AdGuard Pro — adblock&privacy for Positive User Reviews

Does work but sometimes not sure what it’s doingI love this program it blocks lots of harmful sites but sometimes I’m not sure if it’s doing anything but eat up resources and holding internet connections and ports open. I know just enough about networking to really screw something up but at the same time I can also recognize when something is suspicious. There are some days I’m suspicious but their reputation is impeccable so I’m probably just paranoid. In the name of security it does make some convenient links stop working but you can choose if you want convenience and your data stollen or security and a little more typing.Version: 4.1.0

Best blocker on the marketAwesome and personable tech support as well, which is rare. I love the activity page where I can see which sites my phone is accessing, and immediately whitelist or block them. I just wish the activity page would auto update and show me the logs as soon as they happen.Version: 4.1.1

Works very wellBlocks literally every ad possible and encrypts your DNS traffic which helps avoid your ISP monitoring a lot of your browsing..Version: 2.1.2

Used to workUsually this app is fantastic but as of recently it has stopped working on iOS 13.3. With DNS on with filters set and Adguard toggle switch set to 'on' in Settings > Safari, the browser continues to show ads. However, within the browser on the top left hand corner, it says turn on content blocker which I have done. But it still doesn't block content even with content blocker set in website settings. After which, when Safari has closed and reopen these settings aren't saved. I have also factoey restored my device. Now I don't know what has happened but it's just stopped working. Is this because you went us to move to the yearly subscription? Help..Version: 2.1.2

Excellent AppThanks Apple, "Privacy is a human right" they say, then Apple bans one of the best privacy tools on ios. Too bad. Its an awesome app..Version: 2.1.1

Just works as advertisedUse this on all my devices.Version: 4.2.2

Works GreatThe video is a bit hard to follow and there doesn’t appear to be much explanation of how to use it or what everything does but I’ve managed to get it working perfectly and it blocks all ads in Safari and Apps..Version: 2.1.2

It works great :)No more pesky ads.Version: 4.2.2

Is great program and Adguard support Top notch H 🔥🤝Have been using adguard for years. Not only is the product spectacular at blocking adds and more. But the customer support is always able in lending a hand too. In with either email or the Laden in with support. So for this I thank you all. Also make note you can also block adds in with other apps too so it's been definitely a win for me in with that and my personal privacy too. Thanks again for such a splendid product. Edit: as late has gotten semi worse. As well the app is a wonderful app. But lately is is and us gotten buggy like a hack. On other notes. The company and dns is the best out. It should work hand in hand with other applications..Version: 4.4.4

Only apple store security program I trustFantastic app, literally the perfect position when it comes to having a ton of advanced customizable settings/features without it getting out of hand like say Surge. Only two gripes; not enough group resources where I can see people openly discussing iOS settings and tricks. Secondly, the AdGuard pro browser extension has broken basically all of my web browser pages when it’s installed, and since I don’t have a token/account page on AdGuard because it’s a Pro purchase. I can’t seem to delete the user rules without them somehow getting backed up. I also wish you could set the endpoints for the vpn tunnel as well, get a lot of sniffers sometimes but everything else in the app is fantastic!.Version: 4.2.1

FantasticThis app has been a sanity saviour. I was getting constant pop ups and nothing could stop them. After researching many forums, buyer feedback and blogs; I plumped for AdGuard Pro. The experience has been completely positive. It’s easy to install and there are a couple of v short ‘vids’ that explain how to get started. Then it’s a matter (for me) of checking a few boxes in the app and a couple in my iPhone settings. What has really made my experience POSITIVE has been the tech support service. I am a person who uses their iPhone for everything but doesn’t really understand much of the technical side that some users do. This app is as simple as can be to install, and the benefits enormous. My pop ups stopped as soon as the app was installed. I don’t know why it so so cheap; it’s worth much more..Version: 2.1.1

Poor blocking and impossible to report sitesDailymail has full ads showing. Went to report the site, but it wants a screenshot,. No problem. On the iPad, it’s over 5mb. Their reporting system won’t accept it. Poor..Version: 2.1.1

On all my connected devicesAfter trying several options, AdGuard seemed the most effective at blocking ads across all apps (not just within Safari) whilst not getting in the way of what I really wanted to access..Version: 4.1.0

NiceAt first it was incredible with in app ad blocking, then it got vorse after Apple decided to remove those features. However, recent updates made the app even more pleasing to use..Version: 2.0.2

ExcellentBlocks all ads, tried more than a few ad blockers, this is by far the best..Version: 2.1.1

Awesome adblockerGreat Adblocker, no issues whatsoever ever. Just one tip is could you develop a keyboard shortcut for element blocker. so its much faster to block certain objects on a website. :-).Version: 4.4.5

