✓ Sorry, not worth five dollarsNow I’m not a hater or a critic, but five bucks is a bit too much for this game. If the game was cheaper, maybe it would be worth four stars. The weapons are unremarkable. There really is no gameplay difference from one to another. I don’t feel rewarded buying new ones. They really could have made the weapons a lot more fun and different. Over all, the gameplay doesn’t change much. There really isn’t any progression from level one to the last level. I don’t feel like I’m going anywhere. Same level every time. The story is nothing. Really nothing. Skip. Why am I collecting the three coins per level? There is no reward or bonus for getting them. It’s a meaningless milestone, worse than an “achievement”. Don’t get me wrong, the game isn’t terrible. It was good enough for a days fun. But five dollars? I really felt they could have done a much better job..Version: 1.1.02
✓ Downloading every time I open itI like the game but why does it need to download the same level every time I open it, I have to wait like 5 minutes before playing and if I’m on the train or in an area with poor internet then forget it.Version: 1.0.3
✓ Graphics are nice but controls are so frustratingI keep quitting this game mid-level because I find the game controls frustrating and not very responsive. It's also super annoying to have to click through the opening credits - can't it remember I've already seen it and just skip it completely? At this point, I'm disappointed I spent money to purchase the game and now I just play it out of of obligation to "get my money's worth," not because I actually am enjoying the game. ✓ Poor gameplay even if good graphismGood animations and graphism. Very poor gameplay. The character is hard to control (and no I’m not just bad, I have all the achievements in the game), the commands are bad designed, the scrolling phases are the worst. ✓ Mostly okIt’s a fun game but it got ruined for me very quickly. I would download the levels at home to play during my commute. I got annoyed at how much data this eats up because it needs to download the SAME level each time I open the app. Good idea, garbage execution. 4/10 would not recommend.Version: 1.1.02

✓ UGH!!!!The game is beautiful and I love the art style, so I’ll give it 3 stars for that. Its two stars short of perfect because it is so dang hard to control!! I’ve tried using the touch controls and a remote controller and it’s still difficult! Oddmar doesn’t move quickly, he doesn’t jump far, and the life bar is unforgiving. You get two hearts - that’s two bumps from an enemy and you’re back to the last checkpoint. This is infuriating and I’m deleting the game. It looks like a lot of effort and love went into this game, which I can appreciate, but I can’t continue to play a game that pisses me off within 10 minutes..Version: 1.1.02

✓ This is appalling!I love the sound, visuals and how this game controls. But since the update about 2 weeks ago, all of my progress has been lost. I have lost timer challenge coins, dreamworld coins and secret coins in the first world. I have spent over 3 hours getting this progress for it all to be lost. Then, the update on the 14th of December stating that they have fixed this problem was a lie! I still have lost my progress. I wouldn’t be bothered if it was free, but because it was £5, I feel like I’ve wasted time! I’m really annoyed! This is appalling! I won’t be playing this until it’s fixed. ✓ Could have been so goodI love the game, and for the most part it nails the platform design, story and graphics. I might have given four or possibly five stars if not for the controls. The character stops moving In the middle of the level, leading to unfair deaths. Whether it’s a bug or not, it kills every ounce of fun in this game. The onscreen controls that are visible are to small and close together. The sliding touch controls are terrible and not worth using for a second. Maybe if they patched the random stopping and enlarged the controls I would rate it higher..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Fix crashes and online play.Please allow me to play this offline. I am mainly playing on my daily commute (well trying to play) and the game crashes on startup when signal drops. Not ideal. ✓ Well designed game; substandard controlsThis is one of the best action games I’ve played on iOS. The problem is the touch controls; they’re awkward and simply not responsive or precise enough. When my character dies, I want him to die because of a mistake I made, not because my right swipe registered as a virtual home button press and the app suddenly closes. Also, there are certain sections where the action takes place on the bottom left of the screen, and the view is obstructed by my thumb which is obviously required in that spot to control the character..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Will not download next level.Don’t get me wrong. This app deserves a 5* rating; it’s an awesome game. However, I cannot rate the game above a 1* as I cannot play anything past the first level because the app will not download the next level. My connection is not the problem. When I try to download the second the level I get the download progress bar but it will not download the second level at all for some reason. I’ll gladly change my review to a 5* once the issue is resolved. If anyone knows why please enlighten me. To the developers: Before you suggest that I uninstall and reinstall the app please read my review in its entirety as I’ve reinstalled the game multiple times. I see I am not the only person with this issue. I have the latest iOS version available for my iPhone 6. ✓ Looks GreatVisually it is a beautiful game. The story/exposition is really irritating but I’m sure RPG fans will like it. Also the left hand controls are garbage. Too many times you try to switch directions only to have your character stall and die. Very frustrating. Then again they seem to try to fix this not by making better controls but by placing tons of save points through each level. ✓ Looks good. A bit boring.Great cartoony graphics. But somehow the gameplay feels flat. Like it’s just jumping around. The cutscenes tell a story of sorts, but to be honest you could’ve patched pretty much any story over the gameplay: story and gameplay are largely independent. After a while I gave up with the game, mainly because I felt the only way you’d care enough to carry on was to follow the storyline.
