✓ Good in theoryThis app is good in theory, but when you use it it crashes all the time, muddles up the names of lists, and most recently won’t allow me to add my own words to a list. It needs more test8 g before new versions are released as it is always going wrong..AzureraspberryVersion: 1.17.10

✓ Words not phonetically soundingDisappointed as I thought this would be like the schools SpellingShed where the word is sounded phonetically, however this sounds out the words alphabetically. If you hunt you can find some phonetic lists, however there is not very many. Would have been better if all lists could either sound alphabetically or phonetically!!!! ✓ We have loved this until the last updateThis app is brilliant for teaching your child to spell. However the last update has cause the Boise to change to a male, and some words are not sounding properly so your child can not understand them and gets the spelling wrong! ✓ Does it need VPN?I live in country where many foreign apps are banned. I can’t seem to open the app no matter what I’ve tried. I’ve tried using phone data, VPN (anonymous Internet address) and no VPN. Different VPN types also. ✓ Poor for dyslexic childrenNo thought has been given to children who need to be able to break a word into phonetic groups to learn the pattern and sounds within a word. ✓ Was good before updateHave been using this app for ages now and with two children. The recent update has left a glitch where you are unable to add your own words to a list you create, only select words from the stage lists. This doesn’t help when children have to learn words not on these lists. I can now only get my son to practise some of his 10 spellings on the app rather than all of them. ✓ App doesn’t work.This app was needed for my sons homework. I purchased in good faith, it does not work properly. At first it would give a word to spell, without the correct letter options to spell it, on the beekeeper option of his spelling list it repeats the same 4 or 5 words and does not ask for the full 10 words. ✓ Not quite there yet ……I really want to love this app. It has so much potential and I especially like the feature to create your own spelling lists. Unfortunately though, it is just too twitchy. I have created several of my own lists. When I close the app all the lists look fine but when I reopen the app some of the lists have switched names and some words have disappear from the lists. App updates have not managed to sort this. If anything it seems to have made things worse. ✓ Good, but could be improvedI purchased this app for my oldest because my younger son is using it at school. In this version there is no avatar for them to create or improve, the more honey they gain; so no reason to keep playing the game. Also as a parent you cannot see a history of their scores. The child can take a screen shot of their score which is time stamped, but it doesn't say what level they were playing! I am a bit disappointed..LittleToesVersion: 1.8.7

✓ GlitchyThe new update has caused this great app to be very glitchy. Deleting words from list causes the app to crash….every time and it also has caused the app to crash at start up. ✓ The spelling list doesn’t get updatedMy school sends a list every week, however the list is always updated on spelling shed when accessed from browser. I paid for the app to have better experience but was charged 3 times and the list doesn’t get updated. Absolute waste of money. Avoid and use the same on browser for free!.Myra-RaVersion: 1.16.8

✓ Fun and easyEasy to use and good fun, I like the option of creating your own list and the different level of difficulty are great. Only down side is that you cannot track history / results so you have to monitor your child to see how they get on and it would also be nice to be able to create a list of the words they are struggling with..SimonM2012Version: 1.8.17

✓ Very disappointingJust purchased this game and it’s not worth the money at all. Most words are not put into a sentence so if the pronunciation isn’t good (which it often isn’t) it’s hard to even know what the word is. There are even no sentences for common homophones so kids have no idea which version of a word is being tested. Yes you can create custom lists - but with no way to custom record the sounds of these words - even this can not fix the previously mentioned issues. With these custom lists, you can only play one game on the app (compared with the online version where you can play multiple different games). Save your money and just access through the web. ✓ What has happened??I love this app for my children - and the new update is awful! Can’t open the app. Tried reinstalling. Finally manage to get it re installed. Go to make a list it crashes after you add every word? Do you not test an update to an app before you roll it out? I hope you are working on fixing this very soon. ✓ Creating my own list doesn’t work?Purchased this so that my son could have some help with learning his weekly spellings from school. In the beginning it worked fine, but for a while now, at least 4 months, the create your own list hasn’t been working. I contacted the developers months back and had no reply. ✓ Can’t be used with school login; useless!!My daughter was really excited to get this on her iPad as they use it at school and have a login with league tables. Worked for a few hours, but them started glitching and shutting down as soon as she opened it.