Most full featured content blockerThis is the most full featured content blocker I’ve come across in, it even has an element blocker built in! I also love the fact that you can select your own lists, this allows things such as blocking the annoying ‘would you like to open our app , even though you specifically decided to navigate here using a web browser?’’ No? Okay we’ll just leave this banner that takes up 1/3 of your screen right here in case you change your mind’ notices..Version: 2.1.2

Could be more satisfiedDefinitely worth the money but I can’t be bothered writing more 👍.Version: 4.2.0

Internet is Instantly more enjoyableDid some research, paid for the Pro version, installed and activated the AdGuard dns functionality and no more ads. This app has made internet surfing instantly more enjoyable. Gladly pay the one-time fee over other subscription services. Thanks!.Version: 4.3.1

Top content blocker! Most comprehensive ad/content blocker available on iOS/iPadOS..Version: 4.1.1

Works perfectly!Always the best at what it does..Version: 4.3.1

Great app with two suggestionsThis is a great app, the dns logger is incredibly useful when you’re trying to nail down where an ad is being loaded from!! It would be a great improvement if it was able to sync (via iCloud) all of your config from one device to another. And the only other thing I would like to see as an improvement would be the ability to manage (delete/re-install) the vpn profiles the app creates..Version: 2.0.2

Works as expected on iPhone.Would like compatibility for Mac M1..Version: 4.2.2

Good but not perfect.Everything works well in regards to blocking but I have an issue with the DNS server connecting “on demand” if I use temporary VPN configuration the DNS server will not automatically connect afterward and has to be done manually, regardless if connect on demand is on. This feature works fine with my other VPN configuration, just not the AdGuard one..Version: 4.0.2

Great app! Be sure the DNS filter is on!The safari Addon is great but its best part is the AdGuard DNS filter that works even on the Flipboard app. It also works on many other apps and it prevents ads from loading via IP filtering. Just be sure the DNS filter is on with the AdGuard default filter on..Version: 4.2.2

A Must Have ApplicationThis is by far and away my most treasured app. Every device I own has a version installed on it, I won’t connect to the internet without it..Version: 4.1.0

Great alternative to purifyI Purchased this as a replacement for purify ad blocker which now fails to block most current ads and tracking AdGuard is more customizable and has A list of trusted and well-known filters to choose from.Version: 2.1.2

Excellent AdblockerIts an Excellent Adblocker , works like a charm, updates quickly and Excellent Value for money, Top Class A + + + + +.Version: 4.4.0

Spent some time with itAfter spending some time with it, I think the app is great and only suffers from some a few problems. The new update especially put it above the rest with hosts file/subscriptions feature and the dnscrypt servers. The major problem I’m having with it is that some requests can bypass the blocking when disconnecting and switching over to another to another network. Requests are also able to bypass the blocker when manually blacklisting requests in the dns logger. If not for this, it would be 5/5..Version: 2.0.2

Best adblocker! When AdGuard is on, I cannot connect to the internet at all. I had paid for this app and it’s now unusable. Using AdGuard’s DNS, I cannot connect to the internet at all. I even restarted the phone. The other DNS servers provided doesn’t block the mobile ads like AdGuard’s DNS. ETA: there was an issue with their DNS that was affecting everyone. This really is the best adblocker around because it not only blocks ads in the browsers, it also blocks mobile ads!.Version: 4.4.4

Great productBye bye to adds!.Version: 4.1.1

Perfect System Wide Ad-BlockingBasically the perfect solution for system wide adblock. Works well in conjunction with VPN. The ability to parse DNS hosts far surpasses other apps I've tried without issue. The only additions I'd like to see are implementing adding encrypted DNS settings via DNSStamp lines, and to select multiple encrypted DNS options (for IPV4 and IPV6). Otherwise it's completely perfect..Version: 2.1.0

Curious update...I love the potential of this app but the latest update added some worrisome issues, such as disabling the dns filter every time you add a domain to the block list. Not good for people fighting spyware. Second, this update added a mobile api request every few minutes chock full of malware and spyware and Trojan downloaders, some of which have already been traced back to some pretty widespread malicious networks. A lot of stalking victims rely on this app. Do better, fellas..Version: 4.0.2

Well worth the premium priceI usually don’t write reviews even for apps I really like, but this app really does make my internet viewing less annoying. Less cookies prompts, privacy prompts, pop ups, ads and even though the app’s best settings cost a bit it’s relaxing to browse and not be constantly bombarded..Version: 4.2.2

Easily the best Ad & DNS blocker...also open sourceLike a lot of you I’ve used several add blocking tours, AdGuard is extremely through, well maintained by its developers and open source (on github). I can’t say enough positive things about it. Two bucks is less than a MUNI/bus ride ticket. Btw, incredible UI...powerful good. I only wish it could use iCloud to sync settings, custom filters, etc. BTW, I did like the old UI more but I’m slowly learning the new one. Thanks AGP dev’s!!.Version: 4.0.3

