OnPitch - Vocal Pitch Monitor for Positive User Reviews

I like this appIt’s very useful to tune in the Duduk.Version: 1.1.11

It's good but...The app is good but it needs to have a better smoothing filter to reduce noise. Also, it wouldn't hurt to include a configurable gain adjustment..Version: 1.1.11

Song RangeGreat for finding a good starting note especially for songs with a wide range. Can also use the app to practice singing intervals and staying on the same note...Version: 1.1.12

Pitch target easy to useReally easy to use but it would be totally awesome if it would offer and average pitch..Version: 1.1.10

Great app!As a singer, I love this app for checking intonation on the fly. I’ve had it for years, and it really helps me when trying to transcribe music I can’t find sheets for. If you have plans for future updates, it would be really cool to include an option to switch to flat equivalents and a record feature for more in depth analysis..Version: 1.1.12

Request featureEvery time you pause a thin vertical redline shows.Version: 1.1.8

Love the appWell I will say this I have another singing app to see your vocal range and I knew I had range from A1 to G7 but it’s not as accurate as this one my range is way way bigger then the first one I wrote it’s G#0’A0-B8 and even higher then that my highest note is C#9 so I love this app I have finally found out my true vocal range!!! One thing I would say is that would be cool to record while singing speaking all that good stuff and let you know if your using head voice falsetto so on so fourth but other then that love the app keep it up.Version: 1.1.11

Exactly what I was looking for. I’m learning to expand my bass range.Need to be consistent first. I can get pretty low apparently. Tell me if you can beat and E1.Version: 1.1.10

Fantastic!!I’ve used many of the free tuners for checking on my pitch, and have yet to find exactly what I needed until now. Perfect tool to add for your vocal exercises. Thanks; well worth the cost!!.Version: 1.1.8

Good general-purpose pitch appI’ve use this for vocal exercises and tuning my guitar - it’s simple and it works.Version: 1.1.9

Great appThis app works extremely well. It would be great if you could use it via the Apple watch as well, since it also has a mic built in..Version: 1.1.8

I NEEDED THISThis is something I needed all year. Thank you dudes!.Version: 1.1.12

Great for working on singingThis app offers great real time feedback on pitch. I haven't found anything close for improving pitch..Version: 1.1.12

Nice to have an app that shows you the notes as they are produced. If you’re trying to learn to read music or write music or just understand music this does help a lot. You can sing you play your recording sound you want and it will show you what the notes are learn great learning tool.Version: 1.1.12

Great tool for singing in my opinionLove this app it helps me learn notes, figure out my range and different registers and tells me if I’m on pitch. I’ve been able to gather a lot of useful data from this which has improved my singing immensely..Version: 1.1.10

Intuitive and minimalVery focused software. I use it in portrait mode with the orientation lock on, rotating my phone (to see it like a piano). It is a masterpiece if this is what you need..Version: 1.1.4

Works amazingly wellSometimes I’ll have a tune in my head and I want to play it later on an instrument. This app helps me with that. I’ll try to whistle the melody that I’m hearing in my head. If I do so accurately, I’ll then have a pretty good idea of what notes I’m hearing so I can later try to reproduce it on guitar. I find it easier than just recording myself and trying to reproduce the melody based on the recording..Version: 1.1.12

Just needs a couple things..Very useful app! works well and I would highly recommend it. It would be useful to tap a note and hear discrete pitches. (to hear the melody/interval and sing back without using multiple apps). nb. even just to have a reference pitch Overall very accurate and very useful..Version: 1.1.2

Great! But please add split view supportI use an iPad to read my music while singing and it would be amazing if I could have OnPitch displaying next to my music.Version: 1.1.11

WoW!Great app, but you must know how to use it properly..Version: 1.1.10

Voice checkupNice simple app to check your voice pitch..Version: 1.1.10

The Best Pitch RecognizerI have downloaded pretty much every app that recognizes pitch ant this is THE BEST!.Version: 1.1.11

Exactly what i wanted!!!!I was in desperate need of finding an app that detects and tells me what note i am singing, but i was hesitant to spend any money on it let alone $2.99, but I am so glad that I did because I love this app! It was 100 percent worth the few dollars and i do recommend this app..Version: 1.1.10

AmazingI’m horrible at identifying notes by ear, but I can hum out what I want perfectly. So this is the greatest tool for me. I don’t know what I would do without it..Version: 1.1.12

PerfectThis app is sooo great and perfectly priced! Most people would go off bugs but in my opinion the app is perfect and has none!.Version: 1.1.10

Just purchase it, just wish it had...A quick tone generator to use within the same app. I’m using it to learn perfect pitch..Version: 1.1.11

Does exactly what I needAmazing, simple and does one thing well. Never change!.Version: 1.1.12

Tweaks and not so sensitive to other noises like tv and other noisies close byI wishhhhhhhhhhhhhh.Version: 1.1.10

