✓ Quick & Efficient!I’ve been using this service for almost a year now. I recently moved to another state and had to contact PP to change my address and contact info. I sent a message via the app over the weekend and expected to not get a reply until the next business day. To my surprise, I got a response Saturday evening! The process was quick and painless. Even when the USPS delayed my package 6+ months ago (I never got that package), PP quickly sent another package right away. I highly recommend this app! 🖖🏾.Version: 2.236
✓ Super easy to useAfter using pill club for years they got bought out by Nurx and they are a nightmare to deal with and never respond. I was almost out of my birth control and needed it like next day so I downloaded the app and filled out the questionnaire. It’s really convenient to get the birth control pills prescription via Planned Parenthood app. And the clinician answered all the questions I had and always got back to me immediately! I also downloaded another app they recommended to remind me to take the pills and track my periods. It’s just awesome! So before I knew this app, I actually went to the Planned Parenthood for getting an appointment for the birth control. But unfortunately during this coronavirus pandemic, they said the appointment will need to be scheduled for one month later. So that’s why I knew I can just use this app to get the prescription! ✓ Incredibly helpful and convenient!I’ve been using this app for a little over two years now and have little to no complaints at all. It makes getting my birth control super easy and quick. They have many different resources available that provide important information about health concerns that one may have as well. And their customer support rapidly responds to messages you may have with questions. Victoria M. recently helped me out with an issue on the amount charged for my birth control and fixed it immediately. ✓ So simple and efficient!I have been on birth control for almost 10 years and my GP recently went into private practice so I stopped seeing her regularly as the fee was very expensive even with insurance. My prescription ran out and instead of paying a hefty amount for a quick visit at her private practice just to have a prescription written, I was directed to this app and wow! What a pleasant experience. ✓ Thank god for PP and this appFor several reasons I wasn't able to see my physician to renew my birth control rx and was on the verge of running out. I searched other options and discovered the PP app. It's been a total lifesaver and game changer. ✓ So far so good!This was my first time getting on birth control. But I had been wanting to. I didn’t know where to start and how much it would cost me. I was interested when I saw an ad for another company that offered the same service but I didn’t really feel comfortable with it until I saw that planned Parenthood also offered the service. I decided to go with planned parenthood. I paid for the three months ($75) on Monday morning, had the video call a few hours later, and received my pills on Thursday afternoon! ✓ Great Experience, Fast, Easy and Great StaffI had an in office check up at my local PP and my visit went amazing. The staff was so kind and knowledgeable. WAY more knowledgeable then any of my previous OBGYNs previously and they actually listened to my concerns I’ve been having for years and have given me viable options where I wasn’t getting help before. Ive been hunting for a birth control option that works for me and was given a few options but that’s better than the zero options I was given before. I got all of the paperwork I needed to get me started on doing some research about which option I wanted to pursue and when I was ready I downloaded this app, and requested the specific one that was right for me. And within 24 hours I had a prescription and didn’t have to make a follow up in person appointment. It was a really nice convenience. My new birth control will arrive in a couple days. I got a 3 month supply to test and make sure I’m happy with it, then I’ll Plan to purchase for a year. I love that you have the option to pre order in bulk like that. ✓ Very Pleased With This App!I was having an issue getting to my doctor & when I finally did there was an issue getting in touch with my insurance care provider so for a week I was in limbo without my birth control & starting to freak out! I literally pulled over my car and googled “birth control online” and came across an AD for this app & I couldn’t be happier that I downloaded it! ✓ I’ve used 2 apps for birth control now. Props PPAs said, I’ve used two apps now, NURX and Planned Parenthood Direct. I loved the former, don’t get me wrong, but they started getting backed up in recent months, and when I moved to a new state, they couldn’t help me anymore. That’s when I learned about PPD, and they do so much more than my previous, even just through the app. Not only is it a wonderful service for women everywhere, but it just became substantially more convenient and you don’t have to go to a physical location for some of the more basic services if that’s important to you. Admittedly, PPD was more expensive to order, but I’m happy to give them a few extra dollars more to help them continue helping women all around. AND THEY WEREN'T BACKED UP! ✓ Helps within 24 hours!I had an issue with the nurse that was supposed to send me my pills canceling 2 of my new orders, simply because she didn’t want to write any new prescriptions. That was literally her only explanation. Thankfully, PP stepped in within 24 hours of me emailing and messaging them for help, and I received my pills in 5 days. However, I’m giving it 4 stars because I don’t like that I’m forced to leave my debit card information saved in the app for refills. Any hacker will tell you that is not safe at all! ✓ Very easy to use and trust worthy!Before downloading the app I had already planned to set up an in person appointment. Once I called them the lady I talked to recommended downloading the app since their location was far from me. It’s super easy especially if you just need birth control. All you have to do is download