LiberationCould be happier to have something like this on my phone. The DNS feature is so handy too! I wonder if there would ever be Siri shortcut support..Version: 4.2.2

MintWorks better than advertised.Version: 4.4.0

👌👌👌Vraiment bon.Version: 2.1.2

The best ad blocker on iOSClosest we’ll get to the legendary uBlock origin. Highly recommend to use this to take back your internet experience, don’t let websites treat you like a pair of eyeballs to serve obnoxious ads to!.Version: 4.3.1

FinallyFinally after a long wait, huge update has been delivered. Thanks guys for your great work..Version: 4.0.1

Same as AdGuard PremiumThis app only blocks ads for Safari. A previous reviewer called this app “the perfect solution for system wide ad block”. This is no longer the case. That review is misleading and should be removed. This app will NOT do system wide ad blocking. If you have AdGuard Premium you don’t need AdGuard Pro, they are basically the same..Version: 4.0.2

Best money spentBought this app several years ago now and Instill consider it the best money I have ever spent. Using the Ad Guard features allows me to block almost all annoying ads. The element block feature is fantastic for cruising on Safari and getting rid of those annoying pop ups. Buy it! Research how to use it fully and you won't regret it!.Version: 4.1.0

Works greatEasy to use and works as advertised.Version: 4.4.0

Excellent ad blocker and privacy controlThe a fantastic ad blocker with amazing privacy control. A must for every iOS device!.Version: 4.1.1

Great app! This app is great for ad blocking and works as an anti-revoke This app also works flawlessly.Version: 2.1.1

Most sophisticated appMust have app with lots of features..Version: 2.1.1

ExcellentGreat app with excellent customer service..Version: 2.1.1

It's the way the internet was meant to beJust like a properly configured desktop this stops the annoyanceware completely. It might even help reduce tracking but 🤷‍♀️ Worth it..Version: 4.2.1

LuigiIf you looking for app block all ads from free games this is rage right best working,on browser there are only few sometimes pop up but definitely best of all.Version: 2.1.1

A GREAT & ESSENTIAL APP!I had my first experience with this wonderful app on their other, subscription based version of the app simply "AdGuard" and ever since I've been hooked! This app is a total game changer! I, for one, have never minded unintrusive ads on my device, I even accepted them as a necessary evil to keep free services.....ya know....free, however, when they get in your face and demand your attention or acknowledgement in some way that's when it's not okay. -- this app helps correct that. You can even customize and refine the filters to fit your every need! Has an admanaged to slip through all your filters? Then you need only look at the logs the app provides and with a little deductive reasoning you can find the offending url and block it! I honestly can't find the words to express how amazing this app is, but I can say they could charge double the $9.99 and I'd still have bought it and felt I got more than my money's worth!.Version: 4.0.4

Connection Bug Making App UnusableConnection bug has made the app unusable for the past month. I tried reaching out to the development team half a dozen times but never received a response after my initial inquiry. It’s sad because I had a good relationship with this platform for half a decade and enjoyed using the paid version, but I have since moved to Weblock and it works just as well.Version: 4.3.2

Light-years ahead of other “Blockers”Full control over all aspects of filtering and blockers ads and trackers..Version: 4.2.0

Better browsing experience.Since getting the app I’ve had noticeably fewer encounters with random pop-up ads. It adds a nice layer of protection to my device and makes for a safer and better browsing experience. I would recommend this to friends..Version: 4.3.2

Excellent Ad-blocking in everythingI use the AdGuard Chrome extension on all of my PCs and am very happy to see this same effectiveness extended to IOS as well. Well worth £1.99.Version: 2.1.2

Rating added because of naggingIt’s a great filter/blocker. It’s probably the best, but they use the anti-pattern of forcing you to choose between rating them or “having a problem”. Come on, you’re better than this..Version: 4.1.0

Exceptional ad blockerDoes what it says - blocks ads very well. That says it all!.Version: 4.3.1

This has been idealIdeal in its ease of use, ideal in its performance and the ideal confidence-builder in protecting me from risk..Version: 2.1.1

AdGuard Pro 2.0With the support of DNSCrypt and host files, this is one of the best mobile security solution. Kudos to the whole AdGuard Team..Version: 2.0.0

ExcellentHave used it for years.Version: 4.3.2

Works greatWorks fantastic for me, also blocks ads system wide. Worth the one off purchase for me. Thanks for not making it a subscription..Version: 4.4.0

I feel safer and it’s doing it’s job perfectly!I am using premium and it is fantastic! With premium you get a VPN and ability to block certain content, And have not seen an ad in ages, Works great for me!.Version: 4.1.1

