 15 times you’ve got to wait 30 minutes for those lives to restore. This initially wasn’t a huge annoyance, because you could watch an ad and regain all 15 immediately, even adding more for each ad (I’d usually watch 20 ads and have hundreds of lives to play for hours without having to interrupt gameplay constantly with ads). This was UNTIL the latest update. Now, once you’ve viewed 2 ads, you can’t watch anymore for another 24 hours!!! That means that you’ve only got 45 lives and after that, unless you’re willing to spend real money or use rare, ingame currency, the game is unplayable!!! This is ridiculous!!!! I was happy to watch several ads knowing this would generate an income for the developers and allow me to keep playing for as long as I like, but now it’s as if the developers don’t want you to play their game! Also, it had changed the view multiple times and made it almost impossible to see where you were tapping and to see when to tap. Also I saw someone saying that £5 isn’t a lot of money to get rid of adds, but honestly it is! I could probably go to the shop and buy milk, bread and eggs with that! And probably a chocolate bar too! But your letting people waste their money on getting rid of adds? Like come on! Coming from a family with not much money I can tell you £5 can make a massive difference. Please don’t take this the wrong way, I love the game and the music a lot! ✓ Great game!Love this game. But, THE GLITCHES!!! I’m still having trouble with the levels glitching when I play. It’s not a smooth run on any level. The glitches happen right though the level, and now seem to be evenly spaced apart,(about every 2 seconds), and often happen at the moment I need to tap. This makes me crash. This has been happening for a while now, and continues to happen even after updating to this latest version, 2.5.3. This is very frustrating. This is the third time I’ve advised about this problem and it’s still not fixed. So now I’ve dropped the star rating for this game to 3 stars. Maybe you should spend more time fixing problems like glitches, rather than being so focused on bringing out new levels. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM!!! Thank you. ✓ The game is great but somethings aren’tI have had this game pretty much since it came out and it has changed so much. I love all of the new levels and I think the reviving aspect is great instead of just being 3 crowns. I don’t however like the fact that you have to watch ads to even revive at a crown as before you didn’t have to do that and it just seems they have put ads everywhere which I understand that it gives money as it’s a free game etc but the ads are a bit excessive and too much and I don’t know if this is just me but some of the ads have popped up while I’m playing and ended up killing me. Good game though just annoying with too many ads that make it more annoying when you die, every time you die, every single time you die there are ads and maybe it should be like every 10th death or something idk just please not every single death.
