✓ Great app but just a little something missing...Can you please update this app with a comment section?? Iv often watched these videos and always find myself asking myself questions! I’m basically a pure amateur, have lived on my own for 4 years now and have only recently started to make my own stuff from scratch.. Iv got so bored of eating frozen pizza and tins of soup and spaghetti.. also a break down if the nutrients per serving would also be a good idea to add and make the app better.. although the recipes are quick and easy to follow a comments section wer you can get answers would be really helpful.. I was always aware when I was being taught something that it was important to ask questions if you’re unsure so considering this is a tutoring app as such I feel this app is crying out for such a feature..Version: 1.8

Dear developers, could you make it so you can log in as something else other than Facebook or just be able to save things without having to log in? ✓ Needs significant improvement...I used to LOVE watching these videos. I like experimenting in the kitchen and this app makes it easy to look up recipes for which you might have most or all of the ingredients. Plus they are extremely easy to follow and by all accounts SEEM like legitimate, delicious recipes... However...I’ve never actually had any SUCCESS with these recipes. Not a one! I follow the directions to a T, however the results are without exception BLAND and DISAPPOINTING. I’m inclined to believe they’d be worthwhile after being altered, given how many people use and try these recipes. I’ve learned from other recipe apps and blogs that the key to success for the average chef is READING THE COMMENTS. Advice from others about how they altered recipes and the techniques they used is SO IMPORTANT. Food is rooted in culture and community! Until that is added to this app, I’m afraid I won’t be chancing any more of these recipes in my kitchen, and I’ll advise anyone who asks to do the same..Version: 1.10
✓ It could be betterThis app is really good for people who like making deserts but when it comes to dinner there aren’t much options or a variety of options that there is for the desserts and I know this is more of a sweet sort of food app but if you’re going to include dinners then either increase the range of different types of meals or don’t include dinners at all so if your looking for an app to help you find ideas for dinners then I would find another app (sorry to be such a pain but I kinda needed to tell people that were here because they thought they were getting dinner ideas or something like that).Version: 2.90

✓ Missing pieces to the puzzleThisislexi2 had a great review. These recipes lack a lot of essential instructions. For example: chicken spanakopita pie, you Must drain thawed frozen spinach and pat dry between like half a roll of paper towels or else your recipe will be soupy. I know this from experience but someone else may have no clue. Also, the ingredients list is Missing ingredients from the video (tomato, purple onion, Klamata olives) so if you export the list to your grocery list it will be missing essential ingredients. First video I’ve watched on the app and not off to a great start here. To end on a positive note, I enjoy these videos because they make great dishes look quick and easy. I don’t always have the time to watch a 15-30 minute episode on food network, and I Loathe food bloggers that use recipes as a platform to tell the world their life story. That being said, to compensate for short videos you must make up for it in written instructions. Also, congratulations on Finally incorporating hands with darker skin tones in your videos! Spinach and artichoke 4 ways is the first one I’ve seen like that which shined a light on the previous lack of diversity in your videos..Version: 1.10
✓ Invest more in the app!First of all, the music has no OFF button which is quite annoying. Second, I think you have the money and resources to make an even greater app and add more features (for example you can make an “allergens” questionnaire and develop software that would detect words like “lactose” or “nuts” and immediately remove recipes containing that ingredient). Your app hasn’t really evolved since the beginning and it is not user friendly. You focus so much on releasing new kitchenware in Walmart and so little on improving the app..Version: 2.8
✓ Deleting - selling personal data out of handJust used the app I’ve had installed for years - it asked me to log in again, and consent to cookies and personal data being shared. I am usually able to simply decline on most apps with a few clicks but on tasty there are literally thousands of toggles to switch off and subcategories to check through to ensure your data isn’t used where you haven’t consented. In the ‘partners’ section there isn’t an option to object all, so you have to do it one by one and there are hundreds if not thousands in there. In addition to that, some of them that I toggled off would then be back on again after I scrolled down and back again, and some don’t have a toggle at all thereby not allowing me to decline. ✓ Why do i have to keep signing into this app?I log in to the app - it works fine for a while before it randomly logs me out one day and then when i go to log back in ALL MY RECIPES THAT I SAVED ARE GONE!!!! This has happened twice now and its so frustrating!!!! deleting the app because losing weeks of saved recipes defeats the purpose 🤷♀️ if an app is on my phone i should be able to just sign in once and then stay logged in..Version: 2.36.2
✓ What’s the point?Unless you’re willing to give Tasty access via your Apple ID (Email address linked to my phone, Apple Pay etc? F- no) Facebook (don’t use that) or phone number (so you can sell my personal number? Hell no) I created a junk email address purely for stuff like this - because junk mail always follows, why else do you think they want an authenticated form of contact?? Any company who demands authenticated contact info (which Apple ID, and FB allow access to) who can’t justify the use (this is a recipes app, not financial or confidential!) should be avoided. Email addresses linked to things like Apple ID (and therefore Apple Pay) are better targets. So, if you’re not willing to risk your personal data, you can’t even bookmark recipes. Which makes the app pointless as the recipes are all over the web..Version: 2.43