PerfectDont break it! Its great! So easy and customise able.Version: 2.1.2

Really good, just one bugI don’t do too many reviews but i really like this product. I considered it because i wanted a premium Adblocker. But I didn’t want to get sucked into paying a subscription to get it. I would definitely buy again. The only issue that i run into is it will randomly interrupt my internet connection when using the smart DNS. All i have to do is reset the DNS and its fixed. But if someone could look into that it would be great.Version: 4.4.4

Great app for blocking ads and adding dns over httpsOverall this app is very well thought out and has great features. The dns setting is great but does seem to show minor, but sometimes noticeable slowdown. Feature Request: please add a pin to the app’s dns settings. This would be helpful for parents that want to prevent kids from disabling the family friendly dns service. Hopefully Apple locks down the VPN toggle in the future too..Version: 4.3.1

So far so great!!Using encrypted DNS and the already preset privacy setting filters means this is the best ad busting app I have ever used- and I have used them all! Well worth the money but just don’t update from this version as it looks like Apple wants to stop these anti-ad apps from working. Hint: use the privacy settings for system wide cover..Version: 2.1.1

For £1.99 u can’t go wrongHave a lifetime subscription on my laptop which I recommend to everybody. Loads of language on the app I don’t understand as my knowledge of computers/phones/internet is limited so I will have to google some of these. Like I said I recommend adguard to everyone so I’m sure this app will be decent and for £1.99 I can’t go wrong..Version: 2.0.2

Just awesomeFantastic product. Does exactly what I need without getting in the way. Save a fortune in data costs as it gets rid of ads, new yes videos, and social media links..Version: 4.1.1

Great app constrained by Apple’s walled gardenA great app, with even better support, that does its best given the limits and constraints that are placed upon it by Apple’s guidelines. Well worth the Pro upgrade in my opinion. There’s only so much they can do, but the content blocker is great, and being able to manually choose DNS so that it stays consistent across wifi and mobile networks is great. The ability to subscribe to custom blocklists in the upcoming update (I have tested the beta) will also be a great addition. And you definitely cannot fault the fantastic support that the developers provide. Great job!.Version: 1.3.3

Great appUse this on iOS, macOS and Windows10 and it works flawlessly everywhere. Apple need to revisit their restrictions on apps like this to allow users choice on what they see and share..Version: 2.1.1

Makes the internet faster!I just wish it worked on Apple TV! Makes the internet load faster thanks to better DNS, provides encryption to protect you via optional encrypted DNS setting and blocks ads. It also supports remote hosts files. I don’t think there’s a better app out there than this..Version: 4.3.1

ExcellenceNow with native DNS AdGuard has done it again since rebirth to overcome filter limits. The App gets easier to configure once a user gets used to it. Initially was concerned about feature bloat but it runs smoothly..Version: 4.1.0

Why has pro version been forgottenOverall a great app, standard version has received updates and pro version has been left to rot.Version: 2.1.2

Nip in the bud with DNSThis app is powerful and you will likely see that some of your applications stop working right away. This is a good thing. It will help you to filter out the services and companies who don’t properly respect your privacy and data and question whether it’s worth it to continue using them. Since it uses DNS the request is stopped before it ever starts, dramatically cutting down on processing time. You will find that there are a staggering number of trackers in the wild, and who knows where they all lead to at the end of their supply chains. With this app you will at least take a big dent out of that activity in your life. I was also able to apply to my wife’s phone using the shared app functionality. Highly recommended and worth every cent..Version: 2.1.1

Works wellGets rid of most adds and other promoted content. A few quirks, but totally worth using..Version: 4.4.0

Does not work anymore (have to use DNS protection)Does not block ads, and cannot remove YT ads. --- Support suggested alternative method using DNS protection, works now..Version: 4.4.5

Good but slightly disappointedIt so far has blocked loads of adds and trackers on the web but I won’t block adds on one of the worse apps for adds which is the dailymail app ..Version: 4.0.2

LOVE IT! Only thing I ever worry about is my VPN and AdGuard colliding.Absolutely amazing!!! I’ve tried pretty much every AdBlocker on the AppStore. (For mobile use) and ADGUARD is without a doubt years ahead of the rest. I use it with NordVPN and have tried it with Norton Secure VPN. Both worked fine together under single tunnel mode. The only doubt I’ve ever had, would be if they’re both actually working fine. Both connected, NordVPN shows no signs of malfunction either. I also use both on my Desktop as well, since they’re both (NordVPN and AdGuard ) different and have + features on Desktop. I would like to know if the the security features would cancel each other out, especially since I already have Mcafee security on my desktop. For the moment I turned of AdGuard Security, and NordVPN Security. Just in case. Anyway, Overall! AMAZING!!.Version: 2.1.1

Works perfect. When used correctly with a DNS, the app can block annoying pop up ads from mobile games, completely turning them off. This is great for those games that I enjoy but have a 30 second ad after 3 levels..Version: 4.3.1

