✓ Found my Apple Pencil in minutesI don’t normally write reviews and was a little sceptical at first on whether this app would work. However after searching the house and thinking I must have left my Apple Pencil somewhere else i thought I’d give this a go after trying a couple of the free apps. It didn’t detect the pencil at first but the app told me to start moving some things where I thought it might be to activate the bluetooth, which I did with no success. I then moved my backpack where i keep my IPad and suddenly the pencil appeared on the screen, telling me that it had 90% battery life. This was odd as I’d already emptied my bag looking for it. I searched again and found the pencil in a fold in the side of the backpack where the lining had come away, hiding the pencil completely. It would have never been found if it was not for the app convincing me that the pencil was activated by my moving the bag. Saved me £150! The interface is not the best, could not work out how to go back once I’d selected the first suspected device, but it ultimately found my pencil so all is good.Version: 1.4

Soon after I couldn’t find my pencil - definitely NOT a good feeling as I use it so frequently. Looked up how to find, found a solution which suggested Bluetooth Finder - bought the app, tried it and boom! It said my pencil was in the room I was in. Pulled off the couch cover and dug into crevices and found it within minutes. As soon as Bluetooth Finder told me it was in the room my distress dropped and I could search effectively. ✓ WowI was sceptical but my next option was to buy a new Apple Pencil, as I thought there was a chance it had been stolen, so I thought I may as well try this first. I nudged the furniture as it suggested and suddenly the pencil appeared. It took a bit of a wild goose chase to find the pencil but I can say from the bottom of my heart that I would not have been able to find where my toddler had hidden it were it not for the amazingly simple proximity indicator on the screen, letting us know when we were hot or cold. After searching for hours for my pencil, I finally downloaded this app. Initially, I couldn’t find my pencil, but then I read some forums and it seems that the pencil goes to sleep automatically when not in use, so all I needed was to wake it up. I lost my Apple Pencil which I draw with everyday and I was scared I wouldn’t be able to post on my channel I even uploaded a video on it! I knew I had lost my Apple Pencil somewhere in the house but none of my family could find were. I downloaded this app and it said it was on my desk all along! But under I kinda shelf thing I have which nobody thought to check. I gave up for that night, woke up next morning holding my iPad with this app on as a first thing to do and here comes the signal bar is going up and up nearby the foot end of our bed. I flipped everything and here it is! My Apple Pencil is on the floor covered with some other items, nearby a chair in the bedroom where I didn’t expect to find. The app worth way more than $4.99. Than started picking up bags and things and putting them close to my iPad to see if the rainbow signal stayed all the way to the right. I found it in a bag I had searched 3 times before! Ugh! It tells me to start nudging things. This needs no more than a slight jostle - think pushing your desk with your hip. No need to push hard enough to make things fall over. The third thing I moved, and up popped the pencil on the app. So I searched that third thing, and realised that I few days ago I had put the pencil in a pencil case because I had had to slim down my bag. I had completely forgotten and would not have found it until long after I’d bought the replacement. With this app I had the pencil again in under a minute. This app is worth the money - it literally found everything in range with a Bluetooth signal. ✓ Does as it says -one issueHello, I got this app today due to me getting my new Apple Pencil and since there’s no way to track it if it’s lost or stolen I went looking for an app to help me overcome the issue. This app works fine and shows me a very zoomed in map of where my pencil is but I don’t seem to be able to zoom out of the map which would be incredibly useful. I’ve tried pinching in and out to zoom or even move around the map but I haven’t been able to. Maybe I’m missing something which would allow me to do so or maybe it’s just not a feature. ✓ Found my Apple PencilSo quick summary is I found my Apple Pencil using the app. Long summary is basically I tried looking for the pencil in my room and couldn’t find it. I downloaded the app and when the app opens, it starts connecting to Bluetooth. I had 2% battery left on my pencil since my iPad told me. Now the thing is, when it is searching for Bluetooth it showed one device on it already and it was something like “LWS0221”, while also it was looking for more devices. Since nothing showed saying Apple Pencil I assumed that was it, so I connected to find the LWS0221, but after spending 20 mins leading me downstairs to the front of my door and in neighboring rooms I gave up and came back upstairs. I took the advice of another reviewer who moved stuff violently. I decided to move all things in my room violently so that the pencil could give a signal when moved. Finally after moving under my bed random stuff, the iPad picked up the device “Apple pencil”. I connected to it and boom it gave a signal that it was under my bed with 100% certainty on the meter. It turns out that I cooked a cake 2 days ago and put the cake tin on the table where my Pencil was and it magnetically connected. Luckily I didn’t put in the dishwasher as there was left over cake. The app did not even take 20 mins. Just to note my iPad was in the living room and the tin was in the kitchen and it still came up on screen with a connection. Just follow the bar and walk around. ✓ Saved my life! Apple Pencil showed up on app after a day!I was deep cleaning my room and by the end of it, I realized I could only find my iPad and not my Apple pencil. I thought I accidentally threw it away or it somehow fell into the trash bag... I downloaded the Bluetooth finder app, but my pencil did not show up on the list of devices. I even walked around my whole apartment three times, shaking various things. I was super discouraged, so decided to sleep it off. The next morning I decided to check randomly and Apple Pencil showed up on the list, but the app wasn’t able to locate a signal so I clicked out of the screen. It does the job well and help me to find the Apple Pencil and location I had not expected in the house. If you are considering the purchase of this app, there is one major caveat. It only locates the Apple Pencil when it is active. I was fortunate during my search that someone sat on a couch (two rooms over from where I was searching) and moved the Pencil. If not for that, I may not have found it with the app. As it is, the Apple Pencil was activated, I was able to locate the approximate area where the pencil was misplaced, and several minutes of digging through the couch cushioned led to my prize. The app can also help find other devices connected by Bluetooth to my iPad such as my iPhone and Apple Watch. I haven’t had a need to locate those since Find My iPhone works as well, but I can see a need for it if I’m in an area with a weak signal. My only suggestion for improvement is to add a legend or key for the bar used to demonstrate signal strength. Also, when you select the device and the device is “disconnected,” you can’t get back to the other devices without resetting the application, as it seems to freeze. I have a dumb habit of absentmindedly setting my pencil down randomly when a spontaneous task pops up, then forgetting where I put it. My pup Fozzie Bear often exploits the situation by finding the pencil first, snatching it up to ransom for a cookie. If it takes too long for me to realize he has it or if I’m out of cookies and try to take it back anyway, he crunches it. I’m on my sixth Apple Pencil because of this! Previously, I tended to panic-search for my pencil several times a day, cursing the lack of a “find my iPhone/pad”-type feature. Since I got this app, my life is so much calmer! ✓ Found my devicesI’m seeing a lot of negative reviews here and people are complaining that they that I’m seeing a lot of negative reviews here and people complaining that they can’t find their Apple Pencil. This is not a problem with the app, rather if you turned off your iPad since losing the Apple Pencil or if it’s been a while then the pencil itself will stop transmitting a Bluetooth signal. In that case you would need to pair it up with your iPad again before this app will work. You need to use it shortly after losing your Apple Pencil in order for it to work. This was my experience. I found my Apple Pencil not too long after I got this app. Once I paired it and then looked for it again with the app it worked like a charm. Tested it on other devices such as my phone, and I found that no problem. I even tried moving the chair across the room but it was clear the signal was coming from the chair. My husband kept saying it was impossible, that there was no way it was in the chair.