the app do an online doctors visit, they’ll ask you a few questions that they’d ask you in person. You pay $15 for that doctors visit and within a matter of one day your prescription will be approved and processed to any pharmacy you want. ✓ Great place for birth control for my daughterI needed contraception for my daughter. We looked at different places to take her and found planned parenthood. I couldn’t believe how easy it was! You just need a student id or driver’s license and insurance card or you can pay cash. They are shipping it right to our door.I feel much better knowing she’s protected from unwanted pregnancy and she can talk to me about these things. I was a teen mom and I wish these places existed when I was young. It’s a great resource for teens who need a place to turn. It’s also nice she didn’t have to have an actual pelvic exam. ✓ Use GoodRx and Pick-up in Pharmacy for $25 Birth ControlI’m a travel physical therapist and have always ran into the issue of changing healthcare providers and pharmacies every 3 months along with having unstable insurance between assignments. I’m currently between assignments and was out of refills on my birth control. I figured I would have to schedule an appointment and end up paying out of pocket for both my appointment and birth control. When I went to schedule an appointment on the Planned Parenthood website I discovered this app. Within 5 days I picked up the exact same prescription I’d been using at a pharmacy in a city I was passing through. ✓ Super helpfulI was having the hardest time getting a new prescription for my birth control because I lost my health insurance and couldn’t afford to see an OBGYN. I tried other places like heyfavor (the pill club) and K health and goodrx. None of which would help me or were just too expensive. I was so upset and frustrated thinking I wouldn’t be able to get my birth control but my friend suggested I try planned parenthood. ✓ Fast, easy, and incredibly helpful!I never write app reviews, but I had such a fantastic experience with the PP Direct app today that I figured leaving a review was the least I could do! I’m moving and therefore currently between doctors, and couldn’t figure out a way to get a birth control refill without having to go through the hassle of doing an intake appointment with a doctor I’ll probably never see again. A friend suggested PP, and when I went to their website, I read about the app. Figured it couldn’t possibly be that easy, but decided to give it a try... and I’m so glad I did! Filled out the questions, snapped a photo of my driver’s license, requested the specific pill I’ve been on for years, and designated the pharmacy down the street from me as my pickup location. Within a few hours I had a notification saying the prescription had been approved and sent to the pharmacy; I was charged a total of $25 (for the doctor to review my case and write the prescription; the pills themselves were free, though I know this varies by state). Way faster, easier, and more convenient than any doctors appointment, and I still felt confident that I was receiving quality medical care - the questionnaire was thorough enough to catch any contraindications for the prescription, and they offered lots of educational materials as well. The app is also designed very well and is super easy to use. I have insurance for the birth control itself, but I do know that the service was affordable and they offer very affordable birth control options if you don’t have insurance. Also while they offer mail delivered scripts, you don’t Have to get them mailed, which I really appreciate since I personally prefer getting my scripts from the pharmacy due to my apartments mail system not being the greatest. ✓ Efficient and InformativeI’m just so impressed. I didn’t have insurance but needed birth control. I was able to chat with a doctor who evaluated my needs and answered all my questions. After the first brand gave me some side effects, I booked another chat and was pleasantly surprised to see that the same doctor stays with you. ✓ Feature request to help trans patientsThis app is fantastic & came in handy when I had a UTI that I needed treated quickly. The only complaint I have is this: There is a section in the app for sex assigned at birth, and there is an option for gender, but there is no third option to input legal sex. I’m a trans man, so I was assigned female at birth, which I noted in the app, and I also input my gender as FTM. However, my legal sex has been changed to male. Having no option to input legal sex for trans patients can cause issues with prescriptions, medical records, and insurance. It seems the app is assuming assigned sex at birth will match legal sex. This is frequently not the case when it comes to trans people like myself. It would be very helpful if there were also a third field for selecting legal sex..Version: 2.355
✓ Highly recommend this app!I had run out of refills of my birth control and needed a new prescription so I decided to give Planned Parenthood Direct a try and am glad I did!. Being on Medicaid, it can be hard to find a doctor to accept it but thankfully Planned Parenthood accepts Medicaid in my state. Some states require a telehealth visit but mine does not. All I did was answered a few questions, filled out my payment info and submitted my request. I had submitted mine around the Holidays so it took them a couple days to get back to me but the provider I had was very professional and prescribed the birth control I requested. I now have a whole years worth of refills thanks to Planned Parenthood Direct and I will continue to use them in the future when I need more refills. Also I did have issues getting the app to work when I was connected to wi-fi. However when I disconnected from wi-fi it ended up loading/working just fine. ✓ Easy, Simple, and FastI don’t have an OB/GYN after switching insurance companies, and I was advised by friend that Planned Parenthood could help you get three months of birth control. The complete lockdown in California made it not convenient to try and find a new doctor. I searched the website on Planned Parenthood where they