Ios 14 is greatWith the latest updates, the performance is incredible compared to what it was before. The ui has a dark mode now which is nice and theres also encryption on dns filtering as an option. It works really well along side my VPN app with no connection timeouts like i used to get. 👏.Version: 4.0.3

I honestly stopped using it until...In the past year I stopped using Adguard Pro as the performance was just not up to par to my MacOS setup and UBlock Origin speed and simplicity. But with this latest update I’m very impressed by the speed difference! So much so that it seems better and quicker than my desktop setup!? Adding custom filters? Boom takes a second! Want to remove an object from a page? Boom good to go in sec sec - compared to last version where it could take 10-20-30 seconds... Very impressed by the update, fantastic team. Thank you, safari and AP are now back on my starter screen!.Version: 4.0.2

Adguard ProI had been using Adblock by Futuremind before I have had a chance to find out about this one. Be honest with you, I have never had any issues with the Adlock, and it was working like charm, till I get to try it with a Vpn connection. For some reasons I needed to use a Vpn, and once I did it, the Adblock stopped blocking the ads. It was kinda annoying. Adguard Pro has so far coped with my expectations. I haven't seen any app I currently use has any ads in them. Even if I connect to a Vpn server. So far, I am really impressed by the developers work. I hope that the team is gonna keep up with their hard work in the future as well. I suggest this adblocker to anyone who wants to have a reliable adblocking app which blocks Safari and in Apps ads, and wants to use it even when they are connected to a Vpn network..Version: 4.2.2

App is excellent but some in-app ads still go throughExcellent app the best I've ever used. Could use some improvements though currently it's not blocking in-app ads in the Guardian News app.Version: 2.1.1

The best anti-tracker available. The mix of excellent standard and regional filter configuration, makes this app the best available. Online advertises and marketing companies won't like it for sure..Version: 4.4.0

Stopped working on Chrome appUsed to work really well but recently it has stopped working on the Chrome browser app and I get a lot of ads.Version: 4.2.1

WorthwhileCreepy to see how much Tracking and “DNS Requests” this app has picked up as I search the web. Very glad I bought this app..Version: 2.0.2

Probably the Best Blocker/Filter AvailableI found AdGuard Pro several years ago after trying several other ad blocking apps. Personally, I do not mind ads so much (except for ones that move or the ones where they are inserted in the article you are reading & you have scroll down to get past them) but what really bothers me is all the STALKING some sites do (I have 3rd party cookies turned off & still used to have cookies in Safari from Facebook & Google — cue “Every Breath You Take” by The Police). Since I started using AdGuard Pro (I create my own filters) which I can export & copy to other devices (e.g. my iPad & my computer) I am seeing a lot less tracking cookies in Safari. If there is a downside to AdGuard Pro it is that some knowledge of the “innards” of web pages is required. Please do not let this scare you off because you likely have a family member, friend or an acquaintance who can craft a filter for you. I know I do not fit the statistical profile (I am 71 & place a very high value on my privacy which means I took the time to learn how to create the necessary filters.).Version: 4.4.5

Power-User FeaturesThis is the most comprehensive ad/tracker blocking solution I’ve ever used (I’ve used many other “content blockers”... WeBlock comes close but lacks some of AdGuard Pro’s key features) The ability to choose from a variety of block lists has proved to be very useful. I found the best combo of lists for my needs after a day or two of internet use. The system-wide privacy module is great as well (the VPN feature). I’ve only enabled the three suggested hosts lists (might be overkill) and I notice that many of my apps now exclude ads (like banner ads in Pandora, Speedtest, and games). Best of all is the ability to see the log of what connections my device has been making in order to diagnose which additional ad/tracker connections I want to block. It’s also great just to see how many trackers I’m avoiding now! I’ve been told trackers slow down overall load times so that’s a major plus. Only downside for me is with the speed of the custom DNS service choices (which isn’t AdGuard’s fault). I was really hoping the Google DNS or OpenDNS services would help with response times, but I’ve found that sticking to the default system DNS option yields the fastest page response times, so I don’t use this feature. Overall an amazingly feature-rich application which I couldn’t live without on both my iPhone and Mac! Highly recommend..Version: 2.1.1

Does its jobWorth the subscription.Version: 4.2.1

ExcellentDoes everything it claims to do and then some Highly recommend.Version: 1.3.3

电脑于手机版本不错安卓 用处不大 不如用 Adblock.Version: 2.1.1

Works great!Had a little difficulty getting things working, but tech support was attentive and very helpful..Version: 4.4.6

It’s been said before ...... but having used this for a while it does exactly what it says on the tin..Version: 2.1.2

Really pleased!I have been really pleased with it. Plus I’ve found it does quite a lot more than I originally envisaged..Version: 2.1.1