Great for trainingThis app is terrific. I spend some time most days on it trying to sing a scale or arpeggio and watch the line go up and down. Try to keep it steady and on the right note. One useful addition would be to have the grid be interactive. That is, you could scroll back into some previous notes and see the cents at that instant. Might be a big ask, I know..Version: 1.1.7

Worth itPeople complaining that the “mic is sensitive” um no duh? Use headphones then! And “Doesn’t work with vibrato”?? If you can’t figure out that the pitch is changing on your own with vibrato that’s on you. It’s not like the app gives u a bad score for not hitting the notes. Why is it bad that it detects vibrato?? It will still say your starting note! Anyway this app is very -useful to me and I use it every week. Sometimes I’ll hear a funny sound my dog makes and check the pitch of it or I use it when singing all the time. Definitely worth it to me and doesn’t try to make you pay more once you buy it or sign up to pay every month or anything. There’s no ads, never crashes, works well to me..Version: 1.1.11

Best pitching appIt’s not just one note at a time like the app I used to use..Version: 1.1.12

LOVE THIS APPAbsolutely perfect and simple. Exactly what I was looking for..Version: 1.1.10

I need helpIs the pitch the first note when you start singing or is it the last note when you stop singing?.Version: 1.1.10

Much needed appThis is a great app to practice with. The only thing missing is the ability to record your sound and play it back!.Version: 1.1.8

TunerThis is a tuner for your voice. I have one for my guitar, why not one for my voice? Simple, effective design and functionality. It’s a keeper for me..Version: 1.1.6

Amazing!! But why 4 stars?I love this app it works perfectly. But you might be wondering why I gave it 4 stars and not 5. Well I think that the price is a little too high. But other than that I LOVE it. And it really helps me..Version: 1.1.11

Well worth itNo setup, simple and intuitive. Excellent app.Version: 1.1.10

Pitch PerfectI’m using this for an unusual purpose. I have a synthesizer with hundreds of pitched percussion tones. I’m using it to map out the pitch of some of these tones. It even shows half tone rolls as a scrolling wiggly line and can follow the pitch of a cuíca. It works perfectly! Very happy with it..Version: 1.1.4

Great app for singers and musiciansThis app has been a game changer. I’m a professional musician and I use it constantly when practicing vocals just to fine tune and make sure I’m on pitch. Would definitely recommend!.Version: 1.1.9

Amazing! So simple and functionalI never leave reviews but I just had to with this one because I love how this app does one thing and does it so high quality. It’s rare these days to find an app that doesn’t bog you down with so many different functions/optionality, but I love that this app is so simple, it minimizes distractions in that way which is really helpful to making music. I love that it’s not trying to be a million things. And it’s so sensitive and exact. It’s helpful that it shows a continual line so you can raise and lower your pitch in real time to correct the note. I am obsessed now with figuring out the pitch of things and getting better at pitch myself. It’s more accurate than my uke tuner! Some people are saying that this app is discouraging because it shows that even some of the best singers sing off key, but I would just take that as evidence that it’s ok if you sing a tiny bit sharp or flat— it’s just a matter of how exact you want to be. You can be ok with the pink and blue lines if you’re ok with singing a microscopic amount off key!.Version: 1.1.12

Very helpful for ear training.I recommend this app very highly. Has helped me to improve my pitch… Both relative and absolute. Best in class!.Version: 1.1.8

Works greatQuickly shows me the notes I am singing so I can write them down..Version: 1.1.8

Try itThis app has surprisingly bad ratings which originally stopped me from trying it. I bought it recently and it works great, very useful and helped a lot more than I expected.Version: 1.1.10

Great appExcellent app, delivered everything it promised. Has helped my singing improve..Version: 1.1.8

Cool app!I’m a self trained vocalist, and i have a hard time figuring out what notes my melodies are made of, so I wanted an app that could tell me what I’m singing. This does that, although it is a little clunky. The screen moves a little too fast on mobile and you can’t zoom out. What would be really helpful is if it could transcribe all the notes you sang in order, maybe with a filter so any note shorter than 1/2 note or whatever you set doesnt get added to the list, so the passing notes and feedback dont get added. So you sing your melody and it gives you “D4 A5 C#3 F#” etc etc, whatever notes you sang minus the super short passing/feedback notes, maybe listed on a bar on the side or a drop down from the top or something. i know this might not be the purpose of the app, but a majority of vocalists online are self taught like me, and I think you could turn this into a more powerful and popular tool by adding a feature like this..Version: 1.1.10

The concept behind this app is greatI love how it shows you all the notes that were played, instead of just showing one at a time. It really helps me when I’m trying to come up with melodies..Version: 1.1.8

FantasticFirst app review I’ve ever written (and I’ve had this app for only one day). Put on the backing tracking, sing/scat along - see how you’re doing. Take away the backing track: can you maintain pitch? Simple and smooth-running app. Love it!.Version: 1.1.12
