✓ Not bad.This is a genuinely fun game, interesting game play and light atmosphere. The reason I only give 2 stars is the unfortunate and obvious rigging of dice rolled for loot. I need 3-6 and I can't roll below 10, I need 9-12 and can't get higher than 6. Also some player tips as to what each spell dice does would be nice..City on a hillVersion: 1.0.8

✓ Fun in theory, bad in practiceThere's a really fun game in here. Unfortunately it's buried under a layer of grievances and annoyances. First and most apparent: There's no options menu. It would be a nice game to play with a podcast in the background, but there's no option to mute the game. Second, navigating the map can be tricky. It's very sensitive and can lead to missing an enemy or chest because you were just trying to scroll the screen. The last issue I have is was pushed it over the edge for me. The battles have several effects that cause the screen to flash. I've never had issues with photosensitivity, but playing the game for 10 minutes gave me a bad headache. I'd be happy to play this game, and it does seem to be a labour of love, but unless these issues are addressed, I don't think I can. UPDATE: The developers have said they will update the game. ✓ Fun But BuggyIt is a very simple but fun game. I like the pixelated graphics. What I don’t like is that there is really no clear explanation where there should be. For example, there needs to be an explanation for each item in the Shop. In the Shop, you can buy boosts. However nothing says if the boost is temporary, permanent, or how long it lasts for. ✓ Great premium system, fun gameplay, too many white flashes,The premium currency, gems, are handed out to the player as a part of the gameplay cycle and are easily earned over time. The loot crates can feel very unfair at times and are easily the biggest gem sink in the game. The spells can be reiterated to move double damage to nat 20's, but otherwise need small number adjustments. The health restore that can happen after fights are not calculated correctly as opposed to shop restores. Much more detail needs to be included about spells and monster types like their values and spell books for each monster. There are white flashes that occur upon every single game event which can be every second is extremely nauseating and headache inducing over time. They really have no purpose. Edit: Don't ever reroll for loot crates, it is just not worth it. Edit 2: The health after battles seem to be very small boosts that still don't scale correctly with total health. It would probably be one of my favorite mobile games had you just made it more similar to the original dice mage games, we miss making spell decks with elemental effects, crazy creatures, etc. That and a guild/world system. ✓ FAKE RNG for money stealsTo start with this game lacks certain core features. Such as controls for music/sfx volume. This ain't such a big deal but the gameplay is not what it seems. The AI have predetermined patterns. I wrote down the patterns for the AI as they were rolled and it appears that the difficulty increases by changing the rolls the AI will get. This pattern correlates to their use of powers dice which seem to be everlasting for bosses. For example. The regular AI will not role below a 2 from areas 3 and up. And if they do roll a two they will commonly roll another two with the attack up power on both (everytime). Another example is rolling a 2 and a 3. The two will always have an attack stat power applied to that die. Furthermore this gets increased when the AI boss' "rolls". Now this would be fine if they same went for he player but it doesn't. There seems to be a pattern (not as clear cut at the AI) that the players roll follows. It basically seems to be designed to stop the player advancing quickly and relying on gear to increase their "chances". This is clearly to just frustrate someone into buying their micro transactions or a lazy way of implementing difficulty which subsequently leads to micro transactions. In saying this the game is not a bad idea. Despite its flaws. But If you don't want to spend money and just want to play. This isn't the game for you. You'll get to about area 3/4 before you see what I'm talking about.WhoAreYou94Version: 1.0.6

✓ Too bad this app doesn't age well.First off, it is VERY unfortunate that this app doesn't have a turbo option. I could easily play at 3x the speed but can't due to how incredibly slow the animations are. This leads to 20minute runs that could be 5 minutes. Sadly i get bored of the game because it can't keep up with my level of play. Secondly, and most importantly, this game RIGS the dice rolls!!!! I don't care that much, because it still is beatable and they'll never get a cent from me, but yeah. I imputted over 20 runs and 1500 dice rolls in a 30-day period(because that type of thing is fun for me) and I documented the average player dice roll results to be 14% lower than total law of probability dictates. Monster range from 5%-13% in thier favor. So it is common to have roles with imablances of 20%-30%. I get it. They gotta make it hard somehow. Still though with real life money being used to "reroll" dice, this kinda practice should be illegal. Odds are they aren't going to fix a game they haven't updated in 2 years. But I hope somone reads this and even if it doesn't stop you from playing it, it stops you from giving this sham and money..Jacob flahertyVersion: 1.1