Really greatVery reliable I’m always surprised how many ads there are on websites when I turn off my ad blocker and forget to turn it back on. I’ve been using the free version but considering that I’ve used AdGuard for quite a while I figured I’d use it. Definitely like the ability to selectively chose websites not to block.Version: 4.4.0

ExcellentIt’s doing its job perfectly, I don’t mind paying to remove ads but some sites don’t give you that option and it annoys me that they use the bandwidth that I pay for to bombard me with ads. If a website is of interest to me then I’m happy to except the ads and AdGuard Pro makes that decision possible.Version: 2.1.0

By far the best one out there! This app has really impressed me. The free version I was using for a long time offers great functionality and the high level of quality and performance made it an easy decision to upgrade to the pro version. I really respect their business model of offering a free, uncrippled functional product and having it prove itself worthy of buying..Version: 4.1.1

Won't get past "Loading filters into Safari"Was using this app. Used to work fine. Now it won't even get past the splash screen where it loads filters. Restarted app, cleared RAM, and even reset phone to new device. I don't even use safari but I can't access the vpn settings now. Thanks a lot. EDIT: even though fresh install of iOS didn't help, resetting network settings fixed it. Then it came back. And resetting network settings fixed it again. So I just won't be able to auto connect to wifi anymore at this rate.......Version: 2.0.2

5 Stars All The Way.This app is in a league of its own and is not just your ordinary ad blocker. This app has a list of Free And Private DNS servers you can choose from. It tells you where the servers are located and what the servers actually do and the protection each one provides. This feature alone makes this app stand out on its own! It is a ad blocker with many options and controls. I can not say enough about how powerful this app is!.Version: 2.1.2

Does a great jobI like this very much. (and i too love seeing all the blocked trackers). i enabled everything. ios 14 did bring a little less blocking, but it’s still great. the only thing i’d like different is this. i will be reading a home decor article in apple news and see a product i want to check out, so i click it (it’s not an ad per se, it’s featured in the article, it’s just a link to the product in the website selling it). i click then click the safari icon. ad guard blocks it. is there a way to tell it that “hey, she intentionally chose to go here, so let her?” overall, it tremendously improved both the speed and the enjoyment of not just safari, but facebook to (to some degree)..Version: 4.2.0

Superb ad blocking solutionAdguard is a phenomenal app for blocking ads in Safari and also system-wide. It provides 3 different features to do filtering in Safari, and system wide. 1. Content Blockers (Safari browser only) 2. DNS change: adguard let’s you choose from a few different DNS servers that support upstream ad blocking. It works for mobile and/or wifi connections. Filtering doesn’t happen directly on your device, instead it relies on the upstream DNS server to have a good quality blacklist and not respond when your iOS device asks for the IP address for a domain that is on the black list. You’re subject to the privacy policy of that DNS company. 3. DNS Filters: Adguard downloads a domain blacklist file and is stored on your Before your device asks an upstream DNS server for the IP address of a domain, it first checks the blacklist it has stored, and if the domain is on that list then it won’t be able to connect at all. It works system wide meaning it can block third party apps from contacting known advertising domains, and therefore ads often don’t load. This particular feature is hidden by default and is only visible if you turn on advanced settings and use a pseudo-VPN profile instead of the native DNS option..Version: 4.4.4

So far so good.Have had the app for about a month. Loved the fact that there is a setup video. Was easy to get things started and works very well. Also have it on my MacBook Pro. Reason for the 4 stars is due to the fact that they started off strong with creating a platform and what to do videos, but after it’s all set on your phone your pretty much left to your own welling. Due wish they had more videos and what the app can do..Version: 2.1.1

Good support.Developers that really support their app. Thanks!.Version: 1.3.1

GoodSeems like it’s doing something. Do wish you got a discount for the computer version if you have the pro version on your phone.Version: 2.1.2

Better than AdBlock by FutureMindThis ad blocker is way better than AdBlock. The UI is so simple and sleek with the black theme and when you restart or turn on your device it automatically reconnects back without opening the app again. Worth the 99p this is a bargain compared to AdBlock. But I would like that an update comes out for iCloud syncing so you can save all your settings to all your devices..Version: 2.1.1

So value for money and a must have app.I’m very much pleased for the AdGuard team itself and what they stand for. It’s one of a kind and by far the best adblocking technology I’ve seen. I was amazed by the element blocking feature in safari. Simply efficient and easy to choose the elements just by the sliding bar. Thumbs up..Version: 4.1.0

This is a great system-wide blocker**Current version breaks Safari plugin for me so I’ve reverted to system-wide DNS blocking** This is an awesome app that seems to fly a little under the radar. Fine-grain control over what severs you’re blocking amongst other detailed settings..Version: 4.5

This is legitThis app is a real app blocker for all users. It blocks every single app even mobile game apps. For more complicated ads in websites, you also have the opportunities to add user rules to block them. Recommend to buy it!! You won't be disappointed!!.Version: 4.3.3