✓ Good recipes but hate the adsI’ve never written a review before because frankly I often don’t think app developers care much, but the Tasty app was great before the ads. I understand they have to make money somehow, but the ads not loading interrupts the video experience and is just generally really intrusive. I would vastly prefer if they used banner ads or a different style that didn’t interfere with the functioning of the app. That being said, until this, I have thought the app was very user friendly and all of the other updates have been improvements. Plus the recipes are consistently yummy and very easy for people who might not be the most comfortable in the kitchen (like yours truly). Tl;dr Great recipes, improvements have been made to the app but the ads really interfere with user experience in a significant way.Version: 2.7
✓ AllergiesGreat app, great recipes, just hate how there’s a switch to hide recipes containing meat for people that choose to be vegetarian but no switch to hide recipes that include ingredients such as nuts, dairy, gluten, etc. for those that are allergic. If a vegetarian eats meat there’s no chance for them to go into a cardiac arrest (unless they’re a mega drama queen), but if thousands of people are allergic to certain foods don’t you think that that is more important to control than someone’s lifestyle decision?.Version: 1.18

✓ Needs better filtering and allow removal of certain dishes like desertsAll you need is a little side menu categorizing dishes and keep what you have currently as the opening screen with the allowance of removing certain dishes (Mexican, pork or chicken, or deserts). If this allowed filtering and had a side menu option 5 stars. You have something big here but it's not there yet. I can't give you even 4 stars just for throwing everything you have in an app. Reddit did that for me. You need to take it a step further and allow a form of cataloging outside of favorites and allow this to be filtered even in a small sense. I hope you get what I'm saying here because when it changes I'll come give this a 5 star. And DEFINITELY allow a comment section, it's unfortunate but you make mistakes in some of your videos with the process of how you cook things and there are more talented people who will help make your app better. It will require constant monitoring but that's the price of success..Version: 1.3

