Should not be difficult to make an external transferThe app does not support external transfers. That is table stakes for banks in 2023. The process is truly terrible — clients are required to open a web browser and login to a non mobile optimized page to transfer funds. It should NOT be this difficult.Version: 4.58.0

Can’t even useI’ve not been able to log into the mobile app for several weeks now, on top of the limited feature set other reviewers have mentioned. I’m not sure I would recommend FNBO anymore, my experience seems to become more and more lacking.Version: 4.44.0

Can’t transfer to another bankThis app isn’t that useful. I can check a balance and that is about it. I cannot move money to the account or from the account to my bank account unless I log into the web..Version: 4.0.0

Can’t log inI haven’t been able to log into this banking app for months. It is unable to verify identity or anything. It’s hogwash to be marketing this bank as an online only service, with no ability at branches to connect to FNBO when I can’t even use the online bank. No longer can log inBeen receiving the message “unable to verify identity.” The login credentials are good since I can get into my account thru the desktop computer. If a bank doesn’t have a working mobile banking app…it’s time to move my money someplace else..Version: 4.38.0

Lost access to my fundsThe transfer money option no longer works in the FNBO Direct app after the introduction of Zelle for all transfers on the FNBO side (and yes my apps are up to date). You need a second Zelle account (with a new email and phone number) to send money between FNBO & FNBO-D accounts, despite the fact that they share a routing number, because they aren’t on the same app. Without a transfer option and because FNBO-D is completely online (no debit card) my money is quite literally stuck in my account. I can handle glitches, not shady business practices or incredibly poor planning & oversight. Even if this gets resolved, it’s unacceptable to suddenly lose access to an account. Save your time & money and bank elsewhere..Version: 4.67.2

Complete garbageI used to love the application until they updated and now I am unable to access my accounts through it. How about you fix your garbage application!.Version: 4.0.0

Deposits and transfers.I gave it a three rating because you do not offer external transfers from the app, which is very inconvenient. Also, the photo capture for deposits is very touchy and takes too long to capture the picture. Also, the details for how much interest is being made is not easily identified. It would be nice to have a quick and easy location to identify what the interest rate is on the app..Version: 4.66.0

Nope.The app doesn’t work. Every time I try and log in, it gives me an error message that’s says “there was an error processing this information.” I’ve requested twice through the app that it be fixed, but have never heard back or seen any changes. Huge disappointment..Version: 3.5.1

Terrible online technology50% of the time when I go online to check my balance, I get a sorry we are having technical difficulties. When I try to access my account with my laptop and enter my user name and password it flips me over to my First National checking account, even though I have a different user name and password. Lame 2FAUpdate2: 2FA seems to be working now on website and app. Face ID seems to be working on app. However, verification every week is ridiculous. 2FA is common these days and you completely bungled implementing it. As a result, I’ve opened accounts with Ally Bank and I’m moving my business there. Update1: Despite being told the 2FA verification lasts 1 week per code (which is WAY too short), this app and the website ask for it every time I login. That is annoying, their planned 1 week timeframe is annoying and this all really defeats having Face ID login in this app (which is also annoying). I’ve gone from being happy with FNBO Direct to looking at moving my accounts elsewhere because of this change. Don’t punish responsible people with these hurdles because of the irresponsible people. This isn’t rocket science and could have been implemented much better. Original: Requires 2FA every login (no trust this device). If going to do it this way, need to make Microsoft or Google Authenticator an option..Version: 4.7.1

They don't careI still am having issues logging into the app (I can't at all). I called customer service and they offered to do a password reset. My password isn't the problem since I can log in on a desktop computer. But they refuse to do anything else to help. I am strongly considering leaving the bank. An ONLINE bank with an app that won't let you access your own account is a joke.Version: 4.44.0

Basically it’s the mobile version of web siteThis app has zero utility. Being an online savings bank, the most likely reason a user would access this app would be to execute an external transfer. With that functionality missing, I’m not sure what the point was in creating this app. I will continue to use the convoluted process to access the full site on chrome until FNBO can provide an app with the necessary functionality of a savings bank app (which is simple, balance and external transfers....).Version: 3.6.0

App hasn’t been able to login for monthsI don’t know what has happened but I can’t connect to my account at all anymore. I have to do everything through the web. I get a “Unable to verify your identity” with touch based login and “Your request could not be completed” when I enter the password manually. It has been this way for months now. I keep thinking the next update will fix it, but after several rounds of updates I still can’t login..Version: 4.44.0

Worthless app with no functionalityHalarious! Take the ti w to call their support center and told “that’s just the way it is, you have to use the full app to do transfers”. Them make comments on App Store and the same comments 6 years ago 4 years a go1 year ago and last week have same complaints…. Never fixed in 6 or 4 or 2 or 1 year ago, but FNBO app developer says “ sorry doesn’t meet your expectations… concerns have been shared appropriately”. Can’t do many of the important featuresBut they are not upfront about this. Presumably, as a “fix” for their crappy limited technology, there is a link to the full website which also lacks needed options if accessed on a phone. No warning as well. I have to get a laptop or desktop to access certain fundamental things such as transferring monies between my own accounts at different institutions. For a company that is primarily online they should invest in better technology, have more information embedded in their app/ website and have more knowledgeable, kinder people on phone support. This bank behaves with little to no respect for my time or needs when it comes to managing my accounts. I regret choosing them..Version: 3.8.3

No external transfers?Really, there are only two essential functions for an online savings account: transferring money to/from your bank, and checking your balance. And really, checking your balance is secondary. The one thing you absolutely have to be able to do is get money in and out of your account. This app has no mechanism for transferring to/from an external account. Why even make it?.Version: 3.6.0

How is their customer service this bad???This company so far has been a real piece of *ahem* work. I should open with saying that the CC division of FNBO has been great. Okay, now to my review: I first attempted to open a checking account with FNBO Direct in December, but I mistakenly selected “Savings”, and by the time I realized this, it was too late, I could not cancel the application, which meant I could not start over and apply for a checking account instead. I called Customer Service and they said I had to finish the application for the savings account before applying for a checking account. Remember this is a product I did not even want. This process involved having to email documents for address verification, which they don’t prompt you for until you’ve eve opened the account, and to literally MAIL IN your initial deposit using USPS. Since finally being able to open my checking account a month ago, I’ve had to go the exact same process — address verification (which mandates you call their CS # bc they don’t come out and tell you where to send it) and a mail-in initial deposit. In a neat little twist, they gave me a different email address to send my address verification documents each time. There is no excuse for making customers go through these vague and inconsistent steps. On top of it all, their customer service representatives, when you do get them on the phone, really don’t seem to even want to resolve your issues. They will put you on hold forever and even go so far as to contradict what you tell them. Not to mention as of today, January 30, 2023, the customer service number doesn’t even work! You select ‘2’ to speak to a rep and it automatically disconnects you. It just drops the call completely. What on earth is going on? I have no idea, but hey, at least they got me to open two different accounts. I don’t feel very good about using either one, but I don’t have much of a choice right now. UselessBeyond checking your balance, this app has no purpose. Nothing else is able to be done through this app. To make payments, transfers, check rewards, you are directed to sign into the website, which then attempts to direct you back to the app. This never ending circle of frustration lends to why this is a 1-star app..Version: 4.41.0

No external transfer optionApp does not allow for you to transfer funds to an external branch account..Version: 4.4.0

It’s 2033And I still can’t make an external transfer between my main checking account and my FNBO high yield savings account. Guys, it’s 2023. It’s been 3 years since someone else left a review complaining about this exact same issue. Please update the app..Version: 4.63.0