It’s easily the best, but that battery consumption…Possibly more than any other app on my i-devices, this one has made the most impact. AdGuard Pro makes every online activity so much speedier and far more enjoyable. For its functionality, I wish I could give it 6 stars out of 5. But what’s up with the continuous battery consumption? AdGuard Pro never stops draining the battery. I use my iPad, for example, two hours per day. But AdGuard Pro uses it 24-7. Can’t they make the app do its background battery use only when the device is awake?.Version: 4.2.2

NiceWorks well.Version: 2.1.2

Abandonware ??Unfortunately, this app looks like abandonware. After reading on their website about all this app can do and the warm fuzzy reviews on the App Store, I purchased the app. It works very well. Then I discovered an article on their website with this statement: "AdGuard Pro for iOS (still usable but currently is not subject to maintenance/improvement updates)". They could have been a tad more truthful up front about their current development plans in the description on the App Store. Let’s hope they continue development..Version: 2.1.1

Works like magicWorth the money.Version: 4.2.2

The app is greatHowever, the restriction still hurts, wish that the 3 extensions work around to have 150k rules would be implemented (as a pro exclusive)..Version: 2.1.1

Excellent app the best out there ❤️Some sites you go to you get a pop up and before you can go any further permission is required for them to put cookies on your device and provide you with adds tailored to whatever they think you might want to buy, I really wanted to browse a certain site so I clicked on ok and gave permission for everything just to get rid of the stupid pop up that was covering the whole page, I searched the site and found the thermostat housing for my car and didn’t see one advert, nothing, even though I had reluctantly given permission for everything, AdGuard still didn’t let any adds get through. Thank you AdGuard will use you forever. Still good 5th April 2021 👍.Version: 4.2.2

Finally updatedFinally updated. Works really well. Worth it..Version: 4.0.2

IOS Adblock that finally worksSo many feature and the app works great after you spend 666 years trying to work out how to add lists :) in the end I did prevail and it works just as promised.Version: 2.1.0

PerfectPleasantly surprised to see the new update when I launched the app this morning. Hard to find any faults with it now. Good job!.Version: 4.0.1

AdGuardVery good..Version: 4.4.6

GreatBeen using this for many years. Back in 17’. Trustworthy company pushing towards innovation in the ad blocking/VPN space. Updates are not as frequent is which is the only negative. But they have a huge backing from GitHub and proud community contributors. Also, with the newest update you can now use the adguard filter and all the blocklists they use in the primary DNS. This is great if a certain provider works better for you or want to use a custom DNS of your choice, so you don’t lose out on their filters. Easily the best part for someone like myself who had to hunt for each curated list that Adguard uses. Great! I look forward to see the new Adguard this year. Hope you guys do something special for long time registered Adguard accounts for the new service. Cheers to privacy! 🤘.Version: 4.3.1

Great programI have used this program for many years. It has always done what it is suppose to do. I have used the extension on all my browsers. Now that I have iPad generation 7, I love their safari browser, but felt it needed protecting. I am glad that aguard is here. It does the job just right. Getting rid of the popups, the adds, and many of the intrusions. Keep up the good work, it is worth every penny..Version: 2.1.2

Awesome! This is a great product, especially in combination with AdGuard for one’s laptop or desktop computer. I’ve had occasion to contact the developers, and they were knowledgeable and helpful with a problem I was having. I got the feeling they really care about defending our privacy, against all the prevailing forces who want to monetize our data. Highly recommended!.Version: 2.1.2

Great!Good for safari but doesn’t really work for in-app ads like youtube and others. Question for the developers; is there a way to setup the app to block in-app ads? I’m using the pro version in full tunnel mode. Thanks. Update Xmas day 2019: Great local VPN ad blocker. It works fine for 90% of cases. 4/5 stars because the app will crash when there are too many block requests. For example, I cannot use it with google news; the vpn is constantly crashing and restarting. It doesn’t block youtube ads, but I don’t blame the vpn. Google’s youtube ads are likely not blockable on an iOS VPN. I’m not an expert though..Version: 2.1.2

The multiple filters feature is really nice but privacy concerns...It blocks 95% of ads and the anti-disable adblock mechanism works well. However, i hope someone can explain whether is it the same policy for iOS content blocker as the extension found on the mac App store regarding privacy/access to browsing history. The mac safari extension has two additional components: the adguard icon and advanced blocking, both of them can access sensitive information if enabled (according to apple). The remaining 6 components: social, privacy, other, ... do not have ANY permission to data access web page i visited. And so I’m only comfortable using those 6 only. However, settings for iOS safari content blocker says it differently, “....content blockers can’t send any info about what was blocked back to the app”. Although there’s no adguard icon or any other components asking for access, does that mean the same thing like on the mac version, where adguard just tell safari what to block and can’t access my private browsing data (like adguard icon on mac)?.Version: 4.0.2