✓ Okay game but very annoyingThe dice is rigged. I can understand game should have some advantages but this game cheats to the point of obnoxiously annoying. As a player, I Often getting 1, 2, and 3 on d10 and d20 dice. Not just that. Monsters seem to have 50% chance of rolling a high number on a dice. The higher level you go, the more odds are against you. I have came across monsters rolled 4 pairs of 6s in a roll!! I equipped an item that allows me to roll 2 or higher on d6. Guess what? I am rolling more 2s than anything else!!! I read some 5 stars reviews. Many of them are fake. One wrote, this is how a dice game should be. Are you kidding me?! It is the same as the first Dice Mage. The odds are completely against the player. If you don’t mind keep losing to 5 or 6 while you rolled 2 d10s or even 2 d20s, it is a okay game. ✓ Great game but...I really enjoy everything about this game...the concept, strategy, pace. Even the rate at which you get items / gems is good for a ftp game. HOWEVER, there is one thing I can't stand. In boss battles after about 5-6 turns of not getting hit, the boss starts rolling max on their dice (i.e. 6 on a d6, 10 on a d10, etc) EVERY roll until they manage to hit you. I can still usually win a few rolls by having higher tier dice and good equipment, but this balancing mechanic is just frustrating and waaay to blatant. And it's definitely not a case of "RNG gets you sometimes lol" because it consistently happens at every boss, and consistently happens over and over until I lose a roll at which point it resets. ✓ Weighted rollsThis game was very fun at first. And I mean very fun. But you will quickly realise that the boss fights are oddly difficult. It’s not because they have significantly more hit points than you, but I believe it’s because the the dice rolls are stacked in favour of the boss. So much so that it’s obvious it’s a deliberate design in the game that quickly kills the fun in it. Play the game, but don’t waste any money on it. ✓ Fun and very punishing and seemingly not yet a finished productIt's like the previous Dice Mage but more dynamic. Enemy dice rolls are ridiculously cheap. Watch in awe of the A.I. as it beats you almost every time. For example player rolls two 20- side die and computer rolls, you will almost always lose. A.I. monsters are stronger than previous game so be prepared to "die" constantly. Issue from previous game remains as sometimes it is difficult to scroll the the screen and you inadvertently go to an island you didn't choose as you're desperately trying to get the screen to move. Also too much randomness to warrant spending money on this game. Using $10 in gems to get a set piece that is worse than you have? Now that's straight up robbery. During battle there is an option to spend gems for new die. Do not bother as it will hardly matter. Also I've seen it not even give you new die. I thought I was mistaken but noticed there is a whole animation when you re-roll, gems went down, no animation, no new die. In a game where where someone may have spent money on gems it is unforgivable. In short another half baked product released to the public with glitches that may waste your money. ✓ I rolled dice to see how many stars to giveThe RNG in this game is broken. Or the developer should be upfront about the abilities and handicaps that enemies possess. After a while, every single enemy dice is a Spell and none of them roll 1’s. And the number of double-sixes and perfect 20 rolls is unrealistic. Show us the enemy’s dice inventory and abilities to prove the AI isn’t cheating. The first game was fine, but when you try to monetize a game of chance, that comes dangerously close to gambling. ✓ 0% chance of winningWhen I started this game, I got good luck on average, same as the enemies. Then I got a D20 dice and rolled a 1 twice in a row. That’s a 1 in 40 chance. ✓ Cool at first but too greedyIt becomes too hard to progress without watching lots of adds or spending lots of money. I did both. It also feels like the randomness isn't always random if you get my drift. Aka if I roll the number I want I get a reward, if I don't I watch an ad after watching about 100x 30 second ads I decided this game was a waste of my time and money. Poor graphics but silly cool little dancing guy when. You win. Game play was interesting but. Not clearly explained what spells do what and what stats you keep and lose when you restart. I like numbers games but this became more about watching ads or paying money. Got to love paying 1.99 for 64 gems to get additional rolls for an item and just rolling crisp roll one after another till gems are gone and still don't have item. ✓ They realized they could make moneyThey finally realized that they could make money off of this game so they took advantage of that, just like I expected when I got this game. I knew I would be here typing a 1 star review because they decided to rig something and make you spend money. That's exactly what they did. The first time I went into one of those chance islands I thought, "*sigh* this is clearly going to be rigged and it'll say 'spend currency to keep going' whenever I fail." Yep. I had 50 rubies and I rolled 4 and 8 and then x5 3 and 8. Don't get this game unless you want to give them money and encourage them to make more rigged features..Austinator GAMINGVersion: 1.0.8

✓ Don’t get me wrong.I really like this game. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times due to one problem I consistently keep having.. Ill start over and, It does not matter how big my dices are with the rolls I have, it would always be very very low. Often lowest. Maybe Im just unlucky with my rolls but I was not even able to make it to level 2-1. (Ive had this game for about two days) My 20 dice, rolls 5 and below. My 10 dice rolls 3’s but thats because I have a gear where my 10 dice does not go lower than 3 sooo.. 🤷‍♂️ I even screen record for about 5 mins and you can see me do like 3 runs, all low rolls.. It would be neat to work on collecting sets, but that's where the game becomes a money trap since you have to save up a ridiculous amount of gems just to get the chance to roll a loot crate to one. ✓ Needs documentationThe game is clever enough and might be enjoyable were there some documentation. Even pop-up descriptions would be a major improvement, 1) Dice vary in value & color but there is no explanation of what the colors or values represent. 2) Buffs added by robes, hats, staves & spell books are ambiguously worded. 3) Spellbook icons are not explained. 4) Beyond a cursory tutorial there is no explanation of the player controls. 5) Combat resolution is never explained so choices are mostly random. I cannot fathom why devs believe that the user can magically intuit a game’s mechanic from a tutorial that consists of _Do this, then do that_. Thematically the game is good but without some explanation of how it works the game becomes a tedious repetition abdominal screen taps. On a personal level, I dislike pixelated graphics.
