✓ AVG Secure VPNI have used AVG products both in the workplace and privately and these have always kept me updated and secure. The VPN is the most temperamental of the range and there are small issues that need to be put to bed. The VPN can cause issues with email. From time to time I get s message telling me that my password is incorrect. If I turn off the VPN temporarily - the mail works perfectly. This seems to happen most often when working on either an iPhone or an iPad. The other issue I have noticed recently is despite being set to come on when the PC starts up - this sometimes fail to happen. I get round this by having a VPN icon on my taskbar and automatically run it to see if has loaded. I reported this earlier and have had upgrades since then, I also deleted the application from all my hardware on AVG’s advice and then reloaded it. It would be good to get these issues sorted. B. ✓ Good value for moneyThis app is good value for money. The only issue is some apps won’t let you use them because it thinks you are in a different country even though you have selected a uk server. For example I have selected a uk connection but Disney plus doesn’t work. It says there is an error. Turn off the VPN error fixed..Version: 2.0.2

✓ Own, but asking me to pay?I really like all inclusive AVG and have subscribed for a second year. However when opening this app, it’s asking me for payment when I own it already. When I use just the security app with the vpn in it, all is fine. Do I really need this particular app on my phone? I also notice my phone and camera acting glitchy since renewing, which makes me feel very uncomfortable. Things such as weird stuff going on when editing photos and other non camera related aspects. Also received a strange email from google stating that changing my vpn country has changed my rights. Huh? Excuse me?? There goes google tracking us again. Enough is enough! Has to stop. It’s my privacy not google’s or the government’s right to sell my private data and making beaucoup bucks at the expense of my safety and information. It’s our information and if anyone should make money on our data, it’s us, the citizens, not alpha corporations! All countries should have the option of “opting in”, not “opting out” of data theft. So your IP address isn’t hidden when you think it is because it disconnected from the server in the background. At least VPN on pc stops what you are doing until the VPN reconnects. I have been victim of cybercrimes in the previous years like many other fellow americans and canadians. My father always used avg anti virus as far as I remember being a kid playing on dad’s computer, now I’m 35. That is why I subscribed to avg vpn being and obvious complement to avg anti virus. The vnp is fairly simple to use : vpn settings are accessible from the avg software menu. From there, you can customize your preferences. There is also a mobile app on iOS which let you benefit from your vpn wherever you use your mobile phone. This feature adds a lot of value. However, activating the vpn does immediatly impact my internet speed. It slows down opening a simple email to shuffling through web pages. I turned it off at times when I needed instant speed to complete work related tasks from home. Overall, the avg vpn is a good vpn because it is simple to use, a nice complement if you already own another avg software and it is compatible with your mobile phone even though I would be tempted to try out s competitor.