ExcellentVery good app. Works as indicated..Version: 4.2.1

No longer works since the last updateUpdate: seems like it’s working now. I uninstalled it and reinstalled from the App Store and I haven’t had the problem since! When I try to use the ad blocker it simply disables my internet since the last update. I tried removing the VPN profile and re-adding and it still doesn’t work. So sad because it was great for a few years and now I doesn’t work. 😭.Version: 4.3.1

ExcellentThis app is great! I would 100% recommend this app to friends. So good to see an app that actually does what it advertises and more! Great job guys!.Version: 2.1.1

Pretty ace productI have always be used to finding the odd web page with hidden redirect threads or troublesome pages that have things that run before you noticed, while reading up on various related pages for work I have found this to stop every one of the problem links basically it’s the only product you need for web related work.Version: 2.1.2

ExcellentMight add double or complementary dns.Version: 4.4.4

A freeLove it. Works amazingly well. You really notice if you pick up someone else’s device up that doesn’t have it. Only problem I have noticed is it won’t allow FaceTime to connect. I believe it’s money well spent..Version: 4.1.0

DNS ProtectionThe DNS protection feature in this app is so good that the price is justified even if that’s all that was included. It is highly configurable and allows you to add new blocklists, whitelist or blacklist specific domains, and allows you to select a custom DNS server! Also supports encrypted DNS! Not to mention, it’s a great tool for monitoring your devices network activity to see what apps are doing. The user interface is also incredibly clean and AdGuard’s built in block list is really effective and I’ve yet to encounter any false positives. Not to mention AdGuard is open source. I highly recommend this app, and believe it’s an essential privacy tool..Version: 4.4.3

Others failed this one successful works thanksIf just works every time Thanks Jon.Version: 2.1.2

RIYTo see what will happen 😀.Version: 4.1.1

Excellent!Better then the regular AdGuard!.Version: 4.2.2

The best FACT!!!!!Nothing beats this. I have tried them all it's way ahead of any other adblocker.Version: 4.1.0

The best hands down.I use it on my Mac and Windows machines as well. It’s always worked great for me. Nice to see they’ve finally updated it and made it even better on iOS too!!.Version: 4.1.1

Edgard, a good ad blockerBlocks ads very well on your phone.Version: 4.4.5

So far so goodAfter hearing about the scary reality of internet tracking (if you’re not a paying customer then you’re the product!) I decided I would like to take some precautions against the more sinister aspects of web browsing. Although I’m sure I won’t be able to fool the likes of google or facebook, this app ticks all of the boxes in regard to highlighting which apps are tracking me and allows me to make informed decisions based on this information. It sits quietly working in the background of my iOS and seems to filter all the chuff generally associated with websites these days. There’s lots of customisable functions that I haven’t really sunk my teeth into yet, but this is working very well for me currently and well worth the £1.99 price tag. Thanks!.Version: 2.1.2

Works a treatJust supurb.Version: 4.1.1

UPDATE-Working AgainThe Adguard Support Team has fixed the issues Apple and Facebook have tried to stop. Facebook is the WORST app for clickbait and malicious pop ups. Apple should be more worried about that than an app that helps iPhone owners. No more popups saying "You're A Winner" or "Your Phone Has A Virus." If you hate ads, clickbait and malicious pop ups GET THIS APP. It has been fixed! If you have an issue Contact SUPPORT for Adguard Pro! I did and so far it has paid off..Version: 1.3.1

Almost 5 starGreat app and gets rid of annoying ads. Would be 5 star if it blocked those annoying ‘open tab’ hidden ads which open a new tab when I click the screen. Main reason for paying for this app but it does not stop those unfortunately.Version: 4.4.0

Works better than I expected!Considering getting this for Desktop since it blocks in-apps ads too..Version: 4.2.0

Apple has to ruin everythingThis app I was so glad I bought. System wide ad blocking was nice. Now, sadly no more. But within Safari, it still blocks ads 100%. It is still worth the purchase. I really do hope one day they figure out a way to bring back system ad blocking. It isn’t AdGuard’s fault that Apple has decided to make up rules just because it isn’t getting ad revenue from users of this app now. It however is a great app for decluttering Safari. No more ads in Safari at least :).Version: 2.1.1

I love the AppIt’s very effective and efficient..Version: 4.1.1

So far really goodUsing this app for stupid websites with too many ads, quite a lot of ads are blocked; but as stated in description, only 99% of ads are blocked. I still see the occasional ad dotted around. Overall I’m happy..Version: 2.1.2

AdguardNice and easy. Does what it says. Like it a lot ... stopped all annoying pop ups and doesn’t affect internet speed. 100%.Version: 2.1.1