said I could download the app and have a provider prescribe me the birth control. I downloaded the app set up an account and request the birth control and brand I wanted. The next day I was contacted by a provider and and prescription was sent to my pharmacy of choice. ✓ Iv never been so grateful for an appI was in pain at work and needed relief fast. This app not only gave that to me but also let me avoid the awkward doctors visit and saved so much time. Within 10 minutes of submitting my symptoms, a provider responded and sent my prescription to the pharmacy. ✓ A Life SaverI work 8:30-5 Monday to Friday, so getting to the doctor is difficult. I called my doctor earlier today to ask what medications they’d recommend over the counter for a UTI. Not only was the receptionist extremely rude, but no one there had time to answer my questions or even just call me back! ✓ Awesome App!I started having symptoms of a UTI and that night I couldn’t sleep because of the pain and urge to go to the bathroom. I saw a review for this app on Reddit and figured I try it. It was 11pm at night when I realized that I had a UTI my only option at this time was to wait all night to call my doctor in the morning. However I tried this app and I’m SO happy I did. I sent in my request at 11pm and the following morning at 11am I had a response from the doctor saying she called in a prescription for me at my local pharmacy. This saved me money and time. I hope I don’t have to use this app again (because a UTI is not fun) but if I had to I would absolutely use it again. Also, my doctor Paula, was very accommodating. She first prescribed me a capsule but I told her I have trouble swallowing those kind of pills so she called the pharmacy and changed my prescription to a tablet. But the woman on the phone suggested I check this app to see if it can help. I downloaded it, filled out my information, and within 12 hours I had a message from a doctor and a prescription for antibiotics ready at the pharmacy, paid about $20 for talking to the doctor on the app and only $5 for the antibiotics. ✓ I highly recommend this appIve been getting my birth control from Planned Parenthood for about 3 years now and each time around November/December I have to go in for an appointment to renew my pills for a years worth I get really bad anxiety because I never know if ill be able to get someone to drive me since I’ve never gotten my license and because i dont have insurance and am now too old for the program they offer im also worried about the price of my prescription. Woke up at 5 am and immediately recognized the sensation of an oncoming UTI. To my dismay, all of the PP locations nearby are booked up—both in person and teleconference appts aren’t available until next week. However, using this app is actually the first time that I have personally used its services and now I feel even more passionate about supporting this amazing organization. I’ve been on birth control that was prescribed by my primary care for about a year. The birth control has worked great for a large amount of my needs, however it is very expensive even after my insurance. Turns out my insurance covers little to no amount for “non necessary birth control”. Because of Planned Parenthood, I am able to pay the same amount for 6 months of birth control as I was paying for just one previously, all without the hassle of going to the pharmacy and dealing with appointments. I was a bit nervous because being in Utah meant that I had to have a video chat with a physician after filling out the in app survey but the physician who helped me choose what was the best option was kind and made me feel very comfortable. I ended up choosing Nurx because it was cheaper but I quickly found out why. I had such a terrible experience with Nurx. About an hour later I was messaged by a doctor through the app addressing my questions about the BC I selected and received tracking information letting me know when I would get my order. I used to have to jump through hoops to get birth control because my insurance was tied to my school with a religious affiliation, and they would not prescribe birth control for contraceptive purposes. It was all so ridiculous. ✓ Worked PerfectlyI’m very impressed by the Planned Parenthood app. I’ve never used birth control before, and was intimidated by the prospect of having to deal with a doctor’s office and waiting periods, etc. to get a prescription. This app bypasses all of that. You can get birth control by answering a few questions. A clinician immediately started reviewing my answers, asked me a few follow up questions, and quickly matched me with the best birth control pill for me. More than a year’s worth of my pills were shipped to my house within a few days. The entire experience was so much more convenient than I had ever expected. Those complaining that Planned Parenthood doesn’t cover their state or region should take that up with your state representatives. The politicians putting red tape on your reproductive organs are the reason you can’t get coverage, not Planned Parenthood. They aren’t denying you coverage out of spite, they’re limited by legal restrictions and medical coverage in your region. Time to talk to your regional political leaders, not leave bad reviews on an app for an organization that is trying to help you. ✓ So Quick and HelpfulI’m currently out of state, my OBGYN is 2,000+ miles away, and the nearest Planned Parenthood is two hours away. It was my first time experiencing my particular set of symptoms, and I was really nervous and felt stuck. I’d heard of this app and decided to give it a spin - I was picking up antibiotics at a pharmacy nearby within an hour. The app was so clear and my clinician, Jessica, was very nice and helpful. It only cost $25 on the app for the ‘visit,’ and I felt as valued and taken care of as I would have felt with a doctor sitting right in front of me. I’d absolutely recommend this to anyone. The app froze a couple of times, and the messages from my clinician were in another menu called ‘order history’ - if there were another category created only for the messages, that would be a bit better.