✓ Too many ads, redirects and flawed videosI recently found this and I loved this app but the overkill addition of endless ads is just too much. They seem to be building momentum to the point I am about to delete the app. I don’t have time to watch a 1 min ad every recipe I look at nor do I have the desire to sort through banner ads trying to see what recipes are available. The search engine definitely needs some help because unless you know the exact wording used in the title, finding a recipe that fits what you are searching for can yield little or poor results (i.e., veg, veggie, vegetable. These are NOT pulled up together. What a waste of time). So what was a WOW app has become a MEH app. Bummer. Oh and one last addition, WARNING‼️‼️ be careful about the links that send you outside the app (like those in the guide section), it runs you through countless redirects, NO THANKS! These always reek of tech issues waiting to happen 😖! And lastly what is up with the messed up videos?! Doesn’t anybody test these? 15 second loop of someone putting onions in a pot of stock, that’s it, the end. Or 10 seconds of chopping veggies over and over. 👎.Version: 2.13
✓ Great app, still needs work with contentI’d really like to give this app 5 stars but two pretty major things that knock off a star apiece. First off, I really do love the format, the app itself works well and is pretty stable. The videos are generally pretty solid in showing recipes from start to finish in an informative manner. The first issue is showing the same recipes over & over again. Sometimes the exact same recipe in several different categories. It’s bad enough for me to knock off a whole star. The second star off is grouped videos, x thing x different ways, and the like. Not terrible itself, but individual recipe pages usually only have a link to the group video, so I have to go through 4 other ways to make x that I’m not interested in to get to the one I am. Even worse if I want to make it and need to rewatch it. Can just as easily have single videos on the recipe page and link to the group page for those that are interested..Version: 2.1
✓ Tasty reviewFirst of all, I think Tasty is a cool app. I love their recipes and deserts. Sometimes, I like to watch their baking videos just for fun. Another thing about Tasty is that they have a tips section at the bottom of each recipe. That’s where people write down their tips on how to bake/cook the recipes. HOWEVER, the thing is that TASTY DELETES PEOPLES COMMENTS! That made me really mad. At first, some people were saying in the tips section that Tasty deletes their comments and I didn’t believe them cuz I never saw it happen before. But yesterday lots of people wrote something bad about Tasty and today I checked the tips section again and their comments weren’t there. So now I know that tasty ACTUALLY DELETES PEOPLES COMMENTS! I’m seriously not lying. I would’ve given tasty a five star review but I only gave you a three star review because I’m mad at Tasty. Tasty is a good app but I don’t like how they remove peoples comments about them and leave only the good ones so that it would seem like Tasty is a good app.👎🏻😤Also, if you download Tasty and see that there are no complaints about people having their comments deleted it’s because Tasty probably deleted them.（So typical) 😪😒IF YOU DONT BELEIVE ME TRY IT YOURSELF!! If you say something horrible about tasty, tasty is probably going to delete it a day or two later. I wish I could give you proof but I can’t because I can’t post a picture here. ✓ Was 5 starsI love tasty, the recipes are fun and delicious! But I don’t use it all the time so I have to constantly sign in or I can’t see my cookbooks or liked recipes. So I signed in just today but it won’t allow me to like recipes and my cookbooks won’t show up. It says there is something wrong with my internet connection which I reloaded and everything. ✓ …do people still work here?Don’t get me wrong; I love a lot of the older recipes, and it gave me a lot of new creative ideas. Lately, less recipes have come out. Hey, that happens; we hit slumps in growth, etc. A lot of newer recipes come out straight from TikTok though. Okay, I like TikTok recipes, but the reason Tasty was good was it broke down each step with visual ingredients and let you know what you were looking for at each step. Here’s where you definitely see the breakdown: I just looked at a “guide,” and *maybe* half of the recipes had titles as to what they were? The first one told you to shred chicken halfway through, even though chicken wasn’t included in the ingredient list. The pictures of every other one looked like someone vomited it out with “social media reviews” of it “looking so cute.” One recipe was literally “cut bread into circles; put ham and cheese on bread.” Wow! Glad someone put this as an actual recipe.Version: 3.05
✓ Would be 5 star if it weren’t for this issueI love this app. You can filter recipes to find what suits you and it shows other people’s opinions on the recipes and if they would make it again . My main issue - When u like a recipe , it goes to your cookbook which is great, however over time I find that my recipes that I have liked have gone from my cookbook and even when I search them back up , it shows as if I haven’t liked them. This is really frustrating as sometimes I try to find those recipes on my cookbook to find them gone . Please fix this as I really do love this app and enjoy using it ..Version: 2.17.1
✓ Very disappointedTasty used to be my favorite cooking apps (if not my most used apps in general). Not only were the recipes good, but I loved the videos that would actually show you what the process of cooking your meal would look like. I especially loved the Tasty 101 videos that were made by lots of different trials and errors to make a “perfect” version of a dish we all love (cake, cinnamon rolls, pumpkin pie, etc). The videos were my absolute favorite part of tasty and now they are either gone or have been replaced by horribly cut tik tok videos that don’t highlight the art of cooking so much as zoom (literal zoom) in on the stages on cooking with faster than ever cuts that makes me feel like I am experiencing whiplash within a cooking tutorial. I learned SO MUCH from watching your videos. I could not make half the new recipes I try from different sources without the amazing videos you all made that would show me what each part of the process would look like (how think is my sauce, what does reducing the liquid look like, what does just mixed look like, etc…). It’s disappointing to me that the app has changed to gratify a 1 minute attention span crowd instead of what were almost cooking tutorial videos. ✓ Loved it but glitchesReally love this app as it has really varied and delicious recipes. Unfortunately, it signs you out after a period of inactivity and even after re-entering my phone number that I used to create my account with it appears to have deleted all of my recipes that I spent ages saving. ✓ Great app for cookingI’ve had this app for over a year now and I think this is great for anyone who loves cooking; the step by step videos are one of the fastest methods I’ve come across since it allows you to see what the dish should look like at each stage and you can rewind or just wait for the video to loop, this is great when you are making a recipe for the first time. This was a go-to app when we decide what to cook for dinner. I say ‘was’ because the reason I’m writing this review today and only giving it 3 stars is while browsing to plan dinners for the week, suddenly there are ads popping up between videos where before there weren’t. C’mon Tasty I thought you were better than that. I understand that income is necessary but I was hoping you were getting the bulk of it from your cookware and book line as well as from your association with Buzzfeed. Now my cooking experience is interrupted by someone trying to sell me an electric toothbrush or apply for a credit card. I’m not saying I’m never going to use the app again, but I will think twice before I do and will more than likely break out our trusty cookbook instead..Version: 2.8

✓ Mouth watering recipes that fail each timeEvery single time I try one of the recipes, it either doesn’t cook all the way, tastes terrible or burns. I would consider myself a good chef as I like the cook all my meals so I don’t think the problem comes from me. A lot of those recipes needs updates and comment from the public would definitely helps that. Also, very few of those recipes are healthy, the amount of sugars in them is astonishing. Also would be nice to have a tab to categorise your favourite recipes. Tasty, some work needs to be done..Version: 1.12
✓ Tasty deleted my info !!I’ve been a big fan of Tasty for years. But after an app update, it has deleted all my saved recipes. This is the second time this is happened, and the app, for some reason will not allow me to log into my old account that I had. Very upsetting as I had so many recipe saved and now I have to start all over. I’m not sure if it’s worth my time to do that now..Version: 2.